Tyla won her first Grammy before releasing an album, but once her self-titled debut studio album arrived in March, Tyla proved more than worthy of any award. Uproxx’s Wongo Okon reviewed the album and called it “a declaration of the singer’s pop stardom.” The newly released video for “Jump,” a standout Tyla track with Gunna and Skillibeng, reinforces that observation.
Directed by Nabil, the video finds Tyla putting her love for Johannesburg, South Africa on display while recognizing that she has grown into a worldwide figure. “They never had a pretty girl from Joburg,” Tyla sings while Gunna drives her down the street, followed by Tyla dancing on a pool table. “See me now, and that’s what they prefer / I don’t touch no wheel ’cause I got a chauffeur / First class how I get ’round the world.”
Tyla is the center of attention throughout the video, and she can’t be bothered by two men who come crashing through her window to brawl. Eventually, Gunna serenades Tyla in the club, and Skillibeng cooly delivers his verse while Tyla literally halts traffic in order to start a twerk party in the street.
The “Jump” video follows Tyla’s videos for “Truth Or Dare” and “Water (Remix)” with Travis Scott. Tyla debuted at No. 24 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Kanye West’s Old Comments About Diddy Resurface As Cassie Assault Footage Leaks Online
Kanye West is someone who has never been afraid of making some bold accusations. Furthermore, he has no fear when talking about the music industry at large. Although these comments have gotten him into trouble, he continues to speak his mind. In fact, one person that he has taken aim at in the past, is none other than Diddy. In a text message thread, he called the music mogul a “Fed.” Moreover, he had some choice words for Diddy while appearing on Drink Champs a couple of years back.
On Friday, footage of Diddy allegedly assaulting Cassie at a hotel in 2016 was obtained by CNN. This video was published on the network and it subsequently went viral on social media. Overall, there has been a massive outcry and for good reason. Having said that, Kanye’s previous takes on Diddy are resurfacing online. In this clip, Ye calls Diddy a “fed,” yet again. Furthermore, he even goes off on Meek Mill and Diddy for being “fake tough.” It was a scathing rant and speaks to the anger that Kanye had with the industry at the time. Even now, Ye finds himself as an anti-establishment figure. The last time we really heard a rant from him was last year on the night that Vultures 1 was supposed to drop. Either way, it remains clear that Ye has an axe to grind with some of music’s most powerful figures.

50 Cent Once Again Clowns Ja Rule For Knicks Loss
The New York Knicks lost game 7 to the Indiana Pacers at home on Sunday. After sustaining injuries to multiple starters and players playing through injuries, the Knicks did not have enough for the Pacers. Ultimately, they played hard, but luck plays a big part in playoff success, and the Knicks’ injuries were very unlucky. You might remember that at the start of the series, Knicks fans were taken aback by Ja Rule kissing the Larry OBrien Trophy. They said that he cursed the Knicks with his gesture. 50 Cent, Ja Rule’s eternal rival, jumped on the curse bandwagon. He clowned Ja Rule after multiple Knicks were hurt in the game after he Kissed the Trophy.
Ja Rule fired back, though. He, in turn, clowned 50 Cent when his Minnesota Timberwolves lost 3 straight games to the Denver Nuggets, saying 50 cursed Anthony Edwards and the Wolves. Now 50 Cent has had the final word in the who cursed who saga after the Knicks were ultimately eliminated, and the Timberwolves are moving on to the next round. Of course, Curtis Jackson didn’t forget about JaRule cursing the Knicks.

Following the Indiana Pacers’ victory against the New York Knicks in game seven of the 2024 NBA playoffs on Sunday, 50 Cent isn’t stopping with his jabs at Ja Rule. The G-Unit boss teased his longtime rival on social media following the game. 50 Cent said that Ja Rule got his hands on the NBA championship trophy, which is why the Knicks lost. He blamed him for the loss and shared a picture of Ja kissing the Larry O’Brien trophy. “If you’re wondering why the Knicks couldn’t get the W, here you have it,” he wrote on Twitter. He added some shots at the NBA for letting Ja near the trophy, saying, “SMH who let this fool touch the trophy.”
The results say 50 Cent has won this round. The Knicks are now on their way to Cancun, but it’s hard to imagine them enjoying vacation with all those painful injuries. The M Minnesota Timberwolves walked down the defending champs on their own floor and won game 7. The Wolves take on the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday in the Western Conference Finals. Overall, 50 Cent may prove to be a good luck charm for Minnesota.

However, during a recent interview with RealLyfe Productions, Wright claimed that Meek’s ex, Nicki, was the one who leaked this clip and has been sitting on it for a long time.

Lil Yachty Seemingly Deletes Podcast Episode Where He Praised Kendrick Lamar’s Drake Diss
Lil Yachty is easily one of Drake’s best friends in the industry right now. However, Yachty has been coming under fire for some recent comments he made pertaining to the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef. Overall, Yachty was mentioned on the song “Euphoria,” and many were curious how he felt about that. On his A Safe Place Podcast, Yachty revealed that he knew ahead of time that he was going to catch a stray. Moreover, he even praised Kendrick for “Not Like Us,” claiming that the track is an absolute banger.
This subsequently led to a bit of a Twitter war with one of Drake’s Stan accounts. Quite frankly, the Stan accounts for Drake have been unhinged throughout this entire debacle. Yachty found that out the hard way, as he exchanged some words with one of them. In the end, however, it appears as though the Stan account may have won. According to Akademiks, Yachty deleted the most recent episode of his podcast. An exact reason was not given, although the Stan account at the center of all of this has taken responsibility.
