BTS Hung Out With H.E.R. At Dave & Busters After Their White House Visit

It’s been a busy week for the Bangtan Boys as they visited the White House to close out Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month. The visit with Joe Biden was to discuss the rise of anti-Asian hate in the US and the importance of Asian representation in business, media, politics, and pop culture. And while the visit drew some predictable derision from conservative circles, BTS themselves were far too busy doing more important things to notice — things like taking R&B star and fellow Asian heritage representer H.E.R. on a group outing to Dave & Busters.

J-Hope caught much of the fun on his Instagram Story, which found the group shooting hoops — H.E.R. and Jungkook tied, according to the R&B star’s own Instagram Story — and Jungkook giving H.E.R. some friendly advice on protecting her wrist on the arcade’s boxing machine. It looks like everybody had a blast, even with the language barrier.

The outing was also likely a chance for H.E.R. to get a much-needed break from her day job opening for Coldplay on their Music Of The Spheres Tour. Considering how much effort she puts into her live performances — playing multiple instruments while belting out virtuoso vocals on songs like “We Made It” — the chance to relax and unwind appears to have been much appreciated. Having great company is just icing on the cake.

Cordae Calls For Young Thug & Gunna’s Freedom Following YSL Indictment

Cordae is calling for the freedom of Young Thug, Gunna, and the rest of the YSL members listed in the massive 56-count indictment filed against the group, last month. The From a Birds Eye View rapper expressed support for YSL on Twitter, Wednesday.

“Free the Whole YSL Family! They showed me more genuine love than damn near anybody!” Cordae wrote in his first post.

He followed that up: “Protect Black Art! Also Using Lyrics against someone on trial is nuts! It’s a form of self expression that shouldn’t be used in a literal sense especially in a court of law!!!”

The 28 members of YSL were originally indicted on May 9th. Thug was charged with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and participation in criminal street gang activity, before being hit with several additional charges following a raid on his house. Gunna has been charged with one count of conspiring to violate RICO.

In the indictment, several lyrics from songs by the artists were listed as evidence. Among them were multiple tracks off of YSL’s 2020 compilation album, Slime Language 2, including “Take it to Trial,” “Ski,” and “Slatty.”

“The First Amendment does not protect people from prosecutors using [lyrics] as evidence,” Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis said after Thug and Gunna’s arrests.

Cordae isn’t alone in his criticism of the use of rap lyrics as evidence. New York recently put forth a measure to restrict their use in court, which garnered support from Bobby Shmurda.

Draymond Green Reveals The Key To Beating The Celtics

Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors have mostly coasted throughout the NBA playoffs. They have not faced a real challenge yet as teams like the Denver Nuggets, Dallas Mavericks, and Memphis Grizzlies all dealt with injuries. Regardless, the Warriors remain favorites to win the NBA Finals as they take on the Boston Celtics.

While the Warriors are the favorites right now, Green is very much aware of the fact that the Celtics are one of the best teams in the league. Since the all-star break, the Celtics have the best record in the league, and the Warriors will be facing a defense that they have yet to crack. The Celtics continue to be a tough test for the Warriors and Green knows it will be a dog fight.

On his latest show, per Andscape, Green explained the key to defeating the Celtics. As you can see, it will all come down to identifying glaring weaknesses.

Per Green:

“For pretty much since January, that’s been the best team in our league, and what can we do to combat some of their strengths and not play into their hands, try to expose some of their weaknesses? I think that’s what us, the Warriors, need to figure out.…

But it’s really just understanding what their strengths are and how to exploit the weakness. They’re a great defensive team. Absolutely incredible. But they have defensive weaknesses, right? That’s with anybody. You can be as great of a defensive team as you want, at some point every great thing has a weakness, and so can we figure out what those weaknesses are? That’s the challenge, right?”

This series is expected to go six or seven games. The Warriors have all of the experience in the world, so for now, they remain the favorites.

Let us know who you think will win, in the comments down below.

Rae Sremmurd Teases ‘Sremm4Life’ Release

It’s about that time.

After much anticipation, Rae Sremmurd has announced that Sremm4Life is officially on the way. Taking to Twitter, Rae Sremmurd’s Twitter account shared an image of a “4” on fire. Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee both posted similar artwork of a number 4 piñata engulfed in flames and changed their profile pics to promote the album.

“It’s almost time beloved,” Swae Lee told fans.

In 2019, the status of SremmLife 4 was unclear after Slim Jxmmi sparked breakup rumors with his cryptic tweets. However, the duo later put the rumors to rest, tweeting, “Brothers gonna be brothers, it’s SREMMLIFE forever.”

Rae Sremmurd has yet to reveal a release date for Sremm4Life, but a drop is expected soon.
