Conor McGregor’s Bodyguard Explains What The Fighter Is Really Like

Conor McGregor is one of the most famous fighters in the entire history of the UFC, although this hasn’t always been for the best reasons. As many of you already know, McGregor has been known to be aggressive with the public, and it has landed him in trouble with the law. Despite this, McGregor has maintained his status as one of the biggest stars in the sport, even if he hasn’t won a fight in a fairly long time.

There are a lot of people who know McGregor personally, including his bodyguard Mitchell Atkinson. Recently, Atkinson spoke to MMA Life about McGregor and whether or not the man is really that wild in real life, behind closed doors. As Atkinson notes, McGregor is simply playing a character, and fans should take his persona with a grain of salt.

“What you see in the media isn’t necessarily how they are as a person,” Atkinson explained. “I always said, ‘Conor, he’s a great actor, do you know what I mean? The man… There’s no doubt about it, he’s an absolute genius but the Notorious MMA [persona] is very much a character who he plays a lot of the time. He’s a much quieter [person] and he’s, yeah, he’s very quiet and he’s got a personality like an artist where he kind of wears his heart on his sleeve…he’s a phenomenal actor and he’s a genius, you know, notorious MMA is a character who he plays that made him a billionaire within a matter of years.”

Considering McGregor has been involved in numerous public incidents away from the Octagon, it’s hard to take these comments at face value. However, Atkinson does know McGregor personally, which certainly counts for something.

Kanye West Starts “Spazzing” In Unreleased “Slow Jamz” BTS Footage

Kanye West has been everywhere this month. Last week, the highly anticipated sequel to 2021’s Donda finally dropped, although most have not necessarily bought the Yeezy stem player to listen to the album. In the midst of the album rollout, Netflix has unveiled new episodes from the three-part documentary Jeen-Yuhs. The documentary showcases Kanye’s early days as a producer to his transition to a bonafide superstar.

The third and final installment of the documentary will debut on Wednesday and TIME Magazine just shared an unreleased clip from the “Slow Jamz” music video shoot. The three-minute snippet offers insight into the difficulties in bringing the vision to life. Kanye argues with several members of the production crew, as well as the directors, in an attempt to be heard.

At one point, Kanye asks for a specific record player that wasn’t on set. The director asks an assistant to get one before Kanye reiterates the exact type that he was looking for. “Yeah, I just heard the explanation literally,” the assistant said.

“The thing is you could say that but then she just heard the explanation yesterday,” Kanye responded, pointing to producer Laura Keseric, “and it didn’t mean anything. So I’m going to keep repeating myself over and over and over. Y’all are forcing me to be the asshole.”

Over the course of the clip, Kanye gets into it with other members of the crew and at one point, admits that he’s “spazzing” as someone tries to interrupt his conversation. Peep the clip below.

Kanye West Fans React To Chaney Jones Photos: “Bro Dating Kim KardaSHEIN”

Remember when you were a kid and you asked your parents if they could stop at a fast-food restaurant on the way home, only to be met with, “We’ve already got food at home.” Well, Kanye West wants something that he can’t have, and he’s seemingly being forced to settle for that “food at home,” as many fans are pointing out regarding his latest relationship.

Following his one-month-long fling with actress Julia Fox, Ye appears to be moving on with model Chaney Jones. The rumored couple has not confirmed that they are together, despite posting a few photos together on social media and appearing in numerous paparazzi shots as a unit from the last few weeks. One thing that has struck fans about Chaney Jones is her very obvious resemblance to Kim Kardashian, Ye’s ex-wife. There are reports that Ye was drawn to the model because of her Kim-inspired look and while it’s truly impressive that the man was able to find somebody who looks exactly like the mother of his four children, fans of his are clowning him and Chaney online because of it.

“Bro dating Kim KardaSHEIN,” wrote one person on Twitter in a viral post, commenting on Chaney’s new picture with Ye. Sixteen-thousand people reacted to the tweet with a retweet, while over 136-thousand people “liked” the tweet, agreeing with the person who sent it off.

What do you think about Ye and Chaney Jones? Is it weird that she looks so much like Kim? And do you think Ye is only doing this to play mind games with his ex-wife?

As reported yesterday, a 27-year-old man named Shakeem Parker was arrested and charged in the shooting death of former Harlem kingpin Alberto “Alpo” Martinez and now it is being alleged that the man killed Martinez over a past road rage incident.

The Daily News report says, “Parker, who is known as “Boonkie,” visited a deli in Harlem at 2:49 a.m., where he met up with his brother. He was captured on surveillance video chatting with friends before happening to notice Martinez driving by in the truck, the source said.” Another source close to the incident says that “there’s no indication that this was anything other than a crime of opportunity.”

Police ruled out drugs as a motive after tracking Parker’s movements before the shooting.

Jussie Smollett is Seeking a New Trial in Hoax Hate Crime Case

jussiesmollet

Jussie Smollett is looking for a new trial. According to TMZ, the convicted hoax artist is not accepting his not-guilty verdict and is also pointing fingers at issues with the jury selection process.

In new legal filings, Smollett wants to reverse the conviction and if that isn’t possible, wants to get a new trial. Smollett’s lawyers state they were unable to speak with potential jurors and vet them for the case. The legal team also states prosecutors show a pattern of racism in selecting jurors.

In addition, the legal team states the judge wrongfully didn’t allow the media and public in the courtroom, while the prosecution pressured witnesses into false statements.

In December, Jussie Smollett was found guilty of 5 counts of disorderly conduct for lying to the Chicago Police Department over a hate crime, which is now declared a hoax. Smollett staged a racist, homophobic attack against himself in the Chicago neighborhood of Streeterville in January 2019.

According to ABC 7 Chicago, Smollett, now a convicted felon, showed no emotion as the verdict was read. he faced six counts of felony disorderly conduct, the last count was dismissed. The dismissal of the sixth charge occurred because he altered his statement to Detective Robert Graves in Feb of 2019, stating the attacker was not white, instead opting for “pale-skinned.”

Smollett is released on a recognizance bond but he will return to Chicago for sentencing, where he faces between one and three years for each conviction. Experts state it is likely the Empire star will get probation due to having no criminal history. A sentencing date has not been set.

[WATCH] The Tri-State Area May Be Lifting Vaccine And Mask Mandates As Early As Next Week

121721 school mask 1.0

After nearly two years of wearing face coverings everywhere in our daily life, the governors of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut are loosening the last mandated rules around masks. New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced Sunday that a dramatic drop in coronavirus infections could lead to the lifting of vaccine mandates on restaurants, bars and theaters as soon as March 7.

Statewide indoor school mask mandates have dropped in Connecticut and are poised to drop in New York and New Jersey on Wednesday and Monday, respectively, as officials remove the last longstanding emblem of the pandemic.

New York City has said it plans to lift the mask mandate for the nation’s largest public school system come Monday, March 7, as well as the Key2NYC vaccine mandate that requires customers to show proof of vaccination to enter indoor spaces. The mandate requiring vaccination for employees will stay for now.

The developments follow recently updated CDC guidance essentially saying most people don’t need to wear face masks in indoor public settings unless there’s a high level of severe disease. The health agency’s new benchmarks for assessing that threat level currently mean more than 70% of the U.S. population can go maskless.

Here are a list of places you will still be required to wear a mask:
Mass transit: The feds require masks on planes and trains (as well as in airports and transit stations), while NYC and NJ transit operators mandate masks on trains, buses and taxes/rideshare services
Broadway theaters: Masks are required through April 30, at least
Healthcare facilities like hospitals and nursing homes as well as adult care centers
Correctional facilities
Homeless shelters
Individual businesses that choose to mandate masks. State law allows local municipalities to opt for stricter standards around COVID if they so choose.
Will you be sending your child to school without a mask?

Monica Pauses Show to Stop Argument Between Front Row Fans

You will NOT disrupt Monica’s show. Monica noticed a group of fans arguing while she performed and she politely stopped the show to get them straight.

“Hold on one minute, what’s the problem right here?” Monica said to someone in the first row. “Not in this motherfucker tonight! No, no! Not in here. Nope, nope, we ain’t killin’ no vibes in here.”

The woman stated there were no issues at first, but Monica pressed the issue and found out it was an issue of first-row positioning. Monica would hop in The Neighborhood Talk‘s comments to provide a bit of context as well: “OMGGGGG they were fussing like they were about to fight ! I just wanted people to enjoy the show 😩 it’s all love tho😂
