Lamar Odom Says He Wants To Fight Jake Paul To Avenge Nate Robinson

Ahead of his fight with Aaron Carter, Lamar Odom already has his sights set on another celebrity for a future boxing match: Jake Paul. The former Los Angeles Laker wants to avenge fellow basketball player Nate Robinson

“After Aaron Carter, I would love to fight Jake Paul,” Odom told TMZ Sports, Sunday. “For Nate Robinson!”

Robinson was knocked out by Paul in embarrassing fashion during their contest in 2020. The viral moment was so popular, it was sold for $10 million as an NFT, earlier this year.

Paul went on to defeat Ben Askren, last month, continuing his winning streak.

As for Odom’s upcoming bout with Carter, the matchup is scheduled to go down at the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City on June 12.

Celebrity Boxing CEO Damon Feldman hyped up the fight to TMZ, recently, saying that it is going to be a knockout.

“It’s gonna be a war, man. It’s gonna be a knockout, there’s no doubt,” he said.

“Well, after seeing him [Odom] training, he was training down there with the same guy that trains Kevin Hart, and he was training good. … His comeback is gonna be phenomenal, and same with Aaron Carter,” he continued.

Former NBA Player Ben Uzoh Detailed What It Was Like Defending J. Cole

Ben Uzoh, who suited up against J. Cole and the Rwanda Patriots for the Rivers Hoopers, Sunday, spoke about Cole’s peformance on the court after the matchup. Uzoh previously played for the New Jersey Nets & Toronto Raptors in the NBA.

As for his response when he heard he’d be playing against the rapper fresh off of the release of The Off-Season, Uzoh told Complex, “I was shocked and I was excited just because I knew the angle BAL, FIBA, and the NBA wanted to take in wanting him to be a part of it. He’s been up there in New York. He’s really tied in with some of the NBA guys that go and workout there. I’m sure there were talks and developments that happened well beyond just a couple weeks ago when he said he was going to sign. The angle he took, I was definitely excited.”

Cole finished with three points, three rebounds, and two assists, in the span of 17 minutes.

As for his performance, Uzoh said, “MAN, I think he got away with a foul one time. Without being so critical of him, I take it back to how he was able to suit up with a lot of professionals who represent their countries on this continent. He was able to represent Rwanda and the Patriots and even North Carolina. I’d rather hang it on that so shoutout to J. Cole and everything he brought for this inaugural season.”

Uzoh added that he’s a big fan of Cole’s music: “Absolutely. Me and one of my sisters went to a concert of his. I definitely respect his humility and storytelling. He’s one of my favorite rappers. He’s just a different guy. He’s really woke on a lot of issues that take place in the world.”

Kash Doll Was Robbed Of $500,000 Worth Of Jewelry From Her Car

Kash Doll fell victim to theft this past weekend. According to TMZ, the Detroit rapper was forced to call the police on Saturday after she discovered a thief broke into her car and made off with $500,000 worth of jewelry. The publication reports that the incident occurred between 11 p.m. and 5 p.m. while she was recording a music video in San Fernando Valley. The thief made off with a large sum of jewelry as well as a $50,000 Louis Vuitton bag. TMZ added that none of the windows on Kash Doll’s car were broken, which suggests that the items were taken through an unlocked door.

No arrests have been made so far but the hope is that Kash Doll can get her items recovered as soon as possible. The incident comes after a string of releases over the past couple of months from the rapper, including the flirtatious “Bossa Nova,” with Tee Grizzley, which later saw a video that put a wild twist on Goldilocks and the Three Bears. She also recently dropped the single “Thumbin” and joined fellow Detroiter Babyface Ray on “Allowance,” off his Unf*ckwitable EP.

As for what’s next, Kash Doll will join Snoop Dogg, La La Anthony, Steve Harris, and Russell Hornsby as actors on the upcoming series Black Mafia Family. She will play a character named Monique who’s described as a “paralegal for the biggest defense attorney in Detroit and a strong single mom determined to give her daughter a better life.”

Matthew McConaughey Is “Making Calls” For Potential Run For Texas Gov.: Report

Matthew McConaughey is reportedly “making calls” to potential donors and influential people in Texas’ political realm, as he is rumored to be considering a campaign to unseat incumbent Governor Greg Abbott in the state’s next election cycle.

Politico spoke with several key political strategists in the state to get their opinion on his chances of success in politics.

“Everybody loves you until you take a position. Right now you have a blank slate. You could go to a campaign event with him and get to meet a movie star but it’s a little different when he says he’s pro-life or pro-choice and there’s 50 other issues you could pick on that would have the same effect,” a senior Texas Republican operative told the outlet. “There’s a difference between asking if it’s a good idea or really running.”

An Austin-based Republican operative says they’re less interested in the rumors and are waiting for more concret details.

“If he starts a PAC, gets a website, that would be a real signal,” the Republican explained. “A lot of this seems like telephone chatter — one person passing it to another person.”

McConaughey has previously admitted he is giving consideration to running, but refused to let out any details: “It’s something I’m giving consideration. Absolutely. What an honorable thing to even be able to consider. I’m no further than that right now, Sir.”

Lakeith Stanfield Announces “Break From Social Media” Following Clubhouse Controversy

LaKeith Stanfield says he is taking a break from social media, following the controversy surrounding him moderating an anti-semitic chatroom on Clubhouse, earlier this month.

“Taking a break from this social media,” LaKeith wrote in a post on Instagram. “I’d advise you all do the same at least for a little while. Too much of it isn’t healthy I don’t think. Just know I’d never lie to secure my place in ‘Hollywood.’ If I say I don’t hate, it’s because I don’t. Hold your news sources accountable and think for yourselves. Talk soon.”

While Stanfield never said anything that could be considered anti-Semitic, according to people in the Clubhouse, he found himself facing backlash after he was listed as a moderator for the discussion. He apologized “unconditionally” for the incident the following day

The Academy Award nominee told The Daily Beast, Saturday, that he doesn’t stand by Louis Farrakhan.

“I definitely don’t align myself with Louis Farrakhan, I don’t stand by him,” Stanfield told the Daily Beast. “Any kind of hate speech, I vehemently reject. That’s not up for debate, hate is not up for debate.”

In a post on Twitter, Minaj confessed that her verse on the track was not the best out of the three in her eyes. “Way too many,” she wrote in response to someone who asked for her favorite Drake and Lil Wayne bar ever. “All I know is they washed me on #SeeingGreen. I’m woman enough to admit when I’ve been washed on a track by the Greats.” She added, “It’s ok #Barbz I’ve washed them b4. We’ll live through this one. I was still a lil rusty. Seth Rogen Shared A Hilarious Story About His Disastrous Attempt To Meet Beyonce

Seth Rogen is one of the most famous people on earth, but you know who’s even more famous? Beyonce. The actor and filmmaker has been making the rounds, promoting his new tome, Yearbook, and he’s done everything from telling behind-the-scenes stories to slamming Ted Cruz (again). On top of it all he also has a pretty hilarious Beyonce story.

Rogen spilled the beans on E! News’ Daily Pop (as per Entertainment Weekly), recounting the time he saw her while presenting at the Grammys. (It appears to be the 2011 edition.) He saw her with Gwyneth Paltrow and he likely figured it wouldn’t be too big a deal if he just walked up to her, unannounced.

“And I charged over. Instinct took over,” he said. But one of her employees wasn’t having it. “I was hit so hard by her security guard that I spilled a drink. I was drinking a screwdriver, which is a bad drink. I deserved what I got.” He added, “I was humiliated and I didn’t get to meet Beyonce.”

What’s worse, he still had to present an award. And so he held his arms in what he called “a very weird position,” to obscure the spilled screwdriver on his clothes.

It’s a tale Rogen’s told before, both on Jimmy Kimmel back in 2019 and again in Yearbook, which is a collection of anecdotes and personal essays. When telling the tale to Kimmel, he said he’d learned his lesson about storming up to other famous people, especially if they’re Beyonce Knowles.

“So I was wary of going near her because I look like someone who you would want to keep away from Beyoncé in general,” Rogen said. “I waited for her to approach me, which they teach you. She was very nice and my beard actually got stuck in her sequin a little bit. If you look closely, you’ll see some gray hair on her shoulder.”

The two would eventually share the screen, sort of: They both appeared as voices in the 2019 “live-action” (but still CGI) remake of The Lion King.

Noah “40” Shebib Voices Support For Palestine, Amidst Israel’s Bombing Of Gaza

Drake’s long-time producer at OVO Sound, Noah “40” Shebib, put out a statement in support of Palestine on Instagram, Sunday, amidst a weeks-long bombing of Gaza by Israel that has resulted in the deaths of at least 192 people, including 58 children and 34 women. Over 1,200 others have been wounded.

40 recommends his followers check out the documentary, Al-Nakba: The Palestinian Catastrophe, which examines the history of Israel and the displacement of 750,000 Palestinians:

I hate making these posts. It’s like a big deja vu that has been reoccurring my entire life and beyond. So what I’ll say is that “Al-Nakba: The Palestinian catastrophe” is an incredible documentary on YouTube that can help everyone understand the Palestinian struggle. I will also say that I recognize I’m making this comment from a country that is a colonial state. This is a world issue #landback

As Hamas militants attempt to fire rockets into Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says an end to the bombing of Gaza is not imminent.

Israel has reported 10 dead, including two children during the last week of violence.

Saturday, Israel Defense Forces leveled a high-rise building in Gaza, which housed The Associated Press and Al-Jazeera, claiming that it was being used by Hamas intelligence offices.

AP President and CEO Gary Pruitt released a statement saying he is “shocked and horrified” by the bombing.

He added: “We have had no indication Hamas was in the building or active in the building. This is something we actively check to the best of our ability. We would never knowingly put our journalists at risk.”

The United Nations Security Council is set to convene, Sunday, to discuss the hostilities.

Kevin Hart Criticizes Joe Budden For Rory & Mal Drama: “It’s Poor Leadership”

Joe Budden and his former podcast co-hosts Rory and Mal have had a pretty rocky relationship since it was revealed a few months ago that they were no longer regular hosts of the podcast. They eventually returned for a reunion episode and things seemed to be on good terms at the time.

Budden has come under intense scrutiny by the public in the days following his hasty firing of Rory and Mal on the spot. He claims that his co-hosts were trying to audit him despite not having any actual ownership of the show, although the duo insists they were trying to ensure they were being paid fairly. Like many other Internet users, Kevin Hart chimed in on the drama, calling Joe Budden “an example of poor leadership,” among other things, for his handling of the situation.

Hart took some time to air out his feelings regarding the drama on his Straight From The Hart series. “I actually was a supporter of the progression of him and his podcast. From afar. I’m a fan of your growth, I’m a fan of what you’re doing and the conversation behind it. It’s dope. He’s not doing business here, he wants to own it, he wants to control it, that’s dope,” began Hart.

“But to see you publically sh*t on the guys that was with you, that’s an example of poor leadership. That’s an example of why you are where you are. This is why. Here’s the answer. Point blank,” criticized the comedian.

“You wanna be by yourself, you wanna be King. You can’t do that. You can’t do that. Wealth should be shared, not owned. Facts. So this is a shoutout to Rory and Mal, you guys were dope as f*ck at that job, once again I was a fan of that f*cking podcast. It’s a sad day to see this sh*t end when you guys were on your way to what seems to be higher levels of success.

I won’t sit up here and promote the negativity, wish there was a world where you could work it out. But you need a good f*cking leader that understands it’s not just him. I don’t think Joe has that. I also don’t like the firing on air,” added Hart.

“Well, it’s a podcast so it wasn’t live, right?” asked another person. “Nah, he was on air and went on a rant and basically told him that because he wasn’t there, he was in breach and he was fired as of that moment,” explained another. Check out Kevin’s full analysis of the situation above.
