Nick Saban Golfs With 50 Cent And Travis Scott

Nick Saban is clearly enjoying retirement as he teamed up with 50 Cent and Travis Scott at a charity golf event last weekend. Saban hit the links in Palm Beach as part of the Mr. October Celebrity Golf Classic. Hosted by former MLB superstar Reggie Jackson (Mr. October), Saban’s pairing for the event was Fif and Scott. The event raised over $1M for Jackson’s foundation, which helps acquire STEM funding.

Saban is an avid golfer and has been throughout his tenured coaching career. He is neighbors with Tiger Woods after purchasing a property in Jupiter, Florida last year. Furthermore, he is also the partial owner of the Waterall Club, a private golf community in Clayton, Georgia.

Nick Saban Says Retirement Was Not Due to NIL

Meanwhile, Saban, who is less than a month removed from his shock retirement, has insisted that he did not retire due to NIL. “Don’t make it about that. It’s not about that. To me, if you choose to coach, you don’t need to be complaining about all that stuff. You need to adjust to it and adapt to it and do the best you can under the circumstances and not complain about it,” Saban told ESPN. While Saban had previously expressed doubts about NIL, namely that is could create a “pay to play” system, he also acknowledged that it was the future of college athletes.

First reported by ESPN, Saban announced his retirement on January 10. Saban hung up his headset after 17 seasons with the Crimson Tide. Saban led Alabama to six national titles and finished the 2023 season with a Rose Bowl loss to eventual champions Michigan. Saban’s coaching journey began all the way back in 1973 as a graduate assistant at Kent State. His first head coaching role was at Toledo in 1990. He would hold the same position at Michigan State, LSU, and the Miami Dolphins before coming to Alabama in 2007. He immediately turned around an ailing program, turning them into them into the powerhouse they are today.

Cardi B In Good Spirits At Charity Event After Offset Split

Lately, Cardi B has been wrapped up in quite a bit of drama involving her and Offset’s breakup. The split has led to plenty of speculation, with cheating rumors running rampant in recent days. The “Bodak Yellow” performer has taken the time to give back amid the debacle, however, attending a charity event earlier this week.

The event, hosted by the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, took place on Tuesday (December 19) in New York. The foundation aims to provide economically disadvantaged children with presents around the holidays. Cardi appeared to be in good spirits at the event, smiling and posing with fans for a good cause. Clearly, Cardi wasn’t about the let the drama stop her from attending, and supporters are glad to see her out and about wearing a smile.

After all, it was only a few days ago that followers saw the hitmaker driven to tears on Instagram Live, going in on her ex for his alleged wrongdoings. “He likes to play games with me. Of course, fans followed suit, and have been bombarding the former Migo with hate as of late.

While it remains unclear whether or not the former couple with ever reconcile, it looks like they may have to at least be civil with one another in the near future. Earlier this week, it was reported that the two of them are scheduled to perform at the same venue on New Year’s Eve. Zion Williamson School Partnership Trolled On Social Media

Things have gone so, so badly for Zion Williamson this week. It all began with Williamson posting images from the gender reveal party he was throwing alongside baby momma Ahkeema. This led OnlyFans creator Moriah Mills to accuse Williamson of infidelity on Twitter. Mills leaked various messages from Williamson, while also claiming they had hooked up as recently as last week. Furthermore, Mills claimed that the Pelicans forward was paying for her to move to New Orleans. More recently, microblading artist and influencer Yami Taylor has also claimed that she was very recently in a sexual relationship with Williamson, going as far as to call him a “nasty ass sex addict” in her Instagram call out.

The internet has had a lot of fun roasting the injury-plagued forward. Stephen A. Smith delivered a particularly masterful response to the whole situation. Meanwhile, former NBA star Gilbert Arenas came to Williamson’s defense with a passionate, if eccentric, take on the situation. However, social media is gearing up for a second round of shenanigans after Williamson’s team began to lay down some desperate damage control.

Williamson Does School Photo Op, Twitter Goes Wild

On June 9, Zion Williamson announced that he was partnering with schools in Jefferson Parish for the Summer Bridge program. The program’s focus is to meet the needs of those students who need assistance getting ahead with reading. Williamson donated $250,000 to the program, highlighting how he was helped immensely by similar programs while was growing up. “That changed my childhood. I don’t know where I’d be without this camp.”

Whether this partnership was planned before this week is unclear. However, there is likely no worse time that they could have announced it. Social media immediately pounced on the story, speculating as to whether the move was a PR strategy to take some heat off Williamson following all of this week’s headlines. Furthermore, others pointed to the fact that Williamson was seemingly counteracting a sex scandal with wholesome images of him with schoolchildren. As mentioned, it’s likely that this was already in the works when the headlines began to hit. However, if that’s the case then his team really should have considered the optics of what they were doing it because they are…real bad.

Halle Berry recently posted a funny video of a nasty fall she had at a recent charity event. While it clearly caused concern in the moment, the actress seemed to laugh it off. After all, one of the most graceful things you can do for the media is make fun of yourself when you do something ungracefully. Furthermore, the 56-year-old posted a video of her faceplant with “Rasputin” by Boney M hilariously playing in the background. In her post’s caption, she explained what the event itself was for and pointed people towards a good cause.

Children are worth it!” Furthermore, the video shows her walking up to speak amid applause, then falling as she tripped on a step. At the podium, she laughed at herself and joked, “If I see this on the Internet…” before posting it herself.

Meanwhile, she had more laughs on Instagram after pranking fans into thinking she and Van Hunt got engaged last year. Moreover, it seems like she loves to have fun with the app, and with people’s emotions. After trolling followers with a fake engagement post, she teased them with an explanation. “We were just having some New Year’s Day fun!” she stated. “People clearly don’t swipe as much as we thought they did.
