Keke Palmer Dances To Nicki Minaj & Ice Spice’s “Barbie World” In A Curve-Hugging Denim Outfit

Keke Palmer may be 29, and a MOTHER (as she so often loves to remind people), but that doesn’t stop her from participating in TikTok challenges. In fact, her latest video finds the Disney alum dancing along with her infant son while Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj’s “Barbie World” plays. Rapping along with some of the Trinidadian’s latest bars, Palmer picks up her quickly growing little boy and carries him while expertly continuing to perform for the camera.

Not only are the Chicago native’s multitasking and lip-syncing skills on point but she’s also left us impressed with her outfit of choice. Palmer showed off her snatched body in a Canadian tuxedo made of dark wash denim. “My son told me to stay on y’all neck,” she wrote in her caption, crediting Leo with her unwavering confidence. “See you at Broccoli Fest 💋,” Keke added, generating excitement for her next performance.

Keke Palmer Hops on TikTok’s “Barbie World” Trend

Somewhere in between becoming a mother and continuing to carry out all of her other duties as a celebrity, the multi-talent found time to put together a visual project called Big Boss. Palmer has always had a talent for singing, though the industry failed to allow her to blossom outside her acting career throughout her younger years. On her latest work it’s more evident than ever that the Jump In! actress has found her voice – and she definitely isn’t afraid to use it at this stage in her career.

Parenthood comes with its share of ups and downs, but definitely one of Keke Palmer’s favourite parts so far has been her transformed body. The former child star has frequently thanked her little one for the natural BBL – as has his father, who’s been regularly showing Keke off on his profile. Margot Robbie’s Begging Helped Bring Nicki Minaj And Ice Spice’s ‘Barbie’ Movie Song To Life

Last week saw the release of Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’sBarbie World,” a new take on Aqua’s classic “Barbie Girl” recorded for the Barbie movie. It turns out that fans have star Margot Robbie to thank in part for the song’s existence.

In a new feature about the music of the Barbie movie, Rolling Stone notes how outraged fans were when Aqua said last year that their song wouldn’t be in the movie. The publication continued, “Even though it wasn’t in the script, Gerwig’s plan all along was to find a place for it, especially since Robbie and others were begging for it.”

Margot Robbie said, “I was like, ‘Greta, how are we going to incorporate this song? We can’t do a Barbie movie and not have a nod to Aqua’s ‘Barbie Girl.’ It has to be in there.’ And [Greta] was like, ‘Don’t worry, we’re going to find a cool way to incorporate it.’ And then, when she was like, ‘Guess who’s going to do the remix of Aqua’s “Barbie Girl”? Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice.’ I was like, ‘Together? Are you joking?!’ I just knew immediately that all my girlfriends were going to lose their minds.”

Mark Ronson also made note how how natural a fit Minaj was for the song, saying, “I feel like people have been asking Nicki to rhyme over some version of ‘Barbie Girl’ for 15 years now.”

Ice Spice Reminds Us “Barbie Ain’t Nun To Play About” In BTS Music Video Photo Dumps

Many artists would require a long break after achieving the feats that Isis Gaston – better known as Ice Spice – has crossed off her bucket list over the past few months. Instead, the 23-year-old continues to outdo herself, making major moves this New Music Friday (June 23) by unleashing her second collaboration with Nicki Minaj for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie. The upcoming film (starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling) has one of the most impressive soundtracks of the year, with Dua Lipa, Lizzo, and PinkPanthress among those featured.

We won’t actually see the highly anticipated project hit theatres until July, but ahead of that, Spice and Minaj have shared their “Barbie World” joint effort. It boldly reimagines Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” from 1997 with flirtatious bars that the Queen and Princess of Rap are both known for. Hours after the song dropped at midnight, the New York native’s Instagram feed lit up with behind-the-scenes photos from her video shoot with Minaj. “Barbie ain’t nun to play bout 🌎🎀,” Spice wrote in her caption.

The photos included show the redhead wearing an ultra-tiny Chanel-style skirt suit set over a bra with tons of miniature shoes and purses attached to it. She poses inside a beautiful pink vintage car throughout most of the post, though near the end Spice did sneak in a few cheeky thirst traps.

All the images couldn’t make it into one carousel, so Spice returned shortly after to reveal more BTS from “Barbie World.” In the comments, both Flo Milli and Lil Tjay have dropped by to show love to their friend, the latter specifically noting how bodacious her booty is.

Ice Spice And Nicki Minaj Take A ’90s Classic To ‘Barbie World’ With Their Fiery New Collaboration

We are less than a month out from the movie event of the summer. In tandem with its in-theater premiere, Barbie will be accompanied by a star-studded soundtrack called Barbie: The Album. Tonight (June 23rd), Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice have shared the latest taste of the soundtrack with their sweet and spicy collaboration, “Barbie World.”

On “Barbie World,” Ice’s producer and frequent collaborator RiotUSA takes a sample of Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” and gives it a Brooklyn drill update for the times. Minaj and Ice go back-to-back delivering bars, matching each other’s fiery energy.

“I’m bad like the Barbie / I’m a doll but I still wanna party / Pink ‘Vette like I’m ready to bend / I’m a ten, so I pull in a Ken / Jazzie, Stacie, Nicki / All of the Barbies is pretty / All of the Barbies is bad / It girls, and we ain’t playin’ tag,” the two rap line-by-line in the song’s chorus.

Barbie: The Album promises to be a hit so far, especially as songs by Karol G, PinkPantheress, and Dua Lipa have garnered many streams.

You can listen to “Barbie World” above.

Barbie: The Album is out 7/21 via Atlantic. Find more information here.

Nicki Minaj And Ice Spice Drop New Collab, “Barbie World”

Nicki Minaj recently took to Instagram to announce the release of her song “Barbie World.” The release is to help promote the new Barbie film and features none other than Ice Spice. Alongside a promotional image of herself and Ice, Nicki wrote a caption to announce the release. “It’s BARBIE B!CH If you still in DOUBT,” she wrote. “#BarbieWorld JUNE 23rd… PRE-SAVE NOW!!!!” This announcement comes just days after Minaj revealed that her next album will drop on October 10. Furthermore, Minaj shared a snippet from the end of the Barbie trailer featuring the original Aqua song. This hinted that the Aqua sample is part of her own release, as well. With the snippets that followed, that was confirmed.

This collaboration between Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice marks their second joint project in recent months. They previously teamed up for the remix of Ice’s “Princess Diana.” The song was a smash, particularly for Ice Spice. The track reached #4 on the Billboard 100 and topped the Billboard Rap charts. As of now, the remix has spent seven weeks on the charts and currently holds the #48 position. It has also generated immense interest in Ice Spice from the general public. With their new single, the pair look to repeat that same success.

Nicki And Ice Spice Are Far From Plastic On New Single

Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice really are a match made in heaven. In the song “Barbie World,” Ice’s producer RiotUSA creatively samples Aqua’s “Barbie Girl.” However, he updates it and infuses it with a modern Brooklyn drill sound. This update gives the track a fresh and contemporary feel. Both Minaj and Ice showcase their impressive rap skills. They both deliver intense verses that complement each other’s passionate energy. It’s definitely a repeat of the energy they had on “Princess Diana.”

“I’m bad like the Barbie / I’m a doll but I still wanna party,” the pair rap on the chorus. “Pink ‘Vette like I’m ready to bend / I’m a ten, so I pull in a Ken.” With this being the second collaboration between Nicki and Ice, it’s clear the former has taken the latter under her wing. That means we can likely expect very big things from Ice Spice in the near future. What do you think of the duo’s second collab? Let us know in the comments below!

Quotable Lyrics:

And I’m bad like the Barbie
I’m a doll but I still wanna party
Pink ‘Vette like I’m ready to bend
I’m a ten, so I pull in a Ken

Jason Martin (FKA Problem) Alleges Nicki Minaj Stole The Idea For Her And Ice Spice’s ‘Barbie’ Movie Song From Him And Saweetie

For the upcoming Barbie movie soundtrack, Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice teamed up for “Barbie World,” a new spin on Aqua’s classic “Barbie Girl.” However, Jason Martin (the rapper/songwriter/producer formerly known as Problem who now releases music as JasonMartin) claims that Minaj stole the idea for the track from him.

Last December, Saweetie previewed the Aqua-sampling “Icy Girl, Icy World” during an Instagram Live session. Sharing a clip of that on Twitter on June 18, Martin wrote, “As a writer on this, I can confirm this song and idea was sent to her last year to submit for the Barbie movie. It’s sad to see that the original artist has been pushed off a song that was her idea and was meant for both of them. I have no side in this, but I will be compensated.” He continued in another tweet, “If or when I need to detail the whole way it went down in regards to this Barbie sh*t, you will understand why all writers need to be compensated with day rates and contracts protecting their intellectual properties the day of. Hopefully this gets sorted out quietly. But please no I don’t scare easy.”

He spoke about it on Instagram Live, too, claiming he and Saweetie created the song and sent it to Minaj for Barbie movie consideration. She supposedly said she was going to use the song before making her own version without the two involved.

Nicki Minaj And Ice Spice’s ‘Barbie World’ Sample Usage Isn’t ‘Cheesy’ Or ‘Gimmicky,’ According To Minaj

Using samples by today’s hip-hop stars is a hotly contested topic on social media. Some feel it’s being overdone. It seems Nicki Minaj slightly agrees. During the rapper’s latest Queen Radio show, she discussed the topic and more.

During her appearance, Minaj provided listeners with more details about her upcoming appearance on the Barbie: The Movie soundtrack. She guaranteed fans will be impressed by producer Riot’s reimagined twist on Aqua’s “Barbie Girl.” The sample will be featured on Ice Spice’s “Barbie World,” in which Minaj is featured.

Buzzing Pop shared the quote from the musician on Twitter. “This is the first time that someone had put this sample in a way that didn’t make me uncomfortable or gimmicky. I figured out that it needed to be a beat that would still give Barbie & Nicki,” wrote Minaj.

Minaj has seen a great deal of success with samples throughout her career. Her song “Super Freaky Girl,” which features a sample of the late Rick James’ 1981 song “Super Freak,” earned her her first solo No. 1 on the music charts. Another one of Nicki Minaj’s biggest hits, “Anaconda,” released in 2014, sampled the 1992 song “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-a-Lot.
