Nicki Minaj says that she “cemented” her decision to get a breast reduction after attending the Met Gala in 2022. Speaking with Vogue for the outlet’s Life In Looks video series, Minaj explained that her chest was such an inconvenience on her outfit that she knew it was time. In the video, Minaj reflects on various looks from throughout her career.

When she gets to a photo of herself at the Met Gala, she noted: “I just realized just this moment that actually there was something good that came out of this. It’s what really cemented the fact for me that I had to get my breast reduction.” Minaj recalled: “I said, ‘You guys, listen, look, these boobs are gonna be spilling out.’ And by the time we were ready to go, I looked in the mirror, I said, ‘Guys, my boobs are still spilling out.’” She joked that she “knew before we even left the room that the boobs were about to have a night of their own.”

Raven-Symone Reveals She Had A Seizure During Breast Reduction

During a recent episode of Raven-Symone’s podcast, The Best Podcast Ever, she revealed that she went under the knife before the age of 18. According to the former child star, she had been receiving negative comments about her weight during her time on That’s So Raven. This led her her to explore surgical fixes. She decided to get liposuction, as well as a surgical breast reduction. She says that her father was in support of, and even recommended, that she have her breasts reduced.

“There was paperwork involved,” she explained. “My dad suggested strongly that I should get my breasts reduced. He was like, ‘So you don’t feel bad, is there anything that you want?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, if I get lipo, will people stop calling me fat?’” Raven continued, “So I got a twofer. It was just a mess, just being that young and the pain of it all.”

Raven-Symone Got Plastic Surgery To Combat Weight Criticism

On top of getting the procedures done at a young age, Raven also suffered a traumatic experience during one surgery. She had a seizure, which she says she still fears to this day. “I remember waking up and seeing everything … and then I just started to have this dry mouth and couldn’t breathe and went back under,” she revealed. Though the experience was frightening, she went on to get an additional breast reduction. She was still under 18 for the second, which she got when she gained weight after her first one.

Raven-Symone has been open in the past about how growing up on television impacted her self-perception. Clearly, being under a microscope at a young age introduces new pressures to a young person. Body-shaming was also particularly rampant in the early 2000s, when That’s So Raven was airing. Now that she’s grown up and started to open up about her experience, she’s shedding light on a lot of issues that continue to plague young people, and even adults, in the industry.

Nicki Minaj Seemingly Confirms Breast Reduction: “New B**bs Who Dis?”

Nicki Minaj is a talented lyricist, no doubt, but a major part of the 40-year-old’s image has always been her body. After hanging out with Lil Wayne and other rappers in the early days of her career, she felt pressure to get butt injections in order to keep up with the women they were bringing around and praising. Minaj is clearly very confident in herself and has been candid about her history of cosmetic procedures. Rather than continuing to amp up her voluptuous figure, this weekend she seemingly revealed that she underwent a breast reduction.

As @theshaderoom reports, the “Moment 4 Life” artist expressed a desire to make her chest smaller after recovering from the birth of Papa Bear nearly three years ago. “I should’ve took them off then,” Minaj reflected during an Instagram Live session in 2022, revealing advice she got to get the surgery a while back from another woman in the industry. “Is you ready for that?” her friend asked. “Yes! A-cup season,” the Trinidadian joked, obviously desperate to get some weight off of her chest.

The entire process has been documented for Instagram, giving the world more insight into celebrity cosmetic procedures.

She obviously feels more confident than ever in her natural skin. However, not everyone is pleased with the former OnlyFans creator’s new look. Specifically, her mother Tokyo Toni didn’t hold back when sharing her thoughts on social media. During an Instagram Live session, the controversial figure poked fun at fans who have been praising Chyna’s decision to alter her appearance. “Blac Chyna, this is so sweet [that] you’re taking your butt shots out yo face!” she quipped earlier this month.

Blac Chyna Gives Update On Breast & Butt Reduction, Warns Fans Against Silicone Butt Shots

To begin her week yesterday (March 13), Blac Chyna got particularly vulnerable with her Instagram followers in a video upload. The mother of two explained that, as a result of the healing journey she’s on, she feels called to embrace a more natural lifestyle. To begin, she’s reducing both her breast implants and butt injections, and using her platform to educate others on the potential risks that come along with plastic surgery.

“A BBL is when they use your own fat,” the former OnlyFans star explained in Monday’s upload. “Ass shots is silicone. I just want all the ladies out there to know, do not get silicone shots. You can get sick, you can die, have complications, and all this other crazy stuff.” On Tuesday (March 14), Chyna returned with a two-part update on how her procedures went, as well as information straight from her trusted surgeon of ten years.

Blac Chyna is Making Changes

“I am a little bit concerned,” she admitted on her way to the doctor’s office earlier today. “Obviously I’m really concerned, honestly, because I really wanna know what he has to say about the silicone that was in my butt. I’m so curious to see now, how much he took out and what [were] the complications,” Chyna continued to vent. She then shared stories of others who have had negative reactions to plastic surgery, including having to have their gluteus maximus removed because of unforeseen issues.

While in the waiting room, the 34-year-old asked an employee at the clinic to explain the dangers of silicone injections, which he happily did. “When you inject silicone into your body, it starts to create scar tissue to protect [you]. The liquid becomes balls, like boba balls, so when you start sitting down, sometimes you get pain,” he told the camera. “As more scar tissue builds, you create what’s called a granuloma, and that’s bad for you because it can cause cancer.” Aside from that insightful explanation, Blac Chyna also recorded a lengthy conversation with her doctor who was forthright about the dangers of silicone injections. For those not born into fame and riches, like the infamous “nepo babies” of our time, coming into money after living a relatively normal life can result in some drastic decisions. Many opt to immediately alter their appearance, using their newfound income to transform any insecurities that may have held them back before. Some try out facial procedures like Botox and lip fillers, while others go the BBL route, moving unwanted fat from one area of their body and relocating it to other, more desirable regions. Blac Chyna is one such star who’s undergone cosmetic work in the past, though she’s now opening up about her recent decision to reduce both her breasts and butt.

The mother of two has always been open and honest about her history of going under the knife. In 2019, she spoke with Wendy Williams on her talk show about the subject, revealing, “I’ve had lip before. I’ve had my breasts done four times.” While most of those operations were to see an increase in Chyna’s bust size, one was actually a reduction after realizing she had gone too far. “I was like, ‘This is just too much,” she explained at the time.

So I had some of it taken out,” the reality star told Williams. In the time since then, it seems that Angela White has begun something of a healing journey, leading her to once again reduce the size of her breasts and butt.

On Monday (March 13), her Instagram feed lit up with a vulnerable video that finds her in a doctor’s office ahead of an appointment. “As y’all know, I’ve been changing my life and changing my ways,” Chyna told her followers in the clip. “So, one of the things I think is gonna take me to the next level is, obviously, taking some of these ass shots out,” she added before reminding the world that butt injections and a BBL are two very different things.
