Nike Air Force 1 Low “Zig Zag” Shown Off In Simple White & Black Colorway

One of the most iconic shoes of all time is the Nike Air Force 1 Low and for good reason. It has a very simple design that can be paired with virtually anything, which just goes to show versatile the sneaker can be. Over the years, the triple-white and triple-black colorways have proven to be the most iconic offerings, however, Nike has always made sure to come through with some unique colorways that have some interesting design elements.

For instance, one of the newest Air Force 1s to be revealed is the “Zig Zag” offering which can be found below. What makes the “Zig Zag” model so special is the fact that the Nike swoosh has a zig-zag aesthetic to it. Instead of a solid swoosh, we are met with various jagged lines that form the checkmark. For this new colorway, we have a classic black and white look, as the upper is covered in white leather, and the swoosh is black with a grey shadow.

No release date has been set for these although they will be hitting your local sneaker shop soon, for a price of $110 USD. Stay tuned for more sneaker updates as we will be sure to bring them to you.

Prince Track “Born 2 Die” Is Just One Of Many From The Purple One’s Vault

Ahead of the July 30th release for Prince’s first posthumous album, titled Coming 2 America, the Purple One’s estate drops a new album cut “Born 2 Die.” After the release of the album’s title track back in April of this year, the deceased singer’s estate has followed up with a new fire, yet groovable cut from his vault of unreleased material. Coming 2 America will be the first full length Prince project to be unveiled since the passing of the “Little Red Corvette” singer back in 2016.

The lyrics of the intro are enough to captivate the listener right away. “Here she comes. She’s a bad girl. She gets you high. Born to die, born to die.” From the beginning of the song, the lyrics are playful, yet serious. It’s a reminder of Prince’s cryptic song writing and how his songwriting style garnered him a devoted fan base in the first place.

The production is soulful, rich with catchy harmonies, and dripped in the Minneapolis sound that audiences have come to know Prince for. Throughout the track, the “U Got the Look” singer serves vocals about a mysterious young lady who chooses to remain stuck in her street mentality. “As far as she’s concerned, crime does pay. Ask her when she’s been from the first day,” the Minneapolis artist sings in the second verse.

Prince’s unreleased material has been the subject of speculation since his death in April of 2016. Coming 2 America is full of unreleased songs from the artist’s mysterious and elusive vault of hidden music. If the rest of the album sounds anything like “Born 2 Die” or the title track, it’s sure to remind audiences why the “Raspberry Beret” singer will always be a force to reckon with.

Quotable Lyrics:

Born to die, born to die
If you ain’t livin’ right, you know you’re
Born to die, better watch out
Get ya, get ya, so high, so high

Belly Recruits Moneybagg Yo For “Zero Love”

Belly recently announced his upcoming album See You Next Wednesday, kicking the rollout off proper with a pair of singles from the project. The first, “Money On The Table,” found him pairing up with Benny The Butcher, while the second, “IYKYK” was an entirely solitary effort. For his third trick, the Canadian emcee joins forces with Memphis heavy-hitter Moneybagg Yo for “Zero Love.”

“Jumped on this record cuz Belly and XO that’s family,” declared Bagg, speaking about the duet in a press release. “Excited about this one.” Understandably so, as “Zero Love” is another strong entry from Belly’s new album. Taking to an uptempo and hard-hitting instrumental, appropriate given Moneybagg’s presence, Belly showcases his versatility by showing restraint within his flow. On the other hand, Bagg keeps the intensity heavy as he lets fly a braggadocious verse of his own. Together they keep “Zero Love” engaging throughout — check it out for yourself now, and sound off in the comments below.

Yung Miami & Diddy Hold Hands In New Photo

Atlanta’s rap royalty was out in full force on Wednesday night, attending the Black Tie Affair birthday party for Quality Control’s CEO Pierre “P” Thomas. Making sure to go extra hard for his fortieth birthday, Thomas welcomed some of the music industry’s biggest names to his party, including Diddy, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, the City Girls, and more.

We’ve seen a bunch of pictures from last night, showing all of the guests in extravagant formalwear as they celebrated one of the sharpest businessmen in the game. Yung Miami and JT were both present and it looks like the former may have scored a pretty big fish at the party, holding hands with Diddy in one of her pictures.

“It’s a whole lot of money in this mf,” wrote Yung Miami on Instagram, quoting BIA’s hit record. In the photos, she looks amazing in a red velvet dress. When you swipe through, you’ll get to see a few different angles, as well as some guest appearances. Once you make it to the end of the slideshow, you’ll fall upon a picture of Yung Miami holding hands with Diddy, which has surprised fans on social media.

Staples Center Employees Taunt Clippers After Game 5 Loss Vs. Mavs

Throughout the years, it has been apparent that Los Angeles is Lakers town. While the Clippers exist within Los Angeles, most of the basketball fans in the city support the purple and gold. The Lakers and Clippers even play in the same arena, although at this point, it’s clear that Staples Center favors the Lakers. In fact, the Clippers are looking to move to another arena as a result of this pro-Lakers bias. No matter what they do, the Lakers will always rule Staples Center, and it’s a fact of life that the Clippers will have to live with until they move.

A great example of this bias occurred on Wednesday night as the Clippers lost to the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 of their Western Conference first-round series. The Mavs went up 3-2 in the series thanks to the win and as it turns out, Staples Center employees were taunting the Clippers as a result. ClutchPoints reporter Tomer Azarly says one employee even told him to ask Kawhi why the Clippers ducked the Lakers in the first round.

Clearly, the Staples Center employees are hoping for an early exit from the Clippers, all while they hope the opposite for their Lakers, who will be in Staples on Thursday night. The Lakers are also down 3-2 in their first-round series, and a loss against the Suns would end their season.

Needless to say, some extremely high-stakes games are being played in Los Angeles right now.

“500 Homicides” Proves Lil Durk Has Always Been “The Voice” Of The Streets

On Friday, Lil Durk is set to drop perhaps the most anticipated album of his career — the Lil Baby collab project The Voice of the Heroes. As an artist who transcended the sensational Chicago Drill era to made an even bigger splash in the contemporary Hip-Hop landscape, Lil Durk is fortunate to have lived many lives.

Ironically, this week marks somewhat of a full-circle moment for the OTF rapper because his debut album Remember My Name celebrates its six-year anniversary days before the release of The Voice of the Heroes. Lil Durk’s debut peaked at #14 on the Billboard 200, and it spawned the Jeremih-assisted single “Like Me.” However, it was through songs like “500 Homicides” that listeners saw a glimpse of the artist that Lil Durk would go on to become.

“500 Homicides” served as the high-energy intro to Remember My Name, and its title serves as a reminder of Chicago’s murder rate in 2014. Produced by C-Sick, “500 Homicides” features an aggressive and compelling performance from Durk, as he bodies the track while recounting stories about street life and characteristically sending an onslaught of menacing threats.

With only hours until The Voice of the Heroes finally drops, get ready for Lil Durk and Lil Baby’s collab project by listening to some OG Durk. Check out the music video for “500 Homicides” below.

Quality Control Rapper Metro Marrs Knows He’s Going To “Prosper”

One week after making national news headlines, Quality Control rapper Metro Marrs has released his new single and music video for “Prosper.”

The 18-year-old rapper has been making waves as Quality Control’s youngest signing, impressing listeners on the road to his debut mixtape Popular Loner. A few days ago, the rapper graduated from high school, throwing $10,000 into the crowd as he walked across the stage. The students loved his act of generosity but the police weren’t so impressed, detaining the rising star for allegedly inciting a riot. Following his stunt, Metro returns with new music.

Nothing is standing in way of the teenage rapper’s success as he manifests his wins in his latest single “Prosper,” repeating to himself that he will rise above regardless of what obstacles are set in his way. Listen to the new record below and stay tuned for his debut mixtape Popular Loner, which drops on June 18.

Quotable Lyrics:

On the other side, sometimes, do you mind it?
Think I lost my other Patek, I can’t find it
No ID, lil’ n***a, I walk in and I get my bread
It’s that bank calling, it’s that B.B. Simon’s
It’s that Ksubi denim, all I know I’m fresh with denim
Yeah, and you know I cash out

Bruno Mars And Anderson .Paak Have Finally Released Another New Song — A Jingle For Rum

Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak are still enjoying the success of their sole Silk Sonic single “Leave The Door Open”: The song recently returned to No. 1 on the charts for a second week, and on the latest Billboard Hot 100, it’s still in the top 5. Still, the song was released three months ago now and fans are craving more from the duo. Well, today, they’ve gotten more, albeit in a form they likely weren’t expecting: Mars and .Paak have collaborated on a new jingle for SelvaRey Rum, a rum brand that Mars co-owns.

The duo also got James Fauntleroy on the track, which was produced by “Leave The Door Open” producer Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II. As would be expected from a commercial jingle, it’s a brief and jaunty tune, although it ends with some smooth, Silk Sonic-style soul.

Mars says in a statement, “Rum is really synonymous with joy. Anyone holding a good rum cocktail is exactly where they want to be. That’s what I wanted people to feel with this campaign. And SelvaRey Coconut delivers the ultimate drink every time. It’s hands down the best coconut rum you’ve ever tasted. Who wouldn’t be happy with a SelvaRey Piña Colada in their hand?”

He also wrote on social media, “My friends and I are Co Owners of this delicious rum. Us being all musicians it’s only right that we put together the official jingle for @selvareyrum .This was fun!”

Check out the jingle above.

OMB Peezy Says There’s No Smoke With Roddy Ricch Or 42 Dugg After Arrest

OMB Peezy was arrested earlier this year for his alleged role in a shooting that occurred on the set of Roddy Ricch and 42 Dugg’s music video for “4 Da Gang.” The incident happened back in February and on the first of March, the rapper was arrested and taken into police custody. For one of the first times since his release from jail, OMB Peezy is speaking out about what happened.

“I was just trying to figure out what the fuck was going on, why the police at my door for,” said the “Big Homie” rapper during his latest talk with HipHopDX. “Because if I done did anything, I would have been gone. If I was guilty of anything, you wouldn’t have caught me at my mothafuckin’ house, straight the fuck up.”

Before the shooting, a feud between OMB Peezy and Roddy Ricch or 42 Dugg had not been documented. According to Peezy, that’s because there were no issues with the two stars.

“I don’t have no smoke with Roddy Ricch,” he said. “I don’t have no smoke with 42 Dugg. Nobody from CMG, no none of that. They love me over there in Roddy Ricch hood. I love them back too. But you know, the internet will try to run with it and try to make their own story and shit. But I don’t have no problem with them people and they don’t have no problem with me. Like real talk, it really isn’t no beef. Never was no beef.”

Peezy met Dugg and Ricch for the first time at the music video shoot. The case is still ongoing and Peezy has been on house arrest ever since his release. Read more at the link below.
