Denzel Curry And ASAP Rocky Team Up For The First Time On ‘Hoodlumz’ With PlayThatBoiZay

Denzel Curry’s new album King Of The Mischievous South Vol. 2 is out in just a few more days, and he’s keeping the hype train running with the punishing new single “Hoodlumz,” featuring PlayThatBoiZay and ASAP Rocky. UK producer Kwes Darko provides a suitably menacing and the three MCs reciprocate with some Killer Instinct Ultra combo flows, throwing punchy rhymes almost as fast as the listener can catch them.

Rocky’s appearance is notable, given the history between him and his host’s respective rap crews back in the early blog era from which both emerged. Rocky, a member of the New York-based ASAP Mob, and Denzel, who claimed the more diffuse but ostensibly Florida-oriented Raider Klan, would have been, if not outright enemies, then at least less than cordial back then.

Both groups were heavily influenced by both the Memphis trap sound and the Houston chopped-and-screwed sound, but neither wanted to share digital space with the other. Consider it a 2010s version of the “South Bronx” battle between MC Shan and Juice Crew vs. KRS-One and Boogie Down Productions over hip-hop’s original birthplace. Apparently, whatever issue Zel and Rocky had before has since been cleared up — although it should be noted, neither is really all that tight with their old crews anymore either.

“Hoodlumz” is the third single from King Of The Mischievous South Vol. 2, following “Hot One” with TiaCorine and the former ASAP Ferg and “Black Flag Freestyle” with That Mexican OT.

King Of The Mischievous South Vol. 2 is out 7/19 via Loma Vista. Find more information here.

The FERG Era Is Upon Us With New Single “MDMX”

Just a few days ago, fans of the A$AP Mob were thrilled to see that Ferg and Rocky were bumping some new material that they recently recorded. A short clip made the rounds online of the two crew mates getting hype for a possible collab coming soon. However, people are now in shock that the boisterous rapper has dropped the A$AP title from his name. Everyone is just now finding about this due to FERG (his new stage name) dropping a single out of nowhere called “MDMX.”

There is a strong possibility that FERG did not accept the supposed invitation from Nast to rejoin the Mob. He apparently was removed from the 2010s collective in 2020 and things just have not been the same since then. Him shortening his name to FERG could be all we need to know that a new era for the Harlem veteran is underway. “MDMX” is just the second solo single from him since 2021’s “Green Juice” with Pharrell Williams and The Neptunes.

Listen To “MDMX” By FERG

Additionally, it follows up his 2020 sequel tape Floor Seats II, so it has been a long time coming for the “Shabba” MC. “MDMX” is a trap trunk knocker with some trademark voice inflections and pretty entertaining flows. The fact that it is not anything to outside of the box for FERG, could hamper this supposed new trajectory’s impact. But it is a serviceable release until hopefully more comes later on.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “MDMX” by FERG? Is this one of his strongest releases as of late, why or why not? How do you feel about him dropping the A$AP moniker from his stage name? What do you think he is suggesting by doing this? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding FERG. Uno The Activist & Ian Connor Clash In Wild Brawl At 2023 ComplexCon

Uno The Activist, Ian Connor

UnoTheActivist and Ian Connor, two prominent figures in hip-hop and fashion, found themselves at the center of a wild brawl during the highly-anticipated 2023 ComplexCon. The altercation, which also involved Bloody Osiris and Bloody Dior, has left fans speculating about the origins of the fight and the underlying tensions between these influential individuals.

What Happened?

In the midst of the 2023 ComplexCon, UnoTheActivist, Ian Connor, Bloody Osiris, and Bloody Dior, were captured in a violent altercation that shocked attendees. UnoTheActivist, an Atlanta rapper recognized for his collaborations with Playboi Carti and Thouxanbanfani, became the focal point of the fight, leaving fans curious about what sparked the confrontation.

It is worth noting that Ian Connor, a renowned figure in the fashion industry with ties to Kanye West and past affiliation with the A$AP Mob, was not a bystander in the altercation.

Connections in the hip-hop and fashion industries intertwined, with figures ultimately linked to one another. In relation to Ian Connor’s past affiliation with A$AP Mob, in July 2023 at Rolling Loud Miami, A$AP Rocky took shots at A$AP Bari, Ian Connor, and Travis Scott during his performance.

Connor, who was present at ComplexCon to relaunch his clothing brand, Pastelle, had his booth at the event. His connection to the hip-hop world placed him in the same circle as Bloody Dior and Bloody Osiris, further entangling the relationships surrounding the brawl.

Fans Speculate

Fans are speculating that the alleged beef has been ongoing for six years. One fan named @thegreatalan19 wrote, “This is YEARS OF BEEF in the making.”

According to fan claims, Bloody Dior and Uno The Activist reportedly had a falling out over a woman. Allegedly, Dior shot Uno following the dispute. Behind the scenes, there seems to be a long-standing feud between Bloody Dior and Uno The Activist, allegedly rooted in a dispute over a woman.

Rumors suggest that Dior shot Uno, leading to a fallout resulting in accusations of snitching. Bloody Dior took to Instagram Live six years ago, claiming that Uno had provided information to the police, a claim he backed with supposed evidence.

Bloody Dior and Bloody Osiris’ connection is that they are actually blood-related brothers.

They are profoundly known as the Bloody Brothers, have affiliated with the A$AP Mob, and have worked with other hip-hop artists such as Kanye West, Travis Scott, and more. They also are in the same circle as stylist and brand owner Ian Connor.

Bloody Dior’s 2017 Interview

In a 2017 interview with The Uncommon Magazine, Bloody Dior was very transparent about his relationship with UnoTheActivist, where he alleged that they got into an argument where Uno threatened him. He stated:

“At the end of the day, the situation with Uno was like, we got into an argument. Uno basically threatened me. He threatened me saying, I wouldn’t leave Atlanta, and had people come pull up on me four cars deep and there was fires shot and he got hit. He wrote a statement saying I hit him and that I shot him.”

This may allude to when in the 2020 interview with No Jumper, UnoTheActivist explained how he was shot, although he gave a general explanation with no names being mentioned.

Following the brawl, messages attributed to Bloody Dior and Bloody Osiris circulated, requesting the deletion of videos capturing the incident. Bloody Osiris pleaded:

“Yo gang can u delete video niggas can go to jail for that, Asking on some man to man bro.”

Offset Sued After 2021 ComplexCon Brawl

This incident at ComplexCon is not the first time violence has marred the event. Recently, rapper Offset and fellow artist YRN Murk faced allegations of assault, battery, and negligence following a brawl at ComplexCon 2021.

ASAP Rocky Allegedly Told ASAP Relli ‘I’ll Kill You’ Before Shooting Him In The Hand, According To Relli’s Court Testimony

ASAP Rocky went to court yesterday for a preliminary hearing in the shooting case against him. There, ASAP Relli, the former ASAP Mob member who accused Rocky of shooting him in the hand in 2021, testified that Rocky told him, “I’ll kill you right now,” before opening fire four times.

Rocky had already pled not guilty to two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm after being arrested in April 2022 at LAX while returning from Barbados on a trip with his girlfriend (rumored wife) Rihanna.

Police also raided Rocky’s home in Los Angeles, reportedly finding a gun, but not the one used in the alleged shooting. Police also said they secured footage of the shooting, providing enough evidence to officially charge the rapper for assault.

Relli later sued Rocky and his lawyer Joe Tacopina for defamation, arguing that statements Tacopina made about Relli “trying to get money from Rocky” constituted slander.

According to TMZ, Tacopina cross-examined Relli, trying to expose inconsistencies in his story and questioning why he delayed going to law enforcement. Relli insisted that he only waited to report the alleged attack for fear of retaliation. He also denied that the report was a money play, while detailing how exactly the ASAP Mob members fell out.

A$AP Rocky Releases New Single “Same Problems?”

A$AP Rocky’s gearing up to drop off his forthcoming album this year. Today, he blessed fans with one of the most anticipated singles off of the record.

This afternoon, A$AP Rocky dropped off his new single, “Same Problems?” in its entirety. The rapper initially debuted the single at his Amazon Music performance in December, which immediately captured fans’ attention.

When he debuted the song, he displayed images of some of the rappers who’ve passed away in recent years, from Drakeo The Ruler to MF DOOM.

In contrast to “Shittin Me,” A$AP Rocky’s latest single finds him taking on melancholy production with little percussion and additional vocals from Lil Yachty. Instead, Rocky croons over gentle guitar strings and hallucinatory synths. The Harlem rapper continues to push the envelope with each project, so it’ll be interesting to see how his next body of work shapes up.

“I’m gonna put it to you like this: This next album needs to be just called Flacko Boomin, you hear me?” A$AP Rocky said. “Most artists wanna make [collabs just because they’re hot]. For us, it’s like, that’s really my n***a.”
