Frank Ocean Is In Talks With A24 And 2AM About Writing And Directing His Own Feature Film

Frank Ocean is reportedly in talks with A24 and 2AM about writing and directing his own feature film, according to Discussing Film. The “Nikes” singer has always been open about his interest in filmmaking; he wrote and directed the 46-minute Endless, which streamed alongside his album of the same title in 2016.

It doesn’t stop there. He also interviewed Timothée Chalamet because he enjoyed Call Me By Your Name so much, he covered “Moon River” from the 1961 movie Breakfast At Tiffany’s, and in the Chalamet interview, he expressed interest in recording a film score someday.

Frank has also been reportedly shopping a new record around to labels. It seemed like he was gearing up to head into album mode back in 2019 when he shared both “DHL” and “In My Room,” but it’s likely the pandemic got in the way of any planned releases in early 2020. Though, he did put out another pair of singles in March of 2020, releasing “Dear April” and “Cayendo.”

During a recent Christmas episode of his Apple Music radio show, he also shared another new nine-minute track. Still, the best timeline we have for his new album is pegged to his rumored headlining slot at Coachella 2023. So it makes the most sense that even if we get a few new singles this year and in early 2023, the project would drop close to his appearance at the biggest festival in the world.

Cardi B Gave A Seductive Pole Dance To Offset While On Vacation

Cardi B had an eventful holiday weekend in Cabo San Lucas with her husband Offset. During their vacation, they encountered the unusual sight of a yacht sinking. Cardi captured the moment on camera while offering her usual hilarious comedy. “Oh my God, they can’t do nothing about it?” she wondered. “There ain’t no big boat that could save it?!?”

Later on, it appeared that the couple went to a club together, where Cardi channeled her old job by putting on a pole dance for her husband — as well as a few others who happened to be nearby. Offset apparently appreciated the view, as a video posted online caught him grinning from ear to ear as he watched Cardi kick off her Crocs and show off a few moves before climbing into his lap.

The vacation was well-earned. Cardi’s been quite busy lately, even without an album to promote. Most recently, she and Megan Thee Stallion teamed up to take on a football training camp with the LA Chargers for Cardi Tries, Cardi gave an insightful interview to David Letterman, and she’s been working on some “technical difficulties” with her new music before giving it a release date. Meanwhile, Offset has been gearing up to release some solo music of his own amid rumors of a potential Migos breakup.

A Yeezus Amusement Park May Be In The Cards, According To Kanye West’s Latest Reported Trademark Filings

Kanye West, through his various endeavors, has a foot in pretty much every field of human endeavor right now; Recently, for example, Donda Sports has received attention for signing Aaron Donald and Jaylen Brown. Now, it looks like Ye is keeping an open mind when it comes to entering the amusement park game.

According to trademark attorney Josh Gerben, West — or more accurately, his Mascotte Holdings, Inc. company — filed 17 new trademark applications based on his Yeezus name, on May 27. The filings suggest Ye intends to attach the Yeezus name to things like amusement parks, blockchain-based currencies and non-fungible tokens (cryptocurrencies and NFTs), stores, toys, games, sporting equipment, buttons, clothing, bags, household items, and cosmetics, among others.

Aside from aforementioned ventures, West has kept busy with new music: Over the past week, he collaborated with Vory on “Daylight” and XXXTentacion on “True Love.” The new Yeezy Gap Engineered By Balenciaga collection also just had a global launch, and more reveals about what Ye has been up to have been shared as the new Hulu series The Kardashians. For instance, he apparently walked out on Kim Kardashian’s Saturday Night Live monologue after taking exception to some of what she said, and took his kids to school in a fire truck.

Post Malone Says He’s Distanced Himself From Social Media: ‘That’s Really Impacted My Life’

Days away from the release of his fourth studio album, Twelve Carat Toothache, Post Malone is getting candid. In an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Malone spoke on fatherhood, how he feels about the sound of his own voice, and his thoughts on social media.

When asked about TikTok, Malone admitted that he enjoys scrolling through clips. However, he doesn’t feel that making his own videos comes naturally.

“There’s so many different ways to get people to listen to your music,” Malone said. “And TikTok is so f*cking huge… And you have people check on my new song and it goes f*cking viral and that changes people’s lives. And you discover talented people on there and everything. But it’s just so hard for me to make something natural. And it’s just so interesting. It’s interesting to hear [Halsey’s] opinion on that.”

Malone is referring to a series of TikTok videos Halsey recently posted, claiming their record label wouldn’t allow them to release their single, “So Good,” without the song first getting a viral TikTok moment.

Continuing his spiel on TikTok, and social media in general, Malone said. “I just think it’s my personal opinion and the changes that I’ve made mentally to distance myself from that and that’s really impacted my life in a positive way. It’s just whatever makes your comfortable because at the end of the day, you just got to be comfortable with what you’re doing. And social media is something that I’m not super comfortable with.”

Twelve Carat Toothache is out 6/3 via Republic Records. Pre-order it here.

Lil Nas X’s Facebook Was Hacked With Anti-Pride Messages, But He’s Actually Amused

As a committed online troll himself, Lil Nas X can certainly appreciate a good zinger — even if he’s the butt of the joke. Although he was shut out at the Grammys this year, he was able to turn that misfortune on its head, and while he certainly doesn’t seem to like also not receiving any BET Award nominations, he was able to take the disappointment in stride. More recently, Nas’ Facebook page was hacked, just in time for the start of Pride Month. And though the culprit left an anti-Pride message, Nas seemed more tickled by the intrusion than upset.

“F*CK PRIDE MONTH,” wrote the hacker. “I faked being gay bitch. Ty for the $.” When a fan account screenshot the message and shared it on Twitter, Nas himself replied, writing, “i’m screaming because this is something i would actually say.”

He isn’t exaggerating at all. In 2020, shortly after coming out in the wake of his supernova rise to fame, Nas joked that he was never gay in the first place. “i said it to build up fuel for aprils fools day,” he winked. “ha got u guys.” Of course, the joke was short-lived; just thirteen minutes later, he tweeted, “ok i’m gay again.” Meanwhile, in 2021, he addressed the criticism he’s received from trolls saying he only came out for attention, tweeting, “y’all love saying i’m being gay for success but can’t name 5 successful gay male artists in the last 10 years to save your life.”

Nas isn’t letting the haters get him down, but maybe his collaborator Jack Harlow had a point. By now, it’s a bit much, and if Nas’ orientation bothers folks so much, maybe they could just, like… stop paying so much attention to him and find something else to do.

Stephen A. Smith Screams At Chris Russo Over Historic Teams List

Ever since Chris Russo joined First Take, you’ve probably noticed that Wednesdays are a lot more fun than they used to be. Russo and Stephen A. Smith have tremendous chemistry and it really feels like Smith is having fun at his job again. For a while, the show was pretty stagnant but now, it is definitely a lot more entertaining to watch, especially when the two engage in a screaming match.

Viewers will immediately note that Russo is an old school guy that has tremendous knowledge about the past. He is someone who loves to tout the Boston Celtics and while it might make viewers’ eyes roll, he continues to play into the meme about himself.

Yesterday, Russo constructed a list of the five most historic teams of all time. Right off the bat, Russo had Smith rolling his eyes as he included the Montreal Canadiens of the NHL. From there, he put the Boston Celtics and followed that up with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers, and New York Yankees.

Smith was dumbfounded that the Lakers were not on the list and it led to a pretty hilarious screaming match. This screaming match was not serious by any means, as Smith and Russo seemed to be having the time of their lives. Either way, it led to some great television.

Russo’s lists are the best part of the week as they always create some wild entertainment. Hopefully, ESPN gets him in for more than just one day per week.

CyHi The Prynce Drops Bars Over 42 Dugg’s “Maybach” & Jeezy’s “Go Crazy”

It’s been nearly five years since CyHi The Prynce released his official debut album, No Dope On Sundays. However, the G.O.O.D Music artist is now gearing up for his official return to the limelight. He announced his new album The Story Of EGOT last month and is on pace to dropping the album this summer as promised.

In recent times, he’s delivered a handful of new freestyles, including one where he threw shade at Joe Budden. He also joined LA Leakers for Freestyle #144 where he laid bars down over 42 Dugg’s “Maybach” and Jeezy’s “Go Crazy.” As you could expect, didn’t hold back. He takes on Dugg’s hit record with ease before declaring that he’s “everyone’s co-writer” on Jeezy’s hit record.

His recent freestyle showcases what to expect from his forthcoming project, The Story Of EGOT. Check the freestyle below.

Quotable Lyrics
Former coke driver, Ferragamo coat buyer
Who you know flyer? Steffo Richie bow tie, ah
Let me run a joke by you
Every rapper was richer before rap but I was broke prior
You was never in the trap with the toast buyer
Broke the microwave so we hit it with the blow dryer

Bill Cosby Sexual Assault Civil Trial Begins

After being freed from a Pennsylvania prison 11 months ago, Bill Cosby is back in court as he now is set to take part in a civil trial in California regarding the alleged sexual assault of teenage girl at the Playboy Mansion around 1974.

In one of the last legal actions set to take place against the 85-year-old, Bill Cosby is now being sued for sexually assaulting Judy Huth when she was only 15. According to Huth, now 65, the two met on a film set where Cosby invited Huth and her friend to the mansion for the following week. Cosby then took her to the Playboy Mansion where he made her consume alcoholic beverages before forcing her to perform sexual acts.

Despite accusations against Cosby, the ex-comedian is not expected to appear in court. According to his lawyer Jennifer Bonjean, Cosby does not deny inviting Huth over to the Playboy Mansion, however, he maintains his innocence in that he never forced sex upon the victim. Bonjean stated that the accusations are “fabricated” and that evidence will point in favor of Cosby.

“The evidence is going to show that Ms. Huth is not telling the truth,” stated Bonjean.

Cosby, who spent his early career as a stand-up comedian, became most well-known for his time hosting The Cosby Showamongst starring in other television shows and films. Around 2015, Cosby’s career began to take a sharp turn when a myriad of different women alleged the comedian had raped or sexually assaulted them. Since then, he’s faced accusations from approximately sixty women.
