Jim Jones Claps Back At Memes About His Braids

Jim Jones often finds himself at the center of some sort of internet meme. Just a few weeks ago, he started trending after it was reported that Leonardo DiCaprio, who apparently was interested in producing a film on the Wu-Tang Clan, would take on the role of infamous Jonestown cult leader, Jim Jones. The internet started to photoshop Leo’s face on Jim Jones’s body, which the Dipset member ultimately embraced.

The rapper recently became the center of online memes when fans started to closely analyze his iconic braids. While he still rocks braids to this day, Jim Jones’ cornrows were synonymous with his brand. However, fans began to notice how often he’d step out with loose hairs coming out of the braids. “It’s like Jim Jones goes to get his hair braided and says, ‘When you’re done, brush it,'” the meme reads.

Jones reposted the meme on his page and quickly fired back at everyone who was trolling his decade-plus old photos. “I thought we was supposed to b cool this how yal gone handle me “BRUSH IT” I’m out F y’all “Sticks n stones” u know tht rest lol,” he wrote. “Ps hate yal lol.”

While Jones is combatting Twitter trolls, he’s also still riding high off of the release of his latest project, Fraud Department, entirely produced by Harry Fraud.

Devin Haney Handles Joseph Diaz Jr. In Unanimous Decision Victory

Last night (Dec. 4), the boxing world was in for a treat, as they saw undefeated Devin Haney enter the ring to defend his WBC lightweight title. Going into the fight with a 26-0 record and 15 knockouts, not many doubted Haney’s ability to pull through once more.

His challenger Joseph Diaz Jr. entered the night with a 32-1-1 record, also with 15 knockouts. Diaz was ranked No. 7 in the lightweight division ahead of the fight, to Haney’s No. 3.

Diaz Jr. went the distance, and took the fight to decision. However, it was clear that Haney’s jab and punching efficiency was superior to Diaz Jr.’s efforts, and the judges scored the fight unanimously in favor of Haney, winning 117-111, 116-112, 117-111.

After the fight, Devin acknowledged Diaz Jr.’s talent, but maintained that he could take a hit just as well as he could deliver one: “He said he was going to bring the dog out of me, and that’s exactly what he did. He hit me with some good shots. They say I have no chin, but I think I showed it in this fight.”

As he put on a show in MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Haney knew what the fans wanted to see: “We got into some great exchanges. I wasn’t shy to exchange with him. I want to entertain the fans.”

Now, the 23-year-old Haney will look to capture the top spot in the division, hoping to fight t-No. 1 George Kambosos Jr. Kambosos was in the crowd last night, and is currently deciding who he wants to fight next between Haney, No. 3 Gervonta Davis (pending his fight today, Dec. 5) and t-No. 1 Vasiliy Lomachenko (pending his fight next Saturday, Dec. 11).

While Kambosos reiterated he wants his next fight to be in his homeland Australia, Haney asserted he would fight any time, any place: “I’ll go to Jupiter if I got to. Come on, George Kambosos, let’s do it for all the belts. The real undisputed [champion]. Let’s do it next. No more dispute with who’s the WBC champion.”

Things are heating up the lightweight division, and there is sure to be a lot of great boxing on the horizon.

Quotable Lyrics:

If I broke your heart, that was truly the old me
Movin’ through your city, like they meet the OG
Beat that p*ssy purple, free my n*gga 03
Say your best time was when we cuddle, when we go to sleep
Best now that n*gga took a break, you let him leave
Just now I say it, bet there ain’t no better me
To pick you up, you get to f*ckin’ on the couch

Kylie Jenner & Travis Scott “Excited” For Their Second Child’s Arrival

Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner have remained relatively low-key in recent weeks, as they handle the aftermath of Travis’ Astroworld tragedy. Scott has enlisted legal services for the dozens of lawsuits levied against him, and he has made attempts to give back to the victims.

Throughout this catastrophe, the couple, who announced they were in an open relationship in May, has been preparing for the birth of their second child.

In September, Kylie announced her pregnancy, as the doctor told her the child was a few days away from a heartbeat. Since that was 12 weeks ago, and heartbeats typically happen within the first 5-6 weeks of a pregnancy, Kylie likely around halfway through the pregnancy.

Sources from E! News says that Kylie has been laying low recently, getting her life in order before the baby comes: “She’s been hanging out with her family and a few close friends and is just nesting until the baby comes. She loves being at home and has been getting the nursery ready.”

Kylie and Travis’ first child Stormi, who will turn four years old in February, is said to be engaged with the pregnancy, joyfully anticipating her new brother or sister: “Stormi is really excited to have a sibling and talks about the baby all day long. She’s fully aware and is very excited.”

As for the father, Travis Scott has been helpful during this rough time for him, as a new child should be a shining light in a dark era of his life: “Travis has been by her side and has been very supportive during her pregnancy. They have definitely been inseparable and leaning on each other. They are both excited for the baby to come.”

Kylie and Travis do not have a name for the baby yet, and they have not announced an expected date for the child to be born.

T-Rell Loses His “Hood Card” After Epic Backwood Fail On “How To Roll”

“I bet this gon’ be the best blunt ever rolled, too, ’cause I rolled it,” said T-Rell just after admitting he’s never rolled a blunt before. The rapper, who is fresh off of the release of 2 Big 2 Ignore, explained that he’s usually stuffing Raw cones when he’s smoking by himself, though he was enthusiastic about twisting up a Backwood.

One of the perks of being a rapper is having a group of friends who are willing to roll for you but on the latest episode of How To Roll, T-Rell attempted to tackle the task dolo. Rell broke down a nice bud of Truffles as he asked for instructions on rolling a Backwood cigar, which unlike a Swisher or a Philly, doesn’t get split down the middle. This was just one of many hurdles T-Rell faced on How To Roll that ultimately chipped away at his confidence over the course of the episode.

“My tip is just do what you see someone else do… Look, I’m patchin’ over here,” Rell admitted while trying to save the mangled tobacco leaf. “I don’t know, bro. This is the most terrible-est blunt ever. I’m still gon’ smoke it, though, heavy. If I can smoke it. Bro, this is an epic fail, bro,” he continued before eventually giving up and switching over to the papers. “Okay, the Backwoods a fail, bro,” he added. “I’ve never rolled before. Nobody ever gon’ think I’m a hood n***a no more. I’mma lose my hood card, bro. Y’all hurt me.”

Unfortunately, even rolling papers couldn’t save the smoke session for T-Rell, so, he called on his DJ to finish the job. “This is hard. Now, I know why people roll weed for me,” he concluded.

Lizzo Name-Dropped Drake And Chris Evans During Her Cover Of Erykah Badu’s ‘Tyrone’

Lizzo loves to flirt. The singer took the stage at the Art Basel festival in Miami on Saturday where she delivered a cover of Erykah Badu’s “Tyrone.” The track comes from Badu’s 1997 album Live, and for her performance, Lizzo decided to put her own spin on the track. During her cover, she altered some of the lyrics so she could name-drop both Chris Evans and Drake.

During her cover, Lizzo sang, “Maybe I should call Chis Evans / Maybe Captain America could put another bun up in my.” She followed that up by singing, “Or maybe I should call Drake?”

It’s not the first time that Lizzo has mentioned Chris Evans or Drake in public. In her most recent single, “Rumors” with Cardi B, Lizzo sings, “Readin’ sh*t on the internet / My smoothie cleanse and my diet / No, I ain’t f*ck Drake — yet.” She later explained that mentioning Drake in the song was her way of flipping the script.

As for Evans, Lizzo joked earlier this year that she was pregnant with his child. “This is something that I’ve been really trying to keep personal and private between me and the father of my child,” she said in a TikTok video. “But since we’re airing out all the rumors today, I’ve been sucking in. We’re gonna have a little America!” Evans played along with the joke and later DM’ed Lizzo about their “little bundle of joy.”

You can watch a clip of her performance above.

Saweetie Announces New Project Will Drop In January

The anticipation for Saweetie’s next project has been building all year long. After she was supposed to release her debut album Pretty B*tch Music this past summer, she delayed it several times.

We are now at the end of the year, and the project has yet to arrive. Substituting what could have been a monumental moment with her first full-length album, Saweetie instead landed a smash hit in “Best Friend” with Doja Cat and scored two Grammy nominations.

Now, it seems that Pretty B*tch Music is of secondary focus, as Saweetie now has a different project on her mind. In an interview with Gerrick Kennedy on Thursday (Dec. 2), Saweetie announced that she will release a seven song pack to hold fans over while they await the album.

The short project will be titled Icy Season, as she said it will contain numerous collaborations and serve as a “pretty bitch bible.” Icy Season will release on Jan. 7, 2022.

This likely means we will have to wait another set of months before Pretty B*tch Music comes pout, but it is nice to see Saweetie appreciates her fans’ patience, and it rewarding it with new music.

Her previous album delays have been attributed to inspiration from Cherconversations with her mother and revisiting the “soul” of the album. As she is nominated for Best New Artist, Saweetie looks to have a big 2022 by elevating her reputation from massive singles to more than one body of work.

Check out what Saweetie had to say about Icy Season below.

Master P Asks Judge To Declare Him & Estranged Wife Sonya Miller Single

According to TMZ, Master P is seeking assistance from a judge to regain his official bachelor status. The Ice Cream Man hitmaker has been technically separated from Sonya Miller since 2010, but their marriage remains legally in tact over a decade later.

The article notes that P is “ready to start a new chapter, so he wants to judge to step in and declare him single.” New legal documents reveal that the rapper feels “there’s no reason” for he and Miller to remain married, “so he’s asking the court to restore their single status ASAP.”

Miller and Master P were married in 1989, although the former filed for divorce in 2013, three years after they went their separate ways. The New Orleans native also mentioned that he and his ex “settled all their issues in 2016 and reached an agreement,” but for some reason, “the paperwork was never submitted to court.”

In hopes of expediting the process, the I Got The Hook-Up 2 actor has filed for a bifurcation of the divorce, meaning that both parties will have their single status reinstated immediately while the remaining issues in the case are resolved later. From the looks of things, P has spent enough years living in limbo, and is ready for a fresh start at the age of 54.

The “Grab da Wall” artist has been in the news a lot this year, offering up his take on everything from Alec Baldwin’s involvement in the Rust shooting a few weeks back to Kanye West and Drake’s infamous beef, which they recently squashed – read more about that here.

Lil Nas X & Doja Cat Share The Stage For Epic Performance

Two of 2021’s hottest pop rappers were Doja Cat and Lil Nas X. Both releasing massive albums with extravagant rollouts, Doja and Lil Nas dominated charts and captured the attention of music-lovers all year long.

Over the weekend, the two stars joined forces for a unique performance. On Friday (Dec. 3), iHeartRadio and their Los Angeles station 102.7 KIIS FM hosted their annual Jingle Ball in LA, to celebrate the start of the Christmas season. Lil Nas X was slated to perform, and after playing a handful of his hits like “Holiday,” “Industry Baby” and “Old Town Road” on its three-year anniversary, decided to give the attendees an extra treat.

He brought out Doja Cat, as the crowd unanimously approved with screams and cheers. The duo performed their collaborative track “Scoop,” which was the sixth song on Nas X’s September debut album Montero.

Both Doja Cat and Lil Nas X rocked dazzling silver outfits, matching on stage and matching each other’s energy for the sung performance.

This joint performance came in a busy week for both Doja and Lil Nas, as the former released an intriguing new music video for her album’s opener “Woman,” and the latter received Variety’s Innovator Award yesterday (Dec. 4).

At the Variety Hitmakers event, Nas X cozied up with several other blossoming stars like Olivia Rodrigo, Chloe Bailey and Jack Harlow. He was even able to round up as many celebs as possible to join the “Bing Bong” TikTok trend.

Overall, this weekend looked like a great time for Lil Nas X. Check out his performance of “Scoop” with Doja Cat below.

Kodak Black Seeks “Closure” On His New Single

As 2021 comes to an end, it’s hard not to forget that this is the same year that Kodak Black was released, courtesy of an executive order signed by Donald Trump. It was certainly an odd beginning to the year but it’s quite clear that Yak hasn’t taken these moments for granted. The Florida rapper has been delivering a spree of music this year to seemingly make up for the lost time including Sniper Gang Presents Syko bob & Snapkatt: Nightmare Babies which has a heavy presence from Kodak.

This week, the rapper returned with a brand new single titled, “Closure.” Taking on a slower pace, Kodak gets into his vulnerable side as he details loyalty and betrayal, whether it’s close friends like Jackboy who’ve appeared to leave his side (Cause you screaming free me and SG on ya pendant/ Even though I ain’t need it, you could’ve sent ya dawg a penny) or those who weren’t checking in on him while he was locked up (You can’t have yo’ n***a in prison feeling hurt).

Check out the latest from Yak below.

Quotable Lyrics
Everything that we did, you was always in competition
But I included you in every move, was never stingy
With my plays, always made a way for you to be in position
First chance you had you got a bag, you turned yo back and dissed me
