Lil Durk Reveals Why He Won’t Be On Kanye West’s New Album

Lil Durk is a big fan of Kanye West, recreating some of the music legend’s most iconic looks for his “Kanye Krazy” video earlier this year. The Chicago native would jump at anything to be featured on an upcoming album from his idol but it seems as though he narrowly missed his chance to be included on LP10

As information continues to leak out surrounding the mysterious release of Kanye West’s next album, which he previewed this weekend during a live listening session in Las Vegas, the rapper’s rumored feature list has been shared online, including names like Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Griselda, Baby Keem, Playboi Carti, and Post Malone. Unfortunately, Lil Durk wasn’t mentioned on the list, and the rapper has officially explained why he was left off the final tracklist, revealing that he had a chance but was omitted because he missed his flight.

After sharing Justin LaBoy’s assessment of the new album, DJ Akademiks reposted Lil Durk’s comment on the post, which reads, “I missed the jet [upset face] well next album.”

Kanye is a master at changing his albums at the very last moment. He’s done so on almost all of his recent releases — do you think he might find a spot for Lil Durk before LP10 drops?

Kanye West Album Features Allegedly Leaked: Lil Baby, Travis Scott, & More

Yeezy Season is rapidly approaching. This weekend was filled with news regarding Kanye West’s upcoming tenth studio album, which kicked off with a listening party in Las Vegas. Instagram personality Justin LaBoy also revealed that Kanye personally played the album for him and Kevin Durant this weekend, hyping up several songs, including one with Lil Baby. As more information gets released about the potential release of Kanye’s next album, including news of another upcoming listening session in Atlanta, some sources are revealing a list of features that are allegedly associated with the project.

According to witnesses in attendance at the Las Vegas listening party, Kanye West’s LP10, which was previously titled DONDA, will feature Lil Baby, Griselda, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Post Malone, Baby Keem, and more. The song with Lil Baby appears to be the previously-teased “Hurricane.” Some people have said that this is Kanye’s most production-driven album yet, hyping up the sonic structure of LP10. The same sources have claimed that there are multiple interludes from Kanye’s late mother, Donda West, which break up the album into three parts. As we wait for the album’s release, we’ll see if that ends up being the case.

In addition to the feature list going around, Tyler, The Creator was also recently spotted in the studio with Kanye, possibly jumping on a song with him at the last minute. A whiteboard during their studio session seemingly hinted at what the final tracklist could look like.

Kanye’s pastor previously confirmed an event happening this Thursday in Atlanta for the album’s release. The masked rapper will reportedly be playing the project for a whole new group of people, gauging how they react to each song ahead of the general release.

We’ll keep you posted on more information as it’s revealed. Who’s excited for new music from Kanye West?

Team USA Never Made An Offer To Julius Randle: Report

Team USA reportedly never made an offer to Knicks star big-man Julius Randle, amidst struggles at the center position and disappointing losses to Nigeria and Australia. Earlier this week, the team announced they’d be bringing in JaVale McGee and Keldon Johnson.

The New York Post reports that the All-NBA second team power forward was snubbed because the team was searching for a true shot blocker and felt he wasn’t it. The two positions opened after Bradley Beal was made ineligible due to COVID-19 and Kevin Love dropped out with a calf injury.

“We decided that was the most logical and appropriate choice,’’ Team USA coach Gregg Popovich said of adding McGee on Sunday night. “Given the choices we had, he fit the best.”

“[Johnson] just played a really solid basketball game — a very, very good night,’’ Popovich added.

Randle put together the best season of his career in 2020, averaging 24.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 6.0 assists, while leading the Knicks to their first playoff appearance since 2013.

Comparatively, McGee averaged 7.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 0.8 assists last season. He did, however, average 1.1 blocks per game while Randle only recorded 0.3.

Despite not adding Randle, Team USA secured a much-needed win, Sunday night, after beating Spain 83-76. The Tokyo Olympics are set to begin on July 23th and run through August 8th.
