Yung Joc Gets Roasted After Debuting Fake Beard

Yung Joc is back at it, debuting his new look and showing off his spray-on fake beard on social media. The 37-year-old rapper/television personality was seemingly tired of waiting for his facial hair to grow in so he got a special spray to make it appear as though he grew a full beard overnight.

He posted his fake facial hair for the first time on Wednesday, sharing a video of himself at the radio station with his spray, applying it onto his face. He even had a pair of clippers in hand to shape himself up as everyone watched in the background and passed comments. A few women can be heard telling Joc to make sure he doesn’t miss his mustache before he sprays his upper lip.

As you can expect, Yung Joc is being roasted to oblivion for this. He’s done some corny things in the past but, for many of the people commenting, this takes the cake. “Not Yung Joc...with a lace front beard,” joked one fan on Twitter.

This isn’t the first time that Joc has made the news because people are making fun of him. He recently spoke with HNHH exclusively about the time a video of him driving for a ride-sharing app went viral. Of course, he was also mentioned unfavorably in Lil Baby and 42 Dugg’s collaborative rap record “We Paid”

Amy Winehouse Doc “10 Years On” Announced By BBC, One Decade After Her Passing

Amy Winehouse passed away from alcohol poisoning at the age of 27 on July 23, 2011, and even a decade after her death, several artists and members of the music industry are still inspired by the English singer and songwriter. Last fall, one of the late artist’s close friends and collaborators, Nas, paid respect to Amy Winehouse on their shared birthday, and Lupe Fiasco has even revealed that he has been working on new music inspired by the iconic singer. Since her passing, there have also been plenty of documentaries and works about Winehouse’s life, including the 2015 film Amy and the 2014 book Loving Amy: A Mother’s Story. Now, BBC has announced that it will be airing a new documentary in honor of the ten-year anniversary of Amy Winehouse’s death.

Titled Amy Winehouse: 10 Years On, BBC Two’s forthcoming documentary will explore Amy’s life and career and be primarily told from the perspective of her mother, Janis Winehouse. According to BBC, Janis was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2003, which thoroughly motivated her to make the documentary before the disease “threatens to strip her of her memories of Amy.”

Rolling Stone reports that Janis spoke on untrue and misleading depictions and narratives surrounding her daughter on past documentaries like Amy, saying, “I don’t feel the world knew the true Amy, the one that I brought up, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to offer an understanding of her roots and a deeper insight into the real Amy.”

A release date for Amy Winehouse: 10 Years On has not yet been revealed, so stay tuned for updates.

Young Dolph & Key Glock Scam Their Way Out Of Aspen In Their ‘Dummest & The Dummest’ Video

In a stroke of what could be either genius or insanity, Young Dolph & Key Glock have shared an usual video for the outro from their second joint album, Dum And Dummer 2. While they’ve already put out videos for “No Sense,” “Green Light,” “Aspen,” “Sleep With The Roaches,” and “Penguins,” apparently they really wanted fans to be see their chemistry “Dummest & The Dummest” just plays in the background.

And truthfully, they could be right. While not a lot happens visually, the true treat is in the subtitles that appear on-screen, designating each rapper by a hilarious nickname and literally transcribing phrases like “rich white b*tches.” Set on the patio of the cabin the duo rented out for their “Aspen” video, the two discuss Glizock’s car trouble, scamming the cabin’s owner, and the opulent home decorations. Glock also gets lost on the way out.

Speaking of getting out, it looks like Dolph is ready to get out of the rap game. He announced that Dum And Dummer 2 would be his final release on Instagram, telling fans, “I hope y’all enjoying the new mixtape, it’s my last project putting out. I wasn’t gonna tell y’all but I thought y’all should know I’m done with music.” Of course, we’ve heard that before.

Strain Review — Chomp By Russ X Wonderbrett Might Be The Best ‘Studio Weed’ Out There

Russ gave his legion of fans insane, crazy bars on his 2020 EP Chomp. Now he’s offering straight gas with his weed line, Chomp by Russ x Wonderbrett. It’s the exact same strain the rapper smoked while creating the aforementioned project’s lush offerings — five songs featuring elite hip-hop lyricists Benny The Butcher, Busta Rhymes, KXNG Crooked, and Black Thought, alongside DJ Premier and… the list goes on.

In collaboration with Brett Feldman and Cameron Damwijk — founders and cultivars of West Coast cannabis brand Wonderbrett — Russ’s cannabis line is a chance for the 28-year-old artist to offer fans a glimpse inside the Chomp creation experience. It’s also the kind of marijuana that any chronic-loving musician would be hyped to smoke during studio sessions.

Since his SoundCloud beginnings, Russ has been in complete control of his career and has become the obvious example of what it means to work independently in the music industry in the digital age. Releasing as many mixtapes as he has and as dedicated to the craft as he is, launching a weed strain (that won’t leave you slumped) with one of the most reputable cannabis companies in the game feels like it was always in the cards. The point being: it’s a good fit.

When the perfect opportunity to dive into the cannabis business arrived, Russ chose to produce a strain that was something that he enjoys himself. And that meant a balanced strain where users could avoid both sleepiness and overthinking.

“I’m not a heavy smoker who’s just gonna sit around and smoke all day but oftentimes in the studio I enjoy experiencing an alternative yet still tuned in perspective, so keeping a joint of something productive nearby comes in handy,” Russ stated in a press release. “I might as well control what’s in the joint so that’s what I’ve done here with Wonderbrett.”

Feldman added, “The result is a great introductory high that really serves to enlighten and inspire artists to create. It doesn’t give you a couch lock effect.”

The strain itself was created with a male from Wonderbrett’s OZK stable and crossed into a Cookies & Cream female. From there they went through 20 seedlings and settled on phenotype No. 4. Currently, Chomp is only available at Stiiizy — a dispensary located in Downtown Los Angeles. But the brand has promised that new outlets will be added on the daily (stay up to date here), including the Wonderbrett flagship dispensary, launching in LA’s Fairfax District later this year.

Chomp by Russ x Wonderbrett dropped on Monday, March 29th, and we tested it that day in both its flower and pre-roll forms. Check out our review below.

The Products & Presentation

Cherise Johnson

1g CHOMP x Wonderbrett Pre-Roll & ⅛ CHOMP x Wonderbrett Box

Strain: Hybrid

Dominant Terpenes: Limonene, Humulene, Linalool, Caryophyllene, and Pinene

THC: 22.82%

CBD: .06%

Retail Price: ⅛ CHOMP x Wonderbrett Box for $60, ⅛ CHOMP x Wonderbrett Bag for $45, 1g CHOMP x Wonderbrett Pre-Roll for $15.

The Experience

First of all, the packaging. The design. The satin box. The gilded press. The snarling dog, showing its gnashing teeth. The rich, red, gold, and black colorway. The whole Chomp x Wonderbrett branding sets the tone for an opulent affair.

Though I tried Chomp as both flower and as a pre-roll, the experiences were somewhat different. First, let’s talk about what each product has to offer and then what made them different for me.

The pre-roll came prepared inside of a plastic tube container, emblazoned with Russ’s signature Chomp logo and necessary cannabis factoids. Once the top came off and the pre-roll slid into my hand, I was dealing with a Raw cone tightly packed with herb. The light up and pull was smooth to start, then I felt an immediate head rush followed by my nose feeling a bit spicy. This was just the very beginning of what would turn into an intense cerebral high.

After a few minutes, the stinging I felt in my nose disappeared and what arrived was a euphoric sense of happiness and urge to do something. Anything.

Cherise Johnson

Slight overthinking did rear its ugly head, yet the happiness and excitement I was feeling had me floating above it all. Once the high fully set in, I became very grateful and happy — living in the moment. It felt as if all my senses opened up, making all of my perceptions more clear. Not to mention, I had full confidence in my thoughts and wasn’t judging myself for every little thing.

At this point, it’s clear why Russ would dub this as “studio weed” and why sharing a name with his Chomp EP was a necessity.

When it came time to explore the flower option I was met with the soft, sweet aroma of citrus and nuts, and frosted nugs inside a dark plastic container. I love an icy nug and Chomp is fully iced out. The flower itself was pretty rigid to the touch but strong and not brittle.

Cherise Johnson

Once I packed out a raw cone with the minced Chomp nugs and lit it, the immediate head rush and nose-tingling occurred just like with the pre-roll. Once the high settled in though, the happiness I felt with the pre-roll was more extreme, if perhaps more chaotic. Maybe it’s the way I packed it that made the experience different, but I was laughing at everything when I smoked the flower and fell into a fit of laughter more than once. It really made my day fun and gave my mind the freedom for all of my ideas to flow without the weird voice of judgment that I get when smoking Sativa.

The Bottom Line

Chomp is definitely a strain best-suited for catching a late-night vibe at the studio or as a solo mid-day high if you’re a creative working from home. I can also see this as being a great strain to smoke in social settings and, of course, while listening to music. It’s a happy, relaxing herb that gets the creative juices flowing.

Action Bronson Drops Off “F*ck That’s Delicious” Episode 2

Action Bronson has been undergoing a body transformation for the ages, having shed over sixty pounds following a dedicated fitness and dietary regiment. Yet as they say, the show must go on, and that includes his passion project series F*ck That’s Delicious.

No longer affiliated with Vice, the independently produced fifth season has shifted away from unbridled gluttony, placing further emphasis on Bronson’s active lifestyle. That’s not to say the gourmet culinary stylings of Chef Bronsolinio are done away with altogether — the iconic title suggests, there remains plenty of high-quality food porn designed to get the mouth-watering.

In the fifth season’s second episode, titled “BAM BAM AND CC’S TORTURE CHAMBER,” Bronson hits the gym with Hall of Fame pitcher CC Sabathia, plays a spirited game of paddleball with his longtime buddy, and tosses a “beautiful prime bone-in filet” onto the grill. Though some might not necessarily be into the fitness footage, rest assured that there’s enough of Bronson’s signature wit and charming vernacular to keep even the most gym-averse viewer entertained.

As for the main course, Bronson brushes his prime filets with garlic with the Sicilian oil (“Sun-softened,” he adds) before placing them tenderly atop the grill. A simple meal to be sure, but one that’s about as tried and true as they come. Check out the inspiring second episode of F*ck That’s Delicious below, and show some love to hip-hop’s favorite gourmet.

T.I. Returns With Thoughtful Tribute To Nipsey Hussle

Today marks Nipsey Hussle’s death anniversary, and many have come forward to celebrate the late rapper’s memory. His girlfriend Lauren London took a moment to speak on the profound loss she continues to feel, while many of his hip-hop peers offered their own reflections. One such message came from T.I, who has been relatively quiet on social media since finding himself embroiled in a legal situation.

In any case, Troubleman took the time to share a few thoughtful words on Nipsey Hussle’s legacy, looking back on what sounds like an eventful night the pair experienced in Atlanta. “It’s important to remember…Energy can not be destroyed…only transferred & redistributed,” he begins, alongside a clip of Hussle dropping knowledge in an interview. “Nip You’ve impacted the generation immeasurably & Your legacy will live on forever.”

I” miss our discussions & being able to challenge my plans & perspective by bouncing ideas off of each other over bottles of 1942 when we arbitrarily run into one another,” he continues. “Like the time you came to Atlanta & I pulled up on you & we went to see Dave Chappelle, blew gas backstage after the show and mobbed to Magic City… the 3 of us exchanging philosophy about life, society, family, future vacation plans, business, politics, street shit, real estate, religion, & pretty much anything that came up on the way to the bottom of the bottle.”

“Dave and I still talk about that night to this day & every time we do,” concludes T.I. “I can feel the same energy as that night. And it’s that energy that YOU produced and shared with so many of us that’ll live FOREVER!!! We All Love, Appreciate & Miss you Lil Bro.” Check out T.I’s message to Nipsey Hussle below, and rest in peace to the West Coast visionary.

SMILEZ Stages A “Simp Walk” For Second Single

SMILEZ has officially released his second official single and music video, dropping “Simp Walk” on all digital streaming platforms alongside a music video shot in Los Angeles.

The new song follows “Head Shoulders” as his latest attempt to gain viral success. The all-yellow-wearing rapper stages a “Simp Walk” through the streets of LA, modeling his event after Amber Rose’s well-known Slut Walk. Backed by dozens of models wearing yellow bikinis, SMILEZ carried his “I’m A Hoe Too” sign à la 21 Savage and stopped traffic for a few hours.

While the record doesn’t disguise itself from its degrading nature, SMILEZ passes the video off as comedy, attempting to book a room in an apartment complex for himself and about thirty half-naked ladies. Despite the fact that they weren’t able to get a room, SMILEZ ended up buying them McDonald’s, so at least they didn’t leave empty-handed?

Watch the new video single “Simp Walk” below and read our 2020 interview with SMILEZ here to learn more about him.

Quotable Lyrics:

She a freak, she belong in the circus
She a beast in the sheets when the Perc hit
She a queen but to me she worth it
She a demon but I’m who she worship
She a demon so how you possessed her?
How you cuffin’ her? I just f*ckin’ neglect her
How you lovin’ her? I don’t even respect her
Now take all of the dots and connect ’em

Boosie Badazz Reacts To Quavo & Saweetie Fight Video

Another layer has been added to the high-profile breakup between rappers Quavo and Saweetie. The two called it quits last week after Saweetie called out Quavo and accused him of cheating on social media. Following some back-and-forth, it seemed as though we had possibly heard the end of their dramatic relationship. TMZ had different plans in mind though, releasing a video showing a physical altercation between Quavo and Saweetie in an elevator on Tuesday.

In the video, Saweetie tries to throw a punch at Quavo, her boyfriend at the time. He dodges the punch and physically pulls her into the elevator, dropping her to the ground as they struggle over an orange Call of Duty briefcase. Quavo does not offer to help his girlfriend up and shows very little care for her, walking out of the elevator after they reach their floor and holding the door open with the same briefcase they tussled over. Many have said that the video shows clear signs of toxicity and abuse in their relationship. Trouble argued in his own video that there was no abuse displayed. Boosie Badazz seems to agree.

Taking to Twitter, Boosie basically said that he’s siding with Quavo on this one. “@QuavoStuntin did not abuse @Saweetie,” wrote the rapper. “Look at the video, I AGREE WITH @TroubleDTE SHE LOST THE TUG OF WAR.”

It’s not a surprise that Boosie takes this stance on this situation. He’s known for his controversial opinions, voicing his misogynistic, homophobic, and transphobic views on the regular.

What do you think about Boosie’s stance on the physical altercation between Saweetie and Quavo?
