Snoop Dogg Drops New Compilation Album ‘Snoop Dogg Presents Death Row Summer 2022’

Snoop Dogg’s latest effort, Snoop Dogg Presents Death Row Summer 2022, is a compilation album that features a diverse group of musical legends. Since Snoop acquired Death Row Records earlier this year, this is the label’s second official release. Miguel, Raphael Saadiq, The Eastsidaz, Tha Dogg Pound, Butch Cassidy, Jane Handcock, October London, Stokely, Minnie Merda, Latoiya Williams, Champ Medici and Butch Cassidy are all featured on the album.

“I brought together all my homies to create a perfect Summer album that has something for everyone on it,” said Snoop Dogg. “I promised ya’ll when I got back Death Row Records, I was gonna bring the brand to the next level … and this album is a beautiful project celebrating the true spirit of Death Row. Look forward to hearing what ya’ll think.” 

Snoop Dogg released B.O.D.R. earlier this year, commemorating the 30th anniversary of Death Row’s first album, the landmark West Coast, genre-defining The Chronic. Snoop Dogg has been taking the iconic Death Row Records brand to new heights through ventures such as a Crooks & Castles partnership with two new lines; Death Row Records Apparel and Snoop Dogg’s Apparel, a full lifestyle clothing collection, and continues to push musical boundaries in Web3, NFTs, and more since acquiring the brand in February 2022.

Omarion and Mario Set to Headline ‘A Night of R&B’ VERZUZ

R&B is set to take center stage for VERZUZ. The next battle is listed as “A Night of R&B” and will feature Mario and Omarion as headliners. The battle will take place this Thursday, June 23 at 9 p.m. ET.

In addition to the headliners, VERZUZ will see the team of Bobby V and Ray J take on Pleasure P and Sammie.

“This about to be fun! & and much needed re-education for you bots,” Omarion said “true R&B rules the soul.”

Wendy Williams Reportedly Never Leaves Home and Has Memory Loss

The Wendy Show is now over and according to sources, the former host, Wendy Williams, has no plans to get back to work.

A source spoke to The Sun stating Williams doesn’t leave her house and “can’t remember anything.” The source also added Wendy “hasn’t taken any meetings to try to get back on the air” and it would be a long road to get her back on air in the future.

“She can’t remember anything, she needs a teleprompter and she needs someone there to remind her of things,” the source said. “She is sitting in her house, she isn’t taking meetings, she isn’t going out, there is no plan.”

The decade-plus run of The Wendy Williams show came to a close this past Friday. Ahead of the show Variety noted Wendy Williams would not be in attendance for the final episode. Instead, a video montage celebrating Williams played in the time slot.

“The final original episode of ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ will air on Friday, June 17th with a video tribute to the iconic host. The series comes to an end after 13 successful years in syndication,” said a spokesperson for the show.

Wendy Williams has not been on her show for the entire 2021-22 season due to health-related issues. Throughout the season multiple guests filled in for Wendy, including Sherri Shepherd, who is hosting the final week and will have her own show this coming Fall.

Previously, Williams expressed she would be returning to her show. Co-Presidents of Debmar-Mercury, the show’s creators, Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus, said they would be willing to work with the host again.

“It doesn’t mean the next day, but we will put it together and figure it out,” Bernstein said. “It’s not like we have a Plan B where we hit a button and it’s back in a week, but we do have the desire to be in business with her, if she can come back and be healthy, and so does Fox.”

Obie Trice Arrested in Michigan for Threatening Ex-Girlfriend and Her Family

Detroit rapper Obie Trice was arrested in Michigan for threatening an ex-girlfriend. According to TMZ, Trice also threatened the family of his ex.

Trice was nabbed by Oakland County Sherrif’s Office on Thursday for using a phone to harass or threaten someone.

Deputy Chief Curt Lawson stated after Trice and a woman split, he began to threaten her and some of her relatives. He also began popping up at the home of relatives, which he was ordered to stop by law enforcement.

Trice reportedly continued to do his pop-ups leading to a misdemeanor warrant and his arrest. He is currently in jail on a $10,000 bond.

In his career, Obie Trice was known for his hit record “Got Some Teeth” and being a member of D12 with Eminem. In December 2020, Trice was given a 90-day sentence for possession of an illegal firearm following a shooting in December of last year.

Drake is in a position to add another No. 1 album to his resume. The 6ix God surprised fans with the new dance album, Honestly, Nevermind, on Friday.

Even though the album is receiving mixed reviews, Drizzy is set to pull in a solid first-week number according to HitsDailyDouble. The 7th solo album from Drake is estimated for the first week between 210,000 and 230,000 equivalent album units.

In comparison to Certified Lover Boy, Honestly, Nevermind is a drop-off in first-week production as CLB made a No. 1 debut with 613,000 units.

Drake‘s Honestly, Nevermind became Apple Music’s most-streamed dance album, smashing the previous record for first-day streams worldwide.

Honestly, Nevermind adds to Drake’s Apple Music run. Certified Lover Boy, Drake’s previous album, presently holds the record for the most first-day streams in Apple Music history. On Apple Music, Scorpion is the second most popular album in terms of first-day streams worldwide. With “Girls Want Girls,” Drake also holds the record for the most first-day streams worldwide on Apple Music.

Drake also released a statement letting fans in on his current life:

T.I. Calls out VH1 After Fans Say They Miss ‘Family Hustle’ Reality Show

For a while, T.I. and his family were a staple on VH1 with their reality series. Their last series, Family Hustle, detailed the lives of the Harris family and their close friends.

After T.I. and Tiny were accused of the sexual assault and drugging of women, VH1 seemingly pulled the plug. T.I. finally addressed the network once a fan stated they missed the show.

“@vh1 13 years no loyalty. No Integrity. Just jumped to conclusions. False accusations. No apology. No accountability. No closure. In the name of protecting women…while unfairly, without due process….Subsequently punishing Women??? No problem,” T.I. wrote.

At the height of the allegations, VH1 suspended production to “gather more information.”

Drake’s new Dance album Honestly, Nevermind was in rotation across the world this weekend and has been quite polarizing. Some people love it, while the other side of the spectrum appears to be confused as to why Drake made it. Then there are some, like Drake himself, who argue those who don’t like it just don’t get it. You can find J. Cole on the support side.

Cole hit Instagram and shared a screenshot of the song “Liability” and revealed “Man. This album is phenomenal. Point blank.”

Last month, Drake and J. Cole put fans on alert as they were spotted filming a music video together. Videos leaked online showing Drizzy creating a new music video, on the set was Cole, but some fans questioned if he is just a guest.

Last year, J. Cole jacked Drake’s “Pipe Down” for a single called “Heaven’s EP,” which you can hear below.
