Julia Fox is no stranger to creating controversy in the online world. Surprisingly, the most recent backlash she’s facing has more to do with a relative than her. Earlier this month, the actresses’ brother, Christopher Fox, was arrested along with their father Thomas, during an NYPD raid. At the time, authorities reportedly uncovered ghost guns and evidence of narcotics manufacturing inside their shared apartment. According to Page Six, items found include fentanyl, chloroform, heroin, crack, cocaine, pressure cookers, and other drug paraphernalia.
The mother of one was reportedly out of town when the raid took place at her family member’s house. She was apparently unaware of Christopher’s alleged crimes. Still, she gave support to him by co-signing a $450K bond with Thomas (who was previously let go from jail) to get her brother out of Rikers Island on Monday. As the news made rounds online, some users began criticizing Fox for standing by her sibling. She markedly addressed this in a TikTok on Thursday (March 16).

“I know my brother. I’ve always known him to be like — I’m not kidding, you guys — the sweetest, most gentle, kind, soft-spoken. Loves animals, loves to plant flowers, has a green thumb, loves nature,” the Italian starlet explained to viewers yesterday. However, she did note that Christopher and her “have a lot of trauma.” Julia describes herself as “scrappy” and “a fighter” who was able to throw her aggression and “release that rage.” On the other hand, she says her brother had a tendency to “internalize” his own anger.
While it’s certainly been a scary experience, Fox is grateful she’ll be able to get Christopher “the help [she’s] been trying to get him for so long.” The Uncut Gems star added, “I wish I could say more but I don’t want to damage his case or anything like that but I will say that I’m just embarrassed.” Thankfully, she’s got other, more positive things to help occupy her mind through this troubling time, such as the highly anticipated return of her Forbidden Fruits podcast.
Forbidden Fruits’ Return
Julia Fox co-hosts the Spotify Original series with her friend Niki Takesh, and they’ve had some interesting guests in the past, to say the least. To kick off their latest season, the girls shared not one, but two episodes – the first a catch-up between the Forbidden Fruits creators, and the second an interview with Fyre Festival scammer Billy MacFarland. Check out both shows below, and tap back in later for more pop culture news updates.
