Coi Leray Uplifts Latto After Rapper Complains About “Hate Train”

There has been a wave of criticism hitting social media following the release of Atlanta rapper Latto’s new single “Big Energy.” The Dr. Luke-produced single is the first release from Latto in a while, marking her next era as she rolls out her sophomore studio album. It has been picked apart by music lovers on social media, who are drawing comparisons between Latto’s new song and Doja Cat’s flows, with some even calling Latto one of Doja’s “sons.”

Latto has officially fired back against the people who aren’t loving her new music, calling out her critics and saying that she’s undeserving of the hate.

“I hate this Latto hate train I feel so misunderstood being I’m literally the least problematic person ever irl,” wrote the rapper on Twitter.

She’s received support from Coi Leray, another overly-hated rapper, who told Latto to keep her head up and continue stepping on necks.

“They forget we human too,” said the trendsetter. “It’s all good keep applying pressure ! IM TEAM LATTO ALL DAY.”

Latto has been criticized for years, since before her name change. Previously, the rapper was going as “Mulatto,” which changed earlier this year when she released her single “The Biggest.” Despite the switch-up, people are still hating on Latto.

Chloe Bailey Sets The Record Straight With Tinashe: “No Beef”

Chloe Bailey has been all over social media, riding the momentum of her performance at the VMA’s this month with her live debut of her hit single “Have Mercy.” The song is a sneak peek into her launch as a solo artist, a departure from her time as one-half of the singer-sister duo Chloe x Halle. Like everything she’s been putting out lately, Chloe’s recent photo set posted to Twitter gave “bad b*tch” energy, with collaged images of the singer in an alluring red-and-white two-piece against a white backdrop. “Choose your fighter,” she playfully captioned the post, now clocking in at over 80,000 likes on the platform (view the original post below).

When the photos were posted two days ago, fans noticed that Tinashe had liked one of the post’s replies, pointing out the photoshoot’s similarities with Tinashe’s Songs For You album cover. “It’s giving @Tinashe’s album cover for Songs For You,” the reply read. Both the album cover and photo set capture the artists at a high-contrast, fish-lens-esque angle, clad in bikini sets and long gloves against a stark white background.

As usual, Twitter acted fast. Talk of “beef” between the two artists came bubbling to the surface, and it wasn’t long before Chloe set the record straight, clarifying that there was never any tension between her and Tinashe in the first place.

“Guys can you please stop,” Chloe’s tweet reads. “There’s no beef between me and @Tinashe. She’s a baddie, and I love everything she does.”

Tinashe responded to the tweet shortly afterward. “Classy queen!!!” Tinashe tweeted back. “You’re the sweetest.”

Social media is great at finding trouble where there is none, often fabricating stories and allegations before artists can speak on their own terms. Now, with the rumors debunked, fans are asking for a potential collab between the two ladies.

See the tweet that started the rumors and Chloe’s swift response to the allegations below.

Lil Nas X’s ‘That’s What I Want’ Debut Gives Him Three Songs Simultaneously In The Hot 100 Chart’s Top 10

When “Old Town Road” was becoming the biggest song of all time in terms of chart performance, there was real concern that Lil Nas X would be a one-hit wonder. As we now know, though, the rapper has gone on to have multiple hits since then. In fact, he has three hits right now: On the new Billboard Hot 100 chart dated October 2, Lil Nas X has a trio of songs in the top 10.

New to the top 10 is the recently released single “That’s What I Want,” which debuts in the No. 10 spot. Elsewhere, “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” is at No. 9, while “Industry Baby” currently sits at No. 2, its Hot 100 peak. As for the song that claimed the throne this week, that’s The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber’s “Stay,” which is now No. 1 for a sixth total week.

Having three songs in the top 10 is impressive and not something that happens all that often, but it’s also far from the most top-10 songs in a single week. That honor belongs to Drake, who landed an unprecedented nine songs in the Hot 100’s top 10 following the recent release of Certified Lover Boy. Two songs from that album are represented on this week’s top 10: “Way 2 Sexy” is at No. 3 and “Knife Talk” is at No. 8.

Kodie Shane Returns With “FaceTime” Single Featuring Rick Ross

Atlanta-raised recording artist Kodie Shane has officially returned with her new single “FaceTime,” featuring legendary rapper Rick Ross.

The new record was released on Monday following weeks of teases from the former Sailing Team member. Kodie has been hyping up her new music for a little while, getting fans prepared for her return. She didn’t go about this all by herself though, bringing Rick Ross along for the ride.

The soulful ballad features a catchy hook and verse from Kodie Shane before Rozay steps in for a show-stealing feature.

This marks the first new single from a refreshed Kodie Shane, who has emerged with a new sound, a new look, and a new outlook on life. Check out her new single below and let us know what you think.

Quotable Lyrics:

She said, “Just come over, I’m so tired of FaceTime”
She said, “If you wanted to, then you would make time”
She said, “If I wanted to, the world could be mine”
She said, “If I wanted to, the world could be mine”

Machine Gun Kelly Swings On Fan At Louder Than Life Festival

The growing tension between Machine Gun Kelly and the rock community hit a new high last week after the rapper and Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor exchanged words over social media. It began with an apparent collaboration between the two artists that didn’t end up materializing because Taylor was not entirely keen on having people interfere with his songwriting process. MGK later fired back, claiming that he ultimately didn’t think it was good enough to make his album.

This weekend, MGK performed at Louder Than Life festival where he made headlines after a group of fans began drowning out his performance with boos. The rapper later refuted that this was the case and that the media was blowing it out of proportion. Unfortunately for him, it seems that whatever beef he had with the crowd ended up getting physical. After he was booed, a fan managed to get close enough to MGK before security intervened. Though they managed to create a barrier to protect the rapper, he still tried to swing on the fan. It’s unclear if he connected the punch.

Interestingly enough, this is the second altercation — or at least near-altercation — that he’s been in this month. MGK nearly got into it with Conor McGregor at the VMA’s for supposedly denying the MMA fighter a photo with his girlfriend, Megan Fox.

Check out the footage of MGK’s Louder Than Life scrap below.
