Of course, the announcement arrived amid rampant rumors that the femcee was expecting. Regardless, she was immediately flooded with supportive messages.

Since the announcement, Cardi hasn’t said much, though she appears to be in good spirits. Earlier today, she took to X to reveal that she’s relieved to have let the cat out of the bag. According to her, this is because she can now wear whatever she wants. “I’m so happy y’all know I’m [pregnant],” she wrote. “Now I can stop wearing those deum school girl skirts lmaoooooo.” Fans can’t blame her for wanting to switch things up after keeping her pregnancy under wraps, and can’t wait to see what creative looks she comes up with to complement her growing belly.

Lil Wayne’s Handwritten Song Lyrics Go On Sale For $5 Million After Legal Battle

Back in 2019, autograph dealers Moments In Time listed one of Lil Wayne’s old notebooks on sale for $250K. Reportedly, it contains lyrics to tracks like “I Feel” and “We On Fire,” likely written when Weezy was still a teenager. According to the man who discovered the notebook, he found it in an old car previously owned by Cash Money Records and decided to store it in his garage.

When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, however, it was nearly destroyed. He returned home to find that it had survived with minimal damage and decided to sell it to anyone willing to part ways with that kind of cash. Lil Wayne eventually caught wind of the listing, and his attorneys sent a warning letter to the man trying to sell the notebook, claiming that the rapper wanted it back.

Moments In Time Defends Massive Price Increase

The man refused, insisting that Wayne would have to buy it from him, as he had “crystal clear title.” Weezy didn’t respond after that, prompting the court to rule in the seller’s favor. Now, after all the fuss, the same notebook is on sale for a whopping $5 million. According to TMZ, Moments In Time justified the massive price increase by noting that Lil Wayne is the GOAT, making his handwritten lyrics from the 90s extremely valuable.

It’d be tough to argue against that, though it’s unclear how the artist feels about someone else cashing in on his original work. What do you think of Lil Wayne’s old lyric notebook going up for sale for $5 million? What about him previously trying to get the notebook back? Kendrick Lamar’s Leaked Verse For Frank Ocean’s “Nights” Has Fans Split

Kendrick Lamar has been making plenty of headlines in recent months for his viral lyrical battle with Drake. He went viral for a far more surprising reason today, however, as one of his scrapped verses recently surfaced. The verse in question was for Frank Ocean’s “Nights,” and is now making its rounds online.

As expected, the verse is pretty raw and seems to showcase Kendrick experimenting to find a direction before recording a final cut. It’s earned mixed reactions from social media users so far, who are sounding off on X. While some think Kendrick really cooked with this one, and are disappointed that it was left off the record, others are relieved it was.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Nights” Verse Surfaces Online

“I fw Kendrick but sometimes this n***a does bullsh*t on instrumentals and make weird a** voices and people swear it’s experimental,” one user writes, “Sh*t sounds horrible.” Another simply says, “No way people are calling this bad.” Obviously, whether or not Kendrick’s verse would have been a good addition to the iconic track is still up for debate.

It remains unclear exactly why the version of “Nights” featuring Kendrick was never formally released. Of course, it’s possible that Ocean simply felt like he had a hit without it, or that the verse didn’t fit in with the rest of Blonde. Either way, supporters are glad to finally get to hear it, if only to know what could have been.

Social Media Users React To Kendrick Lamar’s Leaked “Nights” Verse

Chrisean Rock Reportedly Faces Eight Years In Prison For Drug Charges

Chrisean Rock is currently wrapped up in some serious legal trouble, and it may not come to an end any time soon. The new mother was arrested in June of this year upon entering a San Fernando Valley courtroom. Reportedly, she had a warrant for alleged assault with a deadly weapon. She was there to support Blueface, who’s also currently behind bars. Authorities escorted her off the premises, and she was later sentenced to 30 days in a California jail.

It’s speculated that the warrant stemmed from her run-in with James Wright Chanel at a Tamar Braxton concert last year, though this is unconfirmed. He pressed charges against her in February for allegedly punching him in the face. After her 30-day stay, Chrisean was set to be extradited to Oklahoma, where she’s facing charges for “possession of marijuana with intent to distribute” and “possession of a controlled dangerous substance.”

According to court documents, each of these charges carries a four-year sentence or eight years combined. Of course, it’s to be seen what actually plays out in the Baddies star’s case, but fans are concerned nonetheless. A lot of this concern has to do with Chrisean’s son Chrisean Jr, who’s just under a year old. On top of his mother’s legal issues, his father Blueface has been in jail since January for an alleged probation violation.

He was scheduled to attend a sentencing hearing late last month, but it was pushed back to August 6. Blueface’s mother Karlissa Saffold is confident that he’ll be getting out and even has a party planned to celebrate his return home. Unfortunately, however, his fate is also to be seen. What do you think of Chrisean Rock potentially facing serious time behind bars for her drug charges? Are you worried for her? 50 Cent Reacts To Winning $1 Billion “Power” Lawsuit From Former Drug Kingpin

Recently, AllHipHop reported that 50 Cent came out victorious after his legal battle with former drug kingpin Cory “Ghost” Holland. Holland accused Fif of using his life story, as told on his 2007 CD Blasphemy, as the plot of his hit series Power. He hit him with a $1 billion lawsuit, though the court ultimately sided with 50 Cent.

Now, the mogul has taken to social media to share his reaction to the good news, making it clear that he never had any doubts. “Fool thought he was GHOST😆,” he wrote alongside a story about his latest legal win. “Da fvck wrong wit these 🥷🏾’s man 🤨LOL @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi.”

Judge Analisa Torres ruled that Power never directly refers to Holland, which would be required for a defamation claim. She also said that any similarities between Holland’s life and the plot of the show could be mere coincidences. While the legal battle has now come to a close, things got ugly in the past, as Holland allegedly threatened Fif’s life earlier this year. “If a m*therf*cker gets killed because your m*therf*cking client threaten me and my family, file a m*therf*cking motion for that. I ain’t playing with your m*therf*cking client no more, next time he or anyone he sends pull up, f*ck the litigation,” Holland said.

“50 Cent plays games with people’s lives, he humiliates people, he comes to their homes, then plays a victim. He constantly in somebody mess. Plaintiff has warned 50 Cent, he ain’t no entertainer.” As one would expect, his legal counsel expressed serious concern about the apparent threat and told the court they would notify relevant local authorities. Kanye West Put On Blast Over Allegedly Uncleared “Vultures 2” Sample

Yesterday, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign took fans by surprise by unveiling their eagerly anticipated album, Vultures 2. Previously, it was announced that it would drop on August 2, though fans were skeptical as the announcement was deleted within hours. Just a day later, the duo delivered, though the project has earned mixed reactions so far.

While many are just glad to have gotten something from Ye and Ty, others are demanding changes to the mix. A message on the Yeezy website confirmed last night that “UPDATED SONGS WILL BE PUBLISHED IN REAL TIME,” so it’s to be seen whether or not that will satisfy listeners. This is far from the only Vultures 2 controversy to arise after its release, however.

Swsh Calls Out Ye & Ty Dolla Sign For “530” Sample

Recently, LA-born artist Swsh took to social media to react to praise after being sampled on “530.” According to them, however, they allegedly never cleared the sample. “When people keep thanking you for clearing the sample for Kanye but you literally found out this morning lol,” they wrote alongside a clip of themself shrugging. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like Swsh is too upset. “Much love tho,” their caption reads. Fans are urging them not to pull the track, but think they should request financial compensation at the very least.

Allegedly, Ye has some history with uncleared samples, as he was also put on blast by Donna Summer’s estate following the release of Vultures 1. The estate accused him of sampling her song on “Good (Don’t Die)” without permission and sued him for copyright infringement. Reportedly, the two parties reached a settlement in June. What do you think of Swsh calling out Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign for allegedly not clearing their “530” sample? How are you liking Vultures 2 so far?
