Travis Scott Releases Merch For His New CACTI Spiked Seltzer Brand

Travis Scott is very clearly one of the most coveted artists for brands to go after when they’re looking to do a joint venture. The native Texan has already collaborated Nike, Bape, Helmut Lang, and even McDonalds. He’s recently stepped into the realm of alcoholic beverages, launching his CACTI Agave Spiked Seltzer drink on March 15, which has already caused a fair share of frenzy around LA supermarkets. In concurrence with the debut of the drink in collaboration with Anheuser-Busch, the Astroworld artist has released a line of merch.

The line consists of items ranging from traditional shirts, socks, and hoodies, to more interesting items like koozies and soccer balls. The items are live on the beverage’s site

CACTI contains 7% ABV and comes in three flavors: strawberry, lime, and pineapple. A commercial for the brand aired during the Grammys over the weekend, which built anticipation for the beverage’s official release.

“Finally getting Cacti out into the world and into the hands of fans is a surreal moment for me and the team,” Scott said in a statement about the brand. “This has been something I had a strong vision for and have wanted to do for a while. It was important to me to be heavily involved in the entire creative process; from the flavor obviously, to the can design, packaging and the entirety of the brand world we’ve built.”

Travis sent fans into a frenzy when he stopped by a number of different grocery stores in Los Angeles to promote the drink, being swarmed at a Pavillion in West Hollywood.

Kodak Black Co-Signs Fan’s Claim That He Inspired Jay-Z’s Hair

Jay-Z has been letting his hair grow during the quarantine, showing off his latest look on multiple occasions this weekend at the Grammy Awards. He’s been sporting a look that’s likely inspired by one of Hov’s favorite artists, Jean-Michel Basquiat, but there’s a certain rapper that seemingly believes that he’s the one that the legend is modeling his hair journey after.

In the last few weeks, Kodak Black has been coming after a number of artists, asking for them to credit him as the main inspiration behind some of their biggest career successes. We’ve witnessed a short-lived feud between Kodak and Pooh Shiesty, with Yak claiming that he started the money-spreading trend that Pooh has participated in. On Tuesday, the Project Baby also came after Megan Thee Stallion, stating that the Grammy-winning artist made her entire career off stealing one of his catchphrases, “let me drive the boat”. Apparently, Kodak even thinks that he’s influenced the great Jay-Z, co-signing a fan’s claim that Hov’s new hairstyle can be linked to the rapper.

Instagram

“@kodakblack done even inspired jayz,” reads the latest post on Kodak’s Instagram Story. The words were co-signed by the rapper, who found them via a fan. “Check Fam hair out.”

The picture is from the Grammy Awards, showing Jay-Z seated with his wife Beyoncé on her historic night. His hair is well-manicured in all directions, reminding the fan of Kodak’s own look.

Do you think Jay-Z got inspiration from Kodak Black? Or is he just going with the flow and letting his hair grow without any influences?

Polo G, Lil Tjay, & Fivio Foreign Line Up A “Headshot”

Though the posse cut used to be a major hip-hop staple, it has seemingly fallen out of favor with the modern audience. That’s not to say it’s altogether extinct, but the days of lyricists lining up to spar on wax feels like a bygone era. Still, there are certainly exceptions. A recent announcement indicates that we’re looking at a new collaboration from a trifecta of today’s top rising artists — Polo G, Lil Tjay, and Fivio Foreign — who are joining forces for the upcoming single “Headshot.”

All three contributing artists made sure to promote the upcoming track on their respective Instagram pages, with Tjay vowing that they were “SHAKING SHIT UP AGAIN.” Polo G added that “Headshot” will be “nothing but [fire], while Fivio teases that all three rappers “went crazy” for the occasion. With the posse cut set to drop this coming Friday, we won’t have to wait much longer to hear this one in full — predictions of who’ll hold it down with the standout verse are already underway.

It should be noted that all three parties are steadily working on new albums, all of which should be out at various points this year. It’s unclear as to whether or not “Headshot” will appear on one or all of the forthcoming projects. Either way, the fact that we’re receiving a single from Tjay, Polo, and Fivio so soon likely indicates that a rollout will follow shortly thereafter. Check back this Friday for the release of “Headshot,” and sound off if you think this will be a solid posse cut from the new generation.

Wendy Williams Faces Instant Karma Over Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Rumors

Call it aging… or call it bad karma… call it whatever, but Wendy Williams was in the midst of spreading some messy rumors about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s divorce when her body took control, allegedly simultaneously belching and farting on her talk show, getting picked up by all of the nearby microphones.

They say that, as you start to get older, you have a harder time holding your bladder or controlling your bodily functions. Famed talk show host Wendy Williams might have something to say about that because, during a recent episode of her show, where she spoke about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s reported divorce, Wendy seemingly couldn’t contain herself, letting out a belch and a toot at the same time, apologizing directly after.

Wendy was in the midst of spreading rumors about Kim Kardashian, saying that the businesswoman probably already have five different boyfriends after splitting with Kanye West. While early reports initially suggested that she could be seeing Van Jones, nothing came from that and the speculation eventually dropped off. Kim has not been linked to any romantic suitors in weeks. Directly after saying that Kim probably has a gaggle of men leaving her house every day, Wendy let out a loud burp and fart simultaneously, apologizing to her audience as the second-hand embarrassment rose in the room.

To make matters worse, this isn’t even the first time that Wendy has been accused of letting one rip on television. Last year, she lightly lifted her leg before a flatulent sound escaped from her chair. Summer Walker even commented on the video at the time.

Lil’ Kim Pens Heartfelt Congrats To Megan Thee Stallion & Beyoncé For Making Grammy History

Both Megan thee Stallion and Beyoncé were among the big winners of the night, with Queen Bey becoming the most awarded women in awards show history after earning her 28th Grammy, and the Houston Hottie winning the coveted Best New Artist category. The ladies also made Grammy history by becoming the first pair of women to win the best rap performance category for their remix of Megan thee Stallion’s quarantine hit “Savage.” Trailblazer and rap veteran Lil’ Kim took to Instagram to pen a special congratulations to the pair for their monumental win.

Sharing a lighthearted snap of Bey and Meg the moment they took the stage to accept their award, Kim began, “SCREAMING CONGRATULATIONS‼️ To my 2 beautiful Queens ‼️”

She continued by first addressing Megan, letting her know how proud she is to see her take off this way. “I have watched how hard you worked since you stepped on the scene consistent with your work and your love. You are an amazing talent,” she gushed.

“Always keep your head to the sky and know you have made your Mommy proud! You deserve it all! May God continue to bless you,” she finished.

She addressed her “Queen Bee Soul Sister” Beyoncé next. ” I love you sooo much,” she wrote. “We came up together and as hard as I saw you work I always knew there was something special about you. You worked so hard to get to where you are and I knew that one day everything that you accomplished would be rewarded.”

You deserve every bit of recognition that you receive and thank you for inspiring all women to be independent and strong. You are EVERYTHING. Thanks for my little screen time 😂 and including me with all of the strong women in the industry and always showing me love!! I love you BEYONDsay my Queen, Congratulations on making HISTORY,” she concluded.

Megan thanked Kim for the kind words in the comments, showing solidarity between the ladies of hip-hop we hopefully will continue to see.

Congrats to Megan and Bey again on making history!

Tucker Carlson Is So Worried That ‘WAP’ Will ‘Hurt Our Children’ That He Played Nearly The Entire Grammys Performance

Instead of responding to John Oliver calling him a “performatively outraged wedge salad,” Tucker Carlson returned to one of his favorite subjects during Monday’s episode of Tucker Carlson Tonight: “WAP” (it does not stand for “white angry pundit”). He’s just concerned for the children! Carlson first covered the Billboard-topping Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion single back in August, calling it “garbage” and “crap,” but he railed against it again following the Grammys. This time, he tied it back to “cancel culture.”

After showing a clip from the Grammys performance, Carlson sneered, “No more Dumbo. It’s too filthy. We get that instead.” (I’m not sure the issue with Dumbo is that it’s “filthy”…) After bring in Candace Owens, he added, “It is hard not to conclude that they are actively trying to degrade our culture and hurt our children.” Owens, who has a history with Cardi B, agreed with Carlson, calling “what we were looking at last night… a lesbian sex scene being simulated on television, and this is considered feminist.”

“I agree with you 100 percent in the assessment that this feels more sinister. This is starting to me to seem like it’s not even left or right, it’s not a political issue. This seems like an attack on American values, American traditions, and you’re actually actively trying to make children aspire to things that are grotesque,” Owens said, adding: “We are celebrating perversity in America.”

The best part of the segment, outside of Owens’ faux outage over Mr. Potato Head, is that despite the conservative commenters calling “WAP” the “destruction of American values,” footage from Cardi and Megan’s performance played over and over again. It’s objectively very funny to see Carlson’s befuddled face next to this:

Carlson summed up his thesis with: “Totally degrading. And the same people who make it will lecture you about ‘you hate women’ or something. Who hates women, really?” You can watch the segment here.

Drake Offers Major Praise For Bow Wow: ‘If It Wasn’t For You, There Wouldn’t Be No Me’

It was revealed yesterday that Drake has done something that no other artist before him ever has: He had three songs — “What’s Next,” “Wants And Needs” featuring Lil Baby, and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” with Rick Ross, aka the entirety of the Scary Hours 2 EP — simultaneously debut in the top three spots of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. That’s cause for celebration and Drake did so by shouting out another rapper who he credits as a major inspiration: Bow Wow.

After receiving the news, Drake decided to have a “1 2 3” party, which had everything from 1-, 2-, and 3-shaped balloons to a cake that had the top 10 of the Hot 100 chart printed on it. He shared some videos of the shindig on his Instagram Stories, including a clip of him and Bow Wow playfully chatting with each other and the camera. In another clip, he said of Bow Wow, “I had to link with Wizzle. Everybody wants to have drinks and everybody wants to celebrate and turn up and, you know, I just had to see Wizzle. I had to see Wizzle in person. If it wasn’t for you, there wouldn’t be no me. That’s why I’mma rock with y’all forever.”

Check out some clips of Drake’s celebration below.
