Tha God Fahim Reunites With Nicholas Craven For Second Installment Of The “Dump Gawd: Hyperbolic Time Chamber Rap” Series

Tha God Fahim, one of Georgia’s most effortless lyricists, and Montreal’s underground producing titan, Nicholas Craven, are back it. These two have been underappreciated since they got into the game, and they are showing everyone why they need more praise. These cross-country buddies have been extremely prolific for years, and 2024 has been no different. They are continuing to do most of their damage on Bandcamp and YouTube, dropping off four projects in a month-long span. Tha God Fahim and Nicholas Craven kicked things off on October 24 by revitalizing their Tha Myth Who Never Quit series with the second and third entries.

That trilogy is five years old now and it’s one that has quickly become a fan-favorite run of tapes. Another one you can now throw in there is one that saw its inception take place about a week and a half ago. That would be Dump Gawd: Hyperbolic Time Chamber Rap. Tha God Fahim and Craven extended the Time Chamber Rap collection to 2 with eight tracks, which some of the best soul chops/loops you’ll hear all year. Like most of their bodies of work, its on those two platforms we mentioned earlier. If you want to support the artists in full, you can click the first “[Via]” link to purchase the digital album. Or if you check out the second shortcut, that will take you to the YouTube page.

Pink Siifu Releases “GOT FOOD AT THE CRIB’!” To Bandcamp, But It’s Not What You Would Expect

Underground and experimental rapper Pink Siifu has always been trying out unique techniques to deliver music that is truly separate from the rest of the genre. The Alabama born and Cincinnati-raised MC has been doing well for himself since 2017 operating in this manner. The last project we heard from him dropped back on Halloween in 2023 called IT’S TOO QUIET..’!! Now, Pink Siifu is returning with a new album called GOT FOOD AT THE CRIB’! with an exclusive release to Bandcamp.

However, this is not your traditional album. What do we mean by that? Well, Pink Siifu decided to ditch the tracklist and essentially give fans 22 minutes of continuous music. It is basically up to the listener to decipher where a track stops and starts, making for a more engaging listening experience.

Siifu is not just doing this once either. On his Instagram, he revealed that there will be another volume coming in the near future, possibly this year. Part of the reason he might have gone in this direction could be based on this statement he posted on his account recently. “ALL THESE NXGGAS NEED BETTA HELP CRAFTING THEY ALBUMS’!! GOT THA WHOLE WORLD TO HELP THEM MAKE SOME S*** WE DOIN W THA SAME 4-7 NXGGAS’!! WE THA NXGGAS YALL FAVS WANNA BE’!!”

What are your thoughts on Pink Siifu dropping GOT FOOD AT THE CRIB’! on Bandcamp and in this format? What portion of the album did you enjoy the most and why? Is Pink of the best experimental rappers we have in the genre right now, why or why not? Does this get you excited for the next installment coming soon? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Pink Siifu. Logic Shares Free Mixtape “Inglorious Basterd”

Logic has now delivered on his promise from last month, releasing his free mixtape, Inglorious Basterd. The man has been a tear in 2023, putting out his own material, as well as falling into a producer role. Back on February 24, Logic unleashed College Park, a 17-song project with a stacked lyrical features list. From wordsmiths such as Bun B, Joey Bada$$, and RZA, the project was a success with fans and some critics.

We also got word back in July that he would be the one exclusively producing Asher Roth’s project. Now, Logic is now here to share his Bandcamp exclusive drop, Inglorious Basterd. On August 16, the Maryland rapper hopped on Instagram to announce that he would have new music out soon. In the caption, he said, “Here is the album artwork for my free mixtape Inglorious Basterd coming soon!! I just dropped the intro song called “Still Pushin” over Lupe Fiasco’s classic “Kick Push” for free for everyone on Discord!! Join and enjoy!! #RattPack.”

For a project full of demos and loosies, this output from Logic is still very enjoyable. While there are no themes or storylines woven throughout, it is cool that we have a large collection of random cuts to see his creative process. He does not just sample the one Lupe song, though. Logic also samples plenty of other classics such as “Started From the Bottom” by Drake, “Backseat Freestyle” by Kendrick Lamar,” “Wolves” by Kanye West, “Hustlin’” by Rick Ross, and plenty more. Definitely give Logic’s new effort listen above.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new free mixtape, Inglorious Basterd, from Logic? Do you wish more artists released more free material? Is this Logic’s best release of 2023?
