Bad Bunny’s ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ Goes No. 1 Again While Doing Something That Hasn’t Been Done Since Adele’s ’25’

There’s little that Bad Bunny has accomplished in 2022. He body-slammed Brock Lesnar at the 2022 WWE Royal Rumble. He landed the role of a wrestling superhero in El Muerto, a new Spider-Man spinoff movie. He turn up in the New York City streets and somewhat had a wedding of his own. He even broke a Spotify record along the way. Altogether, it has made for a pretty impressive year that also featured the release of his fourth album Un Verano Sin Ti, which has absolutely dominated the album charts. For a fourth consecutive and sixth overall week, Un Verano Sin Ti is No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

For the July 30, 2022-dated Billboard 200, Un Verano Sin Ti reclaims its No. 1 crown thanks to 103,000 copies sold in the past week. That number is heavily comprised of streams thanks to 143.15 million on-demand official streams of the album’s tracks. With another week of 100,000 or more album sales (11 in total), Bad Bunny becomes the first to reach that number for this feat since Adele made it to 14 weeks six years ago with 25. Un Verano Sin Ti is also the first album to spend its first 11 weeks within the top two positions of the Billboard 200 since Drake’s Views did so for 17 weeks between May 21 — September 10, 2016.

Additionally, Bad Bunny’s fourth album could surpass the Encanto soundtrack for most weeks at No. 1 in 2022. The Encanto soundtrack spent nine weeks in total atop the Billboard 200 while Un Verano Sin Ti has registered six weeks in total.

Future Brought Out Travis Scott At Rolling Loud After The Festival Said He Was Not Banned From The Miami Show

The first day of Rolling Loud’s 2022 Miami Festival was a bit rocky for a couple of reasons. First, Kanye West, who was supposed to headline the first day but canceled at the last second, still appeared at the show as a guest during Lil Durk’s set. Elsewhere, Kid Cudi made an early exit from his headlining slot after fans refused to stop throwing objects at him. Day two proved to be a bit better, and the highlight of the day came when Future brought out Travis Scott to perform some songs during his headlining slot.

The two kicked things off with a performance of “Hold That Heat,” a record by producer Southside that both Future and Travis guest featured on. Elsewhere, Travis also performed “Goosebumps,” and he seemed extremely happy to be back performing on the big stage during it. Travis even lent some vocals to Future as he performed “March Madness.”

Travis’ surprise Rolling Loud appearance comes after the festival denied that he was banned from the Miami show. Furthermore, a spokesperson for Rolling Loud said that the festival even tried to have Travis headline the show, but it proved to be too difficult to do with too little time. “We reached out to Travis to headline Rolling Loud, but it couldn’t work in such a short time,” the spokesperson said. “This had nothing to do with any restrictions from the hosting venue Hard Rock Stadium.”

Draymond Green Trolls Karl-Anthony Towns Over “Championship Or Bust” Comment

Draymond Green doesn’t appear concerned about Karl-Anthony Towns’ recent projection for the Minnesota Timberwolves. In response to Towns’ “championship now or bust” expectation, Green commented with several laughing emojis on social media.

“It’s go time,” Towns said. “The [Rudy Gobert] trade happens. There’s no more time. There are no more excuses. We’ve got to get it done now. It’s championship now or bust. Got to go out there and get the job done.”

While the Timberwolves have a lot of talent of their roster, including Rudy Gobert, Anthony Edwards, and D’Angelo Russell, in addition to Towns, not many experts expect them to be much of an NBA Finals contender.

In the 2021-22 season, the T-Wolves went 46-36, making the playoffs, but losing in the first round to the Memphis Grizzlies in six games.

Green and the Golden State Warriors, on the other hand, won the NBA Finals over the Boston Celtics in six games for their fourth championship in eight seasons. Green averaged 6.2 points, 6.2 assists, and 8.0 rebounds per game for the series.

Despite the championship, Green didn’t go without his fair share of criticism during the series. Many fans and members of the media were upset with the four-time NBA All-Star’s commitment to his podcast during the Finals.

True could be seen wearing a Chicago Bulls t-shirt, likely supporting her dad Tristan Thompson’s current NBA team.

The family event comes after it was reported that Khloé is expecting her second child via surrogate with Thompson. Regardless, Khloé recently split with the NBA star after learning that he had fathered a child with fitness influencer Maralee Nichols during their relationship.

“Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing,” a rep for Khloé told Page Six earlier this month. “We’d like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloé can focus on her family.”

Ahead of the birth of their next child, Thompson was recently seen partying in Greece with a mystery woman. Despite the spotting, Khloé appeared unbothered in a post on her Instagram afterward.

“Don’t forget, the crown may tilt at times but it never falls,” she captioned a photo of herself in a bikini.

After being helped to his feet, Morello returned to his post and the band continued performing.

Rage Against The Machine’s long-awaited reunion tour has had a tumultuous start. The tour was originally scheduled for 2020, but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. After finally starting up earlier this year, de la Rocha injured his leg at a show in Chicago and had to finish the concert while sitting down.

There have also been many highlights during the tour. At a recent gig in Wisconsin, the group displayed messages in protest of the Supreme Court and raised $475,000 for reproductive rights organizations in Wisconsin and Illinois.

The reunion tour began earlier this month and is scheduled to run through next April, with a break from September to February.

Davante Adams Clarifies Derek Carr-Aaron Rodgers Comment With Rap Comparison

Las Vegas Raiders’ star Davante Adams has clarified his recent comments on Derek Carr and his former Green Bay Pakcers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. Adams had remarked that both players are Hall of Famers.

“Anytime you change quarterbacks from Hall of Famer to Hall of Famer … it’s going to be a little bit of an adjustment,” Adams told CBS Sports, prompting fans to theorize that it was intended as a diss to the more distinguished Rodgers.

Speaking with the media on Sunday, Adams made an analogy to hip hop to explain his previous statement.

“Being a rapper, it’s very vital, you’ve got to have the bars, obviously,” Adams said. “You know you’ve got to have the bars. The line’s got to be there. But a very, very vital and critical piece of being a rapper is the delivery, right? I wasn’t a great rapper the other day.”

He continued: “What I’m not going to do is take away from that statement because, Why is Derek not a Hall of Famer? What I meant, I left one key word out of there because that’s not exactly what I meant. But I do think that Derek’s career is Hall of Fame-worthy, and why not? Does he have the MVPs right now? No. Has he won a Super Bowl? Not yet. That’s obviously what we’re chasing.”

Throughout his 18-year career, Rodgers has won the league MVP award four times and was also named MVP of the Packers’ Super Bowl XLV win. Carr has been named to the Pro Bowl rosters three times and has set numerous franchise passing records for the Raiders.

“But what I meant to say was, ‘Even if you go Hall of Famer to Hall of Famer, it’s an adjustment.’ I wasn’t saying, ‘Hall of Famer Aaron to Hall of Famer Derek.’ So, I’m not retracting my statement at all,” Adams added.

After having caught passes from Rodgers with the Green Bay Packers since he was drafted into the NFL in 2014, Adams joined the Raiders, earlier this year. He will make his regular-season debut with the organization against the Las Angeles Chargers on September 11.

Bad Bunny’s “Un Verano Sin Ti” Challenges Billboard Records Set By Adele & Drake

Bad Bunny’s surprise 23-track release, Un Verano Sin Ti, is proving to be the album that just won’t quit this summer. Following a streak similar to the one Drake did with Views back in 2016, the Latin rap project has remained in constant rotation these past few weeks.

When Brent Faiyaz shared his Wasteland album earlier this month, it was projected that he would likely take home the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, though he ultimately came in second to Bunny, whose fourth studio album hit DSPs on May 6th.

As Uproxx reports, the upcoming Billboard 200 chart for July 30th reveals that Un Verano Sin Ti has reclaimed its spot at the top after moving 103K copies in the past week alone.

It’s been noted that the high number is largely thanks to the impressive streaming numbers Bad Bunny has accumulated, with the album’s on-demand official streams totalling over 143.15M.

Now that he’s amassed 11 total weeks of selling 100K+ copies, the 28-year-old is officially the artist to achieve such a feat since Adele made it to 14 consecutive weeks six years ago with her 25 album.

On top of that, Bad Bunny is also giving Drake a run for his money. As you may remember, Views spent 17 weeks within the top two positions on the Billboard 200 between May 21st and September 10th of 2016.

The “Moscow Mule” singer has reached 11 so far, and is also on its way to surpassing the Encanto soundtrack for the most weeks at No.1 in 2022; the two releases are sitting at nine weeks and six weeks total respectively.

Xzibit Is Lying About His Finances, Has Millions Hidden In Vaults Claims Estranged Wife

Xzibit’s been steeped in financial drama recently. He and Dr. Dre just won a lawsuit defending themselves in a case against their Brass Knuckles cannabis company. The rapper also accused Viacom of owing him a ton of money for his hit series Pimp My Ride. Now, his wife has the same accusation to make of him.

According to Krista Joiner—Xzibit’s estranged wife—Xzibit isn’t being up front about his finances. Joiner claims in court documents that Xzibit is trying to act like he’s destitute when really he has a lot of money in cash.

In the documents obtained by TMZ, Joiner says that Xzibit’s brother gave her the down low on what’s really going on. According to the brother, Xzibit takes home over $1 million from Brass Knuckles and hides the cash in bank-sized vaults dispersed in multiple locations. Joiner says Xzibit’s brother claimed that he stored $20 million for Xzibit in the multitude of vaults, and gets Xzibit cash whenever he needs it.

In the past, Xzibit has claimed that he isn’t making much money at all from Brass Knuckles and his other marijuana ventures. Joiner paints a different picture. She also says that Xzibit lied when he claimed she secretly bought a Bentley and was living in the family home with her new boyfriend, refusing to sell it.

Instead, Joiner says, it she who is having financial difficulties. She says she lost her job and doesn’t have any earnings currently to support herself or their son. She added that X has ignored her pleas for money for gas, food, or even their son’s inhaler.

Diddy’s Mom Has A Warning For Mase: “Don’t Mess With My Son”

Diddy and Mase are on the outs. Their beef started over publishing rights, but now it’s wide-ranging. Mase recorded a diss track about Diddy, and proceeded to blame Diddy for technical difficulties during his Lovers & Friends set.

It seems Diddy’s mom has had enough of Mase badmouthing her son. On Saturday, Diddy was recording an Instagram Live video when his mother interrupted and voiced her opinion on the rapper.

In the video which has since circulated on social media, Diddy is in the middle of paying respect to a number of artists, including Mase. “Shout out to the LOX, Ma$e, Biggie, Busta,” he began, only to be sidetracked by a comment made by his mom off camera. He addressed her: “I’m talking about everybody that’s on the… my mom said, ‘Ma$e?'” He tried to continue, saying, “Yeah we still love Mase, always gonna be love,” but it’s clear his mom is chatting off camera. Diddy then tilts the camera to her, and she says, “Don’t mess with my son.” Diddy’s clearly amused.

The Diddy-Mase beef started all the way back in 2020, when Mase accused Diddy of shady business practices that had cheated him out of money. He wrote on Instagram: “@diddy I heard your #Grammy speech about how u are now for the artist and about how the artist must take back control. So I will be the first to take that initiative. Also, before we ask of other ethnicities to do us right we should do us as black people better. Especially the creators. I heard u loud and clear when u said that u are now for the artist and to that my response is if u want to see change you can make a change today by starting with yourself.”

It seems that, despite Diddy’s lip service, the beef isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
