Mariah Carey Teams Up With Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis For “Somewhat Loved (There You Go Breakin’ My Heart)”
It’s a musical legends affair on Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis’ latest offering “Somewhat Loved (There You Go Breakin’ My Heart).” The iconic production duo recruited Mariah Carey for the new single, which is expected to appear on their upcoming debut studio album Jam & Lewis, Volume 1. Other featured artists include Mary J. Blige, Charlie Wilson, Boyz II Men and Morris Day, Jerome Benton and The Roots, Toni Braxton and Heather Headley.
“When we started Jam & Lewis: Volume 1, we put a wishlist together of all our favorite artists. The chance to reunite with our friend and fellow Songwriters Hall of Fame partner Mariah was wishlist fulfillment at its finest,” Jam and Lewis said in a press statement announcing the exciting collaboration.
“Working with Jimmy & Terry through the years has been one of the greatest creative journeys I’ve ever taken,” Carey said in the same statement. “It’s a great honor for me to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime album!”
Early last week, the Grammy-winning songstress parted ways with JAY-Z’s Roc Nation Management team to partner with Range media citing her desire to work with a small team.

Drake Comments On DJ Khaled’s Awkward Boxing Ring Performance
Last night was a massive one if you’re invested in the beef between YouTubers and TikTok stars. The Battle of the Platforms saw numerous boxing matches go down on Pay Per View, and the main attraction was a fight between Austin McBroom and Bryce Hall. In the end, it was McBroom who came out victorious as he delivered a third-round TKO.
There was quite a bit of entertainment between fights, including a performance from DJ Khaled. The infamous DJ played some tracks from his new album and he mostly provided ad-libs while running around the boxing ring. Unfortunately, this didn’t garner much of a response from the crowd, which led to some cringey and downright awkward moments that eventually went viral. In fact, Drake commented on the matter with some laughing emojis, saying “epic.”

Drake and Khaled have collaborated in the past and as we know, Drake has no problems making some jokes at his friend’s expense. As for Khaled, he has been known to take things very seriously at times, although we hope there are no hard feelings here. After all, you can’t help deny just how dead the crowd was during the entire ordeal.
Either way, the fans at the stadium got their money’s worth as there was plenty of decent boxing to go around, especially considering who the participants were.

Instagram Gallery: City Girls
The City Girls have been the unofficial queens of twerk music since their 2018 release “Act Up.” Stars and fans alike have integrated the girls’ signature “PERIODT” ad-lib into everyday conversation and captions across the web. The girl group’s most recent single “Twerkulator” was an instant hit, making the first solo Billboard debut for the pair.
As far as the individuals within the group, JT has been a frequent blog topic due to her new relationship with Lil Uzi Vert, while Yung Miami remains a less-sourced name, but an anchor for the duo’s success.
JT first made headlines in 2019 for serving jail time for former credit card fraud charges, while Yung Miami kept spirits high during JT’s absence, serving as the face of the duo for a good two years. She often shared videos of JT with fans, while their following grew steadily.

Once JT was released from prison, the girls got to work quickly, dropping City On Lock in 2020. The album was a successful and impactful return for the two, featuring hits “Pussy Talk” and “Jobs.” Since that time, they’ve released limited music, allowing City On Lock to flourish while focusing more on growing online and IRL.

Donovan Mitchell Reacts After Suffering Ankle Injury
Donovan Mitchell is one of the best players in the NBA right now and he has been incredible in the NBA Playoffs. Last night, he scored 30 points for the Jazz although it wasn’t enough as they were blown out by the Los Angeles Clippers. During the game, Mitchell had an awkward landing on his right ankle, which led to him leaving the game with his foot wrapped up.
These scenes scared Jazz fans as they weren’t sure if it meant he would be out for an extended period of time. After the game, Mitchell spoke to reporters and assured everyone that he is going to be just fine. In fact, Mitchell is confident that he will be ready to go for Game 4, which is in just a few days from now.
“It’s when I land. I’ve been trying to manage it. I don’t know what else to say—I don’t want to say too much. I’m good. I’ll be ready for Game 4,” Mitchell explained via The Salt Lake Tribune.
With the Clippers taking Game 3, they have some momentum right now and it will be up to Mitchell and his teammates to stop said momentum in its tracks. Regardless, this series just became competitive, and it should prove to be a lot of fun.

Tone Stith Connects With Kiana Ledé, H.E.R. & Others On The “FWM’ EP
Tone Stith has finally arrived with his FWM EP. After previously teasing fans with the self-titled lead single “FWM,” “Like The First Time,” and “When You Love Someone,” featuring the Grammy-winning multi-hyphenate H.E.R., he debuted the nine-track project on Friday (June 11).
The R&B collection showcases Tone’s triple-threat skills as a songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. On the creative process for the new project, Tone explains, “This was one of the best creative times for me. Every day was a different day. I worked with a different writer and producer every day and whatever we made was a VIBE! It will be different than any body of work I put out before.”
As for the project’s name, he explained, “I feel like I’m older now. I’m 25 and I feel like it’s a different side of me. I want to show everybody that you’ve heard of me before, but now it’s really time to f*ck with me pretty much.”

Blu & Sirplus Pair Top-Tier Bars & Soulful Production On “For Sale”
It’s been nearly a year since Blu and Exile reunited for on wax for Miles which, unfortunately, they didn’t get to tour off of due to the pandemic. It was an excellent collaborative effort reminding fans of their chemistry on wax on 2007’s Below The Heavens. However, Blu has kept it pushing with new material, now returning alongside Sirplus, a protegé of Exile, for their new EP, For Sale. The eight-track effort brings together Blu’s effortless lyricism to the fold along with Sirplus’s bright, soulful production. The project includes appearances from PCH, Nolan The Ninja, and more.
“Sirplus is my guy,” Blu said. “He is the newest member of the Dirty Science crew, and I could tell he had talent and skill. I knew I had to work with him.”
Rob $tone & Rubi Rose Link Up For The Undeniably Catchy Single “I Love It”
Coming out of California, Rob $tone has always made sure to pay homage to his influences. The state is known for tracks that have a ton of bounce to them and over the past few years, $tone has experimented with that sound quite a bit. Now, on his new song “I Love It” with Rubi Rose, $tone takes that sound to a whole new level as he comes through with an anthem that is all about wanting to get freaky.
Throughout the track, $tone delivers lyrics about flying a girl out and what he plans to do with her once she touches down. The lyrics are straightforward and suggestive, all while Rubi Rose helps carry the torch in the second half of the song. She raps from the women’s perspective and the verses make the song feel like a real duet of sorts.
