Tion Wayne Comes Through With New Single “Wow”

Following the release of he and Russ Millions’ hit “Body,” which went on to spark a Jack Harlow-assisted remix, North London’s Tion Wayne has continued to make waves with the new single “Wow.” Fueled by the production work of CZR Beats and Pxtrik, who conjure up a lively drill banger fueled by a chopped and processed vocal sample, Tion wastes little time in establishing undeniable charisma.

“I don’t give a fuck right now, right now, why everybody judge like Simon Cowell?” he raps, catching a slick pocket in the track’s confident chorus. “Pull up on my IG, undercover / But you don’t like me, suck your mutha.” Pairing his distinctive slang with clever punchlines, Tion’s performance on “Wow” should go a long way in establishing him as one to look out for. Of course, he’s already made a hell of an impression, and it should be interesting to see where he goes from here.

In the meantime, check out “Wow” now, and sound off if you appreciate what Tion Wayne is bringing to the table.

Blueface Reveals How Much He Paid For Logan Paul-Floyd Mayweather Tickets

Thousands of people are outraged after Logan Paul’s fight against legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather. Many were expecting the undefeated fighter to knock the YouTuber out, paying good money to watch the loudmouth get punched in his mouth, but the match-up ended up going the distance, lasting all eight rounds. If you’ve been checking the post-fight coverage on Twitter, you surely have seen all the comments from people asking for their money back after what was deemed a “boring” fight. Even those that were live in attendance, including rapper Blueface, are regretful over their big-money decisions to watch the fight.

Revealing that he paid over $12,000 to watch the match live, Blueface posted on his story that he wishes he would have just stayed home.

“I’m mad as a motherf*cker,” said Blueface after the night ended. “I spent like $12,000 for this… Never again.”

The rapper was hanging out around Akon, who he asked whether this was the worst boxing match of all time. “The worst?” asked Akon. “Nah, that wasn’t the worst,” he said, disagreeing with Blueface’s overdramatization.

Blueface surely isn’t the only person who was disappointed about last night. Reactions from the public have been loud, commenting on how much “hugging” happened during the bout, the performances beforehand, and more.

Floyd Mayweather-Logan Paul Clip Leads To Knockout Conspiracy

With Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather’s fight going all eight rounds, some fans feel like they were cheated out of an incredible result. Some wanted to see a massive upset while others were hopeful that Mayweather would knock Logan out. In the end, neither of those things happened and in the aftermath, many have taken to social media where they have complained about what went down.

One Twitter account, however, spotted something unique during the fight. In the clip below, Mayweather lands a big punch on Logan and it even looks like Logan may have been knocked out. However, as Logan looks to fall over, Mayweather helps hold him up, which then allows Paul to regain his bearings before continuing on with the fight.

While there is no guarantee that this is what, indeed, happen, the speculation has been palpable ever since the clip appeared on social media. Considering how the fight ended, many are looking for something redeemable to draw from the fight, and it seems like this specific moment is the one that most people are trying to talk about. Even if it’s more of a conspiracy theory than anything else, at least it’s something interesting to talk about.

The Weeknd Won Five 2021 Juno Awards Including Artist Of The Year

After excoriating the Grammys for leaving him locked out this year, The Weeknd got some measure of redemption over the… ahem… weekend at his home country’s analogue awards ceremony, the Juno Awards. Sunday night, he was awarded two wins, Album and Artist Of The Year, after taking home awards for Contemporary R&B Recording Of The Year for After Hours, Single Of The Year for “Blinding Lights,” and Songwriter Of The Year. All told, he took five awards out of the six for which he was nominated, only missing out on the Juno Fan Choice Award, which Shawn Mendes won.

The Weeknd lashed out at the Grammys committee after the nominees were announced last year, revealing that he wasn’t nominated for any awards, astonishing fans who assumed he’d be a shoo-in with one of the biggest records of both the year and his career. The Weeknd himself accused the committee of corruption, a claim which the Recording Academy denied. However, that didn’t stop him from boycotting the show, proclaiming he’d no longer submit for consideration — even after the Academy worked to address some of the issues that caused him to be snubbed.

Meanwhile, he also led the nominations for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, taking home ten, and has been teasing a new era, putting the controversy — for the most part — in the rear view.

Megan Thee Stallion Teases Her Comeback Single ‘Thot Sh*t’

Megan Thee Stallion‘s been on a break but it looks like she’s coming back just in time for the return of Hot Girl Summer. After posting a tweet proclaiming her alter ego “Tina Snow is back” yesterday, the Houston Hottie followed up today with the pre-save link to her first post-Good News single, “Thot Sh*t,” which arrives this Friday, June 11.

Meg spent the last two months on a social media hiatus, calling it a “period of regeneration” in a tweet announcing the break. “Due to the demands of the Hot Girl lifestyle has now entered a period of regeneration to prepare for what’s next,” the announcement read. “In her absence; mgmt will manage all social posting on behalf of Thee Hot Girl Coach. Meg herself followed up, adding, “I’ll be back when it’s time.”

It seems that she used the time off to recalibrate. Although she’s become a chart-topping superstar since the release of her Tina Snow mixtape in 2018, some fans have grumbled that EPs like Fever and her debut album Good News, although spawning a number of hits, haven’t had the same energy as her breakout tape. Hopefully, by returning to the alter ego that first endeared her to fans, she can get back on the right track.

Meanwhile, despite her time spent “away,” there’s still been plenty of Stallion news, as she appeared in DJ Khaled’s “I Did It” video, led the 2021 BET Awards nominations, and landed a number of festival roster spots, including Governor’s Ball in New York, Bottlerock in California’s Napa Valley, and Barcelona’s Primavera Sound.

Megan Thee Stallion is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Cam’ron’s Shares Footage Of His Neighbor Trying To Break Into His Apartment

Cam’ron’s Instagram page is a hub for wild internet videos, luxurious flexes, and now, the home to his reality internet series, The Neighbor. The Dipset rapper has been documenting his fling with his neighbor who he refers to as 19C. The on-and-off fling began with a video sent to his IG DMs from his neighbor who declared that she’d be willing to have his children. Though uninterested in that particular proposition, Cam admittedly hooked up with her to his own detriment.

A few weeks ago, the rapper revealed the massive twist: he may have gotten the neighbor’s sister pregnant. This was a result of 19C plastering sticky notes all over his Audi R8, demanding that he return her calls. Ultimately, this all seems to be a promotional plan for his natural male enhancement supplement, Pink Horse Power, but his issues with his neighbors have seemingly gotten worse since “the season finale.”

The rapper took to the ‘Gram where he shared another video of his neighbor attempting to break into his condo unit after his friend arrived at his door. His friend attempts to slide through the door while 19C attempted to get through the door “You back in town and you think not to tell nobody,” she said. “You think I wasn’t going to find out?!”

“I’ve been naming this situation “The Neighbor” and now this bitch really thinks we are in a sitcom,” he explained. Cam wrote that he’s been out of town for a month and thought that things had cooled off. “My bro @nowwutdotcom came to check me and didn’t know what 19C looked like. He thought she was just someone who lived on my floor. When I opened the door, she tried to breach da crib,” he continued, adding that he has even more footage of his neighbor’s harassment.

“To all my family and friends, if you come see me make sure no one NO ONE is lurking in da elevator or hallway. I did all I can not to go to police, but now it’s getting physical,” he warned.

J. Cole Reps Lloyd Banks’ “The Course Of The Inevitable”

J. Cole is not exactly active on social media, generally using his platforms of Instagram and Twitter to promote his musical and entrepreneurial endeavors. Most recently, Cole has been shining a light on his brand new album The Off-Seasonwhich continues to see success on the charts with songs like “My Life,” “Pride Is The Devil,” and “Amari.”

Now, Cole has opted to showcase a project that he’s been keeping on steady rotation, taking a moment to applaud Lloyd Banks’ recent album The Course Of The Inevitable. Ever the man of few words, Cole opted to let emojis speak in their stead, highlighting the mindblowing and impressive nature of Banks’ formidable pen game.

Though Banks has yet to respond to Cole’s lofty co-sign, producer CartuneBeatz, who contributed several standout instrumentals to The Course Of The Inevitable including “Sidewalks,” the Freddie Gibbs-assisted “Empathy,” and “Falsified” with Ransom shared a few celebratory words. “S/O to @JColeNC for sharing and supporting@Lloydbanks project Course of The Inevitable,” he writes. “Let’s keep this going!”

With first-week sales projections yet to land, many have been curious to see how Banks’ return fares. Released as an independent project with a non-traditional rollout — not to mention a strong emphasis on bars, gritty boom-bap, and flow — many have been rooting for Banks to come back strong. After all, there have already been rumblings of a potential Album Of The Year contender, and J. Cole’s spirited praise certainly doesn’t hurt.

Tobe Nwigwe Shares Juneteenth Anthem “Passing Through”

Apple Music recently unveiled a powerful new playlist called Freedom Songs, featuring original compositions and covers inspired by Juneteenth. Featuring music from D Smoke, Black Thought, H.E.R, Chloe X Halle, Tobe Nwigwe, and more, the latter opened up about his melodic contribution “Passing Through.”

“We all here on a temporary mission, everything on this Earth is temporary,” explains Nwigwe, speaking on the song in an official press release. “This is not your ‘forever place.’ I want my people to understand that specifically, just because I don’t want them to think that it’s gon’ be like this forever. It ain’t gon’ be like this forever; soon you gon’ be in paradise. Soon you gon’ be way better off than you are now.”

It’s a testament to Nwigwe’s versatility and vision, as “Passing Through” is notably different from some of his recent tracks. It’s certainly one of his most emotional tracks in a minute — check it out for yourself now, and be sure to give the entire Freedom Songs playlist a listen right here.

EST Gee Drops Off “Bigger Than Life Or Death”

Songs may be getting shorter and shorter on average, but that’s not to say they’re lacking intensity. Today, EST Gee has come through to drop off his new single “Bigger Than Life Or Death,” which clocks in at a little under two minutes. Off the top, it’s clear he’s not about wasting time, getting right to business with a braggadocious opening verse.

“Round here it cost six figures to get the pay tag,” he spits. “With a bitch who say she the realest but she got fake ass / I pop all these perks, when I don’t it’ll make my day bad.” As the track progresses, Gee switches up the flow, whipping up a relentless scheme over an atmospheric synth string. “N***as got a better chance at playing the lottery than playing with us,” he muses. “Faking tough I called his bluff / set the bait, kill the wolf / your opinion don’t mean nothin’, you ain’t never sling with us.”

Check out “Bigger Than Life Of Death,” which certainly makes the most of its runtime, right here.
