These two are friends who aren’t above teasing one another in interviews, but this time, it’s Shenseea who is firing her shot. The Jamaican singer recently shared her debut studio album Alpha, and as fans enjoy her R&B and Dancehall vibes, Shenseea has been jet-setting as she continues to promote the record. Her explicit lyrics have also taken over airwaves on songs like her Megan Thee Stallion-assisted single “Lick,” but according to Bobby Shmurda, Shenseea isn’t “freaky enough.”

The joke came when Shmurda was chatting with DJ Akademiks with the rapper even breaking out his best island accent, and in her own interview, Shenseea responded to his claim.

“I saw it and I was like, ‘Bobby, you look like the n*ggas who are just all talk,‘” said the singer with a smile. “You one of those. And let me tell you, ’cause Bobby is a friend of me and I love Bobby because he’s outspoken, funny, he doesn’t care about people. Like, I love his attitude, so it’s not like we even beefing or anything.” The host reminded Shenseea that Shmurda did say that he was just joking.

“I’m not joking,” she continued with a slight laugh. “You do look like the n*gga who just all talk.” This was, of course, all in jest, but it is unclear if Bobby Shmurda has seen Shenseea’s response just yet. Check it out below.

Ever since Drake followed the wife of the man who trolled him, the couple’s social media pages have been in chaos. We previously reported on Drake penning a comment on Instagram about proud fathers who support their children’s efforts. After saying he would be enthusiastic if his son Adonis was in a “rubix cube competition,” a man slid in his two cents and replied, “Ya son prolly play with ghost writers.”

Drake then followed the man’s wife and slid in her DMs, and while she was initially excited about the attention, she returned with a lengthy statement to clarify a few things for the public.

“I did not ask for any of this, if you actually know me, you know I am a very to myself individual,” she wrote. “I did not make my husband troll anybody, I did not make Drake start following me, I did not make y’all start commenting or following, I am not looking to be or hoping to be any celebrity, I know this was all because of a random comment between two grown men, not me.”

She went on to say that she recognizes this will “blow over very fast,” and admitted that she’s a huge Drake fan while her husband doesn’t like him. 

“I am very happy with my husband please don’t get that confused,” she added. “We have truly enjoyed this sh*t, it’s been hilarious. I am a grown ass woman. Chill out with the angry, hateful messages, I am unaffected, not responding and you are wasting your time and energy sending them to me.”

This isn’t the first time Kehlani has mapped out hard boundaries between herself and the public, but she recently took to social media to double down. The singer has always been relatively private with her personal life, but in recent years, Kehlani had opted to pull back even more. Her romantic relationships often take over headlines and the songbird has made it clear that she is pressing pause on sitting down for interviews for the time being.

Last week, Kehlani finally shared her anticipated album Blue Water Road, and this is a season where an artist such as herself would be jumping from one outlet to the next for interviews and video features.

However, Kehlani recently revealed that she isn’t interested in promoting the record, or herself, the way the industry has demanded from artists.

“No more interviews,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “Support the music or don’t Im done.” In another slide, she added, “All I care about is me fans, only people I care about serving is the fans, I’m here for y’all and that’s it.”

Kehlani isn’t the only artist to make such a declaration. Back in 2020, SZA said she would cease doing video interviews or taking photos, and others draw lines for mental health purposes. Check out Kehlani’s post below and let us know if you think this is a good or bad move.

Michelle Beadle no longer works for ESPN, however, while she was there, she was very critical of LeBron James and the infamous “Decision” broadcast. Since that time, Beadle has been very public about her feud with LeBron James and how the Lakers superstar actually wanted her gone from ESPN. During an episode of The Sessions with host Rene Paquette, Beadle even revealed that James sent her a petty DM once.

“I made fun of The Decision, and I was one of about a bazillion people that did,” she explained. “This was a long time ago, I guess when I followed him, and I got a DM that was, ‘Why are you so mean to me on television?’ And I just sort of laughed it off, I didn’t even think about it.”

Beadle then went on to talk about how other personalities at ESPN were targeted by LeBron. Simply put, if anyone said something negative about him, he would try to get them fired or removed from some of their assignments. As Beadle explains, she took it very personally.

“Of course I took it personally, it was personal, he wanted me fired, he tried to do that,” Beadle explained. “But then I found out after the fact, when all of this sort of came out, I would get messages or texts or videos from people being like, that kind of s*** was happening to them too. He was super petty and he would try to have some sort of an effect, whether it would be small or whatever, just an effect.”

LeBron is a player who likes to control the narrative. It is something that gives him a lot of comfort, and when he’s not in control, he feels out of his element. With that said, these stories should come as very little surprise. LeBron isn’t the first athlete to allegedly do this, and he won’t be the last.
