Eminem Seemingly Confirms “Curtain Call 2” Is On The Way

Eminem is considered to be one of the best artists of all time when it comes to the hip-hop world. He is also a juggernaut in the pop space as he has numerous number one songs and albums. At this point in his career, he has achieved legend status, and based on his recent output, it’s clear he has no intentions of simply retiring and leaving music behind.

In fact, Em just released a brand new track with Snoop Dogg called “From The D 2 The LBC.” This is a blisteringly fast song that features Eminem at his lyrical best. Meanwhile, Snoop held his own on the track as he offered laid-back flows and fantastic bars. The two have always had amazing chemistry, and this song is an example of that.

To announce the release of the song, Eminem took to Instagram and as you can see in the post below, it appears as though Em has something bigger in the works. One of the hashtags is “CurtainCall2.” Many fans in the comments section noticed this and immediately called it out in excitement. Of course, Curtain Call was a compilation album released by Eminem in 2005 which contained some of his greatest hits at the time.

With this latest hashtag, fans believe a second greatest hits compilation could be coming sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, there is no timeline for this release, so we’re just going to have to wait and see.

Let us know which songs you want to see on Curtain Call 2, in the comments section down below.

Kenneth Petty’s Prosecutors Want Him To Serve Hefty Jail Sentence

Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty is currently in the midst of a huge legal fight. Months ago, Petty pled guilty to failing to register as a sex offender in the state of California. Back in 1995, Petty was convicted of an attempted rape in New York which forced him onto the sex offender registry in that particular state. The terms of his conviction state that no matter where he lives, he must register as a sex offender there. Once he moved to L.A. with Nicki, he stopped keeping up with that stipulation, and it is now costing him dearly.

According to TMZ, Petty is going to be sentenced on July 6th, and prosecutors are going hard in terms of their jail recommendations. While Petty is hoping to escape jail time in favor of at-home confinement, prosecutors believe this would be Petty getting off easy. In court documents, prosecutors say Petty lives in a gated community and that Nicki’s house is simply too nice for house arrest.

With that being said, prosecutors are now asking for a 15-month sentence that would then be followed by five years of supervised release. They are also looking for Petty to pay $55K in fines. Needless to say, prosecutors are not messing around here as they truly believe that Petty is trying to skirt punishment by indulging in a lavish lifestyle.

This is a developing story, so stay tuned to HNHH as we will be sure to bring you all of the latest news and updates from this ongoing legal case.

O.J. Simpson Sued By Ron Goldman’s Father For Nearly $100 Million

oj simpson splash

O.J. Simpson has been able to stay out of headlines since his release from Lovelock Correctional Facility in 2017. However, that may soon be ending as he is being sued again for the 1995 murders of Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Fred Goldman, the father of Ron Goldman, is applying for a renewal of his 1997 judgment against O.J. Simpson for the death of his son.

In the 1997 civil case against Simpson, the ex-NFL running back was ordered to pay the families of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman $33.5 million. To this day, that amount has largely not been paid.

In 2015, Fred stated that O.J. still owed him $57 million, accounting for interest. Over the last 7 years, however, that amount has nearly doubled to $97 million.

In 2017, Goldman filed court documents that would have allocated money that Simpson made from interviews, appearances, etc to the $70 million he owed them at the time.

Boi-1da and Cardo Respond To Bobby Shmurda’s Rant About Producers Overcharging For Beats

bobby shmurda

It’s no secret that over time, the role of a producer has become even more important. Many people today say that the reason they like a lot of songs is because of the beat, and some would even argue that the beat is better than the artists. Earlier this week, Bobby Shmurda went on a rant about producers overcharging for beats.

“I done made over half a million for the year, can’t be that bad outside. “I’m trying to drop my project, but these n*gga is asking me clearances and these f*ckin’ producers are asking for some crazy sh*t,” Bobby said. “I don’t know what rumors is going around, they think, ‘Oh Bobby just droppin’ bags, this, that, whatever.’ Givin’ no n*ggas $10,000, $8,000 for no f*ckin’ producer.”

Bobby’s rant was sure to ruffle some feathers within the producer community, and even caught the attention of superproducers Boi-1da and Cardo.

Boi-1da responded to Bobby in the comments section of 2Cool2Blog‘s Instagram post. “Designer beats cost designer prices,” he commented.

However, Cardo would ask for all the smoke in his response to Shmurda. Cardo took to Twitter where he said that artists have no respect for producers.

“Rappers saying producers overpricing their beats shows u we don’t get any respect in this shit. Y’all N*ggas weird,” he tweeted. “We HAVE to make y’all n*ggas pay us more every time … cuz y’all be tryna offer 2500 for a beat. I gotta let it off one time,” Cardo said in his first two tweets.

Cardo continued his rant, adding “and in most cases that never works and n*ggas have no choice but to settle for that 2500 cuz we got mouths feed and bills to pay. I’m just speaking up for the producer community… that’s all. No complaining of any sort … but y’all will not continue to try and step on N*ggas over here. Cuz Im fasho with the bullsh*t. Just ask around.”

Cardo ended by saying “I’m out this b*tch … y’all have a pleasant and blessed evening like any other. Love y’all. Album otw.”

Suge Knight’s 2015 Wrongful Death Lawsuit Ends In A Mistrial

Suge Knight Denies Reports That he Signed Life Rights to Ray J

On Wednesday, a judge declared a mistrial in the 2015 wrongful death lawsuit against Suge Knight for the death of Terry Carter.

As Rolling Stone reports, the jury was deadlocked 7-5 in favor of Carter’s wife who brought the lawsuit against Suge Knight. However, a civil suit needs nine juror votes in order for a judgment to be made. After deliberations began last week, jurors determined on Wednesday that after not even half an hour that a mistrial should be declared.

“It was intense,” the jury foreman said. “It was so intense, someone walked by the jury room and thought a real fight had broken out. There was yelling.”

The lawsuit was bruoght forward by Carters widow Lillian and his daughters Crystal and Nekaya. Wednesday marked the first time in the trial that the Carter family’s lawyer brought up the $81 million dollar amount that the Lillian, Crystal and Nekaya were seeking.

The Carters plan to request a new trial date at the follow-up hearing next month. Crystal Carter spoke to the outlet, saying that despite the outcome, it was good to know that the majority of jurors sided with them.

“It’s unfortunate, but the jury worked very hard. It feels good to know we were the majority, We look forward to trying the case again to get victory for my dad. To get justice.”

Even though the lawsuit against Suge Knight resulted in a mistrial, the Death Row co-founder and former CEO is still serving 28 years for the 2015 death of Terry Carter. In 2018, Knight accepted a plea deal that lessened the charge to voluntary manslaughter.
