Cesar Pina Is Allegedly Driving For Uber & Lyft Amid Fraud Case

Cesar Pina came to prominence thanks to his association with DJ Envy. Overall, the two were business partners in a real estate endeavor. Envy touted Pina’s business acumen on numerous occasions and even introduced Pina to his famous friends. However, Envy was scrutinized following the revelation that Pina was running an alleged scheme on his investors. Eventually, Pina was arrested and charged with fraud. Meanwhile, Envy has been seen as a victim in all of this, and is not facing charges.

According to AllHipHop, Pina’s legal woes have continued and it has left him in a bit of a bind. Overall, he isn’t exactly employable right now. Furthermore, with legal fees piling up, he needs to find a way to make money. Consequently, the real estate investor has decided to start driving for Uber and Lyft in the meantime. It is honest work, however, considering what he was doing before, many would see this as a downgrade.

Cesar Pina Reportedly Attempting To Secure Plea Deal In Fraud Case

Cesar Pina became a household name in the hip-hop world a few months back due to is association with DJ Envy. Overall, Pina had been arrested on fraud charges pertaining to an alleged real estate scheme. This subsequently led to side-eye glances at Envy who was promoting Pina as a real estate investor that he was working with. Eventually, Envy noted that he had no idea of Pina’s alleged scams and that he was a victim in all of this. Although fans crafted their own narratives, Envy has not been arrested, nor is he at risk right now.

As for Pina, according to AllHipHop, the negotiations for a plea deal have officially begun. It was reported back in January that Pina was looking for a plea deal. However, the most recent update is that the judge in the case has granted more time. This was laid out in a new court order that was obtained by AllHipHop. At the time of writing this, Pina faces 20 years in prison if found guilty. However, with a plea deal, he would be getting a lot less time. Only time will tell how it all goes down.

Cesar Pina Seeks A Plea

“Plea negotiations are currently in progress, and both the United States and the defendant desire additional time to negotiate a plea agreement, which would render grand jury proceedings and a trial in this matter unnecessary,” the order explains. “Thus, the ends of justice served by granting the continuance and preventing any further non-excludable days from passing … outweigh the best interest of the public and the defendant in a speedy trial.”

Let us know what you think about this case, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that there will be any consequences for DJ Envy, or will he be fine considering he is a victim in all of this? Do you believe Pina will get jail time? Cesar Pina & His Wife Wanted By Authorities For Ignoring Court Order

Cesar Pina is now facing a whole lot more legal trouble thanks to his alleged failure to comply in a bankruptcy case. Moreover, for those unaware, he filed for bankruptcy following a long series of Ponzi scheme allegations against him accusing him of fraud. In fact, Pina’s former business partner DJ Envy also experienced some blowback as a result, although he’s since exited the case as a perpetrator. As for this current development, New Jersey Judge Rosemary Gambardella ordered U.S. Marshals to arrest Cesar and his wife Jennifer Iturralde Pina on Tuesday (February 20), according to court documents reportedly obtained by AllHipHop.

Specifically, the judge brought up the couple’s contempt over a December 2023 court order as the reasoning behind this arrest. Apparently, Cesar Pina and his wife ignored orders to provide documentation for their bankruptcy case despite “good and sufficient notice.” DJ Envy seemingly complied with his subpoena around the same time as this ignored court order. Nevertheless, according to Judge Gambardella’s orders, U.S. Marshals will arrest the two on or after Friday (February 23). Not only that, but the judge also called for officials to “use reasonable force to execute this order” to bring them to Newark, and to “arrest any person who impedes its execution.”

Furthermore, last year, Cesar Pina received charges of one count of wire fraud in connection to an alleged multi-million fraud scheme. “Pina exploited celebrity status and social media to develop a devoted following of potential victims,” Philip R. Sellinger, U.S. Attorney, stated. “[He promised] returns that were too good to be true, [and] Pina allegedly defrauded dozens of people of millions of dollars.” While DJ Envy avoided criminal charges despite some lawsuits, it seems like consequences will be much harder to avoid for the supposed main string-puller.

Meanwhile, The Breakfast Club‘s host is still listed as a codefendant in this case. As such, it’s unclear exactly how the rest of this court proceeding will play out in terms of who should really be held accountable. But it’s been a long case so far, so we aren’t anticipating any easy fixes. For more news and the latest updates on the Cesar Pina situation, log back into HNHH.

DJ Envy Still Listed As A Defendant In Cesar Pina’s Real Estate Fraud Case: Report

DJ Envy remains listed as a defendant in Cesar Pina’s alleged real estate fraud case. This news comes despite attorney Philip Guarino filing for dismissal against all but two defendants. According to documents obtained by HipHopDX, Guarino argues that none of his clients have committed any possible crimes.

“Plaintiff’s claim for securities fraud should be dismissed as against all defendants. Plaintiffs fail to allege what defendants, if any, were parties to the contracts that were allegedly breached,” they wrote.

The latest update comes after Pina’s legal team recently confirmed that he is willing to testify against his former business partner. The judge in the case had requested a number of documents related to the Breakfast Club co-host’s business dealings with Pina. “At this time, I am happy to report that on Friday, January 5, 2024, we forwarded our responses and document production to counsel for the Trustee in these aforementioned cases,” his attorney, Daniel Marchese, wrote. “Given the professional back-and-forth between counsel and I since then, it would appear that indeed the responses and the production were acknowledged and received by the Trustee. With this writing, I therefore confirm my client’s compliance with Your Honor’s Order. As I offered to Trustee’s counsel, I will likewise offer to the Court that should sworn testimony (in any form) be needed to affirm my client’s responses and production, he would readily oblige.”

DJ Envy Remains Named As A Defendant

Envy isn’t facing any charges in connection to his dealings with Pina; however, several lawsuits have named him. Envy has argued he is one of Pina’s “victims” in the alleged real estate scam. Be on the lookout for further updates on DJ Envy and Cesar Pina on HotNewHipHop.

DJ Envy Might Testify Against Cesar Pina In Real Estate Fraud Case: Report

New reports from AllHipHop indicate that DJ Envy might testify against his former business partner Cesar Pina if a judge calls for it in their real estate fraud case. For those unaware, both men face various accusations of wrongdoing for their business practices, allegedly defrauding investors out of millions of dollars. Moreover, back in December, the court ordered the media personality to provide documentation about Pina’s bankruptcy filing and their transactions around this time, as they allegedly had a very close relationship. Despite this suspicion, Envy’s legal team stated that they handed over all requested info, and that he will testify if so required by the legal process.

“We are aware that on December 20, 2023, the Court issued an Order compelling the production of documents demanded in those subpoenas,” DJ Envy’s attorney Daniel Marchese expressed in court documents reportedly obtained by AllHipHop. “At this time, I am happy to report that on Friday, January 5, 2024, we forwarded our responses and document production to counsel for the Trustee in these aforementioned cases. Given the professional back-and-forth between counsel and I since then, it would appear that indeed the responses and the production were acknowledged and received by the Trustee. Furthermore, this development also elaborates on the schemes that DJ Envy allegedly participated in. For example, Cesar Pina’s several fraud charges include those related to mortgage, wire, and bank conspiracy. Also, prosecutors accused him of shifting property prices to inflate loans from financial institutions, and using these for personal gain and other endeavors. VIBE reported that Pina is considering a plea deal, and he previously claimed Envy played no part in these lawsuits or their accusations. However, it’s unclear what consequences the Breakfast Club host or his ventures could face if this plea deal goes through. After all, this already blemished his reputation.

Meanwhile, the radio commentator voiced concerns with other issues this week alongside his on-air teammate, Charlamagne Tha God. They wondered what the hosting situation of The Breakfast Club will look like after various departures and substitutions. As is the case with this alleged fraud scheme, only time will tell what their future holds. On that note, come back to HNHH for more news and the latest updates on DJ Envy and Cesar Pina.

Cesar Pina Accused Of Dodging People Trying To Serve Him New Lawsuit

Cesar Pina, alleged real estate fraudster and former business partner of DJ Envy, is facing new accusations. Pina is accused of dodging people trying to serve him a new lawsuit. Per a report from HipHopDX, a motion has been filed to approve “substitute servers” in attempting to present Pina with new lawsuit documents. Pina is specifically accused of “[appearing] to be willfully dodging and evading our efforts to serve them with process in this action. DJ Envy Could Be Arrested If He Doesn’t Produce Cesar Pina Documents

Meanwhile, DJ Envy could be arrested if he does not disclose documents related to Pina’s bankruptcy. Per Meghann Cuniff, Envy has until January 8 to produce any and all documents requested by the court-appointed trustee of Pina’s Whairhouse LLC. Failure to comply could result in Envy’s arrest and a subsequent appearance in a New Jersey bankruptcy court. Additionally, the news comes after Envy recently switched lawyers. The radio host dropped high-profile Blank Rome LLP in favor of the New Jersey-based firm, Williams, Graffeo & Stern, LLC.

Furthermore, Envy and Pina, along with Pina’s wife, are accused of running a multi-million real estate scam. The alleged scheme reportedly defrauded investors out of an amount in excess of $100 million. Envy has denied all the charges against him and has fiercely defended his name. Additionally, this includes going as far as to sue former NFL player Tony Robinson for defamation. However, the situation against Envy is an ongoing one and will likely stretch well into 2024.

Don Omar Files A Second Lawsuit Against Cesar Pina

One of the most fascinating stories in all of rap music this year has been Cesar Pina. The public speaker and real-estate flipper has been accused by dozens of people of running various scams related to his real estate venture. One of the most notable parts of the allegations is The Breakfast Club co-host DJ Envy’s involvement with Pina. Envy has spoken at numerous events alongside Pina and it’s caused many in the rap world to debate his knowledge and involvement with the accused schemes.

Another person caught up in the scams is Don Omar. According to AllHipHop, Omar is suing Pina for using his likeness without permission. “Defendant misappropriated plaintiff’s name, likeness, identity or persona for use on defendant’s website in order to promote defendant’s house flipping scheme. Defendant is using plaintiff’s name, likeness, identity or persona for commercial purposes without his consent. The use … gives the false impression that plaintiff has endorsed defendant’s business, which he has not, and that plaintiff is a partner in his business, which he is not,” part of the statement made by Omar’s lawyers reads. The suit follows a cease and desist order sent by Omar earlier this month.

He also claims that Pena failed to deliver any relevant document proving he was doing any kind of real estate work in the entire timespan in question.

Combined the two lawsuits Omar filed request more than $7 million in total. That’s only the beginning of the issues for Pina, who was arrested in October. DJ Envy And Cesar Pena Sued For $2 Million Over Alleged Real Estate Scam

DJ Envy and Caesar Pena are facing down even more trouble from their real estate dealings. Across the past few months, stories have emerged from dozens of alleged victims claiming that Pena’s real estate ventures are a scam designed to take money from those who sign up. Envy and Pena have been associated for years often appearing at public speaking events together. As a result, the hip-hop world at large reacted to Envy’s association with something accused of being a scam.

Now, both Envy and Pena are cited in a new civil court lawsuit in New Jersey. According to AllHipHop, three different plaintiffs including a real estate venture and development group filed the suit earlier this month. In it, they claim that the series of “Flipping New Jersey” real estate seminars served as “funnels to draw in victims” for the alleged scam. They’re claiming break of contract, negligent misrepresentation, and a variety of different kinds of fraud which constitute a civil RICO violation. They’re asking for $2 million minimum and to have a jury trial in the case. Check out the full story below.

DJ Envy Names In New Real Estate Lawsuit

“During these private consultations and meet and greets, members of the Pina network attempted to ‘size up’ the financial resources of each attendee and solicited individuals with sufficiently high net worth to “partner” with Pina, DJ Envy, and other members of the network in real estate ‘joint ventures,’” legal documents from the filing allege.

Subsequently, the suit claims, that potential investors would be offered the chance to meet with Pena 1-on-1. The meetings would allegedly cost between $1500 and $2500. If they were sufficiently interested in potentially investing then things would move forward from there. The suit also claims that the inevitable goal of their real estate venture was to take money from investors. Cesar Pina “Almost Got Himself” In A Lot Of Trouble, Joe Budden Explains Scuffle

Joe Budden recently faced some smoke in real life when Cesar Pina’s brother pulled up on him. For those unaware, Pina is DJ Envy’s business associate, and they both faced a lot of accusations of fraud and shady business deals recently. In fact, it even resulted in The Breakfast Club host’s former (but allegedly current) partner getting arrested. Of course, the Slaughterhouse MC commented on this situation and wasn’t too forgiving to either man. Regardless, he kept his composure when Pina’s brother confronted him, and on his podcast, he went into more detail about what happened. “Wednesday, this n***a rolled over in the spot [a bar],” the rapper began. “Totally empty, completely empty. Tuesday and Wednesday be slow. So it was completely empty in there, me and Big Mo, shout out to Mo. Me and Big Mo roll up in there and sit at the bar.

“Actually, the bar’s crowded,” Joe Budden continued. “So now I sit all the way by the bathroom. For the viewing audience at home, that’s the corner, that’s the cut away from things. You can’t be seen and all of this, yada yada yada. So me and Mo sit there, we chillin’. [I get a drink from someone unknown], the waitress says, ‘Flipping New Jersey.’ Now, I say, I only know one Flipping New Jersey. ‘Oh, s**t, maybe Cease is up in here.’ So I get up, I go outside to this little smoke section, where I could see a little.I don’t see nobody, right? So then she gives a description. ‘Nah, it’s n***a with a skully and glasses. He’s not white, but he’s not black, he’s something.’

Joe Budden Explains Confrontation With Cesar Pina’s Brother: Watch

“It’s not Cesar ‘Flipping New Jersey,’” Joe Budden continued. “So to me now, this is just a weirdo fan being funny, cool. Or maybe somebody who really likes Mo. [Cesar’s brother] sent me the drink, and he keeps getting up and going over, and he’s got some people with him. ‘Just be careful.‘ And I said, ‘Thank you, man. I appreciate that.’ Then his friend gets up, he’s walking, he positions himself at the corner of the bar. What I’m telling you is it was a lot of wocky, goofy s**t going on in there. But now the Lakers were getting smacked, I’m glued to this s**t. As soon as they go into overtime, motherf***ers in the spot hit all the lights, click-click, cut the TVs off, bong! ‘Everybody out!’ You motherf***er, you gotta be kidding me. But that’s cool. Everybody out, it ain’t but five people in there.

“See, that’s the other thing; these clips say somebody pulled up on me,” he concluded. “No, these goofy n***as was just in there. Ain’t nobody pulled up, they was there. All the news is ‘Yo, man, you smoking.’ And ‘Who’s that girl?’ F**k my safety. But anyway, I light the cig, these n***as come out and they just standing there looking like they’re waiting for the Uber. Non-threatening-looking n***as. I still don’t know who this dude is. He pulls his phone out, and that’s what you hear. ‘Budden! Budden!’ I’m like, ‘Please don’t tape me.’ I walk inside, when I walk out, and I have a few words with him. He almost got himself in a real pickle.” For more news and the latest updates on Joe Budden, stay logged into HNHH.
