Young Thug Gets Back To Country-Rap With New Preview

Young Thug remains one of the most influential artists of his generation, constantly shifting the culture with his genre-bending displays of creativity. It’s impossible to put Thugger in a box, which is the reason why we love him so much. He could release a country album, a full-on rap project, a mixtape filled with rock songs, and pop-influenced sounds and it would still end up sounding ground-breaking.

As he continues to tease the upcoming releases of Slime Language 2 and PUNK, his solo album, Young Thug dropped off a teaser video of one of his latest efforts in the studio. What sounds like a collaboration with Young Stoner Life Records signee Gunna, the new song recalls 2017’s Beautiful Thugger Girls, a commercial mixtape that saw the artist dive deeper into his country-based inspirations.

The guitar-driven song is produced by Turbo, one of the YSL collective’s favorite young producers. It doesn’t sound much like anything on Thug’s latest album So Much Fun and it’s currently unclear which project this song was intended for. With the inclusion of Gunna on an additional verse, it’s quite possible that this record will be included on Slime Language 2, which is the label’s compilation project.

Detroit Rapper Tay B Grabs Lil Durk For New Single “Stashbox”

One of the hottest rappers in the world right now, Chicago drill star Lil Durk is back with yet another feature on buzzing Detroit artist Tay B’s new single “Stashbox”.

Tay B has been making noise locally for a minute but he’s about to make a larger splash, coming through with his latest single, which is likely to become his biggest song yet. “Stashbox” features Lil Durk, who has been going on quite the run as of late. The single is accompanied by a brand new music video, directed by Jerry Productions. It tells the story of misplaced anger and rage, as well as the feeling of being misunderstood as a whole.

Durkio makes an appearance in the video, helping Tay B tell the story with striking visuals.

Watch the video below and let us know what you think.

Quotable Lyrics:

And I’m a bougie street n***a, I had bad thots
He swung the dough and put a nickel in his dreadlocks
My n***as junkies, mixin’ Percocets and pink Runtz
That sh*t be crazy, goin’ federal for street money

RIco Nasty’s Playful ‘P*ssy Poppin’ Video Lets A Different Body Part Do The Talking

While Rico Nasty is better known for her rebellious lyrics than her raunchy ones, that doesn’t mean she won’t get sexual when the situation calls for it — and with a title like “P*ssy Poppin,” her latest single from Nightmare Vacation definitely calls for it. The racy video features Rico’s signature surreal twists, but still probably shouldn’t be viewed at work.

It opens with Rico and a male lover in a bed draped with silk sheets as Rico writhes and toys with what looks suspiciously like a two-foot erection under the sheets. Rico also pulls out some silly costumes, dressing up as a human valentine and, yes, as an anthropomorphic penis. In her valentine costume, visual effects put Rico’s mouth, rapping the lyrics to the song, squarely between her legs, letting her “other” lips do the talking. The effect winds up more comedic than sexy but with Rico, that kind of goes with the territory.

“P*ssy Poppin” is the latest single from the DMV area rapper’s elaborate debut, which also boasted similarly wacky videos for “iPhone,” “Own It,” “OH FR?,” and “STFU.”

Young Dolph And Key Glock Are Ice-Cold In Their NSFW ‘Penguins’ Video

After releasing three singles, “Case Closed,” “Aspen,” and “Sleep With The Roaches,” Young Dolph and Key Glock dropped their Dum And Dummer 2 joint mixtape today/last night, sharing one more video this morning/afternoon: The borderlined-NSFW “Penguins.”

As you may have already figured out, “Penguins” is yet another metaphor for how icy the two Memphis rappers are, and while the video eschews the high-concept theme of the similarly-titled “Aspen,” it gets the job done when it comes to showing off their wealth. For one thing, their complementary Rolls-Royce’s are prominently featured, as is Glock’s truly ridiculous jewelry collection.

The duo stops for gas on the way to the strip club, performing about half the song by the pumps, then spends the rest of the video rapping next to a different kind of pump. If you’re lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you look at it) enough to have returned to working in an office, you may want to wait ’til you get home to watch the full video; although most of the naughtiest parts are helpfully blurred, you might still end up with a lot of explaining to do.

Lonzo Ball’s Conversation With The Pelicans Revealed

Lonzo Ball was a big name at the NBA trade deadline as many fans expected him to be traded. There were reports that LaVar wanted him out of New Orleans and that Lonzo himself was ready to move on and go somewhere else. In the end, however, the Pelicans opted to hold on to Lonzo, as there didn’t seem to be any trades that made sense for them. Now, Lonzo is will the team for the rest of the season, and he will be a free agent at the end of it.

According to Will Guillory of The Athletic, Pelicans executive David Griffin had a conversation with Lonzo, who ultimately told him that he wants to be in New Orleans and that he will be putting his best foot forward for the rest of the season.

Griffin explained that he likes what he has seen from Lonzo and his teammates although there have been some disappointing moments throughout the season. The Pelicans have struggled to be consistent and at this point in the season, their playoff outlook remains fairly bleak.

Regardless, the Pelicans can rest easy knowing Lonzo’s status is secure, and the team can now move on with the season. As for free agency, well, that’s a whole other story.

“The Suicide Squad” Returns In Maniacal New Trailer

It’s no secret that David Ayer’s Suicide Squad was not exactly a beloved cinematic property. In fact, it was pretty much maligned across the board. Yet that didn’t stop DC and Warner Bros, who remained adamant that the franchise had limitless potential. They proceeded to reach out to director James Gunn, who knocked it out of the park with Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy, and seemingly gave him full creative control — a decision that may very well prove to be a winner.

At long last, the first trailer to the anticipated Suicide Squad sequel has arrived, about as maniacal as you might expect. Providing a closer look at Idris Elba’s Bloodsport, John Cena’s Peacemaker, Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman’s Rick Flagg, Michael Rooker’s Savant, and — perhaps most memorably — the Sylvestor Stallone-voiced King Shark, the trailer features plenty of filthy antics, brutal gore, and bizarre imagery to unpack.

Though the general plotline appears to follow similar beats as the first film — which is to say, a gaggle of miscreants coerced by the merciless Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) into participating in a high-stakes and potentially fatal mission under threat of death-by-head-explosion —  the sheer volume of characters and personalities onboard should ensure that The Suicide Squad is a rollicking (and explosive) good time. Interested parties can check out the official red-band trailer below, and sound off if you’re excited to see what the deranged mind of James Gunn brings to the table.

Dolphins Trade 3rd Overall Pick To 49ers In Massive Deal

With the NFL Draft going down next month, many fans were fully expecting there to be some massive trades as we get closer to the big day, General Managers are looking for big ways to make their teams better and there is no easier way of doing that than through trades. The Miami Dolphins have been a team at the top of everyone’s mind thanks to the fact that they have the third overall pick in this year’s draft. Having a top 3 pick is always crucial, and today, the Dolphins parted way with the slot.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Dolphins sent the third overall pick to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for the 12th overall pick, two future first-round picks, and the third-round selection in 2021. Needless to say, the 49ers had to give up a lot just to move up nine spots in the draft.

The 49ers are rumored to be seeking a quarterback and even the Dolphins were rumored to be doing the same thing. In fact, most Dolphins fans thought they would be getting Deshaun Watson, although trading the third overall pick to the 49ers is proof that they would rather just ride it out with Tua at this point.

There is going to be even more NFL news on the horizon, so keep it locked to HNHH for all of the latest updates.

Brockhampton Announces The Title And Release Date Of Their New Album

Chaotic hip-hop supergroup Brockhampton is a little under two years removed from their last full-length project, Ginger. Although their 2020 saw the release of a solid spate of singles — which have all been pulled down since — they were otherwise off the radar for most of the past year. They poked their heads above ground earlier this week with the release of the Danny Brown-featuring “Buzzcut,” presaging an impending return. Now, we know just when that return will be with the announcement of their new album.

Titled Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine, the next project will drop on April 9, accompanied by a live-streamed concert from Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La Studios in Malibu. According to a press release, it was inspired by the events of 2020, which forced the once tight-knit group to come to grips with growing up, growing apart, and reconnecting as life slowed down for the whole world.

It’ll also come with a limited edition box set featuring a T-shirt in black, blue, or white and a CD of the album with four additional bonus tracks. The band’s also made some musical changes as well; in-house producer Jabari Manwa will contribute vocals, while the group is also set to collaborate outside of their immediate circle for the first time.

Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine is out 4/9 on Question Everything/RCA Records. You can pre-order a limited edition box set here.

Miguel Announces His Impending Return, ‘Art Dealer Chic Vol. 4’

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from genre-bending R&B singer Miguel, but it looks like the wait for new material from the Grammy winner is almost over. Today, he announced the impending release of his return project, Art Dealer Chic Vol. 4 — the continuation of his popular blog-era EP series which introduced songs like “Adorn,” “Arch N Point,” and the original version of “Candles In The Sun, Blowin In The Wind” — on April 9.

And, as a bonus, Miguel also made the first three editions of Art Dealer Chic available on DSPs for the first time, allowing fans to play “Gravity,” “Ooh Aah!,” and “Party Life” from Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal.

Miguel capped a relatively quiet 2020 with the release of the video for his 2019 single “Funeral,” which not only ended the drought of new solo songs from the singer but also teased the impending return of the Art Dealer Chic series. “The Art Dealer Chic EPs have always been reserved for freedom, self-curation, and honest expression without the influence of music industry politics,” he explained at the time. “I’m excited to introduce my fans to a very different world in my creative expression, and that begins with ADC 4.”
