NFL Hopeful Juantarius Bryant Fooled By Fake Invitation To Try Out For Atlanta Falcons

When opportunities come knocking for athletes who are hoping to go pro, it’s not unheard of for them to jump at them. Last week, Juantarius Bryant reportedly jumped at the opportunity to work out with the Atlanta Falcons and immediately made his way to the team’s practice facility. Unfortunately for him, however, the invitation that he had received was fake.

According to Complex, Bryant was fooled by someone texting him pretending to be Falcons defensive coordinator Dean Pees, and it wasn’t until he pulled up to what he thought was check-in for the Falcons‘ “rookie minicamp” that he realized that he wasn’t actually invited.

After news of his embarrassing situation started to spread, the former defensive back from Austin Peay State University hit Twitter to explain his side of the story.

“It’s most definitely one of the most embarrassing things that has ever happened to me and a very humbling experience,” Bryant said in his statement. “Just want to apologize to everyone and the Atlanta Falcons organization for the mix up. I honestly though tit was a legit opportunity on my end.”

“I do not know or understand why this has happened,” he continued. “But I do know that everything happens for a reason. Yes, this was heart breaking for me, but just another stepping stone that I am not afraid to admit or overcome…I’m still striving, and still in the best shape of my life. When the opportunity presents itself, I will be ready.”

Even though the invitation was fake, at least Juantarius Bryant quickly jumped at the opportunity to prove that he was ready to make a splash in the NFL. Stay tuned for more updates on the NFL hopeful‘s journey.

Rich Homie Quan Drops Another New Single “To Be Worried”

Atlanta-based rapper Rich Homie Quan has managed to stick around the rap game for nearly a decade. Alongside his former Rich Gang partner Young Thug, Rich Homie showed tons of promise as one of the frontrunners of the new age of hip-hop stars from Georgia. While it seems as though the rapper may never reach his full potential in terms of mainstream popularity, he’s still pushing forward and releasing tons of quality new music.

A few weeks ago, Rich Homie returned with his new single “Daily Bread” and he has officially followed it up with another video single, dropping “To Be Worried” on Monday.

In the new song, Rich Homie reflects on Nipsey Hussle’s death, how it has inspired him to move differently, and how he’s simply too rich to be worrying about anybody else’s opinions. If you’re a fan of the rapper, you won’t want to miss out on this one.

Check out the video below.

Quotable Lyrics:

One thing is for certain, I know my opps gon’ get rolled on
Paperwork don’t lie, go find a n***a I done told on
Snitchin’ will get you killed, it’ll get you flipped just like an old phone

Tobe Nwigwe And His Wife Fat Shout Out Their Hometown In The Exuberant ‘Fye Fye’ Video

After taking a little break in the wake of his and Fat’s pregnancy announcement, Tobe Nwigwe and his family return in the elaborate, exuberant video for “Fye Fye.” Debuting the video exclusively on Facebook, Tobe and the gang turn all the way up while representing South West Alief, Texas (aka SWAT, aka “WEEEEEST”), again donning their matching uniforms and employing a small army of dancers on a local outdoor basketball court.

This time around, Tobe’s flow reaches a register normally reserved for college basketball fans after winning a championship game as he shouts out his hometown — literally — and asserts his realness over yet another domineering, bass-heavy production from Lanell Grant. Fat herself appears midway through the video to run rampant all over the beat, proclaiming her toughness, wit, and loyalty as she and the bun in her oven bop along. “I ain’t Kim,” she shouts to close her verse. “Tob’ can’t never go Kanye!”

2021 looks to be a big year for the Nwigwe family. Not only was Tobe booked for The Roots’ 2021 Jam Session in March (with kids and wife in tow, as per usual), he also made his television debut with a performance of “Eat” on JImmy Kimmel Live! Tobe’s always been about progressing with every move, so his next one is sure to be even bigger.

J. Cole’s Triumphant ‘Amari’ Video Literally Sets The Booth On Fire

J. Cole’s new album The Off-Season has only been out for three days but it’s already trending toward being one of the top-selling releases of the year so far. This is despite a rollout that only included two singles before the album’s release, neither of which received a music video. Today, the first video for The Off-Season arrived, and rather than being for either “The Climb Back” or “Interlude,” J. Cole instead released a video for the album’s second track “Amari,” which is named for his Dreamville labelmate Bas’s nephew.

We don’t know yet whether “Amari” is the video that Cole shot in January as he crossed off his to-do list ahead of “The Fall-Off,” but the video is an eye-catching collection of shots in which Cole flies a helicopter (sort of), reflects on his dorm-to-mansion come-up, and literally sets “the booth” on fire.

Aside from the “Amari” video, Cole’s unusual album rollout also included a documentary, Applying Pressure, a cover story in Slam in whch he denied that he’s preparing for retirement, an incendiary freestyle for the LA Leakers radio show, and most unusually of all, a surprise signing to the Basketball Africa League’s Rwanda team, where he scored three points in his debut game.

Sada Baby Taps Into His Techno Roots Again On ‘Little While’ With Big Sean And Hit-Boy

Up-and-coming Detroit rapper Sada Baby has been on the rise since his 2018 record “Bloxk Party” went viral, securing him a record deal and the attentions of such luminaries as Big Sean and Nicki Minaj. The latter featured on a remix of his TikTok-favorite 2020 track “Whole Lotta Choppas,” and Sean included him on the hometown-praising “Friday Night Cypher” from Detroit 2.

Capitalizing on these connections, Sada Baby released yet another Big Sean collaboration today, the Hit-Boy-produced “Little While.” Like “Whole Lotta Choppas,” it employs a techno-influenced beat that taps into his Motor City roots while offering an upbeat departure from his usual gritty sound. In an interview with Apple Music, he explained the intentions behind the beat choice.

“I’m the type of artist that likes to dance and just give the energy through the music,” he elaborated. “So songs like ‘Whole Lotta Choppas,’ and this one are intentionally made for people to have fun. I feel like I do those with ease. I have a lot of them, but I never wanted that to be my main thing. That’s what people expect from you.”

He also said hearing Detroit 2 prompted him to scrap his entire debut album and start over. “Me hearing his album made me scrap everything that I had, as far as [how] we’re going to structure these songs and then put them into the album,” he said. “So nope. I scrapped it and set up fresh studio time in LA to start from scratch.” He says he’s now three weeks away from completing the recording process, leaving him with enough material for three planned mixtapes next year as well.

Scarlett Johansson & Florence Pugh Star In Exhilarating “Black Widow” Clip

The Marvel Cinematic Universe hasn’t suffered many flubs and long-term delays since its awe-inspiring run began in 2008 with the release of Ironman. However, the COVID-19 pandemic was probably the only hurdle that was able to temporarily derail the massive superhero franchise. Thus, the MCU’s highly anticipated “Phase Four” and its first film, Black Widow, were significantly pushed back.

Following the high from Marvel’s recent streaming hits WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter SoldierBlack Widow set to finally release this summer. In addition to Scarlett Johansson reprising her role as Natasha Romanoff, actors such as Florence Pugh, David Harbour, and O. T. Fagbenle will make appearances in the film as well.

According to Complex, Marvel Studios shared an exciting new clip from the long-awaited standalone film during the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday night, and it reportedly aired soon after Johansson accepted her Generation Award.

The high-octane footage finds Johansson and Pugh’s characters in a high-speed car chase when an unknown motorcycle-riding assailant opens fire on the sisters. In addition to offering insight as to the villain(s) that Johansson’s character will be facing throughout Black Widow, the new clip also gives a glimpse of the on-screen chemistry between Johansson and Pugh.

Black Widow will finally hit theatres (and Disney+ with Premier Access) on July 9, but in the meantime, check out the action-packed teaser footage below.

Consequence Claps Back At Mal: “Ya’ll Got ROBBED By Your Own Guy”

Following their unceremonious removal from The Joe Budden Podcastformer co-hosts Rory and Mal recently reunited to share their respective sides to the story. It was evident that emotions were high, as Mal seemed particularly rankled by what he believed to be a serious betrayal from Budden. In a clip that has since gained traction, Mal recalls a time when he protected Budden from Consequence after fisticuffs broke out.

“I’ve gotten Joe out of situations that could have been bad for him,” explains Mal. “Really bad for him. I frontline that. Me. When that shit happened with Consequence, my man popped on Cons. No disrespect to Cons. But that was my homie. That was my homie that front-lined that…But now you trying to play it like I was some flunkie sleeping on the couch like you found me on the corner and gave me a roof? Who the fuck you think you talking to?”

Needless to say, Consequence didn’t appreciate Mal bringing his name into the fray, taking to Instagram to issue a warning in return. “I don’t know what the FUCK ni*gas think is going on OVER HERE,” he captions, alongside the clip of an incensed Mal. “Just remember what you said @mal_bytheway. You taking credit for Lining me up then you gon have to Live It now. Joe can’t save you two bitch ass ni*gas cuz he couldn’t save himself. This is disrespectful as FUCK and I am your Senior in the streets & in this music shit. Ask Webb who birthed Joe Budden.”

“Y’all niggas been on my dick for 8 years sending Subs,” he continues, appropriately focusing on the consequences of Mal’s words. “Ya man got SMACKED and yall can’t shake it. But guess what, you realizing he Pussy like I said he was but guess what?!?? I took my motherfucking 5 minutes and ate whatever came with it Meanwhile…Y’all got ROBBED by your own guy. No gun, No knife, No Nothing. My name is not to be mentioned again by ni*gas who ain’t even got they PAPER straight!!!”

It didn’t take long for N.O.R.E. to slide into the comments, all but demanding an eventual Drink Champs appearance. Regardless of whether to not that ever comes to fruition, it’s clear that Consequences has no love for any host of The Joe Budden Podcast, former or otherwise. Check out his message to Mal below.
