The Game Takes Shots At 50 Cent Following Microphone Throw

50 Cent is in trouble once again. This time he’s following in the footsteps of Cardi B and angrily throwing a microphone into the crowd during a show. The microphone toss happened after repeated technical difficulties emerged while 50 was trying to perform. But this incident might have caused even more damage than Cardi’s. The microphone reportedly hit Power 96 host Bryhana Monegain in the head. The incicept reportedly left her bruised and bloodied afterwards, signaling the power put behind the throw.

That situation got even worse for 50 after reports emerged that he was a suspect in a battery investigation following the microphone throw. A similar thing happened to Cardi B. After he microphone throw she was briefly the subject of a battery investigation by the Las Vegas Police Department. While she was cleared of all charges it seems like 50 could potentially find himself in even more serious trouble. He’s also catching some heat from other sources for his behavior in the mean time. Dr. Dre Partners With Jimmy Iovine For Atlanta Learning Center

The partnership between Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine dates back decades. Together, they have made billions from their music careers and other businesses, including Apple’s acquisition of the Beats headphone brand. Now, they’re teaming up to put their efforts to good use. Recently, the industry heavyweights came together to give back to Atlanta youth. According to Atlanta News First, the pair partnered with iconic producer Dallas Austin to break ground on their Innovational Learning Center at Frederick Douglass High School.

Named the “Iovine and Young Center,” after Iovine and Dre. Dre, whose real name is Andre Romell Young, the center’s curriculum will offer students “a different learning model.” Students can begin enrolling in the program next school year. “We believe we’re going to give these kids an advantage, a different type of education. So, you all can sell these kids, go out there and say you want these kids. Because the modern job needs these kids. That’s why,” Iovine said during a press conference.

He continued: “Me and Dre think big. We think everybody in the world’s going to learn like this well, maybe! We never thought everybody in the world would wear our headphones, but they did.” Similar to Iovine, Ariel Brumant, a senior, said the program will help shine a light on her and her fellow peers. “We don’t have as much opportunities as other schools have,” she said.

This marks the second school the two have invested in. Back in 2021, Iovine and Dr.Dre came together to open up a public high school in South Los Angeles. The high school, the Iovine and Young Center Integrated Design, Technology, and Entrepreneurship Magnet, is based at Audubon Middle School in the Leimert Park neighborhood, according to the L.A. Times. “Here’s a place that you can go where there’s something that you can learn that you’re really interested in,” Dre told the publication.

Back in 2021, a former friend of T.I. and Tiny’s, Sabrina Peterson, sued the couple for defamation. She had alleged that T.I. threatened her with a gun after she got into an argument with his assistant, telling her “b*tch I’ll kill you.” She went on to accuse the couple of assaulting “over 100 women,” who she claimed were ready to come forward. Peterson additionally tried to promote the hashtag “Surviving T.I.” on social media.

After she made those claims, Peterson alleged that the duo defamed her on the internet, after Tiny made a post about her son. “Hold up …. So you want your abuser to train your son … now when did you say my husband assaulted you? Did you change your mind or change it back? What’s up wit you today Pooh? I’m confused. Stop harassing my family. You strange. Everybody know you been special. Please Get help,” the post reads. She further accused the couple of trashing her reputation with additional social media posts.

T.I. later responded to the lawsuit by arguing that the posts shared on social media were only opinions. He further claimed that her reputation wasn’t the best to begin with. They demanded that the lawsuit be dropped, which was initially denied. Earlier this month, however, the court’s decision was reversed, and a majority of the causes of action were dropped.

Now, T.I. and Tiny are seeking $164,650 from Peterson to cover their legal fees. “The Harrises’ request for $164,650.56 in attorneys’ fees and costs is reasonable and in line with fee awards regularly affirmed in this district,” their lawyer claims. “Given the complexity of the legal issues, the time necessary to adjudicate Peterson’s seven causes of action over a two-year period, and the additional costs of appeal, the amount requested should be awarded in full.” The case is ongoing, with two out of seven causes of action remaining. Furthermore, DSG was owned and operated by popular streamer DisguisedToast. The team was a collection of scene veterans and long-time academy players. Additionally, the team went on to steal the hearts of the community. As a cherry on top, the team went on to win the NACL Summer split.

However, just a month after that historic win, DSG is parting ways with that title-winning roster. “Today, we bid farewell to our NACL Championship League of Legends team. Since the start of the season, we wanted to make sure that our players would have the chance to prove their worth and value as some of the top players in the NA scene. With our win in the NACL, they have done exactly that. Our agreement with each of them was set so that after the season, they can all pursue LCS opportunities freely and without any kind of restrictions as LCS orgs look to revamp their roster for next year,” the team’s statement read in part.

Speaking with Dexerto, DisguisedToast revealed that dropping the roster was actually the best thing he could do for their careers. “As an NACL team, there is currently no pathway for any DSG players to work their way up to the LCS as long as they remain on the team. We would vouch for each of their work ethics and encourage all LCS teams to give them a trial,” he explained. A fair amount of movement is expected in the LCS this offseason. Hopefully, that will present an opportunity for these players.

However, DSG won’t be going away. “DSG will be staying in the NACL for 2024. Thank you to all the fans for their support as we continue our journey in the esports scene,” the team’s statement about the rosters moves concluded. Meanwhile, DisguisedToast recently said that he was open to the idea of moving DSG up to the LCS in the future. However, Toast has a stringent financial plan in mind. Furthermore, the viability of that move has left him wary about taking the leap.
