Joel Embiid Intends To Return Before The Playoffs

Joel Embiid has announced his intention to return to the Sixers before the end of the regular season. “That’s the plan. Obviously everything has to go right, as far as getting healthy and being as close as I’m supposed to be. But yeah, that’s the plan,” Embiid told reporters in his first media appearance in a month. The reigning MVP had been far and away the MVP frontrunner until he was sidelined with a leg injury.

Furthermore, Embiid was not focused on the lost accolades but the fact that she went down he was red-hot. “That’s why it was extremely disappointing. Because I was on a roll and I felt like I wasn’t even close to where I wanted to be, body-wise and basketball-wise, because I wasn’t at my best, so I felt like there was still another level that I could go to. It was very disappointing. But I was having fun, playing, getting a lot of wins, dominating,” Embiid lamented.

Joel Embiid Injury Has LeBron James Fuming About The Rest Rule And Media Accountability

LeBron lashed out at media members advocating for the NBA rest rule after it was revealed that Joel Embiid had suffered a torn meniscus. “Where are all the media outlets, tv media personalities, hot takes that talked so much 💩 about Joel Embiid about missing those games when he knew what he was dealing with. Now he’s out with an injury because of it. Not 1 person has went back on tv or their dumbass podcast and apologized to that MAN!! No accountability 🗑🗑🗑,” LeBron wrote in a series of posts on X.

Furthermore, external eyes will be on Embiid for the summer. Embiid formally announced that he will be fighting for a place on the American Olympic basketball team. However, Embiid opted for Team USA after a meeting with executive director Grant Hill in Colorado.

Moreover, he recently answered a fan’s question on Twitter about the “cringiest lyric [he] ever wrote looking back.” “‘Make da p***y drip like a slitted wrist,’” the TDE MC replied on the social media platform. “[Two facepalm emojis] like braH embarrassing.” Of course, any great lyricist has at least a couple of duds on their track record, and it doesn’t take away from his many great bars. But folks are hoping that the 37-year-old doesn’t stoop back down to this level on this new LP.

Jokes aside, there is one person who would’ve definitely called out any weak lines on Blue Lips, and that’s none other than Jay-Z. After expressing his wishes to do so on Twitter -– and after “hip-hop Twitter” called it to action -– ScHoolboy Q was able to play the new album for Hov. Considering their strong bond as collaborators and industry peers, this consistent showing of love should come as no surprise.

Furthermore, the two recently linked up for the music video to their sole collaboration at press time, “Rich Baby Daddy” with SZA off of Drake’s 2023 album For All The Dogs. It was a really cheeky and comical visual treatment, and one that seemed to resonate with die-hards across fanbases. Isaiah Stewart Speaks On Viral Fight, Apologizes To Teammates

Isaiah Stewart has broken his silence on his viral fight with Drew Eubanks. “First and foremost,” he said, “I apologize to my teammates — just the organization. Because I always want to represent the organization in a great fashion. I’m ready to just get back out here,” he said, “and compete and win these games,” Stewart told TMZ. Stewart served a three-game suspension, and was briefly on the hook for an assault charge, for punching Eubanks in the face.

Stewart returned from his suspension earlier this week, scoring 11 points in the Pistons’ win over Chicago. The ninth win of the Pistons’ season, the result snapped a six-game losing streak for Detroit. The team is next in action on Friday against a high-flying Cavaliers team. The Pistons are odds-on favorites to earn the first-overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft. However, while terrible, the Pistons have avoided setting the record for the worst record in NBA history.

Isaiah Stewart, Pistons To Face White-Hot Cavaliers

However, the Cavaliers are coming off a huge performance. Max Strus stunned the NBA on Tuesday night as he hit a half-court buzzer-beater to lead the Cavaliers past the Mavericks. With 2.1 seconds remaining, Strus heaved a shot from 59 feet, barely seeing his shot go in as he was tackled by his teammates. Strus’ shot is the second-longest shot of the three-point era, sitting behind Devonte’ Graham’s 2021 61-footer. However, Strus himself has admitted that this isn’t even the longest shot of his career. “Yeah, at my Division II school, I made a three-quarter-court shot to win the game,” Strus said.

Two of the biggest reactions to Strus’ shot came from outside of Cleveland. “Ain’t no way,” Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes said on X, tagging teammate (and Cleveland native) Travis Kelce. “🗣Straight cash!!! Them boys got the juice right now!! @cavs 🔥🔥🔥,” Kelce responded. The Cavs are currently 38-20 and first in their division. They are seen as an outside Finals contender.

Reality Stars Who Sued Bravo TV In Recent Years

Behind the glitz and glamor of Bravo TV’s popular reality shows are a couple of lawsuits. The darker side of reality TV has, on numerous occasions, led several stars to take legal action against the network that catapulted them to fame. Over the years, Bravo has faced its fair share of legal battles with its cast members. From contractual disputes to allegations of harassment and wrongful termination, these lawsuits shed light on the controversies inherent in reality TV. The Real Housewives of New York’s Leah McSweeney is the latest in the number of reality TV stars with lawsuits against Bravo, alongside these others. 

NeNe Leakes (The Real Housewives Of Atlanta)

In 2022, NeNe Leakes filed lawsuits against NBCUniversal and Bravo TV. She also filed against executive producer Andy Cohen. Leakes cited a hostile and racially discriminatory working environment as her reasons. After her tenure on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, she also claimed that the organization’s corporate hierarchy was deficient in diversity. Therefore, it fostered insensitivity towards individuals of Color. She further stated that the Real Housewives franchise is marked by racial segregation. Finally, she criticized the treatment of diverse cast members on the show. Leakes dismissed the lawsuits later that year, but it remains one of the most popular cases against Bravo.

Caroline Manzo (The Real Housewives Of New Jersey)

In January 2023, reports emerged indicating the departure of Brandi Glanville and Caroline Manzo from Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip. Allegedly, Glanville crossed boundaries at a party by repeatedly kissing Manzo without her consent. Fast forward a year later, and Manzo filed lawsuits against Bravo TV, its personnel, and affiliated companies related to the incident. Manzo’s lawsuit alleges that the network has a practice of providing the Real Housewives cast with alcohol, inducing severe intoxication. Therefore, sexual harassment among cast members was promoted and promised, all purportedly for the sake of ratings.

Mariah Huq (Married To Medicine)

In 2021, Mariah Huq filed a lawsuit against Bravo, alleging discrimination. Moreover, she asserted that the network withheld her due royalties. Huq, who is recognized not only as the leading lady on her reality series but also credited as its creator and an executive producer on Bravo’s official website, took legal action against Purveyors of Pop, Bravo TV, NBC, and Fremantle. In her lawsuit, she contended that they engaged in “illegal and unethical” practices. These included, but were not limited to, violations of contractual agreements. Other practices include harassment and the unauthorized exploitation of Married to Medicine & Married to Medicine: the Series.

Brandi Glanville (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills)

While Brandi Glanville has yet to file a lawsuit against Bravo TV, she did threaten to take legal action against the network and its executive producer, Andy Cohen. Glanville’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, sent a letter to NBC Universal, Shed Media, and Shed’s parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery. It was alleged that Andy Cohen, in an “inebriated” state, had sent her a video message. He reportedly expressed his intention to spend the night with another Bravo star while thinking of her and invited her to witness the encounter via Facetime. The letter further asserted that Glanville felt both “trapped” and “disgusted” by the nature of Cohen’s communication. Following the letter being disclosed, Cohen released a statement clarifying that the video was intended as a joke directed at Glanville.

Leah McSweeney (The Real Housewives Of New York)

Leah McSweeney, a former Real Housewives of New York City cast member, filed lawsuits against Bravo and Andy Cohen. In a strongly worded legal filing, she alleged that the show achieved its highest-ever audience ratings through an infamous episode titled Scary Island. In this episode, one of the stars appeared to exhibit confusion, irrational behavior, and a detachment from reality. She asserted that they deliberately exploited her struggles with alcohol in a calculated effort to turn her suffering into record-breaking ratings. According to Page Six, the network and its producers not only made alcohol available to her but encouraged her to drink. Last year, she sued the network for discrimination.

The duo appeared to have a blast at the event, chatting it up and even dancing to Destiny’s Child’s 2002 hit, “Bootylicious.” Bailey and Smith also posed for some photos inside the catwalk together, wearing similarly edgy fits. Bailey stunned in a black halterneck dress complete with red and white details, which she complemented with some simple black heels. Smith rocked a coordinating crop top, which she paired with black trousers, a long jacket, and a pair of heeled boots.

Fans are glad to see the two songstresses link up, and can’t help but demand a collab. Some are even dubbing them “sisters from another mister.” It remains unclear whether or not listeners can expect to hear Bailey and Smith team up for a song anytime soon. Either way, supporters are glad to see their friendship on full display.
