Cam’ron Trolled Anthony Edwards In A Freestyle After Being Shaded In His Adidas Commercial

Cam’ron and Mase’s It Is What It Is podcast has taken its fair share of shots at various athletes over the years, particularly NBA players like Jordan Poole and now, Anthony Edwards. Cam’ron targeted the latter with a few lines in a freestyle over the beat from Black Rob’s hit single “Whoa!” to open the latest episode.

Decked out in a Dallas Mavericks jersey (heh), Cam goes in on the 22-year-old NBA star, rapping, “Go ‘head and grandstand, no style can cramp Cam’s / P**** on a handstand, but f*ck wrong with Ant Man? / Gave him his props, homie got love from me / New commercial, y’all ain’t got love for me? / He shot a jump shot and said, ‘f*ck buddy’ / The receipt reader lookin’ like your f*ck buddy.”

So, what’s got Cam’s knickers in a twist? It seems Ant’s Adidas ad rubbed him the wrong way with its use of one of Cam’s tweets to make a point about Ant proving his haters wrong. The ad includes a printer for Edwards’ “receipts,” which spits out tweets from various celebrities questioning whether the young Minnesota Timberwolves guard is ready to be “the face of the league.”

The tweets are read to Ant by a friend as he takes practice shots, and when he hears that Cam’ron says he’s “an All-Star, but not a superstar yet,” Ant indeed gives a dismissive response and chucks another jumper. The ad’s being celebrated for its simplicity and directness, but clearly, not everybody appreciates Ant’s unfiltered demeanor.

Anyone who’s spent any time around hoopers knows that many of them — especially the best — are crazy petty and take anything less than unadulterated adulation as the saltiest criticism, so his response isn’t exactly surprising. But for the past 25 years, Cam’ron has been an equally petty performer in his own industry, so his response shouldn’t surprise anyone either.

But before anyone goes taking this super serious and demanding guns drawn at dawn, try to remember: it’s all in good fun. Talking sh*t is part of these guys’ livelihoods, so they both know there’s no ill intent. And if/when they see each other at the next All-Star Game, it’ll probably be all love.

You can watch Cam’s freestyle (and his explanation for the clap back) at the top of the episode above.

Cam’ron Fires Back At Anthony Edwards With A Savage Freestyle

Anthony Edwards and Adidas took a shot at the wrong podcaster. In reaction to Adidas including the rapper in a commercial directed at Edwards’ detractors, Cam’ron unleashed a scathing freestyle, criticizing the Minnesota Timberwolves guard for using the term “f–k buddy.” While the barbs directed at Edwards were not too harmful, Cam’ron’s rage was directed mostly against Adidas. Before delivering the finest line of the freestyle, Cam’ron blamed Adidas for the injuries to John Wall, Tracy McGrady, and Derrick Rose. He rapped. “You know Kevin Ware? Google what was on his toes.”

The guard for Louisville, Ware, had a horrific leg injury during the 2013 NCAA tournament. Adidas and Louisville have a sponsorship deal. Cam’ron also warned that Adidas might fire Edwards if he said something the brand “didn’t like.” He alluded to Kanye West, whose relationship with Adidas was terminated. Naturally, that’s not quite true. Adidas supported West through many scandals until deciding to fire him following a string of racist outbursts. Anthony Edwards may have bit off more than he can chew, dissing Cam’ron who was quick with a response.

Cam’Ron’s New Freestyle Addresses Anthony Edwards

Edwards has not yet replied, so it would be best to avoid this one. A basketball player can only become so involved in a rap feud, and Cam’ron has only put out one album in the previous fifteen years. He still has a lot of bars in storage, so he probably won’t think twice about continuing this feud—especially if it ends up increasing the number of people who listen to his podcast. Adidas and any other marketing outlet should take note of this: even in jest, don’t utilize rappers as the brunt of your joke. You never know when anything may go wrong.

Overall, Anthony Edwards and Cam’ron will probably be cool after all of this. Cam had no problem showing Ant love on the podcast, and the commercial obviously hit a sore spot since he likes Edwards as a player. It would be shocking if Anthony Edwards released his own freestyle in the coming days. If that unlikely event happens, we will be sure to cover it.

Anthony Edwards Claps Back At Cam’ron In New Adidas Commercial, Cam Responds

Anthony Edwards has released his latest Adidas advertisement in response to the critics following the Timberwolves’ elimination in the Western Conference Finals. The star shooting guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves is one of the NBA’s most promising emerging talents. The most admirable aspect of Edwards’ ascent to stardom is that he maintains his own identity throughout his ascension. His collaboration with Adidas has elevated him even higher in the public eye. We must not overlook the fact that the shoes are on fire.

After he lost in the Western Conference finals, AE and Adidas replied, releasing a new advertisement aimed at his critics, according to Complex. In the advertisement, Anthony Edwards is shown working as a machine prints receipts that include criticism from his detractors. When Cam’ron claims that Edwards “isn’t a superstar yet,” Edwards responds by calling, saying, “F*ck Buddy.” AE declares at the conclusion of the ad that this is “just the beginning,” and he won’t be leaving. All in all, It’s a slick clapback for Edwards. Additionally, now Cam’ron has also responded.

Anthony Edwards Fires Shot At Cam’Ron, The Rapper Has Now Responded

Cam’Ron responded on his Instagram, saying, “🔥🔥🔥 commercial!! Thx @adidas for the love. And I had antman back this whole time but I’ll address this Monday on the show.. love the attitude tho. Only thing I would say is get a better looking lesbian to read the receipts 🤷🏾‍♂️😂😂😂😂” Cam loves the energy and says that he will explain the situation on Mondays It Is What It Is podcast with Mase. Anthony Edwards’s commercial is about keeping receipts, and a slight diss can be read as a massive diss and used for fuel by an athlete like Edwards.

Though the Wolves were disappointed not to go to the NBA Finals, they should be proud of themselves for beating the reigning champion Denver Nuggets. This season has shown that the possibilities are endless for this youthful and driven Timberwolves squad. If everyone stays healthy, we could expect to see the Timberwolves make another epic run the following season. Anthony Edwards is a player worth building around and has proven that he is a superstar. Overall, we like to see him keeping the same energy even in a huge loss.

Anthony Edwards Led The Timberwolves In An Effort To Boycott “Inside The NBA”

The Minnesota Timberwolves were eliminated from the playoffs by the Dallas Mavericks last night. Young star Anthony Edwards has gotten a lot of praise this postseason, but ultimately, he and his team fell short. Throughout the last two series, the Timberwolves big man duo has been under a ton of scrutiny. Some of the criticism has been warranted, citing their play at times. Nevertheless, some of the critics seem to come from personal beef. Draymond Green, who had been featured on Inside the NBA, had a personal vendetta against DPOY Rudy Gobert.

Karl-Anthony Towns was also joked about and harshly criticized by Draymond and the Inside The NBA crew. Now, reportedly, Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves decided to boycott doing interviews with the beloved basketball show. The gesture is a form of solidarity with Gobert and Karl-Anthony Town. According to The Athletic, Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves declined to take part in “Inside The NBA” interviews in order to show support for Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert in the face of criticism from Draymond Green.

Anthony Edwards And The Timberwolves Boycotted “Inside The NBA”

According to club sources who spoke with The Athletic, Edwards was surrounded by a close-knit group of players who determined as a unit that no player would be featured on TNT’s “Inside the NBA” postgame program following their victory in Game 4 in Dallas. The choice was made as a show of support for Gobert and Towns after panelist and Golden State forward Draymond Green mocked and personally attacked them. Draymond had some words for Anthony Edwards himself as well. he disparaged the star guard after his comments after game 1.

Fans have decried the addition of Green because it seemed like all he wants to do is bring up personal beef and push his own agenda. Overall, Minnesota is led by a young, outspoken star who decided to show up for his teammates. Despite their inconsistent play, it seems like the Wolves are a close-knit team. Edwards vowed that they would be back next year. All in all, he will be thinking about the loss to the Mavs all off-season for fuel.

SOURCE SPORTS: Anthony Edwards Powers Wolves to Force Game 7 Against Nuggets

Anthony Edwards Powers Wolves to Force Game 7 Against Nuggets

The first three minutes of Game 6 appeared to follow a familiar script, with Denver jumping to a 9-2 lead, forcing Minnesota to call a timeout to regroup. However, the next 45 minutes unfolded as one of the most extraordinary win-or-go-home performances in NBA Playoff history, with the Timberwolves dismantling the Nuggets 115-70.

Minnesota responded to Denver’s early lead with a 20-0 run over the next five-plus minutes, extending the surge to 29-5 to close the first quarter. The Wolves added a 24-0 run in the fourth quarter, becoming the first team to achieve two separate 20-0 runs in a Playoff game during the play-by-play era (since 1997-98).

The Wolves led by as many as 50 points and secured the eighth-largest postseason win in NBA history (+45) and the second-largest Game 6 win ever, behind only Chicago’s +54 in 2015. Their 45-point victory is the second-largest in a win-or-go-home scenario, surpassed only by the Minneapolis Lakers’ 58-point win over the St. Louis Hawks in 1956.

Anthony Edwards fueled the victory with 27 points, four rebounds, four assists, three steals, and four three-pointers. Minnesota’s defense, reminiscent of their early series performance, smothered Denver and allowed the Wolves to force a decisive Game 7 in the Mile High City.

In Edwards’ 34 minutes on the court, the Wolves outscored the Nuggets by 43 points—the largest plus/minus of the 2024 Playoffs and the seventh-largest in the play-by-play era.

Anthony Edwards Says There Is A Major Difference Between He and Michael Jordan

Anthony Edwards has been compared to Michael Jordan all season. The comparisons have only increased through the playoffs when Edwards has been in the national spotlight. The Timberwolves have run through their competition, sweeping the Suns, and are now up 2-0 over the defending Denver Nuggets. Ant sat down with ESPN’s Malika Andrews and was once again asked about being compared to the greatest player of all time. He once again downplayed the praise. He also gave an explanation of how they are different and how he wants to be viewed by fans.

Edwards was questioned about how many fans and onlookers have compared his style of play to that of maybe the greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan, during an interview with ESPN’s Malika Andrews. Calling to put an end to the comparisons, Edwards stated that although there are some similarities between him and Jordan, he also distinguishes himself in other areas, such as long-range shooting. Overall, he is thankful for the praise but ultimately wants to carve his own path.

Anthony Edwards Says One Thing Sets Him Apart From Micahel Jordan

“I want people to be like, ‘This Anthony Edwards kid, he’s got his own style. He’s maybe got a mix of Michael Jordan in him,’” Edwards said. “But I’ve got a trey ball, I can shoot the three. So, I think that makes me a little different than Michael Jordan.” Playing in today’s era, Edwards is a three-point marksman. Jordan’s career scoring average of 30.1 points per game is all the more remarkable, considering that he was predominantly a mid-range shooter and didn’t do much damage from beyond the arc.

But Jordan today would shoot more threes and probably be pretty good at them, so the comparisons can shift and stick around. Anthony Edwards is just beginning his journey as an NBA star. Putting such lofty expectations on him is kind of unfair, as he is only 22 years old. He wants them to stop, but he isnt running from the comparisons. Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves return to Minnesota tonight for game 3 against the Nuggets. If Ant ends up winning a chip this year those comparisons will be kind of justified.

Anthony Edwards Wants The Michael Jordan Comparisons To Stop

Anthony Edwards, a rising star in the NBA, has made a significant impact. After leading his team to a sweep against his favorite player, Kevin Durant, and the Phoenix Suns, the young 2-guard now faces the defending champs. Edwards and the Timberwolves made a bold statement by winning game 1 against Nikola Jokic. Edwards’ 43 points in the win marked a significant milestone, making him the second 22-year-old to score back-to-back 40-point games since Kobe Bryant. Such rare achievements are why Edwards is receiving high praise.

Anthony Edwards has been drawing comparisons to arguably the greatest layer of all time, Michael Jordan. It’s easy to see why. Edwards is a ridiculous athlete. He is relentless on the court with an unmatched drive to win. He has all the same moves Jordan has. Additionally, he

looks like MJ, which many fans have pointed out. Edwards sets the court ablaze with his play and is compared to the greatest ever to do it. Ant is saving, and everyone should pump the brakes on the MJ comparisons.

Anthony Edwards On The Micheal Jordan Comparisons

Anthony Edwards wants the Michael Jordan comparisons to stop. He said, “I want it to stop. He’s the greatest of all time. I can’t be compared to him.” It’s a humble answer from a player whose game is far from humble. Ant is right, in a sense. People can get carried away with comparisons, and then when players don’t meet their expectations, they turn on them. So, if Edwards comes up short, fans can say, “he is not MJ!” when they are the ones who make that comparison to him.

It is not just fans and reporters who compare Edwards to MJ; players are, too. Patrick Beverley said it two years ago. If Edwards beats the Nuggets and somehow wills his team to a chip this year, then those comparisons might be too conservative. Overall, Edwards is a young, exciting player, and the Wolves Nuggets series is going to be incredible.

Anthony Edwards Excited To Play With Him On Team USA Kevin Durant After Sweeping Him

Anthony Edwards is taking the NBA playoffs by storm. The Timberwolves and Edwards, who has been talking trash all series, just swept the Phoenix Suns. Ant has been calling his shot all series long and was letting Kevin Durant know his time was u every chance he could. Edwards exploded for 40 points last night to put the final nail in the Sun’s coffin. He scored 31 points in the second half, which killed any hope the Suns had. Despite 33 points from KD and 49 from Devin Booker, it wasn’t enough to beat Ant-Man and the Wolves.

KD and Anthony Edwards had been going at it all series. It was two hoopers talking trash while playing at the highest level. Kevin Durant seemed to really enjoy the young star barking. There was a level of respect KD showed Ant, and that carried through to the end of the game, where the two embraced and shared words. In his postgame interview with TNT, Edwards was asked what it meant to beat KD. Ant gave much respect to Durant before saying he can’t wait to trash-talk him this summer when they meet up to play on Team USA.

Anthony Edwards Excited To Hoop With Kevin Durant This Summer

It’s a significant moment for a player who could potentially shape the future of the league. Anthony Edwards has openly declared that his favorite player of all time is Kevin Durant. It must be a surreal experience to compete against your idol and come out on top. Ant is eagerly looking forward to representing Team USA in the summer, where he, KD, and many other stars will compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics. All in all, Anthony Edwards is making a name for himself. His performance in the first round was reminiscent of Jordan, both in skill and attitude.

Anthony Edwards joins a stacked Team USA for the Paris Olympics, which includes LeBron James, Steph Curry, and his favorite player ever, Kevin Durant. The playoffs might oushsh Ant into earning a starting spot this summer. Team USA is always a good time for hoop fans and they have put together a ridiculous team to take the gold. We can’t wait til the training camp for the Olympics so we can see Anthony Edwards gloating about his win to KD.

50 Cent Pits Diddy Against The Timberwolves By Gassing Up Anthony Edwards

Anthony Edwards popped off against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night’s (April 9) NBA basketball game, cinching his first-ever 50-point performance. 50 Cent, a Timberwolves front office partner, was loving it, as the star player gestured a five-0 hand motion to him in the crowd after his lay-up. In fact, they even chopped it up behind the scenes, with Edwards remarking to the G-Unit mogul that he’s “funny as hell” after a hug. Fif was happy to document everything on social media and share in the celebrations, and he couldn’t help but embrace tradition and rope in a little Diddy troll in the process.

“Now puffy not gonna want to watch the game no more,” 50 Cent captioned the clip of him embracing Anthony Edwards, calling to his relentless bashing of the Bad Boy mogul amid his various accusations of sexual assault, sex trafficking, and other crimes. This was a well-established feud before these allegations emerged explosively toward the end of last year. As such, we can’t really say that this is surprising or unprecedented in any way. Yet it doesn’t make 50’s connections to the Diddy scandal any less outrageous or unwarranted, as he’s finding pretty much any excuse to comment on it.

50 Cent Uses Anthony Edwards Meeting To Further Troll Diddy: Watch

What’s more is that this is also pitting the Queens native against other artists or celebrities who have come forward with a defense of Diddy. For example, he recently attacked Jason Derulo over his comments on the matter. “I believe in that. I believe in innocent before proven guilty,” Derulo had told TMZ during an encounter. “Shut the fvck up ! let me find out you on one of them tapes boy,” 50 Cent captioned an Instagram post about these comments, making his stance on even third parties to this situation very clear.

Ant’s Incredible Performance: See Fif React To 50-Piece

Meanwhile, these attacks have also landed against the likes of Meek Mill and Yung Miami, and showed little mercy when it comes to comically intended trolling. With all this in mind, all we can really hope for is that the dead horse gets beat in creative and new ways rather than just trolling for the sake of trolling. Then again, this is Curtis Jackson we’re talking about. For more news and the latest updates on Diddy, 50 Cent, and Anthony Edwards, stay logged into HNHH.
