On September 29th, Eminem celebrated the grand opening of his new Detroit restaurant, Mom’s Spaghetti. Some stars would stick to an Instagram post to share the big news, but Em went above and beyond by surprising some customers that had waited in line for hours with a free meal and some face-to-face time.

“This is kind of crazy. It’s a song lyric, turned into a f*cking meme, turned into a restaurant,” Sirius XM host Shade 45 said to the rapper on opening day.

“In ‘Lose Yourself’ I was saying it from the perspective of Jimmy Smith Jr., the character I was playing in the movie…You make a spaghetti sandwich. It’s definitely some white trash shit. I still eat it today,” the 48-year-old responded.

The menu at Mom’s Spaghetti is short and sweet, offering patrons spaghetti (with or without meatballs), a vegan option, and Eminem’s personal favourite, the spaghetti sandwich.

“Don’t even eat a bite of your spaghetti until you put it in the bread, because otherwise you’re gonna ruin the whole f*cking thing. Don’t be stupid. If I f*cking catch you doing that without the f*cking bread, I don’t know what I’m gonna do. Hell, there’s gonna be hell to pay,” the “Ass Like That” rapper told listeners at his grand opening.

“I’m not trying to offend anyone, but if you’re a f*cking idiot, don’t eat Mom’s Spaghetti.”

He and Shade 45 also discussed other potential menu items, with another cheesy favourite topping the list.

“We need to do Mac & Cheese, nobody’s gonna say no to that. But it’s gotta be the really cheap kind, I’m telling you that’s the best,” Eminem told his friends.

LeBron James is one of the greatest basketball players of all time and when it comes to his life off the court, there is no doubt that he has built himself a substantial amount of wealth. Part of the reason for this is a lifetime contract with Nike, where he has released a plethora of signature sneakers. He is also keen on dropping his own colorways of already established classics, and soon, we will be getting a sneaker that fits such a description.

As it turns out, LeBron will be getting his own colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 Low, this time called “Strive For Greatness.” In the official images below, you can see that the shoe has a light beige upper with a checkered aesthetic towards the back. From there, we have a black Nike swoosh and some blue Nike/LeBron branding on the tongue and back heel. These elements come together for a unique colorway that is certainly going to appeal to all of the LeBron and Nike fans out there.

Kanye West’s album DONDA had a plethora of phenomenal songs on it, including “Moon” which is an emotional track with Don Toliver and Kid Cudi. Toliver starts the song off with some high-pitched vocals that are directed to West’s mother, saying “Don’t leave so soon/how can I get through.” For many Ye stans, this song brought out the tears and the feels as Kanye finally got to process the loss of his mom on an album.

Ye and Toliver have plenty of other collaborations planned for the future, especially given Don’s ties to former Kanye disciple, Travis Scott. In just a week from now, Toliver will release his new project Life Of A Don, and to celebrate, Kanye is gifting the up-and-coming star with some new gear.

In the video below, you can see Toliver unpackaging a massive NASA jacket that looks like it was taken off of the back of an astronaut. It’s extremely large on Toliver’s body, although the artist looks over the moon about it, no pun intended. Considering the name of the song that Toliver got to collaborate on, this gift makes all of the sense in the world. When you take a look at Ye’s past, you quickly realize he is one of the more thoughtful gift-givers in all of hip-hop.

Brian Laundrie has been missing since September 17th, but according to a Florida man, he’s been hiding out on the Appalachian Trail while the rest of the world continues to hunt for him.

Laundrie is the main person of interest in the death of his 22-year-old fiancée, Gabby Petito, whose remains were discovered in Grand Teton National Park at the end of last month. Her death has been officially ruled a homicide, although further details from the autopsy are still being kept under wraps.

A warrant was issued for Laundrie after he illegally used Petito’s debit card, but search efforts have proven to be unsuccessful thus far. However, TMZ reports that the wanted man may have been spotted by a Florida hiker named Dennis Davis.

Apparently, Davis spent Saturday on the Appalachian Trail, where he came across a dazed man on a deserted road at the border between Tennessee and North Carolina. Allegedly, the man approached Davis, asking for directions to California that would allow him to stay off of the Interstate and remain on the back roads.

Davis was sent a recording of Laundrie’s voice from the daughter of Dog the Bounty Hunter, who has been lending his criminal catching talents to the ongoing search. “There is no doubt in my mind I spoke to Brian Laundrie, none whatsoever,” Davis told the New York Post.

The hiker also revealed that the man who approached him said, “man, I’m lost…Me and my girlfriend got in a fight but she called me, told me she loves me, and I have to get to California to see her.”

Davis reportedly called the FBI and 911 to report the incident, but never heard back. He said that the Laundrie lookalike was wearing a bandana and driving a light-coloured pickup truck.

Meek Mill is widely respected by his peers and when it comes to the music listeners, there is no doubt that they have a wide level of appreciation for his music. Meek has been doing his thing since the 2000s and with each new album, he demonstrates tremendous growth and wisdom. He’s someone who has been through a lot in his life, and it’s always good to see him thriving and releasing new music.

On Friday, Meek dropped off his new project Expensive Pain, and so far, it is projected to do quite well on the charts. Fans are enjoying the album quite a bit, and Meek is well aware of the fact that this is one of the best projects of his career.

Case in point, Meek took to Twitter last night where he offered a bit of a hot take on his last few projects. In the Tweet below, Meek says “Expensive pain better than championships to me,” which had fans debating whether or not this is actually the case. Of course, this is simply Meek’s subjective opinion, and if anyone knows his music best, it would be him.

As with every project, this one is going to have to sit with fans for a while before they can continue making judgments. Regardless, Meek seems to have another hit on his hands, which can only be a good thing for hip-hop as a whole.

Meek Mill might not have a record deal under Roc Nation but he’s always up to something when it comes to working with Jay-Z. The Philadelphia emcee’s journey and history with Mr. Carter and his label have been well-documented. In 2012, Jay-Z signed Meek to a management deal under Roc Nation. Since then, Hov’s been a strong supporter of Meek through his legal run-ins, and teaming up with Philly rapper in the fight for criminal justice reform. Most recently, Jay and Meek partnered for a joint venture between Dream Chasers and Roc Nation.

In a photo posted to Instagram a few days ago, Meek reported on his last trip to visit the Roc Nation team, suggesting this list will only grow with 4 new partnerships set in stone. 

“I just did a walk thru at Roc Nation & left with 4 new partnerships,” Meek Mill captioned the photo, a candid snapshot of him socializing between drinks at a meeting. The photo features fellow Philadelphia native and Roc Nation-managed artist Lil Uzi. 

Though the timing of the announcement coincides with Meek’s recent release of his latest album Expensive Pain, his follow-up project to the wildly successful Championships, it is not clear exactly what these partnerships could entail. But with Meek and Roc Nation’s inspiring track record, the possibilities are especially exciting.

With live shows returning in full form, some of the South’s most legendary figures have teamed up for an all-star tour line-up. Jeezy, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Fabolous, Boosie Badazz, Lil Kim, Trina, and DJ Drama are currently on the road for the Legendz Of The Streetz tour. Things kicked off in Augusta, GA on Sept. 30th but it was the subsequent tour date that turned out to be problematic.

Boosie Badazz show at the State Farm Arena ended abruptly after an altercation broke out on the stage. Boosie ultimately ended up being rushed off without finishing up his set. Unfortunately, it seems that the effect of that situation has now impacted other tour dates. 

Boosie took to Twitter yesterday where he announced that he was no longer allowed to perform at the Greensboro date of the tour. However, he did make it to the afterparty. “Greensboro, I’m on the way,” he stated in a video shared to his Twitter page. “Sayin’ they ain’t lettin’ me perform on the tour tonight. But, I’m at the afterparty. Yeah, bitch, we still gettin’ it.”

After the alleged melee broke out on stage in Atlanta, the city’s police department said they received a call claiming that Boosie Badazz and his crew had broken items on stage. The concert was called off shortly after and the police said they’re currently investigating the matter.

Tonight, the tour will be heading to Baltimore before taking a few days off before the New Orleans date on Oct. 8th. Check out the full tour schedule below.
