Diddy Captures Key Win In Alleged Sex Trafficking Case

Diddy earned a minor victory in court, this week, with U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian ordering the prosecution to produce a sworn affidavit vowing they are not the source of leaked information in the case. The order comes after Diddy’s legal team accused prosecutors of allegedly sharing sensitive details with the press, thus infringing upon the Bad Boy mogul’s right to a fair trial. Despite the accusation, they failed to get a gag order on the prosecution back in October.

In that ruling, Subramanian reemphasized existing laws prohibiting lawyers, investigators, and government agents from sharing non-public information with the media. “With this order in hand, both sides can make sure that anyone involved with this case or the related investigation understands what they are not permitted to disclose,” the judge wrote at the time, as caught by AllHipHop. “To be clear, this order isn’t based on a finding that there has been any wrongdoing thus far, as the Court has made no findings at this juncture relating to defendant’s allegations that information related to the case has been leaked. The point of this order is to help ensure that nothing happens from now on that would interfere with a fair trial.”

Specifically, Diddy’s lawyers have accused the state of leaking the infamous video of him attacking his ex-girlfriend Cassie. CNN first published the 2016 footage, earlier this year. Prosecutors have argued they didn’t even have the video when the publication acquired it. “Without any factual basis, the leak motion seeks to suppress highly probative evidence […] by claiming that it was grand jury material leaked by government agents,” prosecutors wrote in a motion from October. “But, as the defendant is fully aware, the video was not in the Government’s possession at the time of CNN’s publication and the Government has never, at any point, obtained the video through grand jury process.”

Diddy is currently residing at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn as he awaits trial. He unsuccessfully attempted to get out on bond on several occasions ahead of his trial on May 5, 2025. He faces charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering and has already denied the allegations.

NLE Choppa Slams Woah Vicky For Accusing Him Of Selling His Soul To The Devil

Recently, Woah Vicky went after NLE Choppa in what appeared to be an unwarranted attack on X. In a post, she accused the “GO” rapper of selling his soul to the devil. “Nle choppa sould his soul to the devil. B that’s why he’s saying he’s gay now. He’s a puppet. But hey. Your soul belongs to God it’s not yours to sell it’s never too Jesus loves you,” she wrote.

NLE Choppa didn’t waste any time before firing back. In his response, he accused her of just being bitter because he wouldn’t hook up with her. While it’s unclear whether or not Woah Vicky actually has any interest in NLE Choppa, he suggested that her outburst was a result of bitterness. “Cause I won’t give yo herbal ranch aioli cigarettes built a** no dick,” he wrote back. Obviously, he didn’t appreciate her random insult or any hate she may be directing at the LGBTQIA+ community.

NLE Choppa Shuts Down Woah Vicky On X

Choppa has been a vocal supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community for some time now and never hesitates to show his support for all of his fans even amid backlash. During a recent conversation with Yung Miami on her Revolt podcast Caresha Please, for example, he opened up about having a large queer following. According to him, he’s grateful and thinks it’s important to love everyone even if they lead a different life than he does.

“Yeah, I’m appreciative of it,” he told the former City Girls performer. “I’m appreciative of it because, at the end of the day, I feel like we are taught to not show love to people because they walk a different life. Who taught that s**t? Who taught that people are supposed to show hate in any instance? God don’t do that. God is love. What the hell is we showing hate for? He would never, He would never. What would God do?”

XXXTentacion’s Killer Points To Drake In Appeal Brief

It’s been over six years since XXXTentacion’s tragic and untimely death. One of the four men convicted for their alleged involvement in the fatal shooting, Dedrick Williams, was handed a life sentence in 2023. He, along with two other men, was found guilty of first-degree murder as well as armed robbery. Now, he’s filing court documents for an appeal. According to Law & Crime Network, his petition points to the late artist’s alleged feud with Drake, arguing that it proves he could allegedly be an alternate suspect.

Williams’ attorney Mauricio Padilla recently spoke with the outlet, describing how he’s trying to create reasonable doubt. “A defendant has every right to defend himself, to show reasonable doubt wherever it may be, and to fully investigate and articulate to a jury an alternate shooter defense or an alternate defense where someone else committed this crime,” he explained. Unfounded conspiracy theories suggesting Drake was allegedly involved in XXXTentacion’s death are nothing new. With that being said, Padilla noted how he’s not necessarily accusing Drake of carrying out the shooting. Instead, he’s trying to prove that this lead wasn’t looked into and that the investigation was sloppy.

Dedrick Williams’ Attorney Discusses Appeal Brief

It appears as though Drake has his own legal issues to worry about these days, however. He recently decided to take legal action against Universal Music Group (UMG). The Toronto rapper accuses the label and Spotify of artificially boosting Kendrick Lamar’s hit diss track “Not Like Us.” He also alleges that UMG could have prevented the release of the song, on which Kendrick accuses him of being a sexual predator. Unsurprisingly, this has since earned big reactions from countless social media users and peers.

Some, like Funkmaster Flex, think Drake is completely in the right. Others, like Joe Budden, believe that taking legal action only makes him look worse. Earlier this week, DJ Akademiks even argued that the timing of Drake’s filing could have worked in Kendrick’s favor, boosting sales of his new album GNX.

Drake’s Team Allegedly Asked Rob Markman To “Show The Boy Some Love” In Exchange For Access

Rob Markman alleges that someone from Drake’s OVO team reached out to him at some point during the Toronto rapper’s feud with Kendrick Lamar requesting that he share some positive thoughts about Drake. Markman shared the story while discussing the bombshell legal filings against Universal Music Group.

“I was approached during the battle by a team connected with the OVO side,” he began. “[They] asked me to show the boy some love. Again, I was being as unbiased as possible. I was calling it like I see it, but they asked me, ‘Yo, we know you’re unbiased.’ Really said it. ‘We know you’re unbiased and we like that you’re unbiased and really try to call it straight, but can you show the guy some love.’ No money was offered, absolutely no money was offered. But they offered some things– some information, some access, and said, ‘Yo, and we’ll make it so that you can play his songs in your videos. We’ll whitelist it.’ Ultimately, I declined for my own personal reasons. I just feel that my allegiance is to y’all.”

Drake filed his pre-action petition in Manhattan court on Monday. In the filing, he alleged that UMG and Spotify worked together to artificially boost the popularity of Kendrick Lamar’s viral diss track, “Not Like Us.” “UMG did not rely on chance, or even ordinary business practices,” lawyers for Drake’s company wrote. “It instead launched a campaign to manipulate and saturate the streaming services and airwaves.”

Drake’s Alleged Motivations Behind “Not Like Us” Lawsuit Revealed

The true motivation behind Drake taking legal action against Universal Music Group and Spotify allegedly revolves around negotiations he’s currently involved in with his label, according to Loren Lorosa. Taking to social media on Monday night, she reported that sources close to the Toronto rapper’s camp have told her they believe UMG is trying to use the success of “Not Like Us” to bury him.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Lorosa wrote: “Drake’s side decided to file this suit not just because of the ‘Not Like Us’ song. It’s bigger than just the song which is why Drake is suing the label and NOT Kendrick directly. From what I’m told .. Drake allegedly feels as if his label UMG.. is using money he’s made them to fund Kendrick Lamar’s song burying him amidst a sensitive label negotiation he’s currently in. Drake feels like the label is allegedly not protecting a major asset.. (him) which is conveniently timed around the time he’s in negotiations for a new deal with the label. From what I’m told.. Drakes feeling like .. If I was a taylor swift a lot of things would not of happened in this whole Drake and Kendrick back and forth.”

Drake’s “Not Like Us” Allegations: Key Piece Of Evidence Already Debunked

A key piece of evidence in Drake’s bombshell petition against Universal Music Group and Spotify has already allegedly been debunked on social media. In his “pre-action” petition filing, Drake, through his company, Frozen Moments LLC, brought up “online sources” showing that Apple’s Siri would direct users to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” when they requested “Certified Loverboy.” HipHopDX’s Jeremy Hecht, who previously shared one of the viral videos pointing that out, has since clarified that this was only a glitch due to lyric recognition that Siri implements for users who may not remember a song’s title. “Certified Lover Boy? Certified pedophiles,” Lamar raps on the diss track.

The filing alleges: “UMG paid, or approved payments to, Apple Inc. to have its voice-activated digital assistant ‘Siri’ purposely misdirect users to ‘Not Like Us.’ Online sources reported that when users asked Siri to play the album ‘Certified Loverboy’ by recording artist Aubrey Drake Graham d/b/a Drake, Siri instead played ‘Not Like Us,’ which contains the lyric ‘certified pedophile,’ an allegation against Drake.”

Diddy’s Assault Of Cassie Left Stevie J In Shock

Stevie J says he was thrown for a loop by the video of Diddy assaulting Cassie at a hotel in 2016, which CNN published for the first time, earlier this year. He reflected on seeing the footage for the first time and how he handled it during an interview with TMZ for the outlet’s docuseries, The Downfall of Diddy.

“It really threw me for a loop,” Stevie said. “I always think about and talk about things I know to be true about Sean Combs.” From there, he alleged that he spoke with Diddy about the incident afterward and the Bad Boy mogul said he was in a “dark place” at the time. “After I saw the video, I went and saw him in Miami and we had a conversation. And I let him know how affected I was by that. I didn’t know he had that in him to do that,” Stevie said. “I just know that he was in a dark place in his life, as he described to me. He was just doing a lot of drugs and it was just dark for him.”

Being in a “dark place” echoes comments Diddy made shortly after CNN first published the footage. “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that,” Diddy said in a video on social media. “I was f**ked up—I hit rock bottom—but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help, I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace.”

More recently, Diddy has been trying to get out of jail on bond after authorities arrested him on charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering, back in September. A decision on his latest try is expected at some point this week. If unsuccessful, he’ll be spending Thanksgiving behind bars. He’s already pleaded not guilty and denied all of the allegations against him.

Diddy’s latest attempt at getting out on bond comes after Judge Arun Subramanian shot down his idea of staying at his Miami mansion on house arrest, last week. Diddy is now hoping he’ll be able to spend the holidays at his Upper East Side apartment with strict limitations. They’d include around-the-clock security with the removal of internet and phone access outside of contacting his attorneys. He would also need approval before family visits. A decision is expected at some point on Monday.

As Diddy attempts to get out of jail, attorney Ariel Mitchell, who represents multiple alleged victims in cases against Diddy, said that her clients are concerned for their safety. “All of them are very apprehensive about their safety if he were to be granted bond,” Mitchell told News Nation of the alleged victims. “I am confident in the court. I am sure that the court will remain with their previous decision of no bond.” Diddy has pleaded not guilty in his case regarding charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering. He’s also denied all other allegations against him. Be on the lookout for further updates on the case on HotNewHipHop.

Diddy Allegedly Acted Like A “Jerk” During “SNL” Appearance

Diddy allegedly acted like a “jerk” while appearing on Saturday Night Live in 1998, according to former cast member Ana Gasteyer. Gasteyer recalled meeting the Bad Boy mogul during a recent interview on the Las Culturistas podcast with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang. She explained that Diddy requested the studio be on lockdown as he rehearsed his single, “Come With Me,” featuring a sample from the iconic Led Zeppelin song, “Kashmir.”

“You can spot the five jerks in my six years there [from 1996 to 2002]. They’d come in, and suddenly it’d be, ‘So-and-so is in the building, everyone stay in your dressing rooms,’” Gasteyer said on the show. “It makes sense for a president, but otherwise? No. This is our house. For P. Diddy, he demanded a totally closed set.”

She explained that Will Ferrell then decided to dress up as a character named Ron to lighten the mood. “I have video from the control room,” Gasteyer recalled. “Sean Combs is rapping, with that ‘da-na-na, da-na-na’ Kashmir riff, and here comes Ron wandering around looking totally lost. It’s the best thing ever because, honestly, imagine interrupting Combs—a guy whose whole image was built on exaggerated importance—with Ron. (Combs) was absolutely uncomfortable, but it was so perfect. It exposed how overblown all of the seriousness was.” Ferrell previously recalled the incident during an interview with Vulture in 2020.

Diddy’s Alleged Victims Express Concern For Their Safety As He Attempts To Get Out Of Jail

Diddy’s alleged victims are concerned for their safety as he continues to try to get out of jail on bond. Attorney Ariel Mitchell, who represents multiple alleged victims in cases against Diddy, discussed his latest effort at getting out during a recent interview with News Nation. He remains behind bars in Brooklyn on charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering.

“All of them are very apprehensive about their safety if he were to be granted bond,” Mitchell said of the alleged victims. “I am confident in the court. I am sure that the court will remain with their previous decision of no bond.” She then brought up grand jury witness Courtney Burgess, alleging that victims have received death threats online. She did, however, admit none of the threats had come from Diddy directly. “There have been threats from people on the internet, but not from, at least, what we don’t know from Diddy to be directly.” she added. “Mr. Burgess has received several death threats. My client, Mrs. Parham, has been receiving threats, but we don’t know if they’re just regular people from the internet, or if they’re actually people who were sent by Diddy.”

She then added she’s grateful Judge Arun Subramanian denied his request to spend the rest of his time awaiting trial on house arrest in Miami. “I keep two straps on me,’ Mitchell said. “And I have God protecting me. I’m not scared. As long as he’s behind bars. I will say, if he does get out, I am grateful to hear that the judge won’t let him come back to Miami, so, to that extent, I’m very grateful. If he were to come back to Miami, I probably would be a little nervous and probably beef up security, I’m pretty good with my Smith and Wesson.”
