Travis Scott Takes Center Stage In Exhilarating “Aggro Dr1ft” Trailer: Watch

A new trailer for Harmony Korine’s latest film Aggro Dr1ft has arrived, per the filmmaker’s multimedia design collective Edglrd. The film, starring Spanish actor Jordi Mollà and hip-hop mainstay Travis Scott, first premiered at the 2023 Venice Film Festival. Aggro Dr1ft is scheduled to start its screening tour at LA strip club Crazy Girl in February. From there, “Edglrd will bring the Aggro Dr1ft viewing experience to unconventional venues across the country with additional music acts to be announced in the coming weeks,” according to a press release. Korine, as well as the film’s composer AraabMuzik, will reportedly perform at the screenings.

“Breaking away from the traditional parameters of cinema, Aggro Dr1ft explores the onslaught of digital ephemera and interrogates modern life through the vernacular of video games. Shot entirely through an infrared lens, the film follows a Miami Beach hitman as he embarks on the relentless pursuit of his next target,” a synopsis reads.

Edglrd Unveils New Aggro Dr1ft Trailer

This isn’t the first time Korine has teamed up with Travis Scott, however. He also appeared in the performer’s video for “Last Time” with Gucci Mane back in 2016. He then contributed artwork to Scott’s 2019 collab compilation album JackBoys, which featured the likes of Young Thug, Don Toliver, Quavo, Offset, and more. Korine also worked with Scott on his self-directed Circus Maximus film in collaboration with Gaspar Noé, Nicolas Winding Refn, Valdimar Jóhannsson, and Kahlil Joseph.

“The distribution of Aggro Dr1ft goes beyond the limitations of the outdated moviegoing experience,” Eric Kohn, Edglrd’s Head of Development and Strategy says of the film. “You don’t just watch Aggro Dr1ft. Antonio Brown & Chandler Jones To Start “CTESPN” Podcast

Antonio Brown has announced his intention to start a podcast with Chandler Jones called CTESPN. Brown then followed up the announcement with a series of inflammatory posts on X, formerly Twitter promoting some of the “features” of CTESPN. This included declaring a “Cracker of the Month” and musing on how the NFL was conspiring to get a ring. It’s unclear where the podcast will be airing or what the show’s full content will be like. However, given the personalities involved, it will certainly be one to watch out for. Given Brown’s early posts, it appears that he is trying to emulate the vibe of something like It Is What It Is.

Brown was seen linking up with Jones shortly before Jones was arrested late last year. At the time, Jones suggested the idea of doing a podcast with Brown. “We gotta sit down and have a Kumbaya…call it CTE podcast! I love you too!” Jones wrote on X after AB sent some love his way. This comes after Jones announced that he was taking a social media break to “hang with strippers” and that fans shouldn’t “check me on my well being, they [the strippers] got me.”

Meanwhile, Brown spent Christmas 2023 making bold declarations. “You think I told my son a fat cracker slid in chimney for him to get gifts. Yea f-cking Rt. You daddy got this sh-t for you Champ,” Brown wrote on X on December 25.

However, it’s not the only thing that Brown was speaking on during Christmas. “Manipulation is when they blame you for your reaction to their disrespect! It’s comes a time we have to have a conversation about the individuals. Who feel they can say what they want say how they want to say it when they want to say it. However they want to weaponize your reaction when you pushing back,” Brown also wrote. Despite this, fans were confused about what Brown was actually talking about.

Nina Sky: Where Are They Now?

Nina Sky burst onto the music scene with their infectious debut single “Move Ya Body.” The dancehall-infused track dominated the airwaves and clubs alike in the mid-2000s. Comprising identical twin sisters, Natalie and Nicole Albino, the duo quickly became synonymous with the summer anthem. However, as the years have passed, the once-prominent presence of Nina Sky in the music industry has waned. The industry might not be at the forefront of their lives anymore, but they’re still very much active. Here’s what the duo is up to now. 

Nina Sky: Music In Their Veins

Nina Sky’s journey to stardom began in the vibrant musical landscape of New York City. Born and raised in Queens, the Albino sisters were immersed in the rich cultural melting pot. As a result, the diversity around them greatly influenced their musical style. At age seven, the twins wrote their first song, and just eight years later, the girls were DJs, playing in packed clubs. 

Drawing inspiration from reggae, hip-hop, dancehall, and R&B, Nina Sky waxed a unique fusion of their own. Their breakout single, “Move Ya Body,” released in 2004, became an instant hit. The infectious melody, catchy lyrics, and danceable beat eventually propelled Nina Sky to international fame. Moreover, the song dominated the charts, reaching the fourth spot on the Billboard Hot 100. “Move Your Body” finished at the 22nd spot on the Billboard Year-End chart. In June 2004, the duo released their debut album Nina Sky, which featured the artists Betty Wright and Jabba. Although the album did not do as well as their debut single, it still held its own. 

Subsequent Releases & DJing

Despite the overwhelming success of their debut, Nina Sky faced challenges in maintaining that level of popularity. Their follow-up singles and features evidently did not achieve the same commercial success. This led to a period of relative obscurity in the mainstream music scene. Furthermore, some dubbed them “one-hit wonders.” By 2007, Nina Sky were recording their second album, Starting Today, which was slated to be released that same year. However, in late 2007, the twins left their label and signed with Polo Grounds Music.

In 2008, Nina Sky unveiled two singles from the album Starting Today: “Curtain Call,” featuring Rick Ross, and “On Some Bulls**t”. Unfortunately, these singles did not achieve significant success. By December, the duo released their first Holiday album, Christmas. Two years later, they embraced a fresh, masculine aesthetic and released the EP The Other Side, alongside a music video for the lead single “You Ain’t Got It (Funk That).”

In February 2012, Nina Sky released the lead single, “Day Dreaming,” off their upcoming third album, Nicole and Natalie. The album was subsequently released in July, but sadly did not chart, especially due to its independent release. Nonetheless, the duo continued to make music and collaborated with various artists on new tracks. By 2015, they went on a mildly successful Euro Tour and released the single “Forever” from their upcoming album, Brightest Gold. They also signed to a new recording label, Tommy Boy Entertainment. More recently, the twin sisters opened up a children’s clothing shop, Mother Vintage, in 2019.

Natalie Albino

Natalie Albino, the older of the twins, explored her passion for songwriting and collaborated with other artists outside of Nina Sky. On the personal side, Natalie tied the knot with artist Michael Colón. She gave birth to her first child, Max, in 2014. In 2017, she was featured in ‘47’s Mother’s Day YouTube video where she spoke about how motherhood had changed her life. “Watching him develop into his own person, that’s my favorite part,” she said. “He’s charismatic and he’s into music, which is cool.” The family continued to grow as they welcomed their second child, Izzy, in 2018. 

Nicole Albino

Nicole Albino has continued to shine as a DJ, developing the skills she learned from her stepfather. In 2010, she came out as a lesbian and has been dating Erin Magee, a fashion designer since 2009. The two got married in 2010 and began building a family together. Four years later, Nicole released her first solo project outside of Nina Sky- a mixtape album titled Currently Vol. 1. The album featured her remixes of songs by popular artists, including Beyoncé and Mariah Carey.

In 2017, Nicole took to the duo’s Instagram page to announce that she and Magee were expecting a child. Magee carried the baby and gave birth to their daughter, Goldie. Nonetheless, she has continued to push her career as a part of Nina Sky. In 2022, Nicole gave birth to her second child Violet. Speaking to Vogue about motherhood, she said: “No matter how put together I thought I was before, having children really put me in my place. Everything else feels so lightweight compared to motherhood.”

Though Charlamagne Tha God expressed his doubts about Gates’ ability to impact everyone he crosses paths with, his guest made it clear that he knows his energy isn’t for everyone.

What the multi-talent never fails to do, whether you’re a fan of his music or not, is keep us laughing. On TBC he did this by revealing the “d**k restriction” he’s put women on in the past for reverting to their toxic ways. 21 Savage is riding high after the release of his new album american dream. The project became an instant smash rising to the top of the Billboard 200 in its very first week. The album isn’t going anywhere either as it’s projected to spend a second week at the very top spot. It also debuted two songs in the top 10 of the Hot 100, “redrum” and “nee-nah” with Travis Scott and Metro Boomin. “redrum” landed in the top 5 and is expected to remain in the top 10 in its second week.

In a sort of victory lap for the new album, Savage appeared on Shannon Sharpe’s show Club Shay Shay. The show was already a point of controversy earlier this year when Katt Williams appeared. He used it as a platform to deliver some truly unhinged stories that quickly went viral. By comparison, 21 is much more focused but that doesn’t mean he didn’t make some viral waves of his own. Most recently fans are discussing his comments about being friends with Drake. When Sharpe tries to bring up the fact that people don’t like the For All The Dogs rapper for inexplicable reasons, Savage defends him. “I don’t know. I f*ck with Drake though. He also told a particularly harrowing version of his story of getting shot on his 21st birthday.
