Ben Simmons Attracting Interest From These Six Teams

Ben Simmons just missed out on an $8.25 million payday as he continues to hold out from the Philadelphia 76ers. Simmons is done with the organization and he has told them that he will not play a single minute with the team. As a result, the Sixers are looking for trade partners, and there are conflicting reports when it comes to who is offering deals for him.

For instance, it was recently reported that Simmons was getting zero interest right now and that there are very few teams who have roster spots open for him. This reporting is now being refuted by Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, who claims that a total of six teams are showing varying degrees of interest in the star player.

The teams in question are the San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Detroit Pistons. All of these teams are in need of new talent, and Simmons would definitely fit in well. It seems like the Spurs and Raptors make the most sense, although it is interesting that the Blazers are not on the list given all of the rumors from the past summer.

There is still a lot to be figured out in regards to the Simmons saga, so stay tuned to HNHH as we will continue to bring you updates.

T-Pain Reveals His 97-Year-Old Grandma Has COVID

We’re sending prayers and positivity to T-Pain’s family after the recording artist revealed in a tweet that his 97-year-old grandmother is presently battling COVID-19 in the hospital after contracting it from her nurse.

The “Buy U A Drank” singer told his fans that his grandmother was admitted to the hospital with a positive case of COVID, tweeting, “Bro…… my 97 year old grandma….. is in the hospital alone… with Covid…… that she got…… FROM HER FUCKIN NURSE!!!! Man [facepalm emoji] Wtf is wrong with ppl man?! Pls yall. Just explain it to me! Just help us end this shit pls ppl.”

In the replies, people have been calling out the nurse in question for allegedly being unvaccinated, but those people aren’t aware that even if you are vaccinated, you can still contract and pass on the virus. Others are saying that Pain’s post was written in poor taste, seemingly blaming the healthcare worker for giving his grandmother COVID, despite the fact that they probably got the virus from another patient.

The tweet was sent out on Sunday evening, and T-Pain has not updated fans on his grandmother’s status on Monday. Send some prayers out for T-Pain’s grandmother in the comments.

Kid Cudi & Rich The Kid Bond Over Nas Songs & Fashion Shows On Twitter

Rappers Kid Cudi and Rich The Kid seem to be developing a friendship pretty quickly, trading song recommendations and linking up for a quick conversation on Twitter.

Following the release of Rich The Kid’s collaborative album Trust Fund Babies with Lil Wayne, the Atlanta-based rapper may be looking to work with another established hip-hop veteran, chopping it up with Kid Cudi over the weekend on social media.

They initially bonded over their shared love for Nas’ song “You’re Da Man.” After Cudder posted himself listening to the classic record, Rich replied, saying, “One of my favorite songs no cap.” Cudi agreed, adding, “Its a good one I remember listenin to this shit on repeat for days, dreamin.” Rich chimed in, replying, “Me too, I was only a jit that & ether.”

Then, Cudi decided to give his new friend a song recommendation, tweeting him, “Yo check out that Pachanga Boys song ‘Time’. Think ull fuck w it.” Their final correspondence (for now) came with Rich’s response, which reads, “Just listen too it! Sooooo fireee , I see you killed that givinchy show last night just dm u.”

The fashion show that RTK is referring to was part of Paris Fashion Week. Kid Cudi showed up with brightly dyed red hair and matching eye makeup, making quite the statement.

With so many projects in the works for both of these artists, it will be interesting to see if they keep up their friendship by bringing it over to the studio. Do you want to see a Kid Cudi x Rich The Kid collab?

Anthony Davis Speaks Out On Horrendous Lakers Preseason Debut

Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers played their first preseason game last night and in the end, they got blown out by the Brooklyn Nets, who were without all of their star players. The Lakers’ only superstar in the game was Anthony Davis, who played 11 minutes and watched most of the game from the bench. In the end, the Lakers simply didn’t have the firepower to keep up, and it allowed the Nets to walk all over them in the fourth quarter.

Of course, this game means absolutely nothing, however, the Lakers are not taking it lightly. After the game, Davis told reporters that the team simply isn’t good enough and that they have a lot to work on before the season begins in just a couple of weeks.

“We’re way behind,” Davis said. “Getting movement on offense. Quality shots. Defensively, talking, getting our schemes right. Rebounding, very huge. We’re not boxing out. That was the main takeaway. Offense will come. We’re not too worried about it, especially when we get Bron, Melo, TA and Russ out there. But it was the first game to see where we are, and we got to do a better job defensively, especially blocking out.”

Once all of the team’s starters are in the lineup, the roster will be a much different story. After all, LeBron James and Russell Westbrook are phenomenal players, and when added to the team, they will immediately make the Lakers contenders this season.

Stay tuned to HNHH, as we will continue to bring you updates from the NBA world.

Jadakiss Marvels At Lil Wayne’s Verse Writing Speed

In a wholesome turn, many of the game’s veterans have made a point of celebrating their fellow rap game peers, an expression widely referred to as “giving flowers.” With bouquets being handed out at a rapid pace these days, Jadakiss recently took the opportunity to pay homage to his fellow lyricist Lil Wayne.

During a recent performance at LIV Miami, where Weezy happened to be in attendance, Jadakiss offered up a few kind words from one emcee to another. “You know what he does for the culture, you know what he does for hip-hop,” Jadakiss said, earning a genuine smile from Weezy. “It’s only a few n***as I can send a verse, and he send that shit back before I finish rolling my backwood up.”

For those keeping score, Wayne and Jada previously united on several occasions. The pair traded bars on The Last Kiss standout “Death Wish,” Top 5 Dead Or Alive banger “Kill,” and Lil Wayne’s own Carter IV posse cut “It’s Good.” Suffice it to say, Kiss has more than enough experience working with Weezy, and it’s clear that he respects Wayne’s efficiency as well as his bars.

It would certainly be nice to see Jada and Wayne reunite on wax once again, especially if they keep the same vibe as some of their previous work. It’s not uncommon to see both rappers named in top-ten discussions centered around lyricism, and the unspoken competition that exists on wax between them is the exact sort of thing that excites dedicated hip-hop heads. Check out Jadakiss giving Wayne his due credit below.

Wale And J Cole’s ‘Poke It Out’ Video Has Even More Q-Tip Homages

Girls just want to have fun in Wale‘s colorful new video for “Poke It Out” featuring J. Cole. After dropping the latest single from his upcoming album, Folarin II, Wale furthers his Q-Tip homages by reproducing some of the Queens rapper’s iconic video moments. As “Poke It Out” samples Q-Tip’s J Dilla-produced debut solo single “Vivrant Thing,” it makes sense that Wale borrows and updates shots such as the infamous head bob as he cruises the streets in a jeep full of women.

Women are the primary focus of the video, as Wale and his female entourage end up at a lakeside campsite (reproducing the beach run from the “Vivrant Thing” video), where the ladies hike, play football, and have a late-night bonfire. Then, Wale and his running buddy J. Cole trade verses against a plain backdrop that lets Cole’s words take center stage as he praises women with bodies ranging from “Meg Thee Stallion” to “Coi Leray” — both of whom Wale’s worked with in the past (click those links).

So far, Wale’s released three singles from his upcoming Folarin sequel, including “Angles” and “Down South,” which features Maxo Kream and Yella Beezy. The classic hip-hop references have been in full effect, promising a rap album that pays even more homage to the past while advancing Wale’s sound and stature in the future.

Folarin II is due 10/22 via Warner Records.

Lizzo Called Chris Brown Her ‘Favorite Person In The Whole World’ And Fans Aren’t Happy About It

Lizzo is no stranger to controversy, but her latest brush with the ire of social media was sparked by different circumstances than her usual experiences. Instead, she’s being questioned for her musical tastes — especially her love for the controversial Chris Brown. Backstage at Bow Wow and Omarion’s Millennium Tour kickoff at The Forum in Los Angeles, Lizzo encountered Brown and asked for a photo, gushing that “you’re my favorite person in the whole f*cking world.” Unfortunately for Lizzo, fans who observed the moment thanks to a video on Twitter didn’t share her enthusiasm

The sticking point was Brown’s problematic history with women. The most well-known incident was in 2009 when Brown pled guilty to abusing fellow singer Rihanna. Brown beat Rihanna during an incident early that year, punching her and allegedly threatening to kill her for reporting the incident to authorities. When images of the horrific damage he’d done to her face hit the internet, his then-family-friendly image crumbled and he was ostracized from many radio stations for a year. However, he’s since regained much of his popularity, charting again last year with “Go Crazy” from his collab album with Young Thug, despite most recently being accused of threatening his ex-girlfriend Karreuche Tran within the last four years.

Lizzo’s fans apparently disapproved of her loving embrace of Brown despite his history. However, she also had her fair share of defenders. Ultimately, the moment seemed to prove that even the biggest stars on the planet can’t help but keep some problematic faves. You can see more responses below.
