Cardi B Opens Up On Spending New Years Eve With Offset

Reports of a rocky period in Cardi B and Offset’s marriage have dominated the headlines for the better part of the past month. It started when fans uncovered that the pair had unfollowed each other on Instagram, but nothing since then has been clear. During an Instagram live responding to the rumors Cardi poured gasoline on the flame when she described herself as “single.” She doubled down later on when she took shots at her husband during a night out just before the holidays.

Now, things may not be as rocky as they seemed after all. It started when the pair spent Christmas together and fans began to suspect that the turbulence in their relationship was being over-exaggerated. That seemed to be the case again when they partied together last night. Videos made the round overnight of the pair enjoying their New Year’s Eve together. That clearly got fans buzzing, so much so that Cardi felt the need to respond. As she so often does, she jumped on Twitter spaces to answer fan questions. That included giving an explanation of her and Offset’s night together. Check out what she said below.

Consequence Disses Talib Kweli On New Song, He Responds

Consequence released a diss track aimed at Talib Kweli on Friday and the legendary rapper has responded in multiple posts on social media. In his new track, “Beef Forever,” Cons brings up the Black Star rapper’s ex-wife, his former collaborator Res, and more.

He raps: “You might have went around with the Lyricist Lounge, but the underground know who got the Lyricist Crown/ So you should be afraid, watch the levels EQ/ You should know that night I could’ve left with Eque.” He also references Res and the sexual harassment claims they made against him. “You probably so afraid of that left from Eque, and that’s the reason why them other girls got #MeToo’d/ You never been more than a Mr. Me Too, and you don’t really want no smoke with the one I too, n***a/ We got beef forever, once we got beef we got beef forever.”

In response, Kweli brought up DJ Akademiks supporting Cons and used the recent sexual assault allegations from his ex-girlfriend against him. “How @constv mad at me for saying what he be saying about Kanye two years before he said it [laughing face emojis] and @akademiks I been waiting for your Jerry the Mouse ass to jump out the window. So Trump the nazi rapist is your guy huh. Imma have fun exposing you in 2024 [laughing face emojis] LFG,” he wrote in the caption.

In a follow-up, he added: “What’s crazy is @constv (Dexter) started stalking me in defense of Kanye, a man he now says the same things about that I said two years before he did. When called out for this behavior, @constv falsely accused me of being raped by Afrika Bambatta. Let’s say that horrible thing happened, which it didn’t, but if it did, I would not be something to laugh about.” The two have been feuding since 2022 when Cons stood by Kanye West amid his antisemitism controversy. Boldy James & Nicholas Craven Announce Release Date For New Album

Boldy James and Nicholas Craven are kicking 2024 off with a bang with their new album, Penalty of Leadership. After many teases and a couple of singles, namely “Brand New Chanel Kicks” and “No Pun Intended,” producer Craven announced that the project will come out on Friday, January 12. As such, many die-hards and hip-hop heads in general think that this will be among the first amazing albums this year. It sounds magnificent up to this point, if the singles are any solid indication, which is unsurprising to witness from this duo. All we can hope for is that the material they’re saving for next week is even better than what they offered as appetizers.

Of course, a big reason behind this hype is the established collaborative chemistry between Boldy James and Nicholas Craven. Their 2022 full-length, Fair Exchange No Robbery, was one of the year’s most acclaimed releases, and holds a special place in both artists’ catalogs. In addition, they had previously linked up on the beatmaker’s Craven N 3 record, and are building on how well they fit each other’s styles. However, an important narrative part of Penalty of Leadership seems to be the Detroit MC’s car crash in early 2023, which this album’s recording, promotional artwork, and lyrical content seems to tackle.

Nicholas Craven Unveils Penalty Of Leadership Release Date With Boldy James

For example, Nicholas Craven had said on Twitter that “No Pun Intended” was the last song they recorded after Boldy James almost fully recovered from the accident, whereas “Brand New Chanel Kicks” was recorded shortly after the crash. The Montreal sonic wizard’s output without him was still great in 2023, including the Ransom collab EP Deleted Scenes 2. On the other hand, the “Disco Fever” spitter kicked the year off– much like he will in 2024– with the album Indiana Jones with RichGains, plus other EPs, singles, and features throughout. As such, we know that they’re by no means out of practice, and that they worked just as hard, if not harder, on Penalty of Leadership.

Meanwhile, we already know that this won’t be Bo’s only album this year. He just released the project 1LB (One Lucky Bastard) with Your Boy Posca, available exclusively via physical vinyl and cassette copies. Looks like it’s going to be another fantastic year for all the concreatures out there. For more news and the latest updates on Boldy James and Nicholas Craven, stay up to date on HNHH.

JPEGMAFIA Updates New Music Plans For 2024 With Fans

JPEGMAFIA started off the new year with a message to his loyal fans, who couldn’t be happier with his output in 2023. Moreover, his Danny Brown collab project SCARING THE H*ES is, for our money, the best rap album of last year, and they even dropped an expansion pack to add even more amazing songs to it. However, some fans expressed disappointment throughout the year when it appeared the Baltimore creative wouldn’t drop his other album that he promised fans in 2023. On Monday (January 1), he took to Twitter to explain to fans what happened, and to thank them for their patience that he looks forward to rewarding soon.

“Took a break for the holidays,” JPEGMAFIA’s Notes app message to fans began, which the “black enuff” lyricist apparently started writing half an hour before the clock struck midnight into 2024. “I’m finishing the album I was supposed to release this year. My plan actual plan for this album was to release it on January 1st. I was going to say nothing, and then do a fake apology on the 31st, and then surprise drop on the 1st today. But I always rush to finish things.

JPEGMAFIA Promises His New Album Is Coming In 2024

“I apologize to my fans i promised an album to this year, the album will be out 2024,” JPEGMAFIA continued. “I just have to keep working, to make it as best as possible for you. Happy holidays. To all the people in my life I love and that love me. & happy new year to all, even my enemies and their ugly a** kids and families. I will see you all next year.” What’s more is that the Black Ben Carson also reflected on his career history this year. For example, he re-released his 2013 mixtape The Ghost Pop Tape in its original version, plus a remastered edition.

Meanwhile, with the 34-year-old producing for various amazing artists, such as a recent credit on Armand Hammer’s new album, hopefully he keeps collaborating with other artists. He basically turns any song into his own whether he’s on the mic or behind the board, and seeing these fusions is always a thrill. Here’s to another top-tier and boundary-pushing album from Barrington Hendricks in 2024. For more news and the latest updates on JPEGMAFIA, stay posted on HNHH.

Lil Yachty Fires Back At “Cheater” & “Colorist” Accusations

Lil Yachty took issue with a user on Twitter’s criticism of him, in which they labeled him a “cheater,” and “colorist,” while claiming he “won’t change his daughter’s own diaper.” In making their argument, the user cited Yachty’s “The Secret Recipe.” In the song, he raps: “They say I got a type/ Said all my hoes they look the same, they said they look too light.” They also used an interview from October 2022 in which Yachty joked about not changing his daughter’s diaper.

“Man, y’all have to touch grass. There was no cheating,” he said in response. “I am not a colorist in any shape or form. I have changed my daughter’s diaper — it was simply a troll, I do not post my daughter because I do not owe you people that. Everything isn’t meant for social media. Y’all be losers.” He continued in another post: “Just cuz y’all post every second of your life, doesn’t mean I have to. I never cared for any of y’all’s opinions on my child. That’s why you’ve never seen her. Because it’s not for y’all to see. TF?”
