Drake Still Thinks He “Woulda Smoked” Murda Mook In The Battle Rap Arena

There are few battle rappers who’ve managed to turn into recording artists but there are even fewer mainstream rappers who are able to survive in that particular setting. A few years ago, Drake hinted at a leap into the battle rap arena but that never came to fruition. Instead, he’s opted to support the battle rap circuit through his star power.

Last night, the rapper was in the building for URL NOME XI event where he made his presence felt. Not only did he offer an update on CLB but he upped the ante during Geechi Gotti vs. Rum Nitty. The rapper put up an additional $50K to the pot, making things a little bit spicier. However, it also ended up being an opportunity where the busy Canadian rapper to catch up with some friends, and potential rivals.

If you recall, Drake once nearly got into the battle rap arena with Murda Mook for Blackout 5. He ultimately declined the match up but he told Mook that first, he would have to be Surf Tsu. Many simply thought that Drake was a tad bit shook but he apparently is still curious about what the results would’ve been. The rapper took to the ‘Gram after last night’s event where he shared a photo of himself and Murda Mook in the cut.

“Me and @murdamookez talking shit about our bars for the battle that never happened,” Drizzy captioned the photo. “Woulda smoked you.”

Drake is still playing a big role within the battle rap community. Perhaps, we’ll see Drake try his hand at battle rapping following the release of Certified Lover Boy.

Do you think Drake would survive against Murda Mook? Comment below with your thoughts.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Debuts His New Teeth

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie has been relatively low-key in 2021. Aside from the occasional feature here and there, his last solo material, aside from the recently released “24 Hours” with Lil Durk, was back in 2020 with the Artist 2.0 (Deluxe). This year, he very publically split with his longtime girlfriend and mother of his children Ella Bands.

Previously identified with his signature crooked smile, it seems like his interpersonal relationships are not the only thing that have changed for the Bronx native. Taking to TikTok to share his new pearly whites, the rapper debuted his updated smile for fans.

“Young n*gga with the fixed teeth and a pistol,” penned the “Swervin” artist in the caption of the TikTok. In the video, he gives a wide grin to the camera as he previewed new music.

In another video shared on his Instagram page Saturday (June 12), he again smiles at the camera as he says, “Get off my motherf*ckin…” before the footage cuts off. He added in the caption, “Thanks [prayer-hands emoji].”

Reactions to the New Yorker’s new smile were mixed. “Take them back!!!! NOWWWW!!!” commented one fan. “Is it bad that I prefer his crooked tooth?” admitted another.

Of course, all that matters if that A Boogie is happy with his new grin. What do you think of his new teeth? Sound off in the comments.

Lil Baby Says He Wants To Help Get Rappers In The Boxing Ring

Last night, the YouTubers and TikTokers faced off in the latest event for celebrity boxing. Of course, when two of the biggest social media platforms link up for an event, there’s going to be some blockbuster acts touching down for performances. Lil Baby was among those who hit the stage but before he did, he sat down with Charlamagne Tha God for a brief interview. While Baby remained apolitical in his preference between the YouTubers and TikTokers, he did seem interested in seeing some of his peers throw hands in the ring.

“I was telling you, man, we need to do this with the rappers,” Charlamagne told Baby who seemed keen on using the relationships he’s built within the industry to set up a hip-hop celebrity boxing match.

“I’m willin’ to help set it up,” Baby said.

“I think you can pull it off,” replied Charlamagne. “What I’m noticin’, everybody like to talk to each other on social media but, man, they could put some gloves on and hit the ring and handle they business.”

With friction within hip-hop circles at an all-time high, Baby thought that an event of that nature would be “a hell of a situation.” Charlamagne added that the YouTubers and TikTokers are “showing more heart” than the rappers to which Baby replied, “Naw, we just gotta set it up.”

Who do you want to see step into the boxing ring? Sound off in the comments below.

Polo G Speaks Out For The First Time Following His Miami Arrest

Over the weekend, while down in Miami celebrating the release of his latest effort Hall of Fame, Polo G, along with his siblings and girlfriend and a few members of his crew, were arrested. While leaving the venue of his release party, Polo’s mother Stacia Mac took to social media to call out Miami PD for pulling him over, subsequently arresting him.

The “For the Love of New York” artist was arrested and booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center at 8 a.m. Saturday (June 12) on multiple charges including battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief. Emilia Clarke Reveals New Suspect Behind Infamous “GoT” Coffee Cup Scene

It’s been two years since the smash series Game of Thrones ended. However, fans of the show still have questions that have been largely left unanswered. Fortunately, Emilia Clarke was more than spill the tea during a recent appearance on TheSkimm.

On Friday, June 11th, Emilia Clarke made an appearance on theSkimm’s online video series “Texting With.” Clarke indulged in details surrounding her experiences with her castmates, as well as the infamous on screen appearance of a random Starbucks cup in an episode. For the record, that coffee cup did not belong to Clarke. The Mother of Dragons insists that she does not drink Starbucks and that the cup belonged to show co-creator, Dan Weiss.

“It’s not Starbucks — spoiler,” Clarke said of her drink of choice in the morning. “So I’m going to say it again for the record was not mine. It was not mine. Looking at you Dan Weiss.”

Clarke also went into detail over the different roles the cast played off-camera. According to the actress, many of the actors on set offered therapeutic advice to one another in between tapings. “I think everyone probably had their own individual ones for me, Jacob and Natalie had to deal with a lot of ‘Hey guys, I’ve got some really big questions about life and the universe and everything,” Clarke said.

During the interview, Clarke also mentioned future projects she’s currently working on. Her comic book, Mother of Madness, is set to be released soon. “There is a young woman who hates what her body does because when she’s on her period, weird stuff happens,” Clarke said of the comic book’s plot. “She’s a single mother. Her child has autism. And she stumbles upon people in need of help and she starts to realize that the things that she felt terrible about that she’d got every month were actually pretty thoughtful in fighting the greater good.”

Check out her interview below.
