Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift’s Parents To Meet At Chiefs-Eagles

Not only will this week’s Monday Night Football game see Travis Kelce face off against his brother, but his parents are also expected to meet the parents of Taylor Swift. While plans aren’t fully confirmed, Andrea and Scott Swift are expected to share a luxury box with Donna and Ed Kelce, according to ET. Taylor’s father is reportedly a massive Eagles fan, although Travis claims to have converted him to the Chiefs fandom.

This claim, made on the Kelce Brothers’ podcast, New Heights, prompted Jason to shoot Scott Swift a DM. “What are we doing, Scott? You’re gonna let this man’s devilish good looks and relationship with your daughter sway you from a lifetime of fandom, Scott? Ridiculous,” Jason’s message to Swift read. However, it’s unclear if Taylor herself will be in attendance. She is due to perform in Rio de Janeiro for the three nights preceding the game. However, much like Kelce did to come see her in Argentina, she might pull a marathon trip to make the game.

Furthermore, Kelce used the latest podcast episode to speak on his recent trip to Argentina. Kelce admitted that he was “blown away” by an impromptu lyric change that Taylor Swift made to shout him out at a concert in Argentina last week. “Definitely when I heard it come out of her mouth, it still shocked me and blew me away,” he said. “I was like, ‘Oh, shhh! She really just said that! All right!’” Travis told his brother on their podcast.

Additionally, Travis revealed more about the dinner in Buenos Aires that he and Swift were spotted at by an ESPN reporter. According to Kelce, it also featured Swift’s dad. It’s unclear if this was the first time that Kelce had met Swift’s family. Kelce has put something of a lock on his relationship in recent weeks. However, he was happy to talk about Argentina since it was largely “public knowledge”.

Patrick Mahomes Reveals His Bizarre Gameday Superstition

Patrick Mahomes revealed this week that he has a pair of underwear that he wears for every NFL game he plays in. Speaking on the ManningCast this past Monday, Mahomes revealed he always dons a pair of red underwear given to him by his wife back in 2017. “First, my wife Brittany got them for me, so I’m not throwin’ y’all down, but I have to wear ’em, ya know. At the same time, I threw ’em on that first season [and] we had a pretty good season that season. I clean ’em. I wash ’em. Every once in a while, at least. I mean, if we’re on a hot streak, I can’t wash ’em, you know? I’ve gotta just keep it rolling,” he explained.

However, it’s not the first time the story has come to light. Back in February, longtime Chiefs backup Chad Henne mentioned Mahomes’ superstition during a podcast interview. Furthermore, Mahomes noted that he had no plans of scrapping the tradition anytime soon. “As long as I’m winning football games, I’ll keep the superstition going,” he noted. The Chiefs are 7-2 this season, with Mahomes having yet another excellent year under center.

Someone who could probably use a lucky pair of underwear right now is Deshaun Watson. The Cleveland Browns have announced that Watson will be sidelined for the rest of the season. According to a statement from the team, Watson will undergo surgery to repair a fracture in his throwing shoulder. Watson reportedly sustained the injury in the first half of the Browns game against the Ravens last weekend. However, the 28-year-old remained in the game, which was also arguably his performance since signing with Cleveland.

Injuries have marred Watson’s entire 2023 campaign. He missed four games earlier in the season due to a rotator cuff strain. In the six games he did play, he threw for 1115 yards and 7 touchdowns. His numbers are almost equivalent to his output across the six games he played last season. Overall, it puts an end to what was meant to be Watson’s redemption season after starting his Browns career on an 11-game suspension after being accused of sexual harassment and assault by over 20 women.

Eli Manning has encouraged Travis Kelce to visit Taylor Swift in Argentina. The singer is currently performing a trio of Eras Tour concerts in Buenos Aires. “I think for him to travel, there’s nothing wrong with traveling, going somewhere. Hey, if he wants to go and support his girlfriend and see her play a concert, I’ve got no problem with that. I think that’s the idea. [The bye week] is the time to rest the body, rest the mind a little bit, recharge yourself to get ready for that second half of the season,” Manning told PEOPLE.

Kelce did not attend the first Eras Tour show in Buenos Aires on November 9. Instead, Kelce was spotted in Kansas City, attending a gala for the foundation of his friend and quarterback, Patrick Mahomes. At the ceremony, Kelce was also honored after becoming the Chiefs’ all-time leader in receiving yards this past weekend. Swift is performing in the Argentinian capital for another two days. Next week, she heads to Brazil. Kelce is unlikely to join her there due to Chiefs games on November 20 and 26.

Justyn Ross Allegedly Assaulted Girlfriend And Knifed Her Car Over Cheating Rumors

Court documents have shone more light on why Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross was arrested last week. The affidavit states that after Ross reportedly learned of his partner’s infidelity, he allegedly pushed her to the ground and began throwing household objects at her. Furthermore, a number of witnesses claimed they saw Ross “run a small knife” across the exterior of the woman’s Mercedes. However, the document also states that Ross denied the claims. According to him, he only threw her belongings out of the house and did break a laptop, but claimed that it was his property.

Ross was placed on the commissioner’s exempt list on October 27, four days after his arrest and not-guilty plea. Ross had been played sparingly across the start of the 2023 season, appearing in three games for the Chiefs and racking up just 34 yards. He was an undrafted free agent signed in 2022. However, he missed his entire rookie season due to an offseason foot injury. At the trade deadline (October 31), the Chiefs traded for Jets receiver Mecole Hardman Jr. to add some depth at the position.

Things started normal enough, with one reporter asking for a basic relationship update. “The latest status is I got to see her last week. That’s the latest status right there,” Kelce said, seemingly implying that the couple didn’t spend Halloween together. However, the reporter pushed their luck, asking if Kelce was in love with the singer. “I’m going to keep my personal relationship personal,” he responded bluntly.

Furthermore, Kelce didn’t answer a question as to whether Swift would be attending the game in Germany. He reiterated that he wanted to keep his relationship private. However, it’s unlikely that Swift will be in attendance. Similar to last weekend against the Broncos, Swift will likely skip the game as she prepares to go on tour. Swift is set to perform in Argentina on November 9, meaning it would be a surprise if she traveled to and from Germany less than a week before the show.

Mike McDaniel Plays Down Chiefs Game

On the other side of the game, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel played down expectations for the game. “I’ll tell you what’s going to happen with the Miami Dolphins. We lose, we can’t beat good teams. Furthermore, McDaniel spoke on the spate of injuries that are affecting the Dolphins. “We still have a day to assess and we’re not going to get ahead of ourselves, but it’s been very encouraging and we feel optimistic, but have to just see how today plays out to make sure that there’s no setbacks. We feel very good about all the offensive linemen we play, and there’s a long season, so we don’t want — there’s no reason for him to be pressing through something that might hurt him in the long run,” he said. In particular, he referenced the potential return of Terron Armstead, who is eligible to come off injured reserve this week.

Furthermore, a majority of his Swift-attended stats can be attributed to his two most recent games – monster performances against the Broncos (124 yards) and Chargers (174 yards). Before the Broncos game, Kelce hadn’t cracked 70 yards in a game. Furthermore, the games Swift didn’t attend include a 26-yard showing in a defensive slugfest against the Jaguars. Fun, but not exactly statistically significant.

However, it’s not been all fun and games for Travis Kelce. Speaking with NBC, his brother Jason expressed some concerns about the amount of media attention Travis’ relationship has been getting. “It’s certainly been weird, the level that it is now. On one hand, I’m happy for my brother that he seems to be in a relationship that he’s excited about [and] that he is genuine about. But there’s another end of it where it’s like, ‘Man, this is a lot.’ There’s paparazzi talking about him fueling his car before the game today and I’m like, ‘Is that really necessary information to share?’ This is another level of stardom that typically football players don’t deal with,” Kelce told NBC Sports this past weekend.

Travis Kelce is perhaps the most spotlighted player in the NFL right now thanks to his relationship with Taylor Swift. While Jason also said that he was fine with Travis getting the attention as long as it didn’t jeopardize his safety, it may have already reached that point. Kelce reportedly recently purchased a new home in a gated community, in part due to the level of attention his current home received from paparazzi and fans. Essentially, he averages around 100 yards per game whenever she shows up. However, when “left to his own devices,” he is only able to muster an average of 46.5 yards per game. Although some may find these stats to be a “reach,” there is something to be said about a man who wants to impress his girl. She had been complaining about every NFL broadcast featuring the Kansas City Chiefs focusing on the couple’s relationship. Clarkson clarified her comments during a statement on Instagram, on Saturday.

I did not bash anyone’s romance,” Clarkson wrote on Instagram. “I am pro romance. Yay romance Did y’all even watch what I actually said on my show?
