Patrick Mahomes Reveals How The Chiefs Turned Their Season Around

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs had a very rough start to the NFL season. They fell to 3-4 after seven games and it seemed like they were pretty well down for the count. The offense was bad and the defense was even worse. Now, however, the Chiefs are sitting at a record of 11-4 which makes them the best team in the AFC right now. They are on an impressive 8-game winning streak and they are trying to keep this momentum going as they head into the playoffs.

This weekend, the Chiefs are set to take on the Cincinnati Bengals, who need a win if they want to try and lock up the AFC North division. Of course, this will not be an easy game for the Chiefs, however, Mahomes is confident they can pull it off. While speaking to reporters today, Mahomes even revealed the key to the team’s success as of late.

“I think it was just staying with the process, that was the biggest thing,” Mahomes said. “No one held their head down, we knew there was a lot of season left, we knew that what we wanted was right in front of us. Our guys came in with the right mentality every single day to get better and we’re sitting where we’re at now, but the job is not finished. We still have to try and find a way to get this No. 1 seed playing two great football teams these next two weeks and then try to make a run in the playoffs. We understand that it’s not done yet. It’s been great these last few weeks, but we still have a long way to go.”

The Chiefs are currently favorites to come out of the AFC, however, they will have some stiff competition moving forward. Only time will tell whether or not this team can actually get it done when it matters the most. If one thing is for certain, they definitely have the playoff experience necessary.

Bun B & Cory Mo Announce New Album “Mo Trill” With The Star-Studded Single “Hesitate”

As we’ve seen with recent releases from artists such as KRS One, RZA, and Nas, Hip-Hop’s OGs have been putting out some pretty decent music as of late, and Bun B and Cory Mo’s new single, titled “Hesitate,” is no exception. The feel-good track finds Bun B and Cory Mo assembling some of their fellow veteran rappers for a song about coming to terms with one’s past, embracing religion, and the concept of freedom.

Joining the duo is the legendary lyricist Talib Kweli, Missipii’s own David Banner, and Cincoriginals artist Tobe Nwigwe, and together, the artists form an unlikely super-team that delivers an impressive first single for Bun B and Cory Mo’s newly announced collab album Mo Trill.

Listen to Bun B and Cory Mo’s Talib Kweli, David Banner, and Tobe Nwigwe-assisted single “Hesitate” below, and let us know if it’s enough to get you excited for Bun B and Cory Mo’s forthcoming album, Mo Trill.

Quotable Lyrics

They give us scraps from the feast, we actin like we amazed
Treat Blacks like beasts and lock us right in the cage
Every day I fight for freedom cuz it’s not just a phase
I’m not your slave, you don’t get to tell me how to behave, nah

Jay-Z And Swizz Beatz Marvel Over Alicia Keys’ Custom ‘Keys’ Chain That Commemorates Her New Album

Alicia Keys has been a strong presence in pop culture for the last two decades, and deserves all the recognition she’s getting for her most recent album, Keys. And given her close relationship to the hip-hop world, it’s not surprising that she’s celebrating the release of the album in standard rapper fashion — with a massive new chain. And who better to marvel over the custom Elliot Eliante chain than her rapper/producer husband, Swizz Beatz, and one of her most high-profile collaborators, Jay-Z himself.

Empire State Of Mind” might just be the best-known mainstream hit for both of them, and given that strong connection, Jay isn’t shy about heaping praise on Alicia’s new bling. “When we create these things, when AK comes out with Keys chain, I mean come on man, it’s just super hard first of all,” Jay-Z said in a clip about the bling. “The chain is just super hard. It comes from a different place, it’s beyond a show of wealth. People tend to identify it as [that] today, this thing comes back to… all the great kings from Ethiopia to Africa.”

That’s actually a fantastic way of identifying the piece as a celebration, and Alicia definitely deserves to be recognized as the royalty she is.

Greg Jennings Speaks On Fractured Relationship With Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers has been known to have weird relationships with his family and teammates. For years, it has been discussed how Rodgers completely abandoned his family and won’t even pick up the phone to talk to them. Meanwhile, former Packers players like Greg Jennings have been adamant that Rodgers isn’t always the greatest leader as he will give people the cold shoulder as soon as he will do them wrong.

In a report from the Pioneer Press, Jennings spoke out about his fractured relationship with Rodgers and how the two have yet to patch things up. While they had a moment when Jennings was playing for the Vikings, they have yet to speak since then. Jennings even claimed that he tried to reach out to Rodgers, but none of his calls or DMs have been returned. Needless to say, Rodgers has gone ghost.

“We don’t text, we don’t communicate like that. We haven’t had an official sit-down, like bring it all in for a hug, since I left Green Bay,” Jennings said. “We had a great relationship (in Green Bay). Our relationship now has been non-existent. I tried to reach out to refurbish it but haven’t had any success. The acceptance from his side has just not been there.”

This is certainly a sad situation especially when you consider how the two won a Super Bowl together back in 2010. Despite this, Rodgers just hasn’t had the desire to repair the relationship with one of his most prolific teammates.

Bradley Beal Speaks On Why He Finally Got The COVID-19 Vaccine

Bradley Beal was very vocal about not getting the vaccine at first. Beal was one of the few players in the league who was unvaccinated, however, he was adamant about people making personal choices. He understood why people were getting the shot, and he always kept an open mind about things. Now, D.C. is about to implement a vaccine mandate, and to coincide with this announcement, Beal has gotten his shots.

This is news that was reported this week by The Athletic, as well as Beal’s teammate Kyle Kuzma. When asked about why he finally got the vaccine, Beal noted that he felt like it was something he needed to do. He also claimed that the vaccine mandate was not the only reason for getting it, however, he still has quite a few questions about whether or no the vaccine is actually working, given the amount of COVID cases that are going around the league right now.

“Like I said at the beginning of the year, this is always something I’ve been thinking about,” Beal said. “It obviously came to a point to where I was like, ‘OK, let’s just get it out of the way and not have to deal with it.’ But there are a lot of questions I still have. Us around the league, we’re still trying to figure out how we can be better, how we can still be safe. Ninety percent of our league is vaccinated, and we’re still going down like flies.” continued the Wizards guard. “So we’re just trying to make sure that we’re all protected. For me, selfishly, I’m more concerned about my father and my family. The last thing I want to do is see him in the hospital and on the table. So if that helps, then OK, I’ll do it. But I still have a lot of questions and concerns about it, for sure.”

As it stands, Kyrie Irving remains the biggest superstar who has yet to get the shot. It seems unlikely that will change, however, if Beal changed his mind, so could Kyrie.
