Logic Is Back With His Quick-Rhyming Single “Vaccine”

Aside from declaring that his retirement is over, Logic has been enigmatic about what fans can expect in the months to come. He had a good run with Madlib, dishing out several singles under their combined MadGic moniker, and while there were rumors that the rapper-producer pair would be releasing a joint project sometime soon, there have been few updates regarding that collaboration.

Two weeks ago, Logic resurfaced with his single “Intro,” his first release since announcing his retirement was a thing of the past. On Friday (July 2), he popped back in with another delivery, this time with a track titled “Vaccine.” Once again Logic stands alone as he spits bars over a beat he created alongside 6ix. Stream “Vaccine” and let us know what you think of Logic’s latest.

Machine Gun Kelly “Good News” Film To Get New Name Following Mac Miller Backlash

After being called out by Mac Miller’s brother, changes are being made to Machine Gun Kelly’s upcoming film, Good News. The title of the movie gives a nod to Miller’s first posthumous single “Good News,” and the storyline of the film is said to be inspired by fallen artists like Miller, Juice WRLD, and Pop Smoke. Kelly is set to portray an artist trying to make his way in the industry, but Miller’s brother, Miller McCormick, wasn’t impressed.

F*ck you, f*ck your movie, at least change the title,” McCormick recently wrote on social media.

After McCormick’s reaction went viral, production reportedly issued a statement regarding the controversy. “Our film is about a fictional musician on the rise with a troubled life. It’s not in any way a biopic or based on any artist’s true life. We realize the title, which was intended as an homage to Mac Miller, and other artists gone too soon, feels disrespectful.”

The statement continued, “We’ve heard from many people on social media who have found offense with the title so, without hesitation, we will change it.” Filming will reportedly begin on July 8 ini Los Angeles. At this time, it is unclear ho will star in the film alongside MGK.

Demi Lovato Crowns Lizzo A ‘F*ckin Queen’ For Correcting Their Pronouns To The Paparazzi

Toward the end of May, Demi Lovato revealed that they now identify as non-binary and have changed their pronouns to they/them. The news was shared during a video introduction to a new series called, 4D With Demi Lovato.

“This has come after a lot of healing and self-reflective work,” they said with the announcement. “I’m still learning and coming into myself, and I don’t claim to be an expert or a spokesperson. Sharing this with you now opens another level of vulnerability for me.”

It’s been more than a month since Lovato shared this and while some have adjusted to the change, people like Lizzo have no issue with correcting those who fail to use the correct pronouns for Lovato. An example came when the paparazzi caught up with Lizzo, who was wearing a shirt with Lovato’s face on it, after she attended dinner at Catch LA.

“Is that a message to Demi? Should she reach out?” one of the photographers asked Lizzo in a video, to which she replied, “They,” while holding out her finger. The photographer seemed to miss Lizzo’s correction and continued, asking, “Have her team contact your team?”

Lizzo once again corrected them, saying, “Their team,” adding, “Demi goes by they now.” After catching wind of the video, Lovato reposted it to their Instagram Story and wrote, ”@lizzobeeating you f—ing queen I love you [kissing emoji] thank you.” Lizzo reshared the post to her Story with a heart emoji.

Sha’Carri Richardson Allegedly Tests Positive For Marijuana, Faces Olympics Suspension: Report

She has recently been celebrated for her triumphant performance dominating the 100-meter heat in 10.64 seconds, making her the fastest woman in the world. The win secured Sha’Carri Richardson a spot on America’s Olympic team, but on Thursday (July 1), reports surfaced that the sprinter allegedly failed a drug test. It was initially reported that Richardson “tested positive for a prohibited substance,” and soon, rumors of what that substance could be ran wild online.

Enquirer reporter Tyler Dragon surfaced on Twitter with an update, claiming that he has spoken with sources that confirmed Richardson did not test positive for steroids, as first thought.

However, he did report that Richardson’s Olympic Trials tests showed marijuana and the runner is reportedly facing a 30-day suspension as a result. Earlier today, Richardson shared a cryptic tweet that read, “I am human” without further explanation. There is speculation that she could be disqualified from the Olympics altogether, but it is reported that if a 30-day suspension is put in place, Richardson will miss the next 100-meter event.

CBS News states that Richardson’s “Olympic Trials win has been provisionally disqualified. Jenna Prandini, who came in fourth in the event at the trials, is expected to replace her if the disqualification stands.” Richardson has also reportedly withdrawn from this weekend’s “Diamond League meeting in Stockholm, where she was scheduled to run the 200 meters.”

Following her Olympic Trials win, Richardson told reporters, “This year has been crazy for me. Going from just last week, losing my biological mother, and I’m still here. … Last week, finding out my biological mother passed away and still choosing to pursue my dreams, still coming out here, still here to make the family that I do still have on this earth proud. … I’m highly grateful for them. Without them, there would be no me. Without my grandmother, there would be no Sha’Carri Richardson. My family is my everything, my everything until the day I’m done.”

Bobby Brown & Keith Sweat Make For An Old School, Memorable “Verzuz”

It was another unforgettable evening for Verzuz. Legends Bobby Brown and Keith Sweat shared the stage on Thursday (July 1) to deliver some of their greatest hits and fans weren’t disappointed. It was obvious that Sweat and Brown are friends in real life as they respected one another and even acted as each other’s hype man.

Hundreds of thousands of R&B lovers tuned in to watch these talented “old heads” come together to share some favorites from the 1980s and 1990s.

Brown couldn’t pass up the opportunity to perform a few New Edition classics and his list of songs included “Don’t Be Cruel, “Mr. Telephone Man,” “Jealous Girl, “Hit Me Off, “Rock Wit’Cha,” “Humpin’ Around,” and his Ghostbusters classic, “On Our Own.” Sweat got the ladies worked up with tracks like “Make This Last Forever,” “How Deep Is Your Love,” “Right and Wrong Way,” “Get Up On It,” and “Something Just Ain’t Right.”

Fans thought they would see special appearances by LSG or New Edition, but instead, Tank and Pleasure P came out during Keith Sweat’s last song, “Nobody.” Bobby Brown closed out the show by performing “My Prerogative,” a fitting way to bow out.

The responses to this Verzuz were filled with viewers celebrating the walk down memory lane, but of course, there were plenty of jokes to be made. That Ciroc is no joke. Check out clips, as well as reactions, below.

J Balvin And Skrillex Throw A Massive House Party In Their Electric Video For ‘In Da Getto’

J Balvin has been extremely active in 2021 and his increased presence in the music world comes just a little over a year after he dropped his fifth album, Colores. With his sixth effort seemingly just around the corner, the Latin star teams up with Skrillex to unveil their new collaboration, “In Da Getto.”

In it, the two artists call up their friends to throw a massive house party. The electric gathering features a game of spin the bottle, explosive fireworks in the night sky, and a brief session that finds Balvin getting his nails done. The visual also sees appearances from TikTok favorites Khaby Lame and dancer Mustafa.

The new song and video serve as Balvin’s fourth single of the year. He kicked off his 2021 campaign at the end of February with a trip back home to a barrio in Medellin for his “Ma’ G” video before returning weeks later with his “Tu Veneno” video. Then, at the beginning of April, he shared his third single of the year, “Otra Noche Sin Ti,” which presented a guest appearance from Khalid.

Outside of music, Balvin recently teamed up with UPS for a campaign in support of Latinx small businesses. “My early days in music felt very comparable to getting a small business off the ground, so I know what it means to start from scratch and chase your dreams,” he said about the partnership.
