Blueface and Calboy Preach “Patience” In Dynamic New Collaboration

Blueface and Calboy may have been crowned XXL Freshman on two separate occasions (2019 and 2020, respectively), but that hasn’t stopped the two artists from linking up for a major collaboration featuring two of the annual cover’s most recent stars. The result is a two-and-a-half-minute joint single titled “Patience.”

“Patience” finds both Blueface and Calboy putting their best foot forward to craft a toxic West Coast jam that definitely exceeds expectations. Calboy’s penchant for catchy melodies seamlessly coalesces with Blueface’s arrogant charm, making for an enjoyable, even if not perfect, track. With the release of “Patience,” it will be interesting to see if Blueface and Calboy’s new collaboration evolves into a full-length project because their balance on wax is surprisingly dynamic.

Check out Blueface and Calboy’s chemistry on “Patience” by scrolling down and watching the single’s official music video.

Quotable Lyrics

I’m so rich I don’t have to plant sh*t (Litty)
Booked a flight before I board because I was bored, b*tch (Rich, rich)
I pull up, make the exit, the entrance (Ha, ha)
I am so toxic I just sent a text to my ex (Why?)
To make sure she not doin’ better ’cause b*tch I’m the best (Best)

Ja Morant’s Dad Didn’t Care For His 47-Point Performance

On Wednesday night, Ja Morant put up an incredible effort against the Utah Jazz. Despite the loss, Morant scored 47 points and put the Jazz on notice as the series heads to Memphis, where the fans are notorious for getting loud when their team is playing well. Morant has been a breath of fresh air for the franchise and when all is said and done, he could very well be the most talented star in franchise history.

Even with all of this in mind, it appears as though Morant’s own father isn’t all that impressed. Tee Morant has notoriously been tough on Ja and it was stated prior to the NBA Draft that Tee was Morant’s biggest doubter at times. Following the 47-point performance, Tee was dismissive of his son’s efforts saying “If he had 60, they would’ve won the game.” This amused Ja who took to Twitter and commented on the situation.

At this point, Ja is used to his father’s sentiments and overall, he finds it to be quite funny. There is no doubt that Morant gets his competitive edge from his father, and as the playoffs go on, it will be interesting to see how Morant responds.

Game 3 will go down tomorrow night at 9:30 PM EST.

88GLAM Kick Off The Summer With “Heaven Can Wait” 3-Pack

Toronto hip-hop duo 88GLAM has officially returned with their new three-pack EP, titled Heaven Can Wait. Announcing the new music two weeks ago, the group comprised of 88 Camino and Derek Wise has been pushing forward following their departure from XO Records, which proved to be pretty controversial. Their split from the label remains pretty confusing but the guys are promising to continue with the heat they brought a few years ago, dropping a three-pack in time for the summer.

The three new songs showcase 88GLAM’s versatility, starting off with a song that features Astroworld-style production before slowing things down with the mid-tempo “Clockwork.” On “Wockstar,” Camino and Derek Wise put their own chopped-up take on a guitar trap loop.

Angling to take over the summer, 88GLAM is getting their fans prepared for even more new music later this year.

Check out Heaven Can Wait below.

Tracklist:

1. Five Stars
2. Clockwork
3. Wockstar

Rick Ross Sued By Concert Promoters Over Missed Show: Report

It looks like Rick Ross is the latest victim of a lawsuit. According to reports, The Miami rapper is being sued by a couple of St. Louis promoters for missing a concert last year.

The rapper was scheduled to appear at the Pageant in St. Louis on Jan. 11, 2020 for a concert, but unfortunately that never happened. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiffs, Antoine Meeks & Orlando Watson, paid Rick Ross $30,000 upfront on October 21st, 2019 and were to pay the other half upon Ross’ arrival, but he never showed. And of course, he kept the first $30,000 he got as a down payment.

The plaintiffs also say they spent $6,000 for the venue, $3,300 on Ross’ travel and accommodations, $4,100 on marketing and promotions and another $25,000 for “production costs.”

The lawsuit alleges the plaintiffs have been damaged more than $74,000 and they want Rick Ross to fork it up. Whether or not they’ll be successful in recouping that money remains to be seen, but its worth the effort. Meeks and Watson’s attorney, Thayer Weaver, says they attempted to reschedule the concert to no success, claiming the rapper ignored calls and pointed out the fact he struggled to track where Ross’ business entities were organized.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Beluga” To Receive Reflective Reboot

When Kanye West came out with the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 in 2016, it was an immediate hit. The very first colorway to be released was the “Beluga” offering which featured a two-toned grey upper that featured the infamous zebra stripes all the way throughout. From there, we had a large orange stripe along the side which was noticeable from long distances. This was a shoe that got ripped off by various other brands and you couldn’t walk a mile without seeing fakes on someone’s foot.

With the five-year anniversary of the shoe coming this Fall, it would appear as though it will be making a comeback, this time in a reflective offering. According to Yeezy Mafia, fans can expect the shoe’s grand return to take place amid the Holiday season, with sizes dropping for the entire family. This should be some exciting news for all of the sneakerheads out there, especially when you consider how this shoe was an instant classic upon release.

For now, the exact release date has not been announced, so be sure to keep it locked to HNHH as we will bring you all of the latest information. In the meantime, let us know if this is a shoe you plan on copping.

Russ Reunites With Rexx Life Raj On The Romantic Duet, ‘Private’

Over the years, Russ and Rexx Life Raj have developed an easygoing and prolific creative chemistry, with Rexx appearing on Russ’s “On 10” and Russ returning the favor to appear on Rexx’s Father Figure 3 track “Falling.” Now, it’s back to Russ on the newly released “Private,” which Russ initially planned to release back in 2019 or 2020. However, the breakout success of his song “Best On Earth” with Bia — which caught the attention of Rihanna, among others — meant pivoting to work that record instead. Fortunately, as an independent artist, Russ is completely in control of his own release schedule.

The previously shelved song has a light melody, employing soft organs and keys as the backdrop for a romantic entreaty on which Russ raps and Raj sings, wisely splitting their shared talents between them to avoid cluttering up the track. It works as their prior collaborations have because it plays to both artists’ major strength: Emotive storytelling that doesn’t feel forced or corny — as seen on Russ tracks like “Hard For Me” and “Bankrupt” and Rexx Life singles “Built For Everything” and “Your Way” with Kehlani.

While Russ hasn’t mentioned any new projects in the works, he’s clearly got a backlog of strong songs just waiting for a home — even if he’s never truly embraced a traditional release format. Meanwhile, Rexx just released a three-song set of his own, which you can check out here.

Lil Nas X, Demi Lovato, And Others Helped Pay Tribute To Elton John At The 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards

Elton John has achieved a lot during his lengthy and illustrious career, so he was a natural choice to be given the iHeartRadio Icon Award at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards last night. iHeartRadio went all out with honoring the legend, too, as they pulled out all the stops.

The award was presented to John by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, who ran through some comedic fake facts about John. Lil Nas X then joined in to pay tribute. After the award presentation, there was a tribute performance from Demi Lovato, HER, and Brandi Carlile. HER started by playing “Bennie And The Jets’ at a piano, when then segued into Carlile performing “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me.” Lovato wrapped things up with a rendition of “I’m Still Standing,” and John himself even joined in during the song’s climax.

Ahead of the performances, John also gave an acceptance speech and thanked the aforementioned artists for paying tribute to him. He also spoke about how stunned he was by American radio early in his career, saying, “When I first came to Los Angeles in 1970, radio was so important. I’d never heard radio in America before because I had never been here before, but it was just incredible to me. In England, we had one station. Over here, you’d have music coming out of the radio in all sorts of formats, all sorts of styles… I was a pig in sh*t, basically.”
