2Pac Murder Suspect Keefe D Can’t Afford A Lawyer
At the end of September, Las Vegas Metro Police arrested Duane “Keefe D” Davis for the murder of 2Pac. He had a court hearing last month, asking a judge for a continuance because his lawyer failed to show up. He’s now listed as having no lawyer, and according to VladTV, it’s because he doesn’t have the funds to hire one.
As a result, the man authorities believe acted as the “shot caller” in 2Pac’s 1996 shooting will use a public defender instead. His arraignment is now scheduled for November 2. The news follows recent reports that prominent Las Vegas attorney Ross Goodman might be representing the alleged former gang member.

Keefe D To Use A Public Defender Instead
At the time, Goodman told KTNV that Keefe D would be pleading not guilty and requesting bail. “I’m not yet hired to review the grand jury transcripts,” he also added. “But the things that jump out, there’s no gun, there’s no car, and there are no witnesses from 27 years ago.”
While only time will tell what’ll happen to Keefe D, recent rumors suggested that he wasn’t faring well behind bars. Luckily for him, it appears that the speculation is unfounded. DJ Vlad took to social media last week to clear up the rumors. “There’s a rumor going around that Keefe D got beat up and stabbed in jail,” he wrote. “I looked into it, and it doesn’t appear to be true.” What do you think of Keefe D reportedly being unable to afford legal representation? Janet Jackson And Her Ex-Managers Will Settle Lawsuit With Private Mediation
Earlier this year, the news broke that Janet Jackson was being sued over a debt to a management firm. The lawsuit identified a $240k debt that they claim Jackson owes and was eventually served to her in August. Her lawyers quickly hit back with a pretty definitive statement. “If the case was assigned for collections and they are suing as the assignee, they will be in for a big surprise as the claim is past the statute of limitations and was resolved years ago before the firm was bought out,” the statement read.
Now, there’s been a new development in the matter. According to Radar Online, both parties informed the courts last week that they had come to an agreement to handle the matter privately. The lawsuit will be settled via a “private mediation.” Many details of the matter were not made public. But it’s expected to be settled before the originally scheduled status hearing date of May 22, 2024. “The Stipulation Parties will enter into this stipulation to avoid unnecessary motion practice and attorneys’ fees and to further judicial economy and preserve Court resources,” the notice to the court reads. Check out even more info on the legal proceedings below.

Janet Jackson Lawsuit Headed To Private Mediation
The new development comes just a few days after Jackson made a splash for her performance at ONE Musicfest. She teamed up with J. Cole on stage and the duo delivered their 2015 collaboration “No Sleeep.” It was part of a headlining set that came alongside other superstar performers on the bill like Kendrick Lamar, Megan Thee Stallion, and Killer Mike.
That isn’t the only notable time this year Janet Jackson was joined by a rapper on stage. Back in May she teamed up with Busta Rhymes to deliver fans a version of their 1998 hit “What’s It Gonna Be?.” Subsequently, videos of the moment circulated online for days after. Shockingly, it was the first time the pair had ever performed the song together live. What do you think of Janet Jackson’s $200k lawsuit being diverted to private mediation? Burna Boy Says He Turned Down $5 Million Dollar Booking In Dubai Because He Couldn’t Smoke Weed
Burna Boy, the renowned Nigerian Afro-fusion artist, found himself at the center of a social media when he openly admitted to turning down a jaw-dropping $5 million booking in Dubai. The reason? The musician’s commitment to his love for smoking, which put him in a unique and challenging predicament. It all began when Burna Boy received an offer from Dubai. The offer, an astronomical $5 million to perform in Dubai, was impossible to ignore. But what seemed like a dream deal soon became a moral and personal dilemma for Burna Boy. As an advocate for personal freedom and self-expression, Burna Boy’s attachment to his creative process and lifestyle has been no secret.
He has always been an outspoken advocate for marijuana legalization, seeing it as a means of self-expression and creative inspiration. However, the deal came with a condition that he couldn’t smoke while in Dubai, where strict anti-drug laws are enforced. Burna Boy’s decision to decline the offer was an act of defiance against what he saw as an infringement on his artistic freedom. In fact, just last year he launched a cannabis brand in the us, called BRKFAST.

Burna Boy Is Sticking To His Values
Some praised Burna Boy for his unwavering commitment to his values, seeing it as a testament to his authenticity as an artist. Others questioned his decision, emphasizing the immense financial security he could have achieved for himself and his loved ones. “He’s going to regret that later in life,” one person commented. “Man if you don’t go get that 5mil and just get drunk,” another person said. “Y’all need the 5 million. He doesn’t,” someone else said. “This is the definition of a drug addiction gone too far,” another commented.
In the end, Burna Boy’s choice was a reflection of his unyielding devotion to his craft, his music, and his values. While the $5 million opportunity may have slipped through his fingers, his integrity remained intact. And he continued to be a beacon of inspiration for those who value artistic freedom above all else. Burna Boy’s viral story serves as a reminder that sometimes, personal principles can be worth more than any financial gain. It’s a testament to the power of individuality and the willingness to stand up for what one believes in, no matter the cost. In the end, Burna Boy’s decision was not just about turning down a booking; it was about staying true to himself, and that, for him, was worth more than any sum of money.

Benny The Butcher Says Women Stole Halloween From Kids
The Halloween holiday has undergone a transformation that many would argue isn’t in the spirit of the season. Rapper Benny The Butcher sparked a debate when he suggested that women have “stolen” Halloween from the kids, citing the increasing trend of revealing costumes. While it’s essential to remember that Halloween is a holiday that’s meant to be enjoyed by people of all ages, it’s undeniable that the adult-oriented festivities have indeed taken the spotlight.
Over the years, the holiday has evolved to include costume parties, haunted houses, and elaborate decorations, making it a fun and thrilling experience for all. However, Benny The Butcher’s comments reflect a growing sentiment that Halloween has become more about adults than kids. It’s true that in recent times, Halloween has seen a surge in adults enthusiastically participating in the celebration. Many would say this to be true as the stars did go all out this year. Chloe Bailey for example flaunted her curves in her Mrs. Incredibles costume. Meanwhile, Summer Walker did a wholesome photoshoot as a Cat In The Hat family.

Does Benny The Butcher Have A Point?
Many women, in particular, have embraced this opportunity to dress up in costumes that can be more daring and revealing than ever before. While there’s nothing inherently wrong with adults enjoying the holiday and expressing themselves through creative costumes, some argue that the holiday’s primary focus has shifted from kids to adults. One of the key factors driving this shift is the commercialization of Halloween. Social media platforms have also played a significant role in promoting the trend, with influencers and celebrities sharing their extravagant costumes, encouraging others to follow suit. While it’s important to acknowledge the changing dynamics of Halloween, we should also remember that the essence of the holiday remains the same.
Halloween is a time to have fun, be creative, and embrace the spooky aspects of the season. Whether it’s kids collecting candy or adults showing off their costumes, Halloween is a day when everyone can join in the festivities. In conclusion, Benny The Butcher’s statement may have sparked a debate, but it’s clear that Halloween’s transformation from a child-centric event to a more inclusive celebration for all ages is a result of cultural evolution. Instead of lamenting this shift, let’s embrace the diverse ways people enjoy Halloween and remember that at its core, it’s a day of creative spirit.
