On Cam and Mase’s most recent episode of their It Is What It Is podcast, told their audience that he and Brooklyn Nets star Ben Simmons almost took it to the physical.

At around the 50 minute mark of the show, the Dipset head honcho turned sportscaster recalled sitting courtside at the Lakers vs. Nets game when he noticed Ben Simmons on the bench and joked that he forgot he played basketball.

Cam then spoke about going to the VIP area and crossing paths with Simmons after the game and mentally preparing himself for what might have to happen if the two took the beef to fisticuffs. Cam criticized Simmons for playing mind games and suggested that Simmons communicate honestly instead of engaging in such behavior, hinging on the fact that he doesn’t appreciate the games

Cam’ron Drops New Album ‘The Lost Files Volume 1’

Screen Shot 2023 09 08 at 7.58.18 AM

Cam’ron and Ma$e launched their popular sports talk show, It Is What It Is in February 2023. Its popularity landed the show an eight-figure deal with Underdog Fantasy for season two. Season two began on September 4th with two episodes featuring former NFL players Antonio Brown and OJ Simpson. Cam’ron’s newest album The Lost Files Volume 1 shows his evolution as an entrepreneur instead of being primarily recognized for his music.

The lead single to the album, “It’s Only Money” with DJ Kay Slay had a cinematic video featuring Cam and Ma$e in a comedy-esque opening scene. Fans of It Is What It Is recognize the instrumental being the theme of the show’s first season. “It’s Only Money” focuses on Cam’s history as a hustler with his signature brash delivery. He raps a line where people ask him how much money he got and he hints that he hasn’t spent any money from his film Killa Season.

In the opening track “Run It Up,” Cam shouts out the platforms that offered deals to them but said three million wasn’t enough. He emphasized how It Is What It Is made Stat Baby a star and how rapping is something he doesn’t need to do because he is involved in several different business endeavors these days.

The eight-track album only contains one feature and that’s from Styles P on “Top Of The Pyramid.” Styles raps give the Dipset crew their flowers as he rhymes about how hustlers from New York City are the best of the best and never take no for an answer. The Lost Files Volume 1 revolves around Cam’s past hustler ways and how his ways not only remained the same, but matured into cultivating greater ventures.

Today In Hip Hop History: Cam’Ron’s ‘Confessions Of Fire’ LP Turns 25 Years Old!

Screen Shot 2023 07 21 at 12.12.59 PM

Wearing goggles, gloves, and overalls, Cam’ron stood with a sledgehammer in hand, at a foundry as he was ready to make his mark on Hip Hop. On this day 25 years ago he released his debut album Confessions of Fire.

Many had come to know him as a member of Harlem’s Children of the Corn, a group that also included Big L, Ma$e, and Cam’s cousin, Bloodshed. Following the untimely death of Bloodshed, the group disbanded and Cam’ron went solo.

Highlighted by leadoff singles “357,” “Horse & Carriage” featuring Ma$e and “Feels Good” which featured Usher, the album also saw appearances from N.O.R.E., Jermaine Dupri, and Charlie Baltimore to name a few.On this album, Cam’s mix of hardcore street appeal and pop-infused ballads would prove to be effective as the album peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart and No.2 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop chart. Propelled by the Trackmasters-produced “Horse & Carriage” which reached No. 41 on the Billboard Hot 100, the album would sell over 500,000 copies and achieve gold certification.

These days we have come to love him as the head of Dipset and one of the biggest style influences in the industry. However, Confessions of  Fire laid the foundation for the star Cam became.

Cam’Ron Adds Three New Shows Under His Come and Talk 2 Me Network

Screen Shot 2023 07 06 at 10.55.05 AM

Former Roc-A-Fella artist and current talk show host Cam’ron Giles announces three new shows under his “Come And Talk 2 Me” network. “Es Lo Que Es,” “Come And Talk 2 Me,” and “Ma$e’s Fix My Life” will premiere this fall.

In February 2023, Giles launched the sports talk show “It Is What It Is” alongside fellow co-hosts Mason Ma$e Betha and Treasure “Stat Baby” Wilson. Months after the show’s rapid rise in popularity, “It Is What It Is” is expanding their coverage with an all-hispanic show in “Es Lo Que Es.”

“Es Lo Que Es” (@esloquees_talkshow) focuses on baseball coverage by a Hispanic/Latino cast with actor Cuban Hunter (@thecubanhunter), hardworking dad Fidel Gocio (@fgocio), and known blogger Loopy (@everybodylovesloopy). The sports show currently has a few episodes out now on YouTube and became the first show to branch from “It Is What It Is” on the “Come And Talk 2 Me” network.

When asked about the show’s vision, producer BBinc stated, “I want it to be presented as if we’re giving barbershop talk or block talk you would see in NYC about baseball. Not only do we want to talk about what’s going on currently, but we would also like to discuss the great moments in the history of the sport. It’ll feel very natural as if you’re drinking a Corona and watching the game with your friends.”

“Come And Talk 2 Me,” hosted by Cam’ron, where Cam’ron helps people with their personal issues. Whether it’s relationship problems, family issues, or job troubles, Cam’ron wants to be an open ear and provide his best advice on any matter. The trailer has Cam’ron Giles helping a married couple overcome adversities such as the wife being handicapped and the husband expressing how tired he is taking care of her.

Betha’s new show, Ma$e, Fix My Life will focus on people overcoming difficulties in their lives.

Giles explained his interest in developing these different shows with a desire to transition into show production. “I have been trying to work with others to be on networks or shows to no avail. I’m forty-seven. I’m tired of waiting for calls back. I told myself “let me take a chance on myself” and that’s what I did.” said Giles.
