Lil Meech Flexes On Gianni Paolo & The “Power” Cast

Beef between the “BMF” cast and the “Power” cast is nothing new at this point, and it’s been to varying degrees of playfulness. Despite them both coming from more or less the same creative mind, namely 50 Cent, there’s still friendly and not-so-friendly debates between the two groups over which show is better. Well, that might be a misspeak, because it’s evolved further into a question of status, success, and private planes. Moreover, Lil Meech just posted an Instagram video of the “BMF” crew on what appears to be a private jet with luxury bags and items. Not only that, but Meech claimed that he’s “never seen” any of the folks from “Power,” naming Gianni Paolo and Michael Rainey Jr. specifically, living this large.

Of course, both shows are hugely successful and popular, so at a certain point, it’s like grasping at straws. Regardless, especially for Lil Meech and the rest of the cast and crew of both shows, that competition is something that fuels them to come back stronger in the next season. As such, maybe this is the kind of attitude that other shows should have at each other, the same way that a competitive edge pushes some other professions into greatness. Still, the material flexes are some of the most cheeky in this regard, and fans shouldn’t take them too seriously.

For Lil Meech in particular, he already has a lot more on his mind after finding breakout massive success with “BMF.” A lot of that recently revolved around drama concerning his relationship with Summer Walker. Their goings-on, cute boo’d-up pics on social media, and their drama with other celebrities resulted in a lot of conversation around them. Whether it’s for their responses or for people trying to bring them down, they always find a way to brush things off and make a statement in the process.

For example, their most recent feud was with Jess Hilarious, as Meech leaked DMs she sent him after she called him “musty.” Clearly they don’t mind airing out their dirty laundry for all to see, which makes them an online menace. Maybe they will turn over a new leaf in the future, or keep engaging with all the smoke. With that in mind, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Meech.

All Young Thug Wants Is T.I. And Boosie To Drop Their Joint Album

Despite still being in state custody, Young Thug is still using his Instagram to communicate with fans and fellow artists. Yesterday with a post to his Instagram story, Thugger made a request of two of his former collaborators. His post asked Boosie and T.I. to “go ahead and drop that album together. that’s all a n*gga want.” Thug, T.I., and Boosie Badazz all three worked together on the track “Can’t Tell” from Thug’s Barter 6 mixtape. Despite his words, it’s hard to believe that is the ONLY thing he wants given his legal situation.

New stories are coming out every day in regards to the YSL RICO case. Just yesterday, Young Thug’s lawyer had to come out and deny that he provided information to police about a homicide. Avoiding snitching allegations is crucial for Thugger following the drama of Gunna. The fellow YSL rapper took a plea deal which reportedly included snitching. Many other artists like Lil Baby and Lil Durk have taken issue with his actions. Even Thug might have made a statement on it with a song from his new album Business Is Business. While a track that features lyrics about snitching was recorded before the pair were arrested in the first place, its inclusion on the album has been interpreted by many as a statement of its own.

Young Thug Wants A Collab Album

Young Thug’s new album is mainly a clearing out of the vault. Producer and frequent collaborator Metro Boomin gathered together some unreleased songs from the rapper’s past to make up the tracklist of the new album. Despite the origins of the tracks, fans were excited that new music of any kind was dropping.

While official numbers aren’t in yet, Business Is Business is expected to fall short of its initial sales projections. The original projection of 110k in first week sales has since been dropped down to just 87k. What do you think of Young Thug’s request for Boosie and T.I.’s collab album to be dropped? Let us know in the comment section below.

Luh Tyler Details His ‘Brand New Blues’ In A Trunk-Thumping Single Ahead Of His First Overseas Trip

The coolest teen in rap is back with another trunk thumper. “Brand New Blues” fits right in with the rest of Luh Tyler‘s oeuvre, featuring swaggering verses and no hook to speak of, laid over a ghostly combination of synth sounds and a thundering kick drum. “I told you I don’t need no pen and pad, I’m comin’ off my top,” he smirks. “These n****s chasin’ hoes before the bag, that sh*t gotta stop.”

Those are the sort of priorities that ensured Luh Tyler a place in XXL‘s 2023 Freshman Class alongside other breakout stars like GloRilla, Lola Brooke, and TiaCorine. While there’s likely more content to come on that front, Tyler himself has stuck to his own grind, dropping the “Weeks” video just a couple of weeks ago and joining Moneybagg Yo on the Larger Than Life Tour later this summer. Tyler’s solo My Vision Tour is wrapping up this week with a show tonight in Orlando, just four hours from his hometown, Tallahassee, and the finale in Tampa tomorrow. Then, he’ll be headed overseas for Rolling Loud festivals in Portugal and Germany before a triumphant homecoming to RL Miami. That’ll be a sight to see.

‘F*ck Sean Paul,’ Lil Yachty Said While Making It ‘Very Clear’ That He Doesn’t ‘F*ck With Sean Paul’

Lil Yachty neither forgives nor forgets, it appears: Sean Paul once threw shade at Yachty, and Yachty still isn’t cool with Paul.

Yachty recently shared the debut episode of A Safe Place, his new podcast co-hosted by MitchGoneMad. In the June 28 episode, Yachty and Mitch discussed “falling off,” with Mitch bringing up Sean Paul. Yachty responded, “Nobody ever said Sean Paul fell off. They just stopped making music. I don’t think they’re still dropping music… By the way, f*ck Sean Paul. I want to make that very clear, I don’t f*ck with Sean Paul. Sean Paul once dissed me in a radio interview.”

The interview Yachty’s talking about (as Complex notes) is a 2016 appearance on The Breakfast Club, not long after Yachty claimed he couldn’t name five songs by the Notorious B.I.G. or Tupac. Paul said, “If it was really about talent in the hip hop industry, you wouldn’t have some of these younger cats talking that […] the Lil Yachty dem. The ‘boat boy.’ I mean, I don’t know much of the dude’s music either. I don’t like his comments. Those are artists I revere. I understand that probably kids don’t care about writing right now. I understand they don’t know where hip-hop started.”

The Game Gets A Jab At 50 Cent In While Clearing Up Rumors That He Was A Ghostwriter On ‘What Up Gangsta’

The Game never passes up an opportunity to address the trending music news of the day. From Nicki Minaj’s impact on rap to the tragic passing of Aaron Carter, the “Ricky” rapper keeps his hand on the pulse of the music. Now, he’s taking the time to correct a headline related to his career.

In a sit-down with Amazon Music’s Bimma Williams, The Game finally cleared up the 50 Cent ghostwriting rumors. A few years ago, during a Clubhouse broadcast, music professional Wack100 claimed that The Game had written his former G-Unit leader’s 2003 song, “What Up Gangsta.” The song appeared on 50 Cent’s groundbreaking debut album, Get Rich Or Die Tryin’. However, it turns out that wasn’t the whole truth.

“I didn’t write ‘What Up Gangta’ for 50. I was in there and part of the influence,” said The Game.

When clarifying what he meant by influence, the entertainer turned his attention to the chorus, saying, “But obviously, you know, ‘What up, Blood? What up, Cuz? What up, Gangsta?’ is Los Angeles influenced. It’s LA. So it is what it is.”

He later added, “But yeah, I didn’t do no writing for 50, 50 ain’t do no writing for me. 50 is not a better writer than me. Not a better lyricist, you know what I’m sayin’? Better with melodies and hooks — that’s his thing. I’ll give him that. I’m not gonna take nothing away from nobody that’s good at what they good at, but as far as, like, lyricism, he can’t f*ck with me on that level. But he know.”

Too bad that the Power Universe producer has previously denied that The Game had anything to do with the track. When he appeared on The Breakfast Club, 50 Cent said, “[The Game] said he wrote ‘What Up Gangsta.’ I’m like, ‘C’mon, bro. You weren’t even around when we did that. That was Get Rich Or Die Tryin’. We didn’t even know who he was until after. There’s a point when you [reach] desperation, and you’ll say anything.”

West Coast Rising Star Jayson Cash Brings ‘Some More Of It’ To ‘UPROXX Sessions’

Del Amo’s own Jayson Cash pulls up on UPROXX Sessions for a laid-back performance of his song “Some More Of It.” With a voice and flow like a cross between DJ Quik and Ab-Soul, Cash steps to the mic with enough West Coast swagger to launch a fleet of lowriders down Crenshaw Blvd. “Let me put some Jayson in it,” he boasts. Well, go on, then.

Cash’s buzz has grown over the past year since releasing his major-label debut project, Read The Room, which contained features from LA staples like Blxst and Dom Kennedy and fellow rising star Kalan.FrFr. There are big things on the horizon for the South LA native, so he’s worth keeping an ear to the street for.

Bad Bunny Teams Up With Tainy For ‘Mojabi Ghost,’ A Glimmering New Collaboration

Bad Bunny always has a lot on his plate. The chart-dominating artist recently confirmed a collaboration with Travis Scott; last month, he shared a video for “Where She Goes,” which featured a Frank Ocean cameo.

Now, he’s teamed up with Tainy for the dreamy track “Mojabi Ghost,” from Tainy’s new album Data. For nearly four minutes, glimmering synthesizers imbue the song with light and his vocals are poignant amidst the glowing sound. It’s a magical match; the pair have a palpable chemistry, and it was also demonstrated on the hopeful 2020 track “Un Día,” which also had J Balvin and Dua Lipa.

Though Bad Bunny has a busy schedule, he recently addressed the phone-throwing incident again, to clear up the situation further, saying the woman “got right on me, leaned directly on my body.” He clarified that the device wasn’t tossed into a body of water as it was reported. “Bro, that cellphone didn’t break,” he told Rolling Stone. “It exists. It bothers me that people haven’t said that. I didn’t throw that phone into the water. I threw it into some bushes.” He added that the fan picked it up after. “She has it. She should upload the video.”

Nicki Minaj & JT Talk About “Endless Fashion” Verse On Lil Uzi Vert’s “Pink Tape”

To the delight of fans everywhere, Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape is finally here, and there’s a lot to digest. Rather, there are a whopping 26 tracks to go through, counting the three bonus songs, and a couple of interesting features. Of course, one of the most hyped and acclaimed so far has been Nicki Minaj’s contributions to the song “Endless Fashion,” where she has a few back-and-forth bars with Uzi plus her own verse. Moreover, the New York rap star recently spoke on her appearance on Pink Tape with Uzi’s flame JT, who wanted to commend Nicki for handing her verse in quickly. Then, Nicki explained what the process for that verse looked like.

“Can I tell them how fast you turned your verse in” JT tweeted at Nicki Minaj. “I almost had a heart attack today! You really too real & raw I love you.” “Girl I started @ 8am & finished like 5pm,” she replied. “When I tell you I was exhausted by the time I was done. Lol. B/c I was rushing to get it in on time. I kept telling [them] ’30 mins’ then hitting [them] back 2 hours later TB 15-20 more minutes Uzi!!!! I did that ALL DAY LONG YO.”

Nicki Minaj Speaks On Her Verse For Uzi’s Pink Tape

Across the 40-year-old’s killer verse, there are plenty of brag-heavy bars, clever instances of wordplay, and the charisma and technical skill you expect from a true vet like Nicki Minaj. “B***hes only eatin’ when I dust crumbs” and “I was really in the field with Karl Lager’, now it’s Heaven campaigns (R.I.P.)” are just a few standout lines. In addition, the song creatively and somewhat cheekily interpolates the melody of Eiffel 65’s memed-out hit “Blue (Da Ba Dee).” After all, what’s a Lil Uzi Vert project without some creative and pop-culture-rooted sampling?

Meanwhile, fan reception to the project in the few hours since it released has been nothing short of praiseful. Many longtime fans expressed their love of the project despite its long runtime, as they really channel what made them resonate with fans in 2016 and earlier. Overall, Uzi has an album of the year contender on their hands, and it’s hard to deny how infectious these songs are. For more news and the latest updates on Lil Uzi Vert, JT, and Nicki Minaj, come back to HNHH.
