Danny Brown Announces North American Tour Next Year Following New Album

Last month, Danny Brown released his highly anticipated new album, Quaranta. The introspective project has reportedly been in the works for a long time and caught up in label limbo for years. The album was an instant hit for critics and quickly became a mainstay of many albums of the year lists in the past few weeks. Next year, fans of the album will get the chance to see Danny perform it in person when he takes off on a pretty extensive North American tour.

The 24-date tour will cross the USA and Canada in March and April of next year. It gets underway with a show in Boston on March 12 and runs a little over a month before wrapping up in Nashville on April 14. Tickets for the show will go on sale tomorrow at 10 AM local time. Earlier this year Danny embarked on another tour with JPEGMAFIA. Those performances followed the release of the pair’s collaborative album Scaring The Hoes which also proved to be a major critical darling. Check out the tour announcement and full list of dates below.

Danny Brown’s “Quaranta” Tour

Both of the singles from Danny’s new album have quickly become fan favorites. The lead single “Tantor” dropped back in October and was met with fan praise for its strange super hero themed instrumental and uncompromising flows. That was followed by “Jenn’s Terrific Vacation” a lyrical gem which saw Danny touching on themes of gentrification with impressive focus and insight. Lauryn Hill Postpones “Miseducation” Tour Amid “Serious Vocal Strain”

Lauryn Hill has postponed the rest of her tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill while dealing with “serious vocal strain.” She explained the decision in a lengthy statement on Instagram, early Wednesday. After thanking fans for their continued support throughout the tour thus far, she explained why she can’t continue until 2024.

“As many of you may know, I’ve been battling serious vocal strain for the past month,” she wrote. “I made it through each show by taking prescribed prednisone, but this can be detrimental to the body when taken in large amounts over long periods of time. In order to prevent any long term negative affect on my voice and my body, I need to take time off to allow for real vocal recovery so that I can discontinue the medication completely.”

We’re working on the new calendar now, and announcing soon.” Despite the postponement, Hill says she and the Fugees will still go forward with their show in Philadelphia, this weekend. Cam’ron & Mase May Be Going On Tour Together Thanks To Wallo

Cam’ron says that he and Mase are planning to go on tour and will be able to do so thanks to Wallo. During a recent appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, Cam explained that they were having trouble organizing it so Wallo called up Shawn Gee, the President of Live Nation Urban, and put in a good word.

Cam’ron began by clarifying that their original plans for a tour did not fall through due to Mase. From there, Wallo calls up Shawn Gee live on the podcast and Gee remarks that he’d “put them on tour tomorrow.” Gee also suggests having them do their It Is What It Is podcast live at Roots Picnic next year and potentially put a set together.

So we want to tell you guys thank you so much. And you see what it led to [It Is What It Is], because Harlem n***as are gonna start hustling once we cool again.”

Rihanna Comeback Tour Reportedly Slated For 2024/25, Singer Has Two Albums Ready For Her Navy

Rihanna is a woman who has always marched to the beat of her own drum. Thankfully, her creative talents afford her the freedom to do so in avenues like fashion design, music, and makeup. For the most part, the Barbadian beauty has been pouring her energy into starting a family with ASAP Rocky. Their second son, Riot Rose Mayers, arrived earlier this year, marking what Rih has described as the “completion” of their unit.

Now that she’s accomplishing her matriarchal goals, the 36-year-old is reportedly turning her attention back to what made her famous in the first place – her vocals. Performing at the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime show back in February was a huge moment for Rih, and many thought she would use that performance to announce a new album or tour. Instead, the moment confirmed her second pregnancy, leaving the world absolutely shocked. After giving birth, the “Lift Me Up” singer took some time to recover, but according to the latest reports, she’s cooking up something big for 2024.

Rihanna Preparing Her Return to the Stage, Sources Say

As The Mirror notes, Rih inked a $20+ million deal with Live Nation for a comeback world tour. “The deal was created to facilitate a world tour and her creative team is quietly at work in Los Angeles putting it all together as she raises her family. She’ll press play on the live show once she’s ready to go back to work and has two albums’ worth of material to release once she’s back,” a source dished to the outlet.

By now, fans trust that Rihanna will provide an update on her next musical endeavours when she feels ready to do so. In the meantime, we’ve been enjoying watching her and ASAP Rocky’s relationship grow as they parent their two young children together. The Bad Gal has previously said that she’s in no rush to tie the knot. Still, she and her rapper beau sparked rumours earlier this month about a potential engagement. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news.
