Giannis Antetokounmpo On Media’s Lack Of Bucks Coverage: “I Just Want To Be Left Alone”

The Milwaukee Bucks have now won 11 of their last 12 games and have moved up to 3rd in the Eastern Conference, but star Giannis Antetokounmpo says the national media is not giving them the attention they deserve. He explained that he actually prefers the lack of coverage following the Bucks’ 120-113 win over the San Antonio Spurs, Saturday.

“We don’t play for people to talk about us. I kind of like it. I just want to be left alone. I never liked bright lights,” Antetokounmpo told reporters. “I never liked people talking about us. It just adds pressure to me and my teammates to come in and do what we do. I kind of like to be under the radar and we just come in, enjoy one another, enjoy playing basketball and we’re just getting the job done. But, yeah, there’s gonna be times they’re gonna talk about us, there’s gonna be times they’re not gonna talk about us, but personally, as I said, I just like being under the radar.”

The reigning MVP was on a tear on Saturday, finishing with 26 points, 15 assists, and 8 rebounds. The Bucks are now just two games out of first place in the Eastern Conference Standings.

The NBA Playoffs are set to start on May 22nd.

Lil Baby Seeks A Basketball Rematch Against Jack Harlow And Quavo: ‘Give Me Three Months’

Earlier this month, Lil Baby was the talk of Twitter and it wasn’t because of his music. During the NBA’s All-Star Weekend, the rapper joined 2 Chainz for a pickup basketball game against Jack Harlow and Quavo as a part of Bleacher Report’s “Open Run.” Despite Lil Baby’s claims that a “guy like Jack Harlow” would be unable to beat him in the game, the matchup turned out to be an easy one for Quavo and Harlow, as they took home the win by a score of 21-7. Lil Baby had quite the underwhelming performance, from a pretty bad free throw attempt to a few air-balled shots. Despite this, he’s calling for a second chance.

The rapper shared a video of him practicing some shots before the pickup game earlier this month. “Give me three months Im setting one of [these] up,” he captioned the video. “Y’all got [me] f*cced up.” In it, viewers can see the rapper making a couple of baskets, so it’s completely possible that his performance in the “Open Run” game was just a case of bad luck.

Until the rematch is confirmed, the next thing fans of Lil Baby can expect from him is one of two projects: his Lamborghini Boys tape, which will only feature rappers who own a Lamborghini, and The Voice Of The Hero, his joint tape with Lil Durk.

Jack Harlow is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Fat Joe Responds To Criticism About Anti-Asian Remarks He Made In A Song

Fat Joe found himself in a bit of controversy following a verse he did on Benny The Butcher’s new project, The Plugs I Met 2. On a song titled “Talkin’ Back,” the rapper said, “Track me in and out of court, Harvey Weinstein / Threw that white up in the pot, gave ’em pipe dreams / And watch it spread like the Wuhan virus / Do ’em dirty for the low like Wu-Tang ’Sirus.”

In the less than two days that passed since the song’s release, a number of listeners have hopped on Twitter to share their displeasures with the song. On Sunday, Fat Joe explained the verse in a tweet.

“I’ll adress the Benny verse i did that verse a year ago when the news was calling it the wuhan virus before they called it COVID i support and love all my asian brothers and sisters never hate,” he said in the post. The mention of the “Wuhan virus” is a poor and insensitive coronavirus reference, and with the song dropping amid the recent rise in anti-Asian attacks, it’s no surprise that fans were not happy with Fat Joe’s verse. The Harvey Weinstein name-drop was another reason the song faced criticism as he is currently serving a 23-year sentence on sexual assault and rape charges.

Donald Trump Reportedly Returning To Social Media With New Site Soon

Former President Donald Trump, who was banned from a myriad of social media sites earlier this year, is reportedly getting ready to launch his own platform within the next few months, his long-time adviser, Jason Miller, told Fox News on Sunday. Miller boasted that the site is expected to attract “tens of millions” of new users and “completely redefine the game.”

“This is something that I think will be the hottest ticket in social media,” Miller told Fox’s Howard Kurtz. “It’s going to completely redefine the game, and everybody is going to be waiting and watching to see what President Trump does, but it will be his own platform.”

“This new platform is going to be big,” Miller added. “Everyone wants him and he’s going to bring millions and millions — tens of millions — to this platform.”

Trump was initially banned from Twitter for his role in inciting the riot at the Capitol Building on January 6th, 2020. Numerous other social media sites quickly followed suit.

The incident also led to Trump’s second impeachment, but the former President was later acquitted by the U.S. Senate, following the inauguration of President Joe Biden.

No exact timetable was given for Trump’s new social media platform, but Miller says he expects it to reach the public in “about two or three months.”

Berner & Tunde Connect For Their New Project “They Land Better In Manchester”

Berner truly is one of the hardest working men in the rap game right now. He spends countless hours in the studio and just as many growing the Cookies brand into a globally renowned cannabis empire. But even with the many hustles, music still remains his forefront and he’s known for releasing more music than most.

This week, the rapper returned with his first drop of the year. Teaming up with Tunde, the two rappers connect for They Land Better In Manchester. The project is six tracks in total with a run time of a little over 21 minutes. Though a short project, Cozmo, G.T., and Aystar make cameos across the tracklist.

CHIKA Drags Perez Hilton For Misgendering Her: ‘You’re Literally Our B*tch”

CHIKA’s social media presence is somewhat refreshing. The XXL Freshman and Grammy nominee often uses the Twi platform to directly address critics, fans, and even to condemn fellow artists for problematic behavior. Once again proving that she’s not the one to think twice about expressing her honest opinion, the 24-year-old artist absolutely destroyed celebrity gossip hound Perez Hilton for his alleged fake love he’s been showing her.

On Saturday (March 20), CHIKA flamed Hilton for using her recently released Once Upon A Time single “Cinderella Pt. 2” without crediting her at all. “i distinctly remember perez hilton purposely misgendering me on here a couple years ago,” she tweeted. “but now his bitch ass is playing cinderella (pt. 2) on his IG story without crediting me.”

In a since-deleted tweet, Hilton attempted to clap back at CHIKA with a sarcastic retort.  “Misgendering someone is assigning or referring the wrong gender to a person. I never gendered you. So the stupid one is you. Hey, at least you’re stupid and making some money now. Xoxo,” wrote the king of gossip.

This sent CHIKA off on a rant about his problematic action. “1.) Saying he/she, even to someone whose gender you don’t know is wrong. Esp bc nonbinary and agender people exist. Which is why the majority of the intelligent population says ‘they.’ You adhered to the binary because you wanted to offend me, and that’s clear, doofus,” she began.

She continued, “2.) You, yourself, as the fucking anal polyp you are have admitted to me you knew who I was PRIOR to ‘not gendering me.’ It was clear that I am a woman. But you trying to be cute actually showed your transphobia live and in stereo. You wanted to defeminize a Black woman.”

She finally went on to put Hilton into a body bag. “You are the cancer of an industry that will make my family wealthy,” she added. “CRY about it. NEXT time you address me, put some fuckin respect on it. Because the people who before me MADE you … what a waste of an existence. I hope you’re proud. Oops, I almost forgot. Bitch. Now I’m done. Have fun struggling to read this.”

Quavo Divulges On Ownership Role With Fan Controlled Football

Quavo is going through quite a bit of personal drama right now although that hasn’t stopped him from engaging in some big business moves. As it stands, Migos are looking to come through with Culture 3 and when it comes to entrepreneurship, Quavo is doing plenty of big things. For instance, the artist is now a part-owner in the Fan Controlled Football league, which has been streaming games over the past few weeks and big names like Johnny Manziel and Josh Gordon are a part of the league.

Recently, Quavo was in the booth for a match where he was asked about what the experience has been like and how he feels about the league. As Quavo noted, it’s all been a blast, although there is one thing holding the league back.

“I love this man, this is something new,” Quavo said. “I love to be a part of something new and fresh. This is a new beginning and I can’t wait to see this whole thing filled up with fans because that’s the only thing missing right now.”

Fan Controlled Football continues to impress and its entire format is completely changing the way the game of football is looked at. While some may still be skeptical, there are tons of reasons to be excited about this league that bases all of its plays on what the fans want.
