Bad Bunny x Adidas Forum Low “Cangrejeros:” First Look

Bad Bunny and Adidas are continuing their successful collaboration with a new version of the Forum Low. The German brand and the Grammy-award-winning artist are celebrating Puerto Rican hoops. The upcoming Bad Bunny x Adidas Forum Low “Cangrejeros” colorway honors the Puerto Rican basketball team Los Cangrejeros de Santurce. Furthermore, Bad Bunny is also co-owner of the basketball team.

Recently, Adidas made an enormous appearance at All-Star Weekend. The brand showcased many of its upcoming 2023 products in Salt Lake City. According to the Adidas website the Adidas x Bad Bunny collaboration is an extension of Bad Bunny’s creative vision, from Puerto Rico to the world.

The Bad Bunny X Adidas Forum Low “Cangrejeros de Santurce”

The collab is a perfect way to continue their collaboration as Adidas and Adidas Basketball celebrate their on-court heritage. The Adidas Forum continues to take over the spotlight for the Three Stripes brand. Additionally, adorned on the shoe are the Los Cangrejeros de Santurce logos and signature orange, navy, and cream colorway. Written on the signature velcro straps are the words “Santurce” and “Cangrejeros” in orange. Decorated on the dual tongues is the basketball crab logo. Other highlights of the shoe include three different lace color options including grey, navy blue, and orange. Elsewhere, the years 2000, 2001, 2003, and 2007 embellished the shoe’s midsoles. These years represent the team’s eight championships. In addition, drawstring detailing decorates the back of the shoe adding an extra streetwear flare to the sneaker.

Equally important, the shoe label recently suffered a severe commercial loss, as a result of the dissolution of Kanye West and Adidas’ partnership. It brings up the question of whether the Puerto Rican superstar will fill in the void and legacy left by Ye. Moreover, the collaboration has already been quite successful for both the shoe label and the artist. There is no doubt that Bad Bunny might be next in line for the Adidas throne. The Bad Bunny x Adidas Forum Low “Cangrejeros” sneakers are expected to release in 2023 on the Adidas website and select retailers. A date and price point have not been officially announced. Macklemore Asks His 7-Year-Old Daughter To Direct His Music Video In A Heartwarming Clip

With his new album, Ben, arriving soon, Macklemore is being candid about his recent struggles with relapsing to show how far he’s come now. It’s obvious that he’s in a bright place — and a new wholesome video with his daughter, Sloane Ava Simone, proved that even further.

In the clip, which he shared to Instagram, Macklemore asks his 7 year old to direct one of his music videos. He starts by saying, “I’m a little bit nervous asking this, if I’m being honest. You know how the other day you were doing like the Bogey Boys, like producing?”

He continues: “You knew exactly what you wanted. I was so impressed with your work ethic, with your eye. I love your visual aesthetic. I absolutely love your style. I’ve been trying to think of a music video for ‘No Bad Days.’”

“Crazy idea, and if you don’t like it we don’t have to do it,” he says. “‘No Bad Days’ music video, I need a director.” Finally, he asks: “And I was thinking, what if you directed the music video?” She tears up before he even finishes asking, and they embrace each other in a big hug. She says yes, of course.

Robert Downey Jr.’s MCU Fate Revealed

Marvel has confirmed that Robert Downey Jr. will not be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Vice President of Production and Development at Marvel Studios, Stephen Broussard, says Iron Man options “aren’t on the table.” As can be seen, Iron Man died in Marvel’s most successful film yet, Avengers: Endgame. Furthermore, He sacrificed himself to save the world. His funeral topped off the emotional scenes of his final moments. However, Broussard says that, since then, the MCU is now in a huge transition period. Now, they’re moving away from the Avengers narrative and Phase Five will connect everything released in Phase Four.

Specifically, Broussard told io9, “I think one of the meta-narratives of Phase Four was about new characters. It was about new people stepping into mantles. If you look at, like, Cassie [Lang in Quantumania] getting a suit and Kate Bishop [in Hawkeye], new characters being introduced like Jack in Werewolf by Night. After these first 10 years of Marvel storytelling, torches are being passed, like with Robert Downey Jr. no longer being [on the] table and stuff like that. So, it was kind of like a new generation stepping to the forefront which, again, has always happened in the comics.”

Additionally, This news comes with the announcement that Harrison Ford is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ford has appeared in some of the biggest film franchises in the world– from Star Wars to Indiana Jones. Rightfully, there are high expectations for him in the MCU. He will replace William Hurt, who passed away in March at the age of 71. Hurt played Thaddeus E ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross in the MCU. Ford will now play the character.

Fans have already seen his character, Thunderbolt, in The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Black Widow. Furthermore, in the fifth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sebastian Stan and Florence Pugh will star a stand-alone Thunderbolts film. The film is set to follow a group of supervillains who are recruited to go on missions for the government. Additionally, Ford has also signed a deal with Marvel to appear in Captain America: New World Order, as well.

Anthony Mackie Offers Crucial Update On Captain America

Anthony Mackie has to follow in some big footsteps as the new Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Steve Rogers left a mark on the MCU as a former leader of the Avengers. However, Mackie’s new version of Captain America may not be stepping into that same role. Marvel has shared that Captain America will be a crucial part of The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars, but he may not lead the team. Empire Magazine interviewed Anthony Mackie. In the interview, Mackie discussed Captain America: New World Order. Empire asked about the potential for Sam Wilson to step up as the leader of the Avengers. Read what Mackie said below:

“Sam is the only character without superpowers. He’s just a regular dude hanging out with a bunch of weirdos. Being from New Orleans, I’ve been in a few fights. And heart and charisma never helped me in a fight. That usually just got me beat up. So that might cause an issue when you go fight somebody like Thanos. So, I think with him, he has to come to the stage with a very different understanding of what it is to be a good guy or be a bad guy and what are the decisions that make you toe that line in the way that you did.” He continued, “so I just see him as more of a humane Cap as opposed to a distinctive judge Cap — [a] Cap of judgment, where this is right and this is wrong. There are decisions that make you choose right or wrong.”

Mackie As Captain America

Captain America was crucial to many wars. For one, he was pivotal to a World War, as well as the Battle of New York. Additionally, He was a prime leader in the storyline of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. Even during Avengers: Endgame, Rogers’ impact was undeniable. With Anthony Mackie bringing the hero back, he has big shoes to fill. There could be a new war coming for him to make a great impact on. This could even serve as a catalyst for the arrival of a new film with a certain X-Men character in the future.

In December, rumors surfaced that the plot of Captain America: New World Order would introduce the element Adamantium into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Adamantium was a crucial element for the creation of Wolverine’s claws and bones. Apparently, the element will be discovered on Tiamat Island, where the giant Celestial was left in the middle of the ocean at the end of the Eternals. Surprisingly, the giant Celestial has not been reported on in the MCU, other than a quick newspaper seen in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. May 3, 2024 is the set release date for Captain America: New World Order.

On ‘City Girls: The Series’

Image via MGX

In 2019, JT of the City Girls was released from prison after serving over a year of time for credit card fraud charges. They went back to work immediately, releasing “First Day Out” that day. Here’s how the MGX guys would describe their project, which documented that time:

Gill: Unapologetic creative expression. That project is saying that [even when] in the face of people criticizing and trying to take you [down], when people are unapologetically creative and not contrived, that’s something that truly inspires people. When you’re unapologetically you in doing you and people are uncomfortable—that’s the sh*t moves the needle for a lot of people, in this case, a lot of women, a lot of men too. And I think it’s important.

Malikyar: One other thing to add to that too would be friendship and loyalty. It was cool to see the relationship between the two of them and how genuinely loyal they were and looked out for each other in the different roles they play in that friendship. Because I would hope everybody has a best friend or that figure in their life. I feel like they’re representative of that relationship for other people in their own way, of course. But that bond is still the same.

On Marshmello’s Projects

Image via Publicist

For the first few years of their career, while still in college, they worked to help further define Marshmello’s brand and tackle the question of ‘why is this silent sensation dominating our culture?’ Here’s how they would define what he illuminates:

Malikyar: I think humanity would be one and connectivity would be the other. And the reason why is the ethos behind the idea of Marshmallo is that we are all Marshmallo. He’s a character. It’s open for interpretation. It’s so global, everybody sees themself in Marshmalloe and you can beat anything. And it’s supposed to shed light on the fact that this character is a little piece of all of us. And it serves as a medium to express that idea. It’s almost like the superhero, the Batman, the whatever, you put on that helmet and you can be whoever you want to be type of thing. I don’t know if you have anything to add to that.

Gill: His character doesn’t speak yet for some reason it’s cut through in all these different communities around the world, which all that says is that we’re a lot more connected as people than we all think. And I think what our music video series did was the goal of it was to create, and if you get time to watch any of them, one of them is about bullying, one about first love, one about your friends moving, one’s about problems you go through at home. These things that humans—whether you’re in India, the Philippines, Kentucky or Los Angeles—are experiencing. The connected aspect of the brand was really what we tried to do with these music videos. And what we tried to [have] people understand [is] that we’re all connected.

On Takeoff

Image via MGX

On Nov. 1, 2022, Takeoff was killed at the age of 28. The guys process, and reflect on their time with the Migos, then Unc & Phew, member:

Gill: It’s just really heartbreaking from the times that we worked with Takeoff, he was genuinely the nicest, most kind, thoughtful would stay after the shoot for hours to talk. I remember after one of the shoots, he stayed after an hour just to play [Culture II] for Daniel and I. And we were just like, “Wow, what a nice human being.” So through the documentary medium, you get to really connect with some of these artists in a vulnerable kind of human way that you can’t really if you’re shooting their music video or they’re in a commercial per se. We were able to get a lens into these artists’ world, and by no means did we have a 20-year relationship with them, but through these projects, we got to know them in a certain way and I guess the simplest way to put it is it’s just heartbreaking.

Malikyar: One other note, too, just reflecting on it, it just also shines a light on the fragility of everything.

On ‘Untrapped: The Story of Lil Baby’

Image via Publicist

Over the course of 12 months, MGX Creative shadowed Lil Baby and told his story and those of many in his city. They process on what the project brought to light:

Gill: Socioeconomics and growth. Baby’s story illuminates a lot of the larger socioeconomic issues that our country is facing now and has been facing and the communities that exist because of that, that don’t ever get talked about. And people don’t ever take the time to actually understand, not from a baseline level, from a deeper mental, psychological level. The fact that doc about being mentally trapped because of where you’re from, have not seen that presented that way. The socioeconomic trap is not just a physical, monetary, literal trap; it’s also the mental world that America creates for certain communities. That’s the first part.

The second is growth; being able to see the power of growth in an artist in a person of color is so important to highlight because it’s going to allow other people of color and other individuals that may feel trapped to say, well if they can do it. Maybe I can do that. Maybe I won’t be the biggest rapper. Maybe I’ll be able to put myself through college. Or maybe I won’t be the biggest rapper. Maybe I’ll be able to go get a job at an insurance company. Whatever you’re thinking.

Fun Fact On ‘Ice Cold: A Hip-Hop Jewelry Story’

The artist who turned rappers into Renaissance paintings for the trailer of Ice Cold: A Hip-Hop Jewelry Story was an 18-year-old in Florence, Italy, with under 200 followers at the time.

Tommie Lee Calls Out Chris Brown’s BM: “F*ck Your Baby & His Daddy, Too”

A couple of reality stars will soon meet in the boxing ring, but first, Natalie Nunn and Tommie Lee are airing one another out on social media. Nunn and Lee rose to fame for their often hot-headed personalities, which has helped them amass fans worldwide. Not only that—the pair have inked lucrative deals due to their love-hate relationship with the public, and this Saturday, they’re stepping into the ring.

Nunn and Lee will be throwing fisticuffs live on the Zeus network, and to help hype the fight, they’ve engaged in social media antics. Videos of the pair warring it out both verbally and physically have emerged, including a clip that shows Lee pulling Nunn’s wig off. Later, Nunn claimed Lee disrespected Chris Brown, and it all had to do with the singer’s young son.

Natalie Nunn Accuses Tommie Lee Of Acting Inappropriately

The Neighborhood Talk shared a video of Nunn, Winter Banco, and Baddies star Rollie. They group was reportedly in London at Chris Brown’s concert when things went left. “Natalie got us backstage with Chris Brown,” said Rollie. “Once we was headed to our section with Chris Brown and his team, why the f*ck did Tommie see Chris Brown baby and was like, ‘Oh, his baby is so cute.’ They grabbed the baby and put him in the room. She smacked the door in. They went ballistic. Why would you do something like that and put me and Johnathan and Natalie in danger? We literally had to fight off three different n*ggas ’cause of what Tommie did. And she was drunk!”

Things escalated when Lee hopped on Livestream to address the allegations. She didn’t do much to quell the controversy, and instead, it seemed that she insulted young Aeko. “Imagine me, for a baby that ain’t even mine, to knock a door down. Is you f*ckin’ serious?” Lee said in a video. “Please. So, that’s what they came up with? Run the cameras, I know they got ’em back there. Oh, okay. I’m standing there, knocking down a door to see a baby.” She claimed she didn’t even know the child was there.

Tommie Lee Insults Ammika Harris & Aeko Brown

After calling Nunn & Co. liars, Lee claimed it was Aeko’s mother, Ammika Harris, who slammed the door. Then, Lee seemed to go off about Harris, but little Aeko caught a stray. “I don’t care about your baby. F*ck your baby,” she said. “And f*ck his daddy, too. The f*ck? Really. Like, girl. I ain’t pressed ’bout no motherf*ckin baby. F*ck him. All y’all look albino as f*ck. F*ck all y’all motherf*ckers.” Reactions about this are just beginning to pour in, but you can check it out above and below.
