Lil Double 0 is back home and the FBG boss Future ensured that he was welcomed back properly. A video surfaced this week of Future handing over goodies to the young rapper after his release from jail. Double 0 came home to a stack of cash and new jewelry, including an iced-out watch and Freebandz chain. “That shit go with it. Turn my dog up. Just got out the slammer turn my dog up, man,” Future said with a grin on his face. Double 0 replied, “Turn that shit up a whole another notch. They know that.”

Lil Double 0 has been a rising force on the Freebandz roster but his legal issues have undoubtedly stagnated his journey. Last December, police arrested the “Good On Love” rapper on drug and gun charges. However, in February, he turned himself into authorities before his release earlier this week. Meanwhile, Akademiks alleged that Lil Double 0 was potentially facing a 15-year prison sentence as paperwork revealed that he was charged with trafficking oxycodone, possessing MDMA, driving without a valid license, and unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon. 

Future Gears Up To Release New Music

Besides ensuring that his artists are taken care of, Future appears to be plotting on the release of new music. Last year, we received his latest full-length album, I Never Liked You, which served as one of the highest-selling projects of 2022. Along with the success of “Wait For You” ft. Drake and Tems, Future continued to claim his reign at the top of the charts. However, there has been further anticipation surrounding his next effort.

Metro Boomin and Future have been hinting at the release of a collaborative project in the near future. On several occasions since the top of 2023, the two have hinted at releasing a joint project together. Metro even said that it would see the light of day in 2023. Although no release date has been set, Metro has been cooking up the soundtrack for Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse which he confirmed will include a new collaboration with Future. Lil Uzi Vert Reveals Just How Effective Rehab Is

Lil Uzi Vert is a beloved artist who is always being begged to release new music. Overall, they are gearing up to release The Pink Tape, which is likely to be massive. However, we actually have no clue whether or not it will be released in 2023. Instead, Uzi has been fairly quiet on that front. They refuse to give fans much insight into the album, even though many would do anything for just a little bit of information. At this point, all fans can really do is be patient and wait and see.

Recently, Lil Uzi Vert appeared on the cover of 032c Magazine. Overall, the cover story was exceptionally insightful. Additionally, Uzi opened up about having to go to rehab for seven months. As they explain, Desiree Perez was one of the people who encouraged them to join. Like many people who go into rehab, Uzi was extremely skeptical. However, it worked for the best as the artist is feeling very good right now.

“I’m lucky to have people in my life who truly care about me and my well-being. Specifically, Desiree Perez, who helped me get into this program,” Uzi said. “I didn’t want to do it, but I had to — and I can say now that it was a great thing to do. I spent seven months in rehab. The first month and a half were hard, but after that, it was easy, because the people there became my family. They showed me so many different outlets and ways to cope with life. We did a lot of group talks, a lot of writing on whiteboards.I was so sure that it wasn’t going to work, but surprisingly it’s pretty effective.”

Overall, this is a pretty great endorsement of rehab. Although some people are still not so sure about its effectiveness, let Lil Uzi Vert be the one to tell you it’s good. Regardless, we are just happy to see Uzi thriving. They are living life to the fullest, and you can’t help but be extremely happy for them. Tupac to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame on June 7

Tupac Shakur will finally get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. According to Billboard, Tupac‘s star will be unveiled on June 7 and will be awarded in the recording category. Pac’s Star will be at 6212 Hollywood Blvd.

“Tupac Shakur was a rapper, actor, activist, poet, and revolutionary,” says Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “This iconic artist has continued to be part of the zeitgeist for decades after his passing and will continue to be an important cultural figure for many years to come. Surely, as one of L.A.’s own, Tupac’s star will be added to the list of most visited stars.”

The ceremony will occur at 10:30 a.m. PT and stream live here.

Another piece of California will also be named after the Hip-Hop icon.

During a momentous meeting held on May 16, 2023, the Oakland City Council unanimously decided to pay tribute to one of the city’s most iconic and influential figures by renaming a significant stretch of MacArthur Boulevard. The resolution passed by the elected officials commemoratively designates the portion between Grand and Van Buren Ave. as “Tupac Shakur Way,” recognizing the enduring legacy of the legendary rapper and activist.

The initiative honors Tupac Shakur’s remarkable contributions to Oakland and the broader Bay Area community. By retaining the existing street name and adding an honorary designation, the city seeks to celebrate the profound impact of Shakur on the region’s cultural and social fabric. The additional honorary street name will be accompanied by commemorative plaques and/or signs, as a permanent reminder of Shakur’s enduring influence.

In a statement addressing why she brought forward this resolution, Councilmember Carroll Fife says: 

“This street renaming reminds us of Tupac Amaru Shakur’s life, legacy and contribution to Oakland, California. With what seemed to be ef ortless skill, this Black Panther Party Cub influenced hearts and minds while highlighting the contradictions of the brand of “American exceptionalism” that “has money for wars but can’t feed the poor”. In addition to his theatrical and literary contributions, we recognize his social commentary; one that is just as relevant today as it was 30 years ago. Tupac will be remembered as one of the greatest of all time by his family and fans; touching countless lives of people all over the world, spanning several decades. I am honored to bring forward this resolution along with LeRoy McCarthy and Heterodoxx Inc. and look forward to a continued partnership with the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation to ensure the Shakur legacy lives on and that we build a world where roses no longer have to grow through concrete because we’ve broken down those obstacles and softened the ground for all beauty to bloom with ease.”

In a statement, The Tupac Shakur Foundation says:

Notably, the Tupac Shakur Foundation has generously volunteered to cover the costs associated with this commemorative act. The foundation, established to carry on the artist’s philanthropic endeavors, will bear the financial responsibility for renaming and installing the commemorative signage.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Drop $61 Million on New LA-Area Megamansion

Jenny from the Block has found a new block to live on. According to The Wall Street Journal, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have purchased a new $61 million megamansion in Wallingford Estates.

TMZ has provided additional details on the mansion, revealing it has a double gate, 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, and 15 fireplaces across five acres of land. The home was purchased for $60.85 million in cash.

The new digs for the A-list couple also feature a movie theater, wine and whiskey room, sauna, spa, and its own hair and nail salon.

Moving crews are already moving in the couple’s furniture and belongings, settling into the massive estate.

The home was originally listed in 2018 at $135 million before being relisted at $75 million.
