Though he’s had to postpone the highly anticipated Young Money reunion due to a case of COVID, Drake’s annual OVO Fest has still been a monumental one as the father of one has been showing plenty of love to his fellow Canadians.

One of the most buzzworthy moments from night one happened when Champagne Papi brought out Grammy Award winner Nelly Furtado to perform some of her biggest hits like “Promiscuous” and “Turn Off The Light.” The two also sang her 2002 classic, “I’m Like A Bird” together, pleasing both the audience and the internet.

That wasn’t the only female artist that Drizzy had in store for fans, though. The 35-year-old also recruited “Unpredictable” singer Keshia Chanté, who he just so happens to have a romantic past with.

“This next person coming to the stage, I used to get in my mom’s car and I used to drive all the way to the west for this one right here, you feel me? So I have to personally introduce her,” Drake said ahead of the TV personality’s set. “This is my first girlfriend I ever had in my life,” he added.

As it turns out, Chanté is long-speculated to be the “KiKi” that the Scorpion rapper sings about on “In My Feelings.”

Chanté went on to give a rousing performance of some of her biggest hits, which she’s since commemorated with a photo dump on her Instagram page.

“Legendary Nights in Toronto,” the 34-year-old wrote. “I’ve never seen the city come together like that!! It was everything. A dream only @champagnepapi could make true. The most heartfelt and meaningful introduction I’ve ever had. Aubs I love u for life.”

She continued to praise the 6ix, writing, “Performing songs I dropped in my teen years and hearing you sing all the words, made my soul so happy. Such a beautiful memory I will cherish forever. Toronto you have been riding for me since the very beginning and I am so grateful for the love.”

As their new collaboration racks up streaming numbers, King Combs is officially welcoming Kodak Black into the Bad Boy family. Christian “King” Combs is the rapping doppelganger of his famous father Sean “Diddy” Combs, and he shows just how closely he’s studied his dad’s career with each new release. We previously reported on King’s single “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” featuring Kodak Black which samples the Lil Kim classic “Crush on You,” and following its release, Combs got the Florida rapper a thank you gift.

Combs was back online recently to show that he gave Kodak a Bad Boy chain with the official iced-out logo. “You know what it is man,” Combs said in a video. “New generation of Bad Boy.”

Kodak was flanked by his team at a festival when he received the expensive piece that was created by famed celebrity jewelry designer, Elliot Eliantte. Combs has been promoting this track heavily, even earning a few reposts from Lil Kim as she celebrates “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” with her Bad Boy family.

In the caption to his video with Kodak, Combs added, “Had to bless my brother with the official Bad Boy chain! Welcome to the family! @KodakBlack THANK YOU for locking in and making this hit with me! #CantStopWontStop out now on all platforms!”

Just two weeks after Kodak Black’s Florida arrest shocked both the rapper and his fan base, police footage of the incident has surfaced online, giving us a look at just how chaotic things really were for the Back For Everything artist on July 15th.

Yak was stopped by police while cruising through Fort Lauderdale in his Dodge Durango, with the officers claiming he had too much tint and that they could smell marijuana coming from the car. Upon conducting a search, they uncovered 31 Oxycodone pills and almost $75K in cash.

The leaked video finds Kodak sitting shirtless in the backseat of a cruiser, his agitation becoming more obvious as time goes on. At one particularly tense point, the “Love & War” artist smacks himself in the head, shouting, “F*ck bro. Damn, dawg!”

Officers on the scene allowed the rapper a chance to speak with his brother, and around the same time, they informed him that they would have to wait on a decision from their supervisor before being able to confirm if Yak could keep his cash.

“My shit ain’t smell like weed. I don’t smoke weed. I ain’t smoke nothing, you feel me? He didn’t smell marijuana,” the clearly stressed-out star said after a few moments of silence. “Damn bro, f*ck, dawg.”

Following his release from jail, Kodak hopped on Twitter to rant about the experience. “This shit bogus af I feel like this a character assassination issue cuz there’s no way I should be getting harassed bout my tag being expired,” he posted last month.

“That’s no reason to even search my car in the first place and going to jail about having my medication in the car is insane. Ima Sue these people for every dollar I gotta spend bout this shit!”

U.S. Magistrate Judge Jonathan Goodman has placed Kodak Black on house arrest and given him a $225K surety bond to pay. On top of that, the controversial rapper must also submit to drug testing, wear a GPS ankle monitor, and remain at home unless for medical reasons, court appearances, or employment.

She’s an accomplished singer-songwriter who has earned awards that most artists have only dreamed of, but that didn’t stop Diane Warren from learning something new on Twitter. Warren is responsible for delivering some of the world’s most beloved tracks including songs with Celine Dion, Aerosmith, Mariah Carey, Xscape, TLC, Keyshia Cole, Patti LaBelle, Cher, Brandy, El DeBarge, Chaka Khan, Monica, Ginuwine, and Ciara. Even with dozens upon dozens of artists listed as collaborators and decades of experience in the industry under her belt, Warren took to Twitter to question why Beyoncé had so many writers listed on her song—24, to be exact.

“This isn’t meant as shade, I’m just curious,” she stated, seemingly oblivious to writing credits of sampled music. The inquiry prompted a response from The-Dream who not only has credits on Bey’s latest hit project Renaissance but on several of her other albums, as well. 

The hitmaking, award-winning songwriter has long collaborated with Beyoncé and is one of her go-to musicians to work with when she develops a new project. Dream, who knows Warren, decided to answer her question with a history lesson.

“You mean how’s does our (Black) culture have so many writers,” he said. “Well it started because we couldn’t afford certain things starting out,so we started sampling and it became an Artform, a major part of the Black Culture (hip hop) in America.Had that era not happen who knows. U good?”

Warren sensed an attitude as replied, “I didn’t mean that as an attack or as disrespect. I didn’t know this, thank U for making me aware of it. No need to be mean about it.” Dream chimed in with one last thought.

“Btw I know it’s not a one on one writing contest you looking for from no one over here…… you don’t want that smoke And you know I love you, but come on. Stop acting like your records haven’t been sampled [eyeballs emoji][crying laughing emoji][rocket emoji].”

It seems more and more celebrities are considering joining OnlyFans these days. Following both O’Ryan and Sami Sheen’s promotion of their profiles on the platform, Megan Fox has hinted at starting an account of her own with reality star Kourtney Kardashian.

On Monday (August 1), the Transformers actress shared some behind-the-scenes snapshots from her and the California native’s SKIMS photoshoot that was released nearly a year ago. “BTS of my SKIMS shoot with Kourtney,” she wrote in the caption. “Should we start an OnlyFans?”

The pair’s brand campaign was sexy, no doubt, and even stirred up some controversy as they were accused of stealing the idea from Black creators who had taken similar snaps years ago.

In the main photo, the two beauties can be seen looking up at the polaroid camera while on their knees, Kardashian’s famous behind visible on one side of the frame. Others see them straddling one another on top of a toilet with their tongues out and relaxing in their black SKIMS sets.

“We’re so cute,” the mother of three wrote back to her friend in the comment section.

Others left responses suggesting that they’d definitely subscribe to the duo’s OnlyFans, writing things like “Don’t threaten us with a good time,” and “Y’all should just date each other.”

For her part, Kardashian is married to Travis Barker (they celebrated with three separate ceremonies, the last of which was in Italy, earlier this year) and Fox is engaged to Machine Gun Kelly after he proposed to her in Puerto Rico at the start of this year.
