Brent Faiyaz Share The Plans He Has For His Previously Announced Project, ‘Make It Out Alive’

Earlier this month, Brent Faiyaz released his long-awaited second album Wasteland. While the project was his first official album since 2017’s Sonder Son, it was also Brent’s first body of work since 2020’s F*ck The World. Wasteland arrived with 19 songs and features from Drake, Tyler The Creator, Alicia Keys, Joony, and Tre’ Amani, however, there was a point where many thought the project would be released under a different title: Make It Out Alive. During a recent sit-down with Complex’s Jordan Rose, Brent explained that his second album did not undergo a name change, but rather a separate body of work was created.

“I still have a project I want to put out called Make It Out Alive,” Brent said during the conversation. “That’s still in the works—it’s just not this one, because I love the title Wasteland and I love what it represents.” He continued, “I have an idea in my head of what I want Make It Out Alive to be, but all of the songs that I have been making up until this point didn’t fit that title. I wasn’t in the headspace to put that body of work out.”

For what it’s worth, Make It Out Alive seems like the perfect transition from the events that conclude Wasteland. So, if the project does end up being Brent’s third album, it would be interesting to see where he takes things after the success of Wasteland.

Nardo Wick Is Live From The Shadows In The Taunting Video For ‘Demon Mode’

Jacksonville rapper Nardo Wick concluded his 2021 year with the release of his Who Is Nardo Wick? project. The body of work delivered 18 songs and features from Future, Lil Baby, Hit-Boy, G Herbo, Lil Durk, 21 Savage, Lakeyah, and Big30. Who Is Nardo Wick? was a great look for Nardo as it earned him co-signs from all over the rap world as well as an inclusion in the 2022 XXL Freshman Class. A little over seven months from that project’s release, Nardo returns with a deluxe reissue and a brand new video.

Nardo Wick gets back to work with a video for “Demon Mode,” one of twelve new songs that appear on the deluxe of Who Is Nardo Wick?. In the visual, Nardo is surrounded by his crew in a dimly lit room as they show their unity while flaunting their stacks of money and collection of jewelry.

Kid Cudi Made An Early Exit From His Rolling Loud Set After Fans Kept Throwing Objects At Him Onstage

The original 2022 Rolling Loud Miami Festival lineup did not feature Kid Cudi in it. However, after Kanye West made a last-minute exit from the showcase, something he’s already done at another big festival this year, it was Cudi that they asked to replace Kanye. The ask is quite the timely one as Cudi has been active as of late. He just released his The Boy Who Flew To The Moon Vol. 1 greatest hits project and uploaded his beloved A Kid Named Cudi mixtape to streaming services. A Rolling Loud performance was supposed to top it all off, but his set on Friday night did not go as planned.

Throughout his performance, Cudi was hit with a number of objects by hecklers in the crowd — some of who were obvious Kanye West fans seemingly irritated that the rapper was replaced with someone he is at odds with. Finally, after dealing with enough thrown objects, Cudi issued a warning to the audience. “I will f*cking leave,” he said bluntly. “If I get hit with one more f*cking thing — if I see one more f*cking thing on this f*cking stage, I’m leaving!” Shortly after saying that, another fan threw an object onstage, and true to his word, Cudi made an early exit for the night.

Despite originally backing out of the festival, Kanye West made an appearance at Rolling Loud a short time later during Lil Durk’s set.

You can view the incident and watch Cudi’s reaction in the videos above.

Kanye West Was A Surprise Guest During Lil Durk’s Rolling Loud Set Despite Dropping Out As A Headliner

For those who had plans to attend this year’s Rolling Loud Festival in Miami, the hope was to see a great set from Kanye West as it would be his first big performance since his Larry Hoover Benefit Concert at the end of last year. Kanye’s first big show of the year should’ve been during Coachella back in April, but he dropped out of his headlining slot at the last minute. While Kanye signed on to headline day one of Miami’s Rolling Loud Festival, he once again dropped out at the last second leaving the showcase to replace him with Kid Cudi. However, Kanye still opted to make an appearance during the night.

During Lil Durk’s set on Friday, which interestingly enough, took place after Cudi’s headlining set at a different stage, Kanye West surprised fans by coming out for brief performances “Father Strech My Hands, Pt. 1” and their verses on Cardi B’s “Hot Sh*t.” It’s hard to ignore that Kanye dropped out of the festival just to appear and perform a song that not only features the artist he was replaced with but one that he is currently at odds with.

Kanye first expressed his issues with Cudi earlier this year prior to the release of Donda 2. He announced that Cudi would not appear on the album due to his friendship with Pete Davidson, who is of course dating West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

Leonard Fournette Jokes About His Weight Gain With Meme On Twitter

Leonard Fournette made light of recent reports that he checked into Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s training camp overweight on Monday by sharing a meme of himself on Twitter. Tampa Bay Times’ Rick Stroud reports that the team’s coaches were unhappy with his condition when he arrived to the facility.

“Camp in 2 days love y’all I’m off,” Fournette captioned a photo of his face edited over another person’s body.

Fournette’s trainer Jordan Bush recently admitted that he did weigh in higher than desired, according to The Athletic.

“Honestly, he did return to us a little bit bigger than we wanted,” Bush said. “He was also in the sauna every day, getting extra cardio every single day. We called it ‘fat camp,’ just to mess around with him, but he was doing that type of stuff every single day. We could see the weight coming off.”

Fournette has played a key role for the Bucs as the team’s primary running back. He was rewarded in March with a three-year, $21 million extension to stay with the team.

In 2021, Fournette rushed for 812 yards and eight touchdowns while catching 69 passes for 454 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games.

The Bucs will take on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 of the regular season.

The first trailer for Marvel’s highly-anticipated Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premiered at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday night. The two-minute teaser shows what direction the sequel will go without the franchise’s star, Chadwick Boseman, who passed away in 2020.

As for how the sequel will handle Boseman’s passing, director Ryan Coogler addressed the topic at Comic-Con: “It’s going to be hard to follow that up, but we’ll try. It’s been five years since I was here. I sat about there and we premiered the first footage from ‘Black Panther 1,’ and sitting next to me was our T’Challa, the late great Chadwick Boseman.”

The trailer begins with a rendition of “No Woman No Cry” playing in the background, before transitioning into Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright,”

The film will also not feature Daniel Kaluuya, who was unable to contribute to the movie due to a scheduling conflict with Jordan Peele’s newest horror flick, Nope.

As for who will be in the movie, in addition to Bassett, Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira, Florence Kasumba, and Winston Duke are all set to appear.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled to hit theaters on November 11, 2022.

DaBaby Admits Support For Donald Trump After Kodak Black Pardon: “Trump Is A Gangsta”

DaBaby says that he’s cool with Donald Trump due to the former President’s last-minute pardon of Kodak Black in 2020. The “Babysitter” rapper discussed his opinion of Trump during a recent interview on the Full Send Podcast

“Do I fuck with Trump? Now, hell yeah,” DaBaby remarked when asked by the hosts about his opinion on the former President.

When asked what made him come around on Trump, DaBaby explained, “Trump is a gangsta. He let Kodak out.”

He added that he would consider being a “campaign partner” for Trump as well.

Trump commuted Black’s sentence after the rapper was charged in a firearms possession case in 2020. Black has since been a vocal supporter of Trump. The former President also pardoned a sentence for Lil Wayne.

The Full Send hosts previously interviewed Trump during an episode of their show back in March, where they discussed the possibility of World War III, Joe Rogan, Vladimir Putin, and more.

DaBaby certainly wasn’t always a fan of Trump. Back in 2020, he shared a text he received from Trump’s campaign team with the comment, “F–K YALL,” and asked, “Who gave bruh nem my number?” He also once stated that he’d be supporting Kanye West’s presidential bid in 2020.

Sydney Sweeney Trolls Red Sox After Historic 28-5 Loss: “Should’ve Put Me In”

Sydney Sweeney trolled the Red Sox on social media after tossing out the first pitch for their game against the Blue Jays in Boston on Friday night. The Euphoria star joked that she should’ve been on the mound for the Sox after the team suffered a historic 28-5 loss.

“They should’ve put me in,” Sweeney captioned a series of photos of herself at Fenway Park on Friday night.

For the night, Sweeney rocked a cropped Red Sox jersey with high-waisted jean shorts and red Golden Goose low-top sneakers.

Among the myriad of mistakes committed by Boston during the game included allowing an inside-the-park grand slam, which was the first in the MLB since September 2017. All-in-all, 28 runs are the most ever given up by a Red Sox team. It was also a franchise record for runs for the Blue Jays.

“That was awesome,” Blue Jays interim manager John Schneider said of the big victory. “Before the game, we talked about how you can come out a little bit sleepy or we can come out hot. We came out hot.”

The Red Sox now fall to 48-47 on the season, ranking 4th in the AL East.

As the Migos have risen in popularity, the video for “Bando” has amassed millions of views on YouTube. The song was included on the group’s mixtape, No Label.

In the near decade since the video’s release, Quavo has blown up into one of hip-hop’s biggest stars. Later this year, he’ll expand his career even further by venturing into the film industry. He’s set to star in several projects, including Wash Me in the River alongside Robert De Niro, John Malkovich, and more.

Speaking with GQ in a recent interview, Quavo explained that he wants to follow a similar career trajectory to Ice Cube.

“I kind of want to be like an Ice Cube when it comes to rapping and acting,” he told the outlet. “I don’t think people realize what that man did. He did it culturally in the music and with the movies. I feel like that’s what the world’s missing right now.”
