LeBron James Reveals Biggest Change To The Lakers This Season

Heading into this season, the Los Angeles Lakers made a lot of changes to their roster. Players like Kyle Kuzma are now gone and guys like Russell Westbrook are in. By all accounts, this Lakers team is better than last season’s team and one could make the argument that they are better than the team that won the title back in 2020. Regardless, they have some tough challenges ahead, and they will need LeBron James to help guide them through it all.

Recently, LeBron James got to speak to reporters about his Lakers, and according to ESPN, James had a lot to say about the team’s new vibe. As he explains, the energy is probably the biggest difference between this year and last year’s roster.

“Just the energy,” LeBron said. “Last year after coming off the bubble it literally took everything away from you. Any little bit of energy that you had, it was completely gone when we left there. … To come back into the season with the quick start that we had, kind of the life of the party was a little bit, just like, it was just kind of stale. You know, rightfully so. Guys just didn’t have an opportunity to get a mental break. You could definitely feel the energy shift a lot more in this season the first two practices compared to last.”

Analysts are expecting this Lakers team to go very far and potentially even set themselves up for an NBA Finals matchup against the Nets. Anything can happen between now and then although if these Lakers are truly for real, then we could be in for a phenomenal season of basketball.

Affectionately calling his team the “Trap Avengers,” Wizzop shared the cover artwork for the upcoming album, which features animated versions of each rapper as a superhero. Considering Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano’s current legal situations, it’s likely that their contributions to the album will be minimal. However, with the recent rise of Enchanting and BigWalkDog, fans are excited to hear the new music from Gucci’s artists.

Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Spotted On Malibu Dinner Date While Working On Their Relationship

It’s been less than a year since Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from her husband, Kanye West, but according to TMZ, the two are already putting in the necessary work to rebuild their bond and potentially reunite as a couple.

On Thursday night, Kimye headed out for a fancy dinner at Nobu in Malibu along with KKW Brands Chief Marketing Officer, Tracy Romulus, and her music producer husband, Ray Romulus.

“Kim and Kanye had dinner with a small group of people. It seemed like a business dinner. Kim and Kanye sat next to each other. They acted more like friends. Kanye was in charge of the conversation. Kim was more quiet. Kanye also picked up the check,” an insider reportedly told PEOPLE.

As per usual, Kardashian West was seen wearing a Balenciaga outfit made up of a purple gloved catsuit, a maroon coloured leather coat, and some black shades.

Ye opted for an all black ensemble, also accessorizing with black sunglasses as well as a hat and a flashy silver chain.

TMZ reports that despite the romantic evening at Nobu, the West’s are not officially back together. Rather, they are on good terms for the sake of their four children, and currently in the midst of figuring out their relationship’s next steps.

Earlier this year, the site reported that things have been “drastically improving” between Kimye, and the rapper even brought Kardashian West out in a Balenciaga wedding dress for his last DONDA listening party prior to the album’s release.

Back in August, PEOPLE reported that the KKW Beauty mogul and her estranged husband had “come a long way since Kim filed for divorce.”

“It’s taken them months to get to this point. Kim is happy that they get along and that things are amicable,” a source told the magazine.

Do you think that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian will call off their divorce, or is it time for the former couple to move on from one another? Share your opinion in the comments.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 “Wash Orange” Release Date Revealed

When Kanye West came out with the Adidas Yeezy 700 “Wave Runner” back in 2017, there were a lot of fans out there who were skeptical. The shoe was unlike anything that Kanye had put out before, and no one really knew whether or not it would catch on. Since that time, numerous colorways have hit the market, including this “Wash Orange” model found below.

Lil Wayne Recreates His Iconic 2012 Deposition In The “Feelin’ Like Tunechi” Video

Less than one full year after teaming up with NBA YoungBoy for the joint album Nobody Safe, Rich the Kid is back with an even more high-profile collaborative album with Lil Wayne. Titled Trust Fund Babiesthe seemingly left-field project hit streaming services on Friday, and while many fans likely didn’t know what to expect when going into it, the early reception to Lil Wayne and Rich the Kid’s new album suggests that they may have a hit on their hands.

As you can see below, even DJ Khaled is a fan of Trust Fund Babies.

“Feelin’ Like Tunechi,” serves as an amazing start to the 10-track project, and the song finds both Wayne and Rich the Kid giving each other props over lively Latin-inspired production from TheLabCook. “Feelin’ Like Tunechi” is also the first song from Trust Fund Babies to get a proper video treatment, and longtime fans of Weezy will definitely find some humor in it.

Right before Lil Wayne performs his verse, the video cuts out to a recreation of the Carter V artist’s iconic 2012 deposition, in which he hilariously dodged questions from Quincy Jones III’s lawyer Peter Ross.

In all of the leaked footage from the deposition, Wayne looks extremely annoyed, and in addition to nearly threatening Ross at one point, he also made a point to reveal that he performed at a “bad-ass bitch birthday party.” According to Lil Wayne, she was “crazy, stupid thick.” Funny enough, that unorthodox exchange was spoofed for in Rich the Kid and Wayne’s new music video.

Watch “Feelin’ Like Tunechi” below and check out the rest of Trust Fund Babies here.

Quotable Lyrics

Yeah, cause the bullet be drippin’ like snot from a snub nose
I’m aimin’ right to your heart like a love note
I told you right from the start, from the front door
I told her right from the pump, it’s a gun show

Lil Durk Shows Off Abundance Of New Gold & Platinum Plaques

Chicago rapper Lil Durk is one of the most decorated music superstars of this year. Last month, it was revealed that Durk has the most charting songs this year on the Billboard Hot 100, landing more overall entries onto the chart than Drake, Kanye West, or any other popular rapper. With that said, it’s clear that Durk has added a bunch of new plaques for his walls in the studio, and he’s just shown off over a dozen new certifications he was handed by the RIAA, flexing his latest gold and platinum plaques.

“Keep going,” wrote Smurkio as his caption, motivating himself to push for even more. The image shows all of the new certifications that the rapper has, including one for his album The Voice, as well as a platinum award for the single “My Beyonce.” He also officially went gold with “The Voice,” “Backdoor,” “India,” “Bora Bora,” “Neighborhood Hero,” “Viral Moment,” “Should’ve Ducked,” and other songs.

Fans and artists alike are celebrating the impressive achievement from Lil Durk, including Young Dolph, Yella Beezy, Lil Zay Osama, Swizz Beatz, and more, who all commented on the post.

After spending multiple years consistently rising up, Smurk has completely taken over the rap game, and it’s awesome to watch him dominate.

Check out his new list of plaques below.

Asher Roth Reflects On His Career With “All Add Up

Asher Roth has returned once again, continuing his comeback with the release of the new single “All Add Up.” For the occasion, Roth queues up a soulful boom-bap beat, a fitting backdrop for reflections on his career, best memories, and current priorities.

Fans of the veteran rapper, who first caught mainstream attention with the release of his “I Love College” track, will no doubt appreciate the deeper perspective into Asher’s headspace. I thought we was done, for real, it was over with, the setting of the sun, maybe I’m too old for this,” he ponders. “Recording, touring, shows, photographs are showing it.” It’s an interesting ride throughout, and though Asher may not have the same philosophies he once held, he’s certainly appreciative of the memories he’s built along the way.

Check out “All Add Up” now, and sound off if you’re still riding with Asher Roth.

Quotable Lyrics

Don’t you know that passion isn’t stacking up the memories?
The XXL, you was on the front page
The MSG, you was on that summer stage
That was dope, all the European shows
Doing front flips with Mac in Norway with Steve Aoki
Mos Def with Magic, playing Magic and Madden

Kyrie Irving’s Vaccination Status Could Lead To Adult Website Deal

Kyrie Irving’s vaccination status has been a hot topic of debate as of late, especially in regards to the fact that Brooklyn has strict laws about being vaccinated in public spaces. If Kyrie doesn’t get his shots, he could be forced to miss home games, and he could very well miss out on a large chunk of his salary, as well.

Now, Irving is being given a pretty interesting offer that centers around him getting the COVID-19 vaccine. Adult website Stripchat is offering Kyrie a lifetime VIP subscription, and all he has to do is go to his local CVS and get that free COVID shot.

“Following today’s headlines that Kyrie Irving will not be paid for home games if he does not receive the COVID-19 vaccine, Stripchat, the adult cam site with 600 million visitors per month, has extended Mr. Irving an offer that would be hard to resist… a free adult cam subscription for life with VIP access,” the company wrote. “All he has to do is get the first vaccine shot!”

It’s certainly an interesting deal although we’re unsure that’s really enough to get Kyrie vaccinated. After all, Kyrie is very strong when it comes to his convictions, and cam girls are probably not the thing that is going to push him over the edge.

Either way, you can’t help but salute Stripchat for trying.

‘Madden NFL 22’ Shares A Massive Music Video For Its Star-Studded Soundtrack

As a world-famous rapper, Swae Lee is probably used to performing in stadium-sized venues by now. However, that doesn’t stop him from catching a look of awe on his face as he steps on the turf at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium in the video for “Ball Is Life” from the Madden NFL 22 soundtrack. The same goes for BRS Kash, Moneybagg Yo, Tierra Whack, and the rest of the performers who appear on the game’s hard-hitting playlist.

While the soundtrack itself launched along with the game in August, the EA team released a slew of videos for its standout tracks, including BRS Kash’s “Oh No” performed in his hometown Mercedes Benz Stadium, Moneybagg repping for Memphis in the Titans’ stadium, and Tierra Whack hanging out with Scoop, the Philadelphia Eagles’ mascot. Although Swae Lee actually hails from Tupelo, Mississippi, unfortunately, there’s no team nearby — plus, he lives in LA now anyway.

Each star gets their own video and all of the videos get mashed up in a massive megamix showing off Madden‘s uncanny valley gameplay, which you can watch above. For the individual videos, see below.

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
